Always impressed with this venue as it's amazing inside and well organised. We were concerned on our latest visit as we had someone with us who had health issues so we thought we might have to leave the gig early if she couldn't manage to stand, but the box office staff were great and managed to find us seating at late notice so we didn't have to miss a second. Excellent service and concert!

This was the first time visiting the Roundhouse and it has almost immediately become one of my top venues for live music. The auditorium as you would gather from the name is round and this offers amazing acoustics. I found the sound to offer great bass, some loss around the mids, and decent highs. This translated to feeling that kick and vibration from the drums and bass, and being able to clearly hear the vocals. The guitars lost some clarity but not an issue if you know exaxtly what is being played.
The building itself has a very interesting history, is easy to walk to, has plenty of places to eat nearby, along with toilets and bars on each of the different floors. Staff were professional and friendly and the emphasis was very much on enjoying good times safely. While masks were not enforced, there was ample space to see the band keeping a distance from others, and also plenty of sanitation points.
I will absolutely be keeping an eye out for bands I like that are booked to play here.

Amazing venue for concerts and gigs! I've been there twice now and every time it's been a wonderful experience. The venue feels so personal and when you get standing tickets you can really get close to the stage and have a great time with the band literally a few meters away from you.
There's a bar inside as well which makes it really easy to get refreshments before or during the gig. The atmosphere is brilliant.
Only downside might be the length of the cloakroom queue after the event ends, but that's somewhat inevitable. If you can, I recommend you come with very few belongings and keep them on you during the event. The venue is really spacious and doesn't get very warm!
I've had such a great time there both times and I will definitely be coming back!

Small venue that hosts mainly music gigs. My first visit and it is an interesting building that has connections to the Railway.
It was a Heaven 17 gig and was very busy but got in and out easily and the bar queues were ok. No problem getting a decent view standing on the floor of the venue.

What a gem of a place. Beautiful theatre, lovely features. Staff great and helpf too.
Went to see Kingdom Choir in January, they were 'off the chain' the acoustic was fantastic, lighting 'spot on'😀. Intimate threatre where you really felt like part of the set.

An outstanding venue with lots of history.
Good customer service, reasonably priced drinks.
If you have the opportunity to go. Go!
This is a MUST venue.
There is also off road parking less than a 15min walk away.
J. A.
Went to see Pale Waves, facilities were excellent. Drink prices are a little steep but no more than Alexandra Palace. Would definitely return.
P. L. S.
Beautiful venue, great vibe, friendly staff (mostly). If going for music, don't get too close to the front, speakers are positioned in a way that you'll hear the music better from further back.
B. L.
We went here to see Cavetown and it was an absolutely wonderful venue! The staff were very friendly and helped us when our tickets failed to arrive. It was a wonderful experience!
T. G.
Amazing venue, sound is great, staff was really helpful … Great place to see a show, looking forward to the next!
M. G.
Great location, a very impressive interior, and some of the nicest staff I've seen at a show. Sound depends — it was definitely much better down in the "pit" than up on the balcony. Glad that gigs are back — especially in venues like these!
S. H.
This is a fantastic music venue in London. Not only is the building a beautiful work of art but the accomodation of people within it; the chance to be able to sit down on the upper tier, the hospitality available throughout the venue, makes it's a worth while place to visit if given the chance. Seats were really comfortable!
D. S.
Amazing Event space. Really atmospheric and has a comfortable feel about it. and the acoustics were great. Would recommend a visit. I would go back again.

The long awaited and postponed Jarv'is gig was great as was the venue, both online and on the day. One of London's best live music venues with that up close and personal feeling with the act.

Frivolus share!
Mind Blowing Jarv is Roundhouse London 9th November 2021
Feedback/Comment always welcome.
Third time experience of Jarv Is all thanks to BBC Radio 6 way back in 2010 Jarvis Cocker Sunday Service that I fell in love with everything about Jarvis.
Hyde Park concert in 2011 and mind blowing that my dear friend who did not come into my life until 2019 Jacqui Schmidzu was also at this concert followed by some years later a gig at the Barbican.
Postponed twice since May 2020 this was an experience of pure joy.
I applaud The Roundhouse on every level for being a champion of Live Music, when this building was originally created as a huge turntable for steam locomotives little did the architect realize that one day it would be transformed into one of the most iconic unique performance venues in the world.
Jarvis shared that every venue on his current tour had a previous use and wonderful that they have been given a new lease of shared life.
Lovely respectful crowd and no sudden rush and crush to the stage when the main event started.
I resisted going mental with my trusty Panasonic DMC series camera, yes a real camera and no doubt the only concert goer that took any photos.
There was a welcome lack of filming on mobile phones which no doubt will never be shared.
Well I am very much about sharing so I hope you enjoy this 'album.'
Back to Jarvis the antidotes you share between your songs are so wonderful, you are so genuine original and inspiring.

Classic music venue. First visit and absolutely loved the place.

The Roundhouse is an awesome grade 2 listed building situated in the heart of Camden Town.
The staff there are really friendly and helpful and the venue is a good size, with a nice sound system, you are also allowed to take children to some gigs so it was great for me to be able to take my 14 year old son to see Cradle of Filth.
The Roundhouse also supports young people who have been excluded, and hosts various arts and media projects within the community.
L. N.
Great gig, well organised.
Baggage area (chargeable, but not too expensive - about £2/3 per item).
Several toilets so no great queues in the breaks. And a couple of bars
A. G.
Good clean venue. Good range of music. Went 3 weekends in a row. Good location for Camden Market for pre concert eats. Not the best for Sunday gigs depending on your travel connections - had to leave New Model Army early to make sure I could get home.
L. C.
One of the best venues for live music in London. Saw Laura Marling and Rival Sons there, both were amazing.
R. S.
Amazing venue filled with history with really good sound from where I was sitting. Unfortunately there was a pillar right in the way of the lead singer for the entire show!
A. M.
Beautiful venue, OK sound BUT... There's no slope for the standing crowd so if you're not at least 6 foot tall you can't see anything unless you are in the front row.
c.
Venue was great, they didn't have the sound quite right to start with, base was too much and became distorted. Was sorted out after a short while so had the pleasure of listening to Ben Bohmer for nearly two hours!
T. H.
One of the most beautiful venues ever and a superb ethos
M. E.
Great venue for a gig, a genuinely beautiful historic building with incredible acoustics. Good division between balcony and ground floor in terms of atmosphere while still creating a great community spirit for live music. Not enough bars, or staff at them, and the drinks cost an arm and a leg, and don't taste great, but if there's a venue in or around London where any of that isn't the case, I'm yet to find it.
P.
Great venue. Been here for gigs, galas, shows… just an amazing space.
C. W.
First time I've been here. Gorgeous venue, probably one of the nicest I've been to. Good access and views, we really enjoyed it. New Model Army were fantastic as always.
k.
This is a brilliant place to visit for a concert. The people are very helpful and everything easy to get to.
A. G.
Such a great venue. I have been here for concerts before but that’s the first time I go for some clubbing, and it works very well in that way too. I really like all the building and of course the main room it’s quite beautiful. A venue where I always head with pleasure
p. h.
Excellent venue. Good sound and views. Bar offering not great is the only real downside. Looking forward to my next gig there in March
C. S.
The place is bigger than expected and the layout is super interesting as it makes it very easy for everyone to see the main stage. The drinks at the bar are so so and the music is VERY loud! At least for the concert I attended yesterday.... I was able to get earplugs for free from the merchandise stand.
G. J.
Remember 9/22/15..? HS, LP, LT and NH..??Ring a bell..? Took my niece in her "Little Black Dress" at "18". Ton of "Night Changes" at this show...😉🇬🇧🎤
A. C.
Great venue as long as you don't get a pillar in front if you!! Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit.
J. H.
My first proper night out since COVID began. And, boy, did I need it.
Kerri Chandler played a superb set using reel-to-reel tape machines backed up by impressive holographic effects behind him.
Above all, what a fantastic venue. My first time here and even the walk through Camden markets to get there was an experience of its own.
The venue has excellent cloak room facilities and WC.
Good selection of lager, beer and ale for a venue like this.
I live a long way from London but I'd forgotten what a great city this is for clubs and nightlife and I think last night has got me back in the mood for more hard core clubbing.
My thanks to the lads I met in a nearby restaurant and Amy and Lee for being great ravers to dance with.
J. T.
Always a nice event coming to a gig here. The house wine is pretty decent too.
H. L.
Good venue overall with great bands always booked in on the calendar. The outer sections of the balcony are atrocious for sound quality, for the cost of going to a gig, best to stay central if you would like to be seated and hear the band!
C. B.
A great venue. I've seen many great bands here but New Model Army always deliver. So many memories brought back by tonight's show.
N. V.
A great evening in a wonderful setting. Would love to see a proper concert there .
V. S.
Another gem of a venue for live music, along with show casing local talent, was there for Echo and the bunnymen covid protocol was continuity being carried out across the venue door staff bar staff all very polite.
F. A.
Spacious venue with multiple levels. Bar staff and security were on job. And the sound acoustics were spot on for the performance.
Oh, and the area is full of resources on the doorstep (pubs, Sainsbury, 2 train stations, many restaurants)
Would go again happily.
K. S.
I adore this venue. I’ve been here for gigs and nights out and it’s brilliant. If you get to see a band here you know it will be a good night. You’re guaranteed an intimate experience. The bars could be a little better stocked and staffed , especially on sink the pink where it was 5 deep to get to the bar!
Would love to come back here again to see more gigs and performances.
P. P.
Very close to where we were staying for the night. Quirky little place in terms of decor. Great staff. Did not eat there, but noticed that a lot of the seating was reserved for later in the evening, which is usually a good sign.
A. P.
Alan Davies and friends were very funny and a great time all round warm up comic amazing to👏👏🤣, but hats off go to the staff n crew, who were friendly and polite, kept us all safe and no drama!1st proper Great day out in months magnified by you all! appreciated all of the efforts!
I. T.
Amazing main hall space... 2st time here, but would definitely keep my eye out for others events...
N. H.
Good venue. Quite dark but that goes with the territory of course. Beer is good, reasonably typical London prices. Excellent staff and security
N. K.
Such a great venue! It has its own history, it is actually written on the walls, so take some time before the performance to get acquainted if you wish to.
There’s place to have drinks before, during and after the show.
When choosing a sit, remember that there are columns, so upper stalls could be tricky. Also, the sounds and music most likely will be loud, so be prepared.
I visited Roundhouse for Club Swizzle show, it appears this venue is very suitable for this kind of events.
P. W. D.
We arrived at the roundhouse early to collect our tickets, the line to go in was really long but a good atmosphere although the heavens opened and we were soaked!!
The venue is perfect for an intimate gig and the floor space is circular and great views of the stage from any position. There is a 1st floor seated area too.
The bars are really nice and no waiting time really.
I saw Mike Shinoda and he sounded amazing, the bass was awesome.
I really like this venue & recommend going to see artists play there.
The support act La Fontaine's were a great band too.
M. B.
Brilliant iconic venue. Modernised but the actual stage and arena area still its original structure, superb. Saw the fantastic Specials and our view was excellent. Friendly staff, great evening!
C. J.
At first glance lookslike a great community space for locals.
But evening venue was scary, they didn't have trained staff to deal with it.
Only one exit open so we were funnelled down one area scary for a disabled person. Also post pandemic even more so.
My seat back was actually broken off my hand ✋ upstairs.
The band the Specials were great even though singer was poorly.
Staff need to learn about the Equality Act 2010.
J. H.
Historic Music venue near Chalk Farm tube station. Great medium sized venue - if you get there early enough to be on or near the barrier, then it’s a great venue - but the flat floor and relatively low stage can make it hard to see from further back
J. W.
Great venue, only downside is how long it takes to get your stuff from the cloakroom. Staff great though!
J. B.
Great venue for live music, probably my favourite in London. They get some great bands in and the space itself is amazing, perfect for mid-size gigs and conveniently located a couple of minutes from Chalk Farm tube.
The only real downside is that the main stage is on the first floor and there's only one staircase and a lift, so there's a bit of a queue to get out at the end of the night.
J. P.
Amy Macdonald concert was absolutely awesome. Brilliant singer with excellent stage presence and great rapport with the audience. Go see this lass she's brilliant!!!
J. J.
Great venue. Only downside was the amount of empty plastic glasses on the stairs made getting down them quite an event. Would definitely go again.
R. P.
Fantastic venue. One of the best theatres to watch a band. The construction of the place lends to the accessibility of the bands. You have a good vew all round the standing area (not been in the peanut gallery yet). They serve real ale on tap & access via lifts for disabled persons & lazy people is provided..The toilets are clean & a fair few of them. An outside area is provided for smoker & is rather pleasant in the summer. This has become my favourite gig venue. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have
B. S.
Nice Place for concerts. Very interesting surroundings. It´s nearby Camden Market, an absolute highlight of London. Very good connection to the public traffic network. If you like walking you can reach the underground station Euston Square or King's Cross in about 30-40 minutes.
If you want to be close to the artist, you can stand in front of the stage. Those who like it more comfortable can book a seat on top of the grandstand. The hall reflects the name or vice versa, meaning that the room is round.
You should arrive very early, otherwise you might have to stand outside in the rain and wait for the opening. This can be unpleasant.
T. B.
Compact venue for music. The layout makes you feel close from all points. Not too loud. Small bar and cloakroom leads to queues.
F. S.
Great access to the stage, you can get really close, quite steep prices for a pint unfortunately. also very clean floor. After I left the floor wa covered in liquid, but when I entered the floor was not sticky at all. overall great place to see a band
R. B.
Great venue with a good view from all sides. EoDM were excellent. Nice to see they were checking vaccine status 👍
M. P.
Last night was a bit special. My 2nd Heilung event and a definite improvement on the first one (which was good, but they're getting better). The soundstage seemed of better quality than the Islington Assembly Hall venue used last year. The warriors, Maria and especially Kai were a lot more aware of the audience and seemed to want to "bring us in" more. The Warriors had more to do and there was more choreography used.
Songs were a mix of the last two albums. You can't go wrong with Krigsgaldr or Hamrer Hyppyer (which is made extra special by the invasion of the audience by the warriors) but the first single from the new album, Norupo, was spectacular - the addition of the female chorus an added bonus.
I really need to learn the words...
What a night.
D. P.
It's beautiful. Yes. That is all. Perfect music venue.
T. S.
Seen some wonderful shows here such as Scissor Sisters, Killing Joke, Neneh Cherry, Erasure, Sisters Of Mercy, Paul Weller, The Damned, Gary Numan, Suede etc. each time was an event that i can almost describe as "sacred". there is an atmosphere this venue has that really is unique and compliments most of the acts I've seen. despite the drink prices being mixed, its a wonderful venue with a rich history and wonderful hospitality. the smoking area has plenty of space which is fitting during this period with Covid. I would suggest perhaps attempting to place more seating upstairs as there's a fair amount but I reckon there is still room to fit more people. aside from that, i fully intend to go again
A. S.
Ah-Mazing! I have experienced one of the best concerts of my life at the Roundhouse, not only due to the band being wonderful and proving great new wave retro vibes but also a great venue! Central, easy to find location, just next to the Camden market, if you arrive early simply have a stroll around the weird little shops!
I recommend getting to thw venue early to avoid the crowds - we arrived about 1h before the doors were supposed to open, left our coats and bags in the coatroom (paid! We paid for this almost the same as for one ticket!), got our tickets checked and chilled in the bar area for until we could go to the stage upstairs. No queues, no standing in the cold outside (November!), no problems with little available space in the coatroom.
The stage area itself is very atmospheric, creating a unique experience- see photos. No problems with safety althoughi eould recommend checking your pockets every so often and maybe even leave you phone inthe coatroom if worried (this is free of charge!). The sound travelled great, and because we arrive early we were able to be really close to the scene - truly unforgettable experience!
After the show there was a little bit of a queue to retrieve our coats and bags - about 30mins.
I will definitely be coming again!
S. G.
Love this venue, its unique, very atmospheric with good viewing points all round the stage. There are plenty of bars ,normal prices for drinks, the only downside is getting out ,you all have to go down the only stairs ,can be quite acrush.
R. J.
Amazing venue for gigs. The ceiling, the space, the sound makes for a goosebumps experience. Coat-check queues can be crazy. There's smoking areas upstairs. You can't enter the bar if you don't have tickets. Recommend to have your tickets at home without having to queue for collection.
M. Z.
Always a good place for a concert. The sound is always good and the layout is very good. Can't comment on the bar as I always seem to be be the nominated driver!
C. W.
An amazing venue! Intimate but allows a sizeable crowd meaning you feel close to the acts yet still have a strong and lively atmosphere. I would love to go here every weekend!
M. S.
1st night out in 2yrs! Minor problems with sound during gig but that didn't stop me from having an amazing evening! Lovely place, really nice interior. I suggest experiencing ASAP!
O. A.
Great venue, the cool looking spherical ceiling thing looks like it does something fancy with the acoustics in the room. The bar was reasonably priced and the toilets very clean. Lost 1 star as the cloakroom took an age to queue up to both deposit and pick up our stuff.
C. O. N.
The Roundhouse is a fantastic venue, the only reason for dropping a star is for the poor beer selection.
A. L.
The Roundhouse is one of the best venues to see bands. Rival Sons were brill, the hall has a great atmosphere it's not too big. Pity they don't serve decent beer.
R. S.
Fantastic venue, always a pleasure to visit. Both seated and standing it's always high quality sound!
L. O.
Beautiful concert venue in Camden. Sound system is good. View of the stage is slightly blocked by a dozen narrow pillars from some parts of the venue; (unreserved) standing provides for the best view of the stage, as the higher level seats often look onto the pillars (though even then you will still see most of the stage). Entry queues can be very long, but leaving the venue goes pretty fast. Chalk Farm tube (Northern Line) is right next doors.
E. S.
Nice venue, clean. Wasnt aware that standing second level would be so far back but had a really fun night. 2 out of the 4 women's toliets upstairs werent working, which made a bit of a queue
G. E.
Beautiful venue, great music, bar serves a good range of drinks and crisps. Felt covid safe. I will be back!
A. M. A.
This is, without a doubt, one of my favourite venues in London.
If you go to a gig, you'll find yourself in a very unique setup, with a very peculiar arquitecture that makes concerts quite something special. The acoustics are usually top notch, and if you get a sit in the circles upstairs you'll really have it all!
In addition to that, it's one of the venues with the best organisation on the way in and quite good one on the way out. Very conveniently located and easy to reach from a number of stations.
The staff are very nice and helpful, no matter how many of us are about asking for the same question time and again!
The facilities are well taken care of and quite new. No massive queues either, usually, which is very nice indeed. Oh! And don't miss Camden beach on the rooftop during the summer months ;)
A. P.
I went to see Skindred with my friends. The venue was clean and easy to navigate. There were big queues for the bars and cloakroom, I'm sure it has to do with the post-covid & brexit staff shortage, the staff was helpful and lovely.
J. P.
Amazing industrial venue to hear live music. Get there early to avoid big queues at the bar. The building interior is breathtaking, and works really well with light shows & projections.
S. F.
Saw Amy Macdonald at the Round House. Nice small venue.
A.
Great place to see bands. I saw the band Six60 and Mitch James there and they were phenomenal.
V. G.
AMAZING ! I have no other words ! The staff is so friendly and this venue is beautiful. What a great experience ! The “chairs” are so comfy you don’t even want to go when it’s time to leave. I highly recommend this place. I went to watch The Greatest Showman and the sing along parts were just the best, it made the experience even better. I will definitely come back !
c. l.
Really nice venue👍🏽.
Staff super kind⭐.
I hope they recycling all the plastics Cup left at the end on the dance floor🧋.
Shame that people don't have the courtesy to put the in the bin 🤷
A. I. (. U.
This was the first time I had visited this venue and i wasn't disappointed. We went to see Mike Shinoda's first solo tour. The layout is easy to navigate and we were so close to the stage even when standing in the middle of the floored area. I would be keen to visit more acts here in the future as it was a great night. There is also lots of bars surrounding the venue as being in Camden you are never to far away from food and drink establishments, which is great to head to before the doors open at the roundhouse.
A. C.
Really well organised re covid passes, modern space, friendly staff, fab evening!
n. m.
Attended Music 4 Mental Health. One of our party was nervous about visiting. So she e mailed in advance to explain her issues. The Roundhouse were FANTASTIC. Responded quickly and offered to support by arranging for a staff member to meet us and escorting us into the venue.
Thank you Roundhouse....you are wonderful.
Oh...great venue superb concert.
A. C.
Noce athmosphere on L.P. comcert . We came from Romania for LP at RoindHouse and Eric Clapton at Royal Albert Hall. Kinde personel, good atmosphere at the bar. Sound was set for rock music . Not my style. It can not be compared with Royal Albert acustic.
O. F.
I always enjoy a gig at the Roundhouse. My one rather big critique is that the sound for the past few gigs I've attended has been subpar – not loud enough, to the extent other guests having a conversation can disrupt the experience. The mix is also very muddy.
Matt Maltese and The Lemon Twigs were both incredible, as always!!
N. R.
Great venue for a gig. The situation with the bar and getting a drink was ridiculous. Only had 2 drinks the whole night as the queues were too long a wait. (40mins)
A. R.
Incredible amazing and awesome spot to see a live concert. This time I saw Apparat live in the Roundhouse and I must say it was an incredible experience. Everything for the show was well sorted. Even I have to say that was cleaned and very good tasted on the decoration. It is so beautiful. And the most important thing is the Apparat show and it was very good listened.
I checked the list of artist coming and it was amazing. Congratulations for the direction of the Roundhouse.
A. L.
First time going and saw The Midnight, it was epic!!! Great size venue, highlights they played Shadows and Vampire 👌👍😢😁😁. Will be going again.
R. T.
Great hall! Great concert venue. I love the atmosphere of this hall.
T. F.
Wonderful night with the Cinematic Orchestra ! The staff is amazing and professional and the venue is simply amazing. Unique atmosphere and architecture. Definetly a must if your favorite band is playing there!
K. B.
Great gig by Heilung, however being a round venue it meant the speakers were placed so that anyone in the sides couldn't see. Didn't have the same experience in the Motorpoint arena Cardiff, another similar venue.
Staff were ok, a bit rude but I suppose to be expected for corralling five thousand drunk metalheads.
If the stage had been perhaps a foot higher it would have meant vertically challenged people would have had a better experience.
A. O.
Absolutely have a blast of a time watching and having the Barber Shop experience last time. I'm really glad I went this time to watch the play. Missed it like 2 years ago when it was recommended to me. The issues raised during the show are quite intense and barber shop really is a safe haven where everything and all things can be said. Really had fun
A. R.
Saw barenaked ladies here. It was a busy venue but was good. I've seen other acts here. My favourite was stomp a few years back. For the barenaked ladies concert they had seating up on the balcony and the lower area was standing only. There were bars at the back
J. L.
A beautiful historical place to see incredible shows !! The sound here is so nice !
L. E.
Such a great venue we went there to see Amber run and had a fantastic night apart from some very drunk people (maybe something the venue could help with?) The bar at the entrance is lovely lots of drinks to choose from at good london prices. It’s very close to the station just a short walk. Perfect venue for a gig or show, would go again.
W. A.
One of the best live venues I have ever visited. An amazing place. The acoustics are out of this world.
C. S.
A great place for live music. Easy to reach with the underground, comfortable, excellent acoustics.
Q. L.
A very friendly venue. Staff are lovely. Music is great. I often visit the roundhouse. Camden is a favourite.
R. J.
Great venue. Great group live (Black Pumas) Good beer.really enjoyed.well organised !
M.
Saw Skindred 2/10/2021, being the first gig I've attended since Jan 2020! So obviously was amazing, I love this venue, so small and intimate :)
M. S.
What a great venue. Came here to see the waterboys, intimate and great acoustics. We'll organised and friendly staff
T. A.
I've been to round house two times now in the last 6 months or so, I love it! First time we was in the crowd and the second time in the seating. Security is great and make you feel safe and the venue itself is just amazing. Even if you stand all the way at the back you can clearly see the stage. Love it.
I. T.
Great venue easy entry and exit with friendlystaff, I thought the sound quality on the night wasn't as good as other venues. Fix that to get the last 🌟
P. R.
Great venue for live music. Good views if you know where to stand and a much friendlier crowd than a lot of other venues I could mention.
C. L. O.
A beautiful setting for any event. As the name suggests is round. Great fprmlive concerts as the sound is all around and the view is good from any point. It was Covid-19 safe taking temperature, staggering people coming in and one way system are all in place. Staff is very welcoming. You can order drinks to your table by scanning the QR code and pay all on the website. Completely contactless. Wearing masks are mandatory when and in around the place, unless you are drinking at your table seated. Highly recommended
I. P.
A fantastic venue, brilliant staff very friendly and superbly helpful.
Great atmosphere and sound
B. M.
Great venue standing or seated. Sound is great wherever you are too. Insane drinks prices and not enough choice, but that's venues for you. Shame the floor isn't slightly sloped - a bit difficult for us short folk to see everything!
G. K.
Great venue with amazing acoustics! I was here to see a few concerts and I really did enjoy. Good stuff, that they have a smoking area, plenty of toilets, the prices are reasonable (5-6.50£ for a pint), they have craft ales as well. The staff was very kind and helpful. I can recommend this venue for everyone!
A. S.
A really great venue! The venue itself is amazing because is used to be used for turning steam trains around, 70 years ago. My dad used to go into it as a kid to check out the trains. The architecture is great and watching events in the round is really cool! There are several bars and you can also eat. The atmosphere there is always really vibrant and exciting.
R. K.
Watched Oneohtrix Point Never perform here. Quick and easy entry, prompt stage times, decent beer, amazing sound. Couldn't have asked for more from a venue. Loved it.
B. M.
Happy Mondays 31 October 2019 - love The Roundhouse, great venue. The gig was fantastic, chaotic but they played all the hits and they were brilliant!
A.
We watched Bohemian Rhapsody here the other day. The setup of the venue was a lot of fun with the bean bags, sand and beach bar feel. The rain started pouring just before the show, but luckily the venue does have a tent-like cover.
I had two minor dislikes: the rain was splattering at me as it was pouring down the sides of the tent, and also the loos were a bit far back inside the building. So if you don’t to miss any of the film but you had some drinks, you really have to run for it if you want to get back quickly.
G. F.
I love this venue, so versatile and with good facilities. Saw club swizzle last night with my wife, fab experience even though we were only in the ten quid cheap seats. Good bars, great outdoor area and in the middle of Camden. What more do you want from a venue? :)
J.
Great place to hear Steel Panther on Sunday 10th feb. Sold out great night the tubes where great quick clean got us there and back so was quick to get back to our car and drive home.
S. K.
I liked this venue. The sound was set up well, so it was easy to enjoy the concert. I needed to be seated, and the seats give a beautiful view of the venue, though the columns can be irritating as there will be one between you and part of the stage. The columns are slim, so usually leaning will let you see around them if a performer happens to hide directly behind one.
There are several bars. If it's a break in the performance and the staff suggest you get out of your queue and go to a different bar, it's worth doing what they say as some bars are much busier than others.
A. B.
Excellent venue, lots of atmosphere. Great views all round and really friendly, helpful staff.
N. W.
Great concert venue amazing roof depends of course what you are seeing but good bars and facilities
J. V.
One of the best music venues in London. Acoustics are great and a good offering of drinks.
j. e.
Fantastic venue. An old steam engine shed now a venue for events. Picture is during Jarv-is performance.
K. W.
Lovely venue and easy to get to via the underground. Great shows/performances. Expensive drinks though.
Pillars affect some viewing but doesn't ruin experience
E. F.
Characterful venue that makes a really special atmosphere for a show. Easy to find and security checks were quick to pass through. Sound could have been better but the lighting was exceptional.
The bar was crazy expensive though, unless it was an accident; over twenty quid for a rum and ginger and a pint in plastic cups plus a packet of crisps?!
m. s.
Friendly and helpful staff. Great booze prices all things considered and a pretty good venue to a band in too!
D. D.
Amazing venue for life music, an absolute must visit place. Go to the 1st floor and see all the posters/art of the famous bands, acts and historic figures who have graced this original venue. Also in the summer they sometimes turn the roof into "Camden beach"...
N. A.
Visited twice for gigs by ‘White denim’ and ‘Dinosaur Jnr’.
Good acoustics, decent size without being too big. I found the staff pleasant and attentive. Didn’t have to wait that long to get served at the bar or the cloakroom. I like it, good venue.
A. H.
Pretty concert hall. Good amenities. Well organised. Sound was excellent.
d. c.
Always wanted to go here - and then we did - what a great place - imagine Pink Floyd as the house band!
d. t.
Fantastic venue and staff. Always a great sound.
A. G.
The audio acoustics were much better at the shepherd's Bush empire, but the venue itself is miles ahead. Loved the bar and the toilets are quite clean. Good vibes and no thieves.
H. M.
What a great venue. Atmosphere and sound is great, with good views of stage all round. The raised seating gives a good view but I’ll take standing any day. Fantastic performance by Dido, first time back in London for 15 years. I’ll definitely be back for more at The Roundhouse.
B. K.
Had a good time at the Roundhouse attending screening of LA Nights Singalong Dirty Dancing movie in a large outdoor gazebo with sand on the floor and comfy beanbags to sit on. A nice atmosphere with great bright screen to watch the movie on. Drinks and snack bar available. All in all a great venue.
M. M.
This is one of the iconic music venues in London for a reason. When you do come for a gig here there is a conveniently located cloak room and plenty of toilets and bars.
S. A. S.
Great place to go to gigs! Clean and helpful staff
G.
Beautiful historic venue. Lots of space and awesome sound system.
A. S. T.
Incredible venue. I been there twice and both time I've seen incredible shows! Will definitely recommend it!
K. H.
Awesome music venue!
Staff were very friendly, polite and professional.
T. P.
Characterful, intimate venue with good travel links. Points deducted for how long it took us to get out (flipping ages!).
K. N.
Fantastic venue for gigs and concerts. So good to be back after Covid. Staff very professional.
T. T.
Big space and doesn't lose anything wherever you choose to stand. Would always go back. Easy access to every amenity, so easy to get around.
I. r. Y. w.
Visited on Sun 24 March as my daughter was there to see Dodie.
The venue and staff were superb - really helpful and seemed genuinely friendly. The bar was easy to get to and prices as expected. We had seated tickets.
My only gripe would be the door opened at 1900 and the first supporting act was 1915. The queue to get in was so vast and moved so slow we didn't get in until 2000. Maybe that's normal but it was a shame.
Showsec security were there usual quality. The chap the searched me with a metal detector took all of 10 seconds and he managed to search my whole bag in about 5. Don't bother doing it if you don't do it properly. It's pointless!
L. “. T.
Brilliant venue, Frank Turner and Skinny Lister was amazing, this was view from seat D37, obstructed a little
P. B.
The staff are a credit to the venue. The bar was not extortionate, and the venue has great sound and visual presence.
D. K.
Fantastic venue, great that one of the bars inside has a smoking shelter, decent size, not to big so that even if your at the back you can still get in the action
S. B.
Great venue for a gig, smack bang in Camden Town, a close enough walk to the markets & canal area which is a must if in the area. The venue is a lovely & historic building that's had a cool contemporary update. The bars inside sell at decent prices for London & the staff are efficient & polite, a credit to the venue. Can't wait until my next gig after restrictions end!
R. W.
One of my favourite music venues. Decent beer selection at the bar downstairs. The circular design of the venue means you are never too far from the stage. A truly unique venue.
F. Q.
Great gig venue, nice prices and good selection of artists.
The venue is round and that makes it particularly nice, also for th acoustic
J. O.
Clean and new. Non sticky floors. Round venue it was a better to stand and move closer to the stage. Great lighting and sound effects. Wasnt stuffy.
J. A.
First time at the Roundhouse, for Kreator, what a great venue, brilliant sound and not riff off bar prices. Staff or on point, even cleaning up the venue while people are there!
B. T.
A great venue with excellent sound quality! Always way too hot, but that's part of the fun! Plus it's great that they are now serving water from tins and not plastic bottles.
D. L.
Huge and great events venue. Nice gallery and a big ground floor that host plenty of music shows as well other art performance, definelty catch a show here if you like the performance
t. t.
Great venue to watch the world's greatest band New Model Army.
N. S.
Great venue plenty of history going back to its original use as a Train turntable.
P. B.
Excellent venue and Billy Bragg was on top form if a little croaky
d.
A fantastic, historic London venue brought back from the dead. The history of this place with it's roll call of amazing artists that have, over the decades, played here is second to none. it's an absolute diamond.
The staff here are great, they are warm, welcoming and friendly right across the board from the greeters at the door, the security and the bar/cafe staff. They are all brilliant.
T. F.
What a great venue ..
Amazing atmosphere
Friendly welcoming staff and security
M. l.
Excellent venue.
We saw Steel Panther here, were impressed by the acoustics, reasonable drinks prices and good security at the door.
Easy to get to via the northern line, but be prepared to queue some distance towards Camden of arriving early!
B. O.
Great fun night in the iconic venue it was beautiful and incredibly intimate whist retaining its grandure
Z. B.
Just a Shame they gone cashless on the bars, could be tad quicker on the service at them too, though over all good 👍
M. A.
One of my favourite concert venues, always a great show!
V. C.
Went to see Hot 8 Brass Band there a few weeks ago and the venue is amazing! Really great night, easily accessible and helpful staff. Bar was a bit pricey but nothing you wouldn't expect from Camden. A really great venue!
D. F.
The venue is a good place the only downside for me is the floor . Would be better for seeing is stopped like brixton.
J.
Checked in here last night for the Jorge Drexler concert. Not the first time I've been, and absolutely not the last either. Was here for Mike Shinoda last year too.
Fantastic venue, lighting and audio production are always on point. Absolutely love the work they do with youths and their underground rehearsal studios. Great job Roundhouse!
A. V.
Nice location for events. We were there for the world 50 best bar award and we enjoyed the space and the organization
L. O.
Iconic venue - beautiful and a great space for live music. Had the most fun at the Frank Turner gif.
K. T.
A lovely venue - really unique inside. Surprisingly good bar prices too considering location
M. D.
This is more for the play rather than the venue: the barbershop chronicles was amazing. They utilised the roundhouse very well to ensure that everyone could see what was going on even with a slightly restricted view.
Highly recommended the play! 😊
S. H.
Fantastic venue. Small enough to feel intimate but big enough to house some great artists. Strong acoustics too.
M. B.
My first visit to the Roundhouse, I'd heard it was a good venue and that was correct. Slick check-in and ticket validation. Very intimate gig.
U. S.
Fantastic venue, perfect setting for the dance show we went to see (Until the Lions by Akram Khan). The only criticism I have is that it was extremely hot in the main room to the point that we felt a little light headed (I'm typically cold in venues)
Y. L.
Been to the roundhouse 3 times now and have always had a remarkable time. First time Was to see Annie Mac gig ft artists like wretch 32, mabel, stefflon don which was amazing, we had an emergency fire alarm which was dealt with quickly and smoothly as a result of good staff team. Second time was to see babe Zack Abel for a friends birthday loved it alsooo. Lastly was to go to an outdoor cinema - aka LA nights to watch pretty woman which was lovely also but prices for drinks etc were mad (as expected though)
S. H.
Saw the Specials, absolutely banging venue. Lovely staff just excellent- thank you all
A. _. a. _.
Came to see YMCA charity event.... Full of great guests... The sound quality was not as i would expect...felt as the singers were more of background to the music... Lovely atmosphere for a 4000 people.. Toilets available... Alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available to buy. No food but on the streets around plenty to choose from...
R.
Fantastic venue. Pictures dont do it justice but the view of the stage is great and I love the atmosphere.
J. G.
Brilliant. Brilliant food at the restaurant. Club Swizzle is a must. Do eeeeet! Staff are fantastic. What more can you ask for.
S. F. P.
I attended the Backyard Cinema with my mum at the Roundhouse. It was such an amazing experience and the staff were very helpful, I would recommend bringing a cardigan or jacket as it is outdoors
k. M.
Great venue, friendly staff and so many clubs and bars all around. Transport from Watford easy. Can’t wait to go back in December for Madness
J. E.
Loved Seeing Amy Macdonald Fir the 3rd Time 🤗🤗
S. s.
I Visited this venue for the first time and I was impressed by the organisation despite the number of people at the concert of Rodrigo y Gabriela.
There were enough air and never felt stifling thanks to the good air implant.
Also the 4 bars make the queue easier and faster.
3 STARS only due to the rudeness of the security person (1 man 1 woman at right of the stage) when I gently asked, after the concert, if possible to quickly congrat with the artists. There were very rude and aggressive. Furthermore sarcastic with me that only asked kindly a simple question.
These people clearly don't know much about art and artist but are more confident working in disco club or alcohol party as bouncer.
Very sad end of the day.
In fact when I went mortified to the left part of the stage, asking the same question, the 2 guys there simply explained that this was not possible and that only with a pass the access is permitted. Simply using politeness and explaining people things, treating them as person and not robots.
Will think about it, in case another event of an artist I like, better to go to theatre where likely find people who love and practice art and beauty
H. B.
Acoustics better suited to live music than speaker events, and the bar queue needs some serious work, but otherwise a fun and novel venue with friendly helpful staff
C. A.
Always a queue at the bar! Some good bands do come and play here though.
J. R.
Great for a gig. Very unique compared to other venues.
W. C.
Fairly large venue with good views everywhere for a tall man like me. The flat floor though means people of a shorter height may struggle. Sound tends to bounce around. Bar selection slightly substandard.
U.
Super ambience, staff and above average sound system. I was at an Anne Calvi concert, which is fantastic as a singer and guitarist. She literally takes you away.
v. l.
Fantastic venue for live music.
P. F.
Fabulous venue. Watched a Waterboys gig there. Absolutely brilliant
F. F.
One of the most amazing concert hall in London, the best in Camden!
K. R.
Wonderful venue, great accoustics, had a really good night seeing Nick Mason's solo band. We were lucky to be at the front of the stage too,
K. W.
We hired this amazing venue for our Christmas party 2019. A really beautiful space. Staff super friendly.
A. C.
Great venue for gigs but you do need to arrive at a decent time if you don't want to end up at the back with a view partially blocked by a pillar!
r. g.
More of a music venue than a business centre I'd say but hey. If you wanna do business there are worse places
D. E.
Cinematic Orchestra gig was good, the mix wasn't blowing me away, but staff was so friendly, great atmosphere
T. C.
Saw the Pixies - who were amazing. The venue was ace, too although three ticket checks seem a little too much on the way in. My wife even commented how good the sound was and the drinks prices weren't terminal for central London. If you arrive after 1830 there is heaps of on-street parking, which worked very well for us, to get home to the Isle of Wight afterwards
M. A.
Beautiful venue with great acoustics. Bar staff very friendly but it was difficult to get a drink right before the start of the show as the queue was too long.
p. f.
Great venue, only drawback is everyone trying to get down the stairs at the end of a show.
P. V. d. C. (. V.
Very Nice venue. First in this place for Nick Mason gig ;-)
C. G. J.
I saw Flying Lotus perform here and he was amazing!
The circular layout of the venue makes it a good place to enjoy what happening on stage.
L. L.
A good experience... a reminder of things past... Billy Bragg... tried his best and without a doubt won over the converted...
T. W.
My wife and I went to see the Barbershop Chronicles which was very entertaining; my only negative would be that the seats aren't particularly comfortable and could do with some padding/replacing - I wouldn't have wanted to have sat in them much longer than the 90 minutes, that's for sure.
S. H.
Great venue, top bar staff and excellent transport links
T. F.
Friendly staff. Was there for a gig and was allowed to wonder in and out during the day. Reasonably priced drinks. Warm and clean.
C. K.
Nice venue, cosy yet stylish. Drinks are what id consider pricey, about £5 a pint, but it is expected of a music venue especially in london so for what it is, its normal priced. Good sound, well managed ie quick entry and exit. Bar staff worked quick too, never waited for a drink. Even when the event is sold out, they dont just cram you in for the sake of selling tickets, there was plenty room around the outside still to move about or stand in your own space if you dont like the crowds
A. I.
Fantastic venue, ever since we lost The Astoria due to cross rail, The Round House has been an great venue to experience instead, I saw Sisters Of Mercy recently and the sound was superb, and the venues temperature was kept cool 😎 👌
M. D.
Fabulous venue 😀 Especially when the Pixies are playing 😁
1700 people apparently, seems a good size to me. And great sound, much better than most ex-train station venues!
L. B.
Good gig venue. When seeing the Dandy Warhols, being the first merch stand customer, staff gave me a band signed poster.
O. G.
Bloody great venue....bit pricey for drinks but it's london
B. '.
Lovely quirky theatre and the barbershop chronicles play was funny and heartwarming...a tard non-PC but I'm ok wv that. Melting pot pop up kitchen was sooo yum too.
b. l.
Would be a 5 star review if the cloakroom hadn't been so chaotic and slow
M. B.
A fantastic venue, great outdoor bar space, clean toilets and very friendly staff, loved it
A. V. G. F.
Not bad, only that if rains wile you wait you have no where to have cover and they will open the doors late
J. H.
Love love love seeing music here, friendly staff who have a chat when your queuing and the whole system of getting in and out and getting to the bar and toilets is all very well thought out, we saw kodaline here and it was fantastic, what an amazing evening we had here
N. H.
Saw Mike Shinoda here a few weeks back. Drinks were a bit pricey but what do you expect- standing isn’t too bad if you’re close to the front, genuinely a brilliant venue though and all staff were helpful and accommodating.
M. W.
Great Sound system. Best in London
Good Location
Great venue
S. “. S.
Excellent venue, well organised and run. Brilliant place for a gig
W. D.
I had heard many great things about the Roundhouse prior to coming here for the Soulection event recently. Although the event atmosphere could have prospered from having many more people inside, it was a quality night. It was not too hot like many events I have been to and also the cloakroom process was quick and smooth, no faff. Definitely will be happy to visit again.
M. M.
Great venue - good acoustics and atmosphere, clean washrooms, and they dealt well with the amount of people. They even had less generic beers on tap than most venues. Close to the tube too.
A. A.
Great venue. Went to see The Orb’s 30th anniversary.
P. H.
Great vibe easy to get to. Atmospheric space for gigs.
R. H.
Went to see Frank Turner and the venue did not disappoint. Good location in Camden x
C.
Great venue, easy to get to via public transport
l. e.
Awsome venue in North London with a tonne of pre and post gig options near by the RH. Standing room on base level was spacey enough to share a groove and sound system 🔊 was tight. Bar queue was pants, too l o n g. Great night.
J. B.
Went to see Skindred, the staff were very polite and made sure everyone was comfortable at the venue
M. B.
Honestly one of the best gigs I've ever been to. Everything was spot on.
The staff from the ticket desk, to the security, cloakroom and the bar staff. All courteous, fast and efficient. Your staff are a credit to your venue.
The main roundhouse is an amazing live performance arena, the stage is clearly visible from everywhere. Air conditioning is set to just the right level, even the floor isn't sticky.
The sound was truly one of the best I've ever heard at a gig in recent memory. Honestly awesome, I heard every note, every softly spoken lyric and at the same time every beat from the TWO drummers playing on stage who where absolutely smashing it. My compliments to the team.
The stage lighting was also awesome, really turned this gig into a performance i will remember for a long time.
Highly recommended.
Thank you for making our evening at the Fink thoroughly enjoyable.
N. G.
Great venue, sound could be better, but a quibble.
A. S.
For a venue this size it is immaculate and is tribute to the staff. I was at a sell out madness concert and couldn't fault the venue or the staff you should be proud of yourselves.
M. R.
Great venue, my fav in London. Ok drink prices too
O. J.
this was my first time at this venue - it was awesome. saw Amber Run.
such a nice sound. great lighting rig.
will be coming back soon.
S. B.
Great venue for music and getting close to your favourite artists.
C. N.
Silky smooth acoustics in a highly intimate venue with non of the pretentiousness. 10/10🤩🤩
S. A. c.
The best venue in Camden in my opinion
C.
Superb set up , great venue, staffed and organised so well. Smooth entry and exit to a sold out gig.
N. M.
The Roundhouse is just the best venue. Superb and not a bad view anywhere.
B. F.
Another amazing night at the best venue in North London. Apparat was fenomenal 🙌
J.
Great venue! The design and layout make it super easy to get a good view. However, getting a drink was an horrendous experience, taking almost 40mins and meaning a good portion of the show was missed. With only 2 people manning a huge bar that night, there is clearly room to sort this issue, plus by doing so they'd make more money from drink sales.
R. O.
Had a great night waterboys performing.
Venue great for live music.
L. O.
Quality venue, lots of space, easy to get to
P. J.
Really nice venue ...but takes a while to get out. .
C. E.
One of my favourite music venues in London. Generally have a good view wherever you are. Good size. Good acoustics. Nice staff.
C. E.
Even at the back you can still see what's going on because it's not too big. Lots of pubs nearby so you can wait out any cue for the concert.
B. D.
Fantastic venue, and always delightful staff!
A. C.
Atmospheric and unusual historic venue. Get there early for pole-free views if on the floor level. The modern facilities are only let down by an inadequate number of toilet facilities.
A. J.
Awesome seeing Skindred as normal! Even in the seats and they weren't overly packed out!
J.
Went to see Giggs perform at Charity event. Venue is huge. Show was amazing. Staff were great
I. B.
Great venue! Really well run, great sound and a brilliant atmosphere.
R. h.
Amazing and historic place, great place to hold small shows
T. M.
We watch Club Swezlee
It was fabulous
Recommend great experience is here only till 26 of August
C. B.
Epic venue... sounds system epic... Kerri Chandler was amazing
S. A. P.
Great venue for music gigs. Good sound all round. Smaller than most other places so easier to get close to the stage. You still get good view if you stand at the back. Some seats upstairs. Staff were friendly. Oh and the toilets are clean!
L. H.
Good venue for live bands. Bar service slow.
J. G.
Great architecture
Camden location is perfect
Great sound
Beer a bit expensive
H.
Such a beautiful venue as great for concerts!
M. M.
One of the best venues for shows and concerts! Exceptional sound quality and no matter where you are you can have a very good view from the stage! The bars are also strategic positioned so you better served. Clean toilets and the venue itself is very easily accessed by public tranport- just perfect
S. A.
Surprisingly spacious venue. Easy access to bars. Really good seating...able to watch band comfortably and good views even from circle. Very civilised and safe as a woman to enter and leave an entertainment venue. Looking forward to going to the next gig. Easy to get to from tube station.
M. D.
This is more for the play rather than the venue: the barbershop chronicles was amazing. They utilised the roundhouse very well to ensure that everyone could see what was going on even with a slightly restricted view.
Highly recommended the play! 😊
Y. B.
Great places to exhibit art. Very unique and in a really nice area for food afterwards
D. A.
Visited an In Flames concert here, everything was good, but at first you dont realise where to queue.
A. F.
Really great venue with good beer and decent vegan food
A. B.
Awesome venue for live music and lovely helpful staff
T. y.
Jarvis at the Roundhouse London. Brilliant gig
V. C.
Went to see Hot 8 Brass Band there a few weeks ago and the venue is amazing! Really great night, easily accessible and helpful staff. Bar was a bit pricey but nothing you wouldn't expect from Camden. A really great venue!
D. S.
First time visiting the Roundhouse to see Barbershop Chronicles. Excellent theatre and excellent play.
B. '.
Lovely quirky theatre and the barbershop chronicles play was funny and heartwarming...a tard non-PC but I'm ok wv that. Melting pot pop up kitchen was sooo yum too.
T. T.
A really nice venue. The sound system is the best around, better than most venues, you can hear and enjoy real musicians. There is no massive boom bass dominance. There is no seating or even a slight incline on the floor, so if your short it may be a challenge, but you'll really hear you're band live like they deserve.
D. L. M.
Very cool venue. Both standing and seated guests get great views of the stage, with the exception of the large pillars dotted throughout the standing area... Definitely causes an issue for those standing a bit further back. Sound is fantastic though and the staff are very efficient. Would definitely recommend it for live shows.
M. P.
Good place for concerts, rather small/medium in size. Two bars. Seats available.
I. C.
Great venue! Went for a fantastic gig and it was just beautiful and well organised👌
O. F.
Great Location but I was too young for The Doors 1968 ;'(
R. G.
It was a Perfume Genius gig.
The food menu could be much better.
T. T.
A great London venue really well managed with friendly staff
s. h.
Fantastic venue! Great staff
A. P.
Fantastic music venue with good facilities and accessibility very close to Camden with all its cool and quirky shops and food outlets
A. B.
Really cool venue, lots of space, the standing room is definitely built to be a theatre as well as a concert hall so it was a bit difficult as there were lots of tall people. but would definitely go back again and I really want to see a play there. I think if I went for a concert I'd try for seats next time.
J. S.
Great venue showcasing great acts. The view from the balcony was great, and the sound quality was excellent.
N. G.
Awesome venue, just watched Machine Head and it was hreat, staff were super nice and it wasn't insanely hot in there despite the 3000 people!
J. E.
Great venue sound amazing as always
A. B.
Awesome venue for live music and lovely helpful staff
P.
Unique venue. Good view
A. F.
Very good venue for an intimate musical evening. Bar prices were reasonable with plenty of places to eat nearby.
S. C.
Fantastic venue, helpful, freindly staff, PIXIES concert; Come on Pilgrim... It's Surfer Rosa was awesome!
S. W.
At The Specials concert, amaizing band, great venue.
l. a.
New Staff are much friendlier. Nice cup o teaf
B. M.
Fantastic circus performance by Lexicon. Well worth seeing, a brilliant venue. Last performance Saturday 18thJanuary...
S.
We watched a circus act at the Roundhouse which was very good. The Roundhouse itself is a historic building and, for this production, had seating wrapping around a circular stage. The cafe bar was busy but service was quick and prices were relatively cheap. The toilets were modern and well maintained. The staff, many of whom were volunteers, were friendly and helpful. It was our first visit to this venue and I'd recommend it.
M. M.
Beautiful venue, staff polite, good selection of drinks.
O. A.
Absolutely brilliant venue.
Came here to see a band perform and was blown away by how good the setup was - excellent acoustics and loads of little bars to reduce the wait for a drink. Big smoking area is also a plus.
J. T.
Great venue. There's a seating area up top and a spacious standing round hall (who would think!) downstairs. You're very close to the performers though the height of the other punters are a factor on your view.
There is a decent bar in the venue before you go in and there are quite a number of bars in the hall itself both upstairs and downstairs. There are toilets accessible from the hall as well. Seemed clean enough. There's a cloak room but it gets busy when everyone kicks out.
I didn't get sent my tickets and picked them up from the venue with no problems at all though I was there early and there were no queues - not that others seemed to have an issue. There was plenty of security in attendance so allow a bit of time for that.
There's a lot of transport nearby so no problems getting here. Many pubs nearby for a pre or post event drink.
Enjoyed it though obviously the event you're attending is the main thing.
E.
I love this venue. It's my absolute favourite to see any band let alone the ones I'm a fan of. Staff always helpful and the place has a good atmosphere. My top choice s that it's best to leave plenty of time to wait at the end as getting out of the venue can take time
A. A.
The staff here were amazing! I went as a disabled concert viewer to see Aurora and they made sure every need of mine was met. They provided a suitable wheelchair, suitable help in and out of the theatre and a spot that had a perfect view of the stage. I was worried before going to the concert but ended up having a magical time watching the beauty that is Aurora instead of having to worry.
M. M. (.
Probably one of the nicest venues in London. Friendly and helpful staff on site, the main auditorium looks incredible and the acoustics are top notch.
D. D.
Sister Sledge great gig. Great venue. Bars were busy wait for the act to come on to get uour drinks
L.
One of the best music venues in London. The shape of the arena means you can get a decent view from almost anywhere. Toilets are decent and bars aren't usually too busy that it takes ages to get a drink. Security is very high - bag checks, detectors, and you have to keep your ticket on you to get in and out of the different seating/standing areas. There's a good sized, covered smoking area. Sound system for the bands has also never disappointed. Good pyrotechnics and lights to add more excitement to whatever you're going to see.
G. W.
Just for a drink but really good none the less
T.
Such a lovely venue. Spent an evening at a private party. It was quite glamorous, the dance floor was a decent size.
Staff were amazing, so friendly and professional.
The stage is quite big, I see how the Roundhouse hosts concerts.
I will definitely return should the opportunity present itself.
G. C.
Great venue. Love it
B. M.
Amazing night at St Paul and the Broken Bones concert. The roundhouse was the perfect venue for them!! Thank you for the most awesome night
N. J. S.
Fantastic place for any music event great facilities completely disabled friendly helpful staff and lots of them shame things were a little delayed n disorganised today but great Q&A session, and a little disappointed in the evenings entertainment if im honest but no reflection on the round house xx
G. M.
Good venue, friendly staff. Downstairs standing has lots of space with bars at the back. Never feels too crowded. Seats upstairs provide good views from the middle, but ones to the sides may have lighting rigs/speaker stacks causing some obstruction.
C. B.
Excellent, historic venue that regularly plays host to some of the biggest names out there. Roof bar is great for pre-gig drinks and the main performance space is extremely unusual. Very good size for concerts - big enough to get lots of people in, but small enough to still feel intimate. Def in my top 3
D. S.
Great little intimate music venue in Chalk Farm, near Camden.
J. H.
Great venue with friendly staff, clean toilets and plenty of bars. Amazing sound and lighting
I. D.
Awesome staff, great concert place!
P. M.
Amazing venue, great acoustics and all the staff there are very helpful and nice.
A. M.
A truly classic London venue. You have to pay attention where you're booking so your view isn't obscured by a pillar, though. Have seen bands, orchestras and circus here, all memorable. The staff are lovely.
D. N.
A really great intimate venue to see a band. Just the right size to have atmosphere but not be crushed. Nowhere is very far from the stage. Calm and laid back with a cool vibe. Getting to and from via public transport is a breeze.
L. B.
Gorgeous place with obvious history. For once drinks aren't crazy pricey either. About 5.50 for a pint which is good for London! We saw Fink and it was a super chilled show. All staff were nice and we had a great night.
J. P.
Awesome venue with great seating all around. We saw Club Swizzle and had a fantastic time. Prices for drinks were similar to pubs and not overpriced which was appreciated.
There were volunteers directing people to seats which is helpful. The washrooms we're good though few stalls which means you may have to wait for a bit.
Due to the shape of the venue there are great seats from all sides so don't stress about where you sit. The seats are tiered very well so even taller people in front of you shouldn't be much of an issue.
C. P.
First time I'd been to this venue. It's a good size, bigger than I expected it to be. We saw embrace, 90s indie band, the sound was excellent, lighting was excellent and the bar was reasonable. Toilets easy to get to. The only downer and this is more to the people who came to see embrace was rubbish. Cups all over the floor. Floor was soaked. All of this made exiting rather dangerous on the stairs. Would come again.
P. B.
Great for live music
D. L.
Excellent venue, great experience, helpful and friendly staff
B. j.
This place is absolutely incredible! Lovd the venue. I went to see one of my favourite band state champs and the atmosphere was just simply unforgettable. I really hope to come here again soon. Cloakroom is very quick to get your items back as well and all the staff were very friendly!
C. H.
Great venue & always a great night
R.
My favourite music venue in London. The acoustics are perfection.
D. G.
Great venue for live music. Acoustics were among the best I've experienced in over 30years of attending gigs. Usual prices for drinks at this kind of venue which always annoys me. My only criticism was that the venue main doors opened nearly an hour before we were allowed into the stage area and we were made to wait on a staircase inside for all that time, if there had been an evacuation it would have been chaos.
Y. B.
Great places to exhibit art. Very unique and in a really nice area for food afterwards
J.
Great venue, doesn't seem to get as many big acts as O2 venues but if a band you like is playing here, I highly recommend you go!
M. J.
Lovely venue with a great upper level with around 10 rows back and all the way around the back of the venue. For a small venue the sound was on top form would definitely go again. Beer prices not bad at all for a venue...£5.60 for a pint of san miguel which was fine...some venues charge almost £8 for a drink!!!
C. M.
Lovely venue, clean, friendly staff and many bars, good for live performances
J. L.
Never been before but what a great little venue. Loved that seating section not too steep so wherever your sitting you don’t feel too far from the performers. Will def keep an eye out for future gigs. Goes straight to the top of my favourite venue
R. L.
I've been before (to see the Libertines), and it's always impressive. However, even though I was seeing a band I love (Friendly Fires- amazing music and energy as always, Ed even ran around the entire Roundhouse crowd!) There were a few negatives. Cloakroom queue was about 30 minutes from start to finish, there definitely isn't enough toilets for a full house crowd, and the queues at the bar was pretty bad around the hall. Still, great night!
m. g.
Good venue though Don't expect to leave quickly
K. D. S.
Amazing venue! Loved it! Tori Kelly was wow! 👌🏼😁
E. Z.
Great intimate venue, great for feeling close to the music. Saw Friendly Fires here and it was amazing energy, especially when the singer came into the crowd.
Word of advice - travel light, dont take a bag or coat as the cloakroom queue at the end is an hour atleast.
No fault of the staff at all its just sheer volume of people that can pack in to the place, the queue is unmanageable is a decent time
E. C.
Took my partner, as a surprise, to a Van Gogh starry night workshop and it was absolutely fantastic. Thank you for a wonderful night of memories.
N.
Was a blast, can't wait to see more here!
A. B.
Wicked little venue. Small enough to have great sound and feel close to the stage even at the back, but big enough to not be cramped. Drinks are averagely priced, found it weird that you couldn't keep the bottle caps on purchased bottles of water due to safety which was a bit of a pain but not a huge deal.
Saw Billy Talent, great show in a great venue. Upstairs seating looked comfy and well situated too.
They even have a little bar and restaurant on site I believe, need to try that next time.
P. C.
Wonderful venue. Very intimate and the ana moura show was excellent
M. H.
The most iconic venue in London. Incredible atmosphere and one of the best experiences. As well as being one of the few remaining large independant music venues, it's also a charity that gives opportunities to thousands of disadvantaged young people each year, so it's definitely worth supporting.
S. B.
One of the best venues I have ever been to. The building is incredible and every seat or position gives you a great view of the artists on stage. Also very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend to anyone. My father is disabled and even though it is central London they have a private car park on site just for disabled people who can't use public transport. They really do cater for everyone and all staff at the roundhouse are extremely helpful. I simply cannot say enough good things about the place. Only downside is having to cope with London traffic! Oh and FYI they don't sell scotch at the bar, how weird is that!!
K. C. B.
I've never been to a venue quite like it. It's such an interesting building too. Lots of security measures. The bar downstairs was welcoming and got busy quite quickly before a show. They played great music in there though!
A. D.
It's worth getting a ticket for the standing area as its a nice space to grab a drink and mingle before the show, and then you are right in the midst of it throughout. Some really great bands playing here, would definitely come again!
F. M.
Great venue. No need to queue for drinks as plenty of bars with efficient staff. The best and cleanest toilets I've ever used! The only negative thing was that they could have opened more doors for people to exit through at the end of the gig.
B. B.
Amazing venue.
S. P.
An amazingly beautiful venue, just the right size with excellent facilities and is spotlessly clean and modern. Makes other London music venues look tired and old. Stage is visible from any location and there is a seated balcony if that's your choice.
P. J.
Went to see kodaline . Fantastic building and surrounding area of Camden town .
G. C.
Good venue with decent sound and nice security. Let down by lack of hand drying facilities (electronic broken and no paper towels). Also the bar service of some, but not all, bar members was really poor.
D. D.
Excellent theater with lots of incredible history and character. Went to see the barbershop chronicles which was not only an excellent production where the characters energy bounced off each other but the perfect play to be performed on the roundhouse circular stage. I would recommend upgrade tickets to at least a partial obstruction to ensure you can see the majority of the stage.
s. g.
Took my daughter to see Eden, an amazing place. Would of been better of doors were open earlier than 7pm as missed the 1st singer. Once doors were open the queues moved quickly but in my opinion just opened too late.
G. T.
What a great venue! The food options are limited and are packed prior to a music gig so probably wouldn't recommend coming here unless you have a table booked.
Had the best time and best seats here. Would love to go to another gig in the future here.
D. E.
Good venue. Good sound and lights. Clean, with plenty of staff on hand to check tickets but bars are under staffed and it can be 6 deep at the bar so it will take ages to get a drink.
m. d.
First time going to the venue and wow it's amazing.
I was in the seated area in the upper part of the venue and I would struggle to find a bad view from up there just brilliant.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Very easy to find in Camden so brilliant to make a full day of it along with whatever your watching at the roundhouse.
T. W.
My wife and I went to see the Barbershop Chronicles which was very entertaining; my only negative would be that the seats aren't particularly comfortable and could do with some padding/replacing - I wouldn't have wanted to have sat in them much longer than the 90 minutes, that's for sure.
L. C.
Great Gigs at this Venue & Camden market just a stone's throw away.
D. J.
Great acoustics for most artists!
C.
Superb set up , great venue, staffed and organised so well. Smooth entry and exit to a sold out gig.
B. M.
Fantastic circus performance by Lexicon. Well worth seeing, a brilliant venue. Last performance Saturday 18thJanuary...
U. S.
Fantastic venue, perfect setting for the dance show we went to see (Until the Lions by Akram Khan). The only criticism I have is that it was extremely hot in the main room to the point that we felt a little light headed (I'm typically cold in venues)
V. K.
Very good experience
J. F.
Interesting venue with intriguing history inside, loads of friendly people
A. I.
Fantastic venue, ever since we lost The Astoria due to cross rail, The Round House has been an great venue to experience instead, I saw Sisters Of Mercy recently and the sound was superb, and the venues temperature was kept cool 😎 👌
C. E.
One of my favourite music venues in London. Generally have a good view wherever you are. Good size. Good acoustics. Nice staff.
C. F.
Excellent venue for live music. The acoustics are amazing and the design of the venue are very pleasing to the eye. Only a stone's throw away from Camden market it is a very easy area to get to.
G. L.
Truly wonderful iconic London arts venue. Venue staff always welcoming and respectful unlike other concert halls where you are herded like cattle. Drinks not ridiculously overpriced and there are various bars. Outside rooftop smoking area.
S. G.
Fantastic venue. Saw the performance of American artist Janelle Monet. Great vibe...even with it's busy moments. Drinks were flowing at the bar. Always a great night out. London is blessed to have this iconic venue
O. V. (.
Cool looking venue. Amazing bar and restaurant.
The concert area is a bit tricky for shorter people as the arena has no slant. The floor is flat so if you end up at the end or behind a taller person.. You can't see anything. At the same time it doesn't feel overcrowded
A. M.
Lovely venue. Good views (if you're over 6 foot tall). Sound was not too bad. Bar approx £4.90 for lager. Staff good. Major queue to exit so hang around at end of you can.
J. J.
Great venue, saw Parcels here Dec 2018 if you have the chance to see any one here don’t hesitate.
E. S.
New Model Army 40th Anniversary gig. Was fantastic
M. M.
Great venue to see live music
F. M.
The Roundhouse is a beautiful and iconic building but for anyone going to a gig there who isn't 6 ft plus, I would strongly recommend getting seats upstairs, because otherwise you won't be able to see much unless you're right at the front - in which case you will need to arrive very early. This is particularly galling if, like me, you're old enough to remember it as a venue in the 70s, when the main space downstairs went up in low steps, making it much easier for more people to see. Whoever made the decision to have this vast space flat when they were renovating it was an idiot because most people, especially at the back, can't see well at standing events.
A.
Not the largest venue, which makes for a more intimate experience. Still can hold a few thousand at least. Standing is first level and seated is second level.
Acoustics are pretty good, possibly due to the shape of the building.
Multiple bars onsite, drinks are about what you would expect to pay for a captive audience.
Toilets were fairly clean and barely any queuing (at least for the men's toilets).
Venue is easy to get two. Practically a two minute walk from Chalk Farm Road underground.
L. B.
As always amazing venue, great atmosphere
V. H.
Great venue need more bar staff to get the queue down quickly
G. P.
Great little theatre! Went to see The Barbershop Chronicles, great show, and suited the roundhouse 360° stage perfectly! The bar next door has quick and easy service too, nice comfortable seats. Nice!
n.
A great venue. Has a great atmosphere. Have always been in the standing section. There are several bars. There is usually a cloakroom to check your bags and coats in to. It can take quite a long time to get out of this place as there only seems to be one set of doors out.
N. H.
Very cool venue - saw The Strokes here, supported by Hinds. Venue is easy to get to, within 5 mins walking distance of Chalk Farm station (Northern line), and there's plenty of places to grab something to eat/drink nearby. Staff was helpful and well-organised and overall it was a great experience. Would love to see another gig here.
C. K. B.
Totally fabulous venue. Great sound, great views of stage. Plenty of bars and staff very friendly and efficient. Been here a few times now and always look forward to going. Cate le Bon was the support act, I loved her even more than the band we were originally drawn to, Deerhunter.
X. W.
Amazing venue and arts centre. It's a recently refurbished building with antique roots, so everything is much higher quality and less... Sticky... Than other music venues. The sound quality is fantastic and the layout is very well thought out. I've seen a few bands here and some other stage shows and it really is a dream venue.
I had a 'fun' experience with security and management over my camera one night I was there, but I'm not going to let a couple of obnoxious uneducated staff that probably don't work there any more ruin a review of this landmark venue. Just make sure that if you go, take a camera with a small lens on the front to get around their laughable policy on camera sizes.
The bar staff were smiley and enthusiastic, and the beer was pretty good for a music venue (probably due to clean, new beer lines).
There's a very varied programme here, so even if there isn't a band you like playing, drop by one of the rising talent nights or another performance. You won't regret it.
T. S.
An excellent music venue, a Mecca for music
K. C.
The bars inside are awful. The venue inside is amazing.
R. W.
Fabulous building, worth going to that alone. Nice intimate venue however dropped one star for sound quality.
D. S.
Great venue, the queuing system is not great as you have to stand on the stairs. When leaving the whole auditorium have to leave down the stairs
U. K.
Went here for Mike Shinoda concert and it was amazing. The inside of the venue is cozy and beautiful, the acoustics were wonderful. Haven’t got a chance to use the cloak room but I’ve heard they have it. One negative was the doors opened like 15min late and we were soaked as it was raining but don’t know if it was because of the venue management or the organization of the show.
M. D.
Beautiful venue, breathtaking space with two bars inside the main venue space. Friendly and helpful staff.
I saw Purity Ring here in November 2015 and the lighting installation that formed an integral part of the show was mind blowing and really added to the show.
The sound system was good, must be a hard space for audio due to the shape of it, but it was decent sound still.
C. S.
Amazing venue, clean toilets, great atmosphere. But... Absolutely ridiculous queue to get in. Good job there is a Sainsbury's on the road to send some of our group for queue snacks/drinks. Which meant we didn't bother with the bar inside, so can't comment on that. If the gig wasn't so amazing last night I'd probably be more annoyed about the queue and give a lower rating, so they are saved by awesome Jeremy Loops!
T. C.
Great venue. I was obviously in the VIP bar. Goes without saying though doesn't it
A. O.
Went to see the Barbershop Chronicle there with some friends. Really cool venue, friendly staff, great play. Quick bar service, reasonable prices. Only downside was was the pop up pop up food stall. Expensive compared to the food stalls at Camden Market and not that nice. Filled a gap and thats about it😞
T. C.
The Roundhouse has a history of putting on some really great gigs. I've seen so many iconic bands play here, but unfortunately, the sound is always really bad. I thought perhaps it had something to do with the shape of the venue, but I've tried standing/ sitting in almost every place the now and is always the same.
A. G.
Beautiful venue, toilets we a bit dated and need to be modernised, and made more bigger and more accessible, incredibly warm as the crowd came pouring in more and more for Devin Townsend, all in all the staff were brilliant looking after my pregnant fiance :)
D. B.
What a venue! Outstanding staff, great lighting and brilliant sound. Couldn't be bettered...
M. R.
Great venue, great night with Frank Turner in Lost Evenings II
C. F.
Great venue for concerts! Easy to get to, get into and enjoy.
T.
Visited twice - once for a theatre show, another time for a concert. Nice venue! Although if you're seated upstairs, the columns unfortunately, annoyingly, block your view.
J.
This legendary venue has plenty going for it: history, beauty inside and out, good sound and a regular bill of excellent acts. Built in 1846 as a railway engine shed, where trains used to turn, humans now turn, and bounce and sing.
This place has really seen some huge gigs in it's time, with Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and The Clash having all done their thing here.
For gig watching, there are both stalls and seats. But get there early to avoid being on the outside of the columns, else you might find one obstructing your view.
M. C.
Nice venue. Intimate size. Saw many good concerts here. If you get a membership you get to access the member’s bar and get other benefits which come with it, plus you support the resident artist.
L. G.
It has a wonderful atmosphere. It's the best venue in town well designed and you can see the artists. there some amazing shows. I saw Prince there it was the most awesome gig. The place is full of history.
P. K.
Love this venue! Great atmosphere, you never seem too far away from the stage andthe acoustics are good. As with any music venue watch for pickpockets! Leave your rucksack at home unless you're carrying mousetraps in it!
F. D.
I have only been to the Roundhouse once but it was a great experience. Fair priced drinks, friendly staff and fantastic acoustics. The only negative I saw is the bag check and coat drop place gets insanely busy and we had to wait like 20 minutes for a friend to retrieve their bag. It was a packed event though so I wont really hold it against them
V. m.
One of my favourite venues. The whole concept of the venue is excellent supporting young artists. The building is magical and we’ve always seen sublime artists and shows there. One tip - make sure you look up!
T. L.
The venue was the best part of the concert, really lovely repurposing of an old space
H. Z.
A nice, pretty intimate venue. There's a standing part near the stage on the ground floor, and seats above on the first floor. The acoustics were very bassy at times, and sometimes the background music was louder than the vocalist! The staff were friendly and accommodating.
D. D.
Went to see a concert here, entry was quick and easy, drinks priced as would be expected. Great terrace garden. Loved the music venue, it looks stunning. Parking isn't great unless you're happy to walk 10mins.
E. P.
I was impressed with the setup of this place. All staff were professional and the ushers had a good system of guiding guests to each other to ensure the place is filled up strategically.
I also loved how many toilets there were and the big selection of drinks. They even had rosé!
We saw the club swizzle show and it was excellent!
P. N.
This is a great venue for gigs, but arrive early as sight lines at the back aren't great (blame that on the Victorian's.
There can also be queues to get in and queues for the bar, but there are a couple if bars, a decent terrace for the summer and a nice restaurant too.
F. K.
No covid checks, but great small venue
B. W.
Very nice venue, I watched the circus show Kin and it was very enjoyable, there's a small bar by the lobby which quickly fills up so be prepared to stand if you don't get there super early. There is also a bar upstairs once you've had your tickets checked, which much less busy and has somewhat decent view. In the venue itself it's big bit doesn't feel too crowded when it's full like it was when I went. The round shape makes the venue pretty dramatic, however there are many many columns, so if you're picking seats really try and get them as close to the stage as you can, else you'll be bobbing and weaving trying to see all the action.
B. E. -. E.
Been at Roundhouse for a concert. Beautiful place, worth visiting it.
C. M.
Excellent live music venue. Bars are well staffed and it's actually possible to get a beer before a gig, unlike the likes of the Brixton Academy. Sound quality is excellent and you feel fairly close to the stage from anywhere in the venue. One of my favourite London music venues.
L. D. P.
Barbershop Chronicles was absolutely incredible. I'd recommend going to the bar on the lower floor. Has more of a buzz and selection of drinks.
Theatre was great make sure you pick middle seats and avoid the aisle if you're in the stalls.
If you're lucky enough to get a seat on the ground floor, welcome to the show! It's immersive, live and incredible.
