Small atmospheric local theatre. The lobby and bar is part of a new extension and the theatre is small enough, so you're close to the action. Recommended. PS: Lots of the older members of the audience fell asleep throughout the play, even at the beginning. That's disrespectful to the actors.

We watched an absolutely fantastic play last night. The actors were so convincing that I actually had tears in my eyes at the final scene. Well done all of you involved in this production. See you for your next play.

My first ever visit, and I am greatly impressed, it is a very intimate theatre. I went as a guest, I would love to become a member. The play was great and Wow! The acting was FIRST CLASS. It is a credit to everyone concerned as I believe are all volunteers. If you get the opportunity to go, I am sure you will enjoy a great time.

Very surprised when I entered this theater, looks tiny and unassuming from the outside, but going in it opened up slightly. The ticket booth area had a large TV on the wall (which I couldn't quite figure out what for, then later on found out it's for anyone who turns up late, they can watch the performance on the TV and enter the theater during an interval, brilliant way for people to not miss anything and also not disturb the performance). The theater itself is small, but I felt this brought the audience in to the play itself, seating is in a semi circle with the stage in the center. Very impressed with the lay out, and the play itself.

We went on the night of the fire alarm!! This happened at the start of the second half ane we all had to leave. The play was going really well, the actors were excellent and a great ambience in this wonderful little gem. However, due to unfortunate circumstances we were offered the choice of coming back on the following Saturday and the second half of the play was going to be performed between the matinee and the evening performance. Once again the acting was superb but the play fell short of its potential due to the gap between the two halves of the play. This was our first time at the Garrick but it won't be our last.
