Reviews of Mote Park Main Children's Playground

The stunningly playful Children's Play Area is located by the Main Car Park of the Mote Park. It is one of the many play areas available in the award-winning 450 acres Mote Park. Various play frames placed across a large secure area with safety rubber surface offering brilliant active play platforms for traversing, climbing, sliding, and running! This challenges children's upper body strength, grip and grasp, core stability, balance, fine motor skills, and push and pull. The play frames and surrounding open space make it very exciting and encourage an open-ended, free-flowing Play Area - great for children to interact, bond with each other, and practice their social skills.
One of the key attractions of Mote Park is a dedicated accessible play area enjoyed by children & families, in particular, families with accessible needs. There is a Dementia-Friendly Tree Walk Trail, making this Mote Park much more accessible and inclusive!
There is an area catered for toddlers with a little sandpit. Mote Park Main Hub and Café is currently being redeveloped! Once it is completed, parents can have a great time having a hot or cold drinks and snacks while children enjoy the magnificent play area.
Adventure Sports, Dino Golf, Skate Park and Outdoor Gym are located right next to the Play Area. Other key features of this amazingly popular park include grassland, woodland, rivers and a 30 acre lake, a model railway, model boats, accessible toilets, public toilets, sports pitches - football, rugby & cricket, Mote Park Water Sports Centre, Maidstone Leisure Centre - gym, swimming pools, lagoons, angling in the lake, Segway Terrain, Mote Park Outdoor Adventure - Sky Trail, Climbing Wall, Indoor Bowls, Health & Wellbeing for aged 55 & over at Mote House.
Vast green space with numbers of mature trees and long lakeside promenade create a beautiful, tranquil landscape to entice you for walking, jogging, cycling, exploring......... Having a picnic under the cool shade of canopies of trees in the summer and glorious colour in the autumn.
Conveniently, there are 3 car parks with dedicated disabled ♿ 🅿 bays - Main Car Park, School Lane Car Park and Burning Ground Car Park.

Great for children of all ages - Our 1 year old (who doesn't walk yet) loves the toddler area and the swings, allowing him to safely climb and explore. Equipment is all kept safe and maintained - Anything unsuitable for use is fenced off when it shouldn't be used. Overall, I've loved Mote Park since I was a child, and it's amazing to see it's still a lovely park to visit with children or just for a walk on a sunny day!

A day well spent. Great for kids and adults. We loved the sky trail and a small golf session . The playground is awesome. There is a rock climbing activity, boating spot and two seegway spots...its a huge park. The tree trail is long. There are not many restrooms and they close by 6 pm. Thats something they should improve on.

We always enjoy our time at this park- plenty to do for my 3 year old. The equipment is well maintained and it’s nice to have it all fenced in.

Park has a very good children's playground, but it is surrounded by very noisy drilling works being undertaken. On the day we visited they had allowed a massive muddy sludge to form a vast pool by one of the playground entrances, not good! Rest of the park and lake is quite pretty and makes a pleasant walk, but while all the work is going on I wouldn't make a special trip to visit.
