The RSGB is pleased to announce that the National Radio Centre will reopen to visitors on Monday 31st January and be open 7 days/week.
We look forward to welcoming visitors once again but ask that you wear a mask in the NRC as it can become crowded and there is limited air flow in the facility.

It's worth a visit, when you visit the park. It's very interesting how radio has evolved over time, from the 1800s to now. There is even a radio centre there where they do demonstrations talking to people in other countries such as Germany and Japan. They even have live feeds of the national space station and other satellites communications. Definitely worth the visit. Highly recommended.

We received a very informational and enthusiastic explanation about the early days of the radio operators during the second world War. The way the operators listened and sent there messages to postbus 25 was new to me. The exhibitions give you insight in radio technique over the last 100 years

The National Radio Center is operated by engaged nerds. I I can only talk about them in the most positive tone. These people can tell you everything about amateur radio communication and the history behind it. I loved their little stories and knowledge about the technologies involved. Too bad they are not always opened. I recommend asking in advance.

Awesome place to visit to learn about the history of how radios work and radio communication. Seeing a radio station operate live and up close is a very cool experience.

The most interesting place in the whole bletchley park. I strongly advise you to visit. a lot of useful information, it will be accessible and understandable to all. There are many illustrative examples. The museum will be very useful for students to demonstrate and better understand the school material.

Unbelievable and completely unexpected pleasure! The fella was so keen to tell us everything about radio, I could still be there now. God bless the chap. Lovely, lovely man.

The National Radio Centre always makes a good visit whilst at Bletchley Park, I'm looking forward to utilising the season pass from the park to go back again and operate from GB3RS. The team were great and offered help to my wife who's looking to get licenced along with other people asking the same questions.

The staff are an absolute delight to talk to and are very passionate and knowledgeable about the exhibits! Walked out a lot smarter than I did before I went in.

Small museum (a few rooms) but fascinating and detailed museum about the history and physical presence of radio in our history from its invention to future development (everything from small low mhz / local broadcasting to augmented reality - development of broadcasting tothe light spectrum range)
Asthe space is sparse the information is limited to information chunks and interactive displays but wastes nothing and is highly entertaining and gives alot of useful information for it's space for all ages)
Highly recommend overall

This is a permanent radio station for amateurs In Bletchley Park. A super visit - everyone should go. Amazing amount of refurbishment. The whole site gives an impression of calm these days. This is far from the truth in the second world war. Plenty of atmosphere and a guided tour thrown in.

Amazing historical exhibits with a state of the art working amateur radio station. If you're licensed you might be able to operate the radio yourself.

This has been established by the RSGB at the world famous Bletchley Park museum and serves to provide a balance between introducing Amateur Radio and providing somewhere licensed Radio Hams can also enjoy. It has a well equipped "shack" that is manned entirely by volunteers who are knowledgeable and approachable. If you are visiting Bletchley this is a great bonus facility

Not explained the best but through my physics alevel I could learn abit. Would be good if the interactive areas were explained better to understand what was going on.
I really enjoyed it though and will be going back again soon.

A memorable occasion when Italy was calling the National Radio Centre using the enigma machine for the first time and the guys in NRC were decoding using another enigma. It was like party time everyone was excited. Priceless
