I would like to thank Karen and John for all of their help with arranging my Dad's funeral With it being unexpected I didn't know where to start and they lead us through the whole process with compassion and care. From the first phone call I felt so at ease and comfortable with them. They kept us updated with everything along the way and nothing was too much trouble. They made what was a difficult time really easy and I can not thank them enough. I would highly recommend them.

Where do I even begin…. The moment I walked into there I knew I had made the right decision. I couldn’t have got through the last 2 and a half weeks without Karen and John’s support. I have to give the biggest love to Karen who rang me almost everyday to keep me updated but mostly to see how I was and be the kindest ear whilst navigating something I had never done before. They gave my Father the most dignified final journey whilst listening to all my wishes and I couldn’t have been more proud walking beside them down that high street. Everything was done with empathy and genuine care and I know you did my dad, myself and his granddaughter proud. I will be forever grateful for the beautiful final journey and celebration you gave him. Thank you with my whole heart. You were absolutely amazing. 💕💕

After contacting 4 local undertakers we opted to appoint Dootson and Harrison to make the necessary arrangements for the funeral of my late brother, based simply on their initial response to our requirements and their competitive (though not the cheapest) quote for undertaking the associated work. Our initial meeting with Karen and John was very reassuring in relation to their professional manner, their advice, their compassion and their friendly approach during what was quite a difficult time for the family. Even the premises is warm and welcoming which was a complete surprise when compared with other establishments we had used in the past. They were very accommodating throughout the whole process, providing the necessary support and advice as and when required. They were very approachable and provided a rapid response to any questions or changes we required throughout the period. If we had to give marks it would be 10/10 and subsequently we would be happy to endorse their services to all concerned. We would have no hesitation of using them in the future (though hopefully not any time soon!)

This is the 2nd time I have used Karen & John for a funeral and on each occasion they have been superb. They are extremely professional and efficient yet they are very friendly and helpful. Where to begin!? There are no words to describe what a flawless service Karen and John and their team provided to us when we recently lost a beloved husband, father, grandad and father-in-law. From the initial phone call, to our first visit to their 'homely' premises (yes it is possible for this type of establishment to be homely!) and all the way through to the funeral and even now afterwards, their care, compassion, empathy, genuine friendliness and humour (when required) saw us through our most difficult of times. They truly gave us a hand to hold and gently guided us through every part of what is a very daunting process. Every detail was taken care of, every request accommodated. We would like to thank Karen and John for the funeral arrangements for our beloved child. The arrangements were very well thought out and professionally carried out to the last. Extra special touches for our beloved child, were exceptional, these included making the small chapel room "like a bedroom ", with his favourite theme. Karen made picture frames, added trains,, "special touches" to his coffin and even made a special pillow of his favourite theme. Karen and John organised special "hand casts " and special touches for his ashes casket, nothing was too much trouble. Both Karen and John continue to be supportive, kind and helpful throughout this distressing time.
