Me and daughter spend a pleasant time here today. This was a present for my 60th birthday. We had a massage and facial which was very relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful. A good job I read the reviews before as we took our own bath towels because it saved us £8.50 each for a loan of a bath robe. Very relaxed place and will visit again.

A group of 6 attended today and throughly enjoyed our experience, found communication great between spa and ourselves they kept us upto date with guidelines and procedures during xmas and government guidelines during covid. The treatments we received were soothing and relaxing just what we all needed, the girls were very informative with treatments we received and would highly recommend. Found the facility's clean and tidy and liked the fact there was a separate sauna and steam room in the ladies changing rooms will definitely be using again

First time having a massage and it was just what i needed Rebecca was absolutely lovely and made me feel very relaxed and was very informative!! Would highly recommend! Give these ladies a raise :)

Doesn’t have the best entrance or first impression but the treatments and massages we had were really good. Relaxation room was a great space as well. But it’s only worth going if you have a treatment. The pool is dirty and outdated.

The best part about the spa day was the massage by far. I waited about 15 minutes for the massage so it was a little late. The massage was really relaxing though. The pool area however is not clean enough. The best part of my day though was watching the member of staff at reception getting completely worked up over absolutely nothing at the till, to the point that he was huffing and puffing and asked us to sit down and wait. We were the only customers at reception for him to deal with. He seemed like he was in a huge rush when finally showing us around the spa. The free raspberry tea in the relaxation room was nice though ...

Was a Xmas present bought via wowcher. "Spa day for 2. " the positives : friendly greeting and showed round facility. Changing rooms and showers excellent with a sauna and steam room there and next to pool. Pool area , sauna and steam room nice and clean. The spa was lovely and the staff were very professional and friendly. Massage and facial was excellent. The not so positives :: not enough loungers round pool or hook for towels round pool. Jacuzzi had dirt in it which was probably someone got in it with dirt on body. ( told staff and he said would sort ) the relaxation room looked bit tired and only few herbal tea bags and tepid water. Not enough for a day. Water was refreshed when asked but could have done with better selection and some nibbles. And lastly the bath robes need renewing . Had holes n tear in them. Did have a lovely day tho and staff were excellent. Just take a picnic and drinks if you go.

Lovely spa day with my other half! We used a wowcher and it was such good value for money! We got 2 treatments each which we picked a back and shoulder massage and a facial. On time with appointments and the pool sauna and steam room were all clean and lovely! Not overly busy either.

The spa (sauna/steam/hot tub) and pool are tired due to over use by high volume of members so that part of the visit was more like a council ran leisure centre. The spa however was really good. Nice set up, products and the massage was superb. Overall well worth the money just don't expect an overall champagne experience.

Four of us had a lovely day at the spa. The facilities were nice enough but found the scaffolding above the pool in the basement of the building a little off putting. Having said that the massage and facial treatments we had were excellent and we all left feeling refreshed and very relaxed!!

Stars are for Spa treatments and staff which were amazing. Facilities really let them down. Pool and changing areas were outdated and felt quite grubby. Relaxation room wasn't very relaxing. Wasn't impressed that I had to pay and extra £3 for robe, towel and slippers. From past experiences with other spas, when paying for a treatment these would be complimentary. But again couldn't fault the staff. From reception to treatments, all were extremely professional and helpful.

Visiting here with my sister, mum and nan for a Virgin experience spa day. On arrival the staff were lovely and gave us a tour of all the facilities. The facials were very well received, changing rooms clean and great showers! Pool was a good temperature, and the jacuzzis were brill. Great to have a pool in central Manchester!

Massage its self was amazing, however, the rest of the experience could have been better. I booked a double room for myself and my wife so we could have our treatments together only to be told they had double booked. So we had to go separate. This was a birthday gift for my wife so I was very disappointed .

Had a lovely day in the spa. Was charged a £20 deposit for the robe which came in a bag with some flip flops and a towel. And an extra £6 on top. Handed the bag back was told I could keep the bag and flipflops ( I didn't ) and only got the £20 deposit back which is a bit of a con. Also had a joint treatment with my sister which was lovely but the therapists whispered to each other all the way through it which was quite annoying. Alright as a Groupon purchase but wouldn't pay full price

Brilliant spa day. Great facilities including good size pool, two Jacuzzi, sauna, steam rooms and relaxation room. Even had additional sauna and steam room in changing rooms. Staff very friendly and the treatments were amazing! Thank you Conner and Olivia.

I was booked a full spa day here with my girlfiend. The spa itself has a sauna, a steam room, a half sized pool, two hot tubs and a relaxation room. As well as this, you have full access to the gym all day. Firstly, there is a hidden cost: a spa bag can be hired for £6 - it contains a bath robe, a towel and a pair of flip flops. You get to keep. The flip flops and the bag, but must return the towel and bathrobes. The gym is really nice. There are a lot of machines and we went when it wasn't busy at all. The pool is set to a cool tempurature. I wouldn't relax in it - but toe cerise it is really nice. The sauna and steam room are both really good. They are small-ish (could fit around 10 people in each) but at most I saw about 2/3 people in them. Therw are two hot tubs, which work on a 3 minute bubble cycle. The relaxation room is nice! There are 6 beds, and some free tea to just sit and relax. All of the items stated are shared with the regular gum members. The only thing that is spa specicific is the treatments given. I had a Swedish back and shoulder massage. It felt amazing - the technique used was brilliant and my back felt very free afterwards! I definitely recommend this place!

Went with a friend using a gift card. Had back, neck and shoulder massage. The treatment was great and the therapist was friendly and professional. The facilities, however, was a let down. Decor and furnishings felt a bit run down and in need of a refurbishment. Not what you expect from a national chain.

It has all the essentials facilities for a good health spa, a gym, a sauna, jacuzzi, swimming pool, steam room, sun bed and a spa treatment room. But it does need some improvement to its quality and worth, like more gym equipment and more space plus some few refurbishment which I see is ongoing.

Love this gym especially the pool. There is a little maintenance required but it must cost a fortune to maintain a facility like that. The pool is fantastic. Original 1930's. Loved it.

Definitely loved the spa treatments my son paid for when it was my 50th in June so I left it as close as possible to mother's day and took my mum too,from the moment we arrived in reception the staff were very helpful,then we went for our spa treatments and we were together in the same room where the room was really cosy and a great ambience,the two girls Rebecca and Isabella made us comfortable and very relaxed and we could've stayed there longer,we took advantage of the showers and getting ready for our lunch booking but we could've used the other facilities there too like the sauna and swimming pool but maybe next time
