Reviews of Rena Health & Leisure at Leonardo Royal London Tower Bridge

Had a birthday surprise and was booked in for 1night with spa access. The room was lovely, nice view and spaces. Clean all around and had both a bath tub and separate shower. Had to call reception to send up a menu for room service. Bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were amazing (to my standard) check out was at 12midday so that made me very happy. The spa facilities were a let down. The pool was extremely full and did not have enough loungers to accommodate all the people in there so we had no where to place our clean towels. Lots of signs before going saying no pictures to be taken so I left my phone in the lockers provided. 2/3 shower facilities were working and the handles were half broken and rusty. Foot spa did not work. Steam room and sauna were okay, only 2 people at a time so we had to wait around an hour in the pool to finally get in there. Jacuzzi was closed off as well. It’s in a great location but overpriced for what is offered.

One night stay with friends and the little ones really enjoyed the pool, and steam sauna room.
The rooms were clean and big.
Had a good stay no complaints will go back for a relaxed days.

I went with a few friends for a Spa day here. The ladies changing rooms, didn't actually have any private changing area, only 2 toilets (1 of which didn't have a lock), 3 showers and a small area where the lockers are which got very cramped as it got busy.
The pool was room temperature but becomes very cold once you go into the steam or sauna area, the pool should be heated in the winter months. The lounge chairs were packed with people when we got in, which was around 1pm.
Overall the sauna, steam and jacuzzi was nice. The back, shoulder and neck massage I got was also very good.

The poolside showers are disgusting not even usable the foot spa ones freezing like your in Antarctica ones hot two are not working and the other two are just don't know what to say also the tiling on the foot spa seats are missing it's these little details that ruin everything to me. on the plus side the sauna and steam room is nice swimming pools good just the waterfall at the end is not working which I wasn't surprised about so yeah if your a hotel guest here and you've spent your money I would be complaining about that I just came for a one day spa so 35 quid so what do they care

Treatments were very good. The team is fantastic.
BUT
The day we had our spa day the jacuzzi was off for maintenance in last minute and the Hallam was also not working.
Which leaves you you almost nothing nice apart from the pool. Really disappointing. The showers are old and a bit smelly.
Go for treatments and massages but skip the spa part :(

People should stop moaning about this venue. I have a membership and has nothing negative to say about them. About cleanliness, there is always a cleaner in the locker room every 15mns,also one by the pool. They will inform if there is any issue on arrival. The ladies at the reception are always courteous and extremely helpful. Im happy with my membership and wouldn't change it for anything else. Customer service is on point except for people with a grotesque sense of entitlement.

The pool is great but sadly the showers at the pool are in need of attention. One doesn't work and the middle one is often too hot and doesn't work properly. It's been a bit hit and miss as to whether they've had enough towels so I've had to complain on 3 separate visits in order to get towels. It's often v wet around the pool and as I've had lots of surgery am sometimes v cautious so I don't slip.
I am paying a monthly membership and often feel the standards are a bit slack.

Lovely hotel, great rooms. Nice pool, although my husband did manage to cut his foot on the bottom of the pool. But they were there with a first aid it.

I had a lovely facial but was very expensive for what it was, just because it was a Friday. The room we stayed in also had issues as the heating didn't work. All in all disappointing 😞.

The spa was in general a bit dirty here and there, but apart from that overall it was ok. I can't speak too much to the massage as I did appreciate having a choice of facilities- steam and sauna room, jacuzzi pool and foot baths. Lovely ceiling showers over the pool aswell. We were on a hen and the group were running 10 Mins late, so only got a 15 minute (instead of 25mins) massage. It was nice for the time I got it for.

I'm a mum of two who really needed this short break and the staff members clearly understood this lol! They were amazing and so were the facilities too. They were clean and there wasn't a long wait to use the steam room, jacuzzi and pool. I was able to use all of them. I definitely will be coming back here more often because of the lovely staff and the clean facilities.

Basic spa facilities and the seats in the relaxation area were stained so didn’t really want to stay there. No tea or water offered but Georgina was AMAZING. Super relaxing massage and facial. Instead of leaving me alone when the mask was on I got a wonderful scalp massage that I didn’t want to stop. No minute was wasted.

Lovely place! Professional, soothing and we were well taken care of.

Rena spa is a beautiful relaxing spa made for a small amount of people.
Loved relax space
once i got in , they gave me the change and the slipper sandal .
But when i went inside the pool there was no enough chairs to lay down and relax.
Jacuzzi and sauna awesome, and as well the glass of prosecco served in relax room witg soft music.
please manage about chairs and it is gonna be really nice experience visit this spa

Lacklustre spa. Visited twice and there is always something broken. They also clean the jacuzzi in the middle of the afternoon for an hour. Everything needs a deep clean, there is a lot of limescale everywhere. The hotel needs to invest properly in the spa if they want people to visit loyally.

I have noticed several issues with the services and facilities. Whenever I have raised these issues, the manager (and the previous manager) repeat themselves saying they're aware of the issues and that they're being addressed.
Locker room is often cold. Swimming pool is also often cold and since I have mentioned it twice, it seemed ok afterwards. The ceiling shower at the end of the swimming pool does not work.
The foot jacuzzis did not work for 1.5 months! The large jacuzzi no longer works. And I can't accept the excuse the manager gives saying there is an outside contractor dealing with this as it requires certain parts, that are not ‘’off the shelf’’, therefore it takes a longer time to receive them. Pathetic excuse!
Hotel guests have also complained, I believe. I also chatted to a few other guys in the locker room, and they also expressed the fact that they were unhappy with the facilities. I encouraged them to complain, as for some annoying reason, people in London just put up with bad service, and rarely complain!
The bin next to the sink/washbasins in the men's locker room is broken. You have to lift the lid with your hand, which I don't think is hygenic.
The disabled shower and toilet is sometimes kept locked. I have complained and now they leave it unlocked. The disabled shower is faulty! The water pressure is now not much and it is some kind of a weird needle shower type thingy! You turn the temperature and get it right, and then the nozzle swings back to HOT! This means one has to hold it in place with one hand and then wash oneself with another hand.
The steam room is often too hot. A sudden hot wave of steam often comes out of nowhere and leaves me out of breath. So I can't use it for as long as I want to.
The showers by the pool are ridiculously inconvenient! One of them has several; buttons for various "types" of water pressure. Rain shower, needle shower etc. But none of it seems to work properly. Often, it is impossible to get the water to a bearable temperature. Often it also just does not work. Sometimes, it is just broken and the hose is dislocated. A normal shower would be the best option.
The other shower by the pool is impossible to use. You turn it on and hold the hose over your body, and the next thing you know.... there's cold water falling on to you from the ceiling! You turn the nozzle to make it warm and it gets really hot.
The shower in the locker rooms are not fixed on the wall but on the ceiling, so it is impossible to have a shower without getting one's hair wet. I find this incredibly difficult as I find it difficult to breathe properly. But I don't think any other guys have found this to be a problem. I am not sure if this particular point can be taken as a complaint, but if the shower is fixed on the wall, like in most places, it would be more convenient.
The other inconvenient thing is that you get a key to the locker in a safety pin, so now you have to carry that key around with you, to the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and swimming pool, gym etc. Many people pin it to their clothes and as the safety pin is large and thick it could ruin good fabrics. Not to mention risky of getting pricked! Some customers pin the key to their towel and leave it in the lounge chairs when they swim, but I don't think it is safe. I have heard from other guests about thefts in the gym.
The boxes of tissues right beside the sinks/washbasins is a waste. They are always damp or sometimes sogging wet. This is because when you wash your hands, the water splashes around. I try to be careful and wash my hands slowly but I see most men wash their hands vigorously and the water splashes about and wets the boxes of tissue.
The hand dryer has never worked, I believe. Every time I try to use it, I realise that it is just there and not working. But on 2 occasions it did work, from what I remember. I am not sure if it still works.
On one occasion, the pilates instructor lady did not turn up for the class!

Excellent breakfast selection, beautiful comfortable bedrooms and within easy reach of places

Fantastic massage, could have been slightly more soundproofed. Swimming cool nice and steam room too. Quite busy though, even for a Friday morning.

Treatments were good, SPA was a little disappointing. Decent sized steam rooms X2, but the jacuzzi and foot spa were both out of action and the pool was a little rowdy when we went.

Absolutely loved this place. Facilities were fantastic. Central to everything x

Clean facilities. Would be 5 star but COVID restrictions mean that some of the equipment had to be closed

Friendly staff, nice relaxing massage. Good pool nice area around it. Good food in bar.

Afternoon tea and prosecco

This is hands-down the most accessible day-spa I’ve visited.
Braille in the lifts, wide accessible corridors, large accessible change rooms, even a built-in hoist to help get in and out of the pool.

Fantastic deep tissue massage, friendly beautician. Great spa with jacuzzi.. A bit bigger pool, or a section to relax in the water would be nice.
I'll be back
