Reviews of Bradwell Windmill
A lovely looking Windmill that is rated as one of the most haunted locations in Milton Keynes. Unfortunately on my investigation, I found no evidence, plus it's located next to a sports field and social club which was rather noisy.
Great place, you can see how it works and grind some grains for flour but it's open only few days per year
Very pretty windmill to walk around, great piece of working history.
A little tricky to find. Sadly closed but great for some photography.
Wonderful restored windmill in working condition. Expert guiding by the volunteers who maintain the mill.
Nice place for a pitstop , theres a bench 2 sit and space 4 kids to run around
Bradwell Windmill is one of my favourite couple photography session in Milton Keynes.
The epic sunset scenary, the sun light on the mill...absolutely perfect.
Great little piece of history in the middle of a busy town.
It is good to see inside when open and climb up the ladders to higher floors.
Shame about the litter from picnics and strong stench of weed being smoked near the car parking bays.
Windmill is smaller than I thought but very pretty. Easy to find. Places to park. Nice location. Door closed no sign of life.
Just passing. Not every day you find a windmill in a housing estate.
Discovered this Windmill by accident. Great reminder of how modern MK encompasses lots of hidden gems from the past. Located on raised grassland area, in corner of Bradwell, between the canal and cricket pitch. Surrounded on 3 sides by trees. Great South west view towards Bancroft. Good spot for a picnic or break during a canal walk.
Stunning well kept windmill with a good info board outside .
Access is through the sports club ,/ football club field not where the postcode on google directs you .
Go to the football club and go on to the fields but keep right . Where the opening in the trees are the windmill is through there and quite a thing to see .
Picturesque restored windmill set back from the road with large grassy area in front for running about or picnicking (when allowed).
Shame about the constant stench of weed being smoked and dog poo left by irresponsible owners and costa rubbish left by picnickers.
Very pretty and well kept, just a shame it's not open much. Update they are restoring the outer of the windmill
Very nice, old and good condition Windmill . Are situated in one very nice green place. I am not sure , but I think it's the single one in Milton Keynes .
Its a small windmill in new bradwell area in Milton keynes. It's next to the bradwell cricket ground.
It's good place to take photos outside as the mill is closed to go inside.
Good piece of history
Very pretty place, great for photos and has benches. Close to a park and some nice open sports fields that are always empty, with much more, sheltered seating. (This was where a friend of mine proposed so it's pretty cute)
Could be interesting with some TLC but you can only look at it, and I probably wouldn't go behind it! There is also a park through the hedge at the top of the sport field.
You can't go in. It has a small information plaque and a millstone outside
Love the windmill. Great peace of history.
By far my favourite places for couple photo sessions. The sunset light heating the windmill and the window in the trees allowing the sun to light the models will give you an amazing photography scenary.
I've only rated tis as 3 stars as I couldn't go inside. Milton Keynes museum does open it to the public each year and I dare say that would be a far better experience. The times of opening were posted outside the windmill and are probably on their website. It does look good from the outside .
Well preserved nice place to relax and admire a bit of Milton Keynes history.
Nice intact windmill viewed from the outside.
Parking in the nearby sports facility on non-event days.
I didn't get to visit it inside, but outside it's gorgeous!
Love visiting the windmill
Nice place, worth a visit! No entrance from Mill Lane, better to go round the sports field, there are some parking places too.
Very peaceful
Recommended to visit during Summer day time. Don't miss the canal on the V6, near this spot.
Lovely old windmill opens to the public occasionally
It has interesting history. I want to know more about the ghost of girl it inhabits.
Made very welcome welcome lovely Football Club staff very helpful
It’s hard to think that in the middle of Milton Keynes is such a beautiful windmill
Great local landmark beautifully restored
An excellent hidden treasure, the flour is good too.
A windmill that actually makes flour. The good old days :)
Calm and serene. A picture of the past
Excellent. Not many left now working.

Great windmill in the heart of the town
