Reviews of Wimbledon Tennis Club & Museum (Stop W)

We had an absolutely amazing time, watching so many brilliant matches. Would highly recommend for any tennis lover. 🥰🎾

Absolutely brilliant tour and experience. A must for any tennis fan. I spent a cool 90 min just browsing through the museum while waiting for the stadium tour. If your thinking what can you possibly know from viewing a few empty tennis courts? Think again! The guides here do a pretty fabulous job of weaving a story with each court, like the longest match in history here or how the blades of grass are maintained all through winter, little anectodes and what not. Definitely a place not to be missed in all of London! Use the overground to get to Wimbledon and bus to the stadium.

One should visit (especially tennis lovers) and learn about this place even when there is no Wimbledon open going on, In fact that is the best time to visit. Some very interesting facts and fascinating history about Tennis and this place which makes it even special and stand out from other tournaments. The guide was very friendly (Alfie) and covered a lot of details. The museum is very nice as well.

Amazing complex, was here for Wimbledon 2019 and lucky enough to see some legends play on center court! Beautifully immaculate and perfectly organized tournament.

It is very nice museum in London. Many old history of tennis we know from this museum.Wimbledon is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments, the others being the Australian Open, the French Open and the US Open. Since the Australian Open shifted to hardcourt in 1988, Wimbledon is the only major still played on grass, which is widely considered as the classic tennis court. The tournament traditionally took place over two weeks in late June and early July, starting on the last Monday in June and culminating with the Ladies' and Gentlemen's Singles Finals, scheduled for the Saturday and Sunday at the end of the second week. However, recent changes to the tennis calendar have seen the event moved back by a week to begin in early July.Five major events are held each year, with additional junior and invitational competitions also taking place.

Great day, including lining up in the Q for tickets. If someone told me I'd enjoy lining up at 5am for 5 hours for tickets I'd call them a liar, but was one the best days I've had in London!

A must visit. Dream of every tennis player and lover.. the Court.

Lives up to its reputation.
Queued twice in 2011 and 2012 for the Wimbledon Finals.
Queued for 11 hours(in rain) in 2012 (Federer vs Murray) and it was totally worth it.
The finals are projected on screens in the courts adjacent to center court and one can sit and watch the game.
Although, the more exciting option is the “Henman Hill” with a huge picnic area. You can view the live telecast of matches match from this area on the Huge Screen built in front of the Centre court.
If you are in during the finals, do remember to stay until after the award ceremony and visit the crossing bridge between press building and players locker room building.
That’s where the winning player and coach come after the awards to greet the Fans. This is the HIGHLIGHT of any finals as a non Centre court ticket holder at the Wimbledon’s 😉.

The Wimbledon Tennis club is amazing!! I had an opportunity to visit and it was awesome. They displayed a picture of the women's and men's championship winners. This allows fans to take pictures with them. Check out the store to get your favorite tennis gear. You can also get posters of your favorite tennis players. #Wimbledon #London #VisitLondon #VisitUK

It is an incredibly beutiful place that you should visit whether you like tennis or not. I am a big fan of tennis and couldn't visit it during the tournament, but all the facilities, the museum and being inside the central court is just amazing. I really liked that the central court still had the score of the last final played there.

We were lucky enough to attend Wimbledon this year. Amazing event. Well organised, beautiful grounds, quintessentially British.
Make sure you visit the museum. Great value - child went free with an adult when we were there.
Brilliant interactive displays, historical artefacts about the game as well as the championships. Covers fashion, players and equipment. The VR experience was superb.
A calm oasis in the middle of a major interview tournament. Well done the All England Club.

I attended the 3rd day of Wimbeldon tournament this year. The tickets are hard to get but you can always queue especially in the early tournament days. It is worth the wait. The place is amazing, well kept and with well maintained facilities. Has a great choice of food places with a wide variety. The prices of food and refreshments can seem a bit pricey but at the end you are attending Wimbeldon.
