Reviews of Isle of Wight Pearl
S.
Always love to visit for browsing the beautiful jewellery and also pick a pearl which we like to do on occasion! Well worth a visit. Lovely cafe too but we've not been in. Beautiful view of the sea from the window, ideal at sunset.
M. E.
Beautiful place, views are just outstanding and well worth a visit.
You can even treat yourself to a beautiful 😍 pearl.
If not a nice cup of tea and a bud.
P. I.
My bestie and I visited Isle of Wight Pearl on our recent weekend break to IOW. It’s definitely worth a trip if you have any interested in jewellery (or wear any of your own!). I had a go at the Pick-a-Pearl and it was such a fun and interesting experience. The team member was extremely helpful and informative. My beautiful pearl was turned into a wonderful bracelet, which I can’t wait to wear and show off. If you’re in the area, give it a go! Lovely views from there and a cafe on site too.

What a beautiful place! Everything is exquisite, beautifully made, all items displayed to show everything to its best. I could have spent a small fortune! I bought a beautiful torque bangle, pearls at each end, it fits and looks lovely. I highly recommend a visit. If we were on the island longer, I would go back and buy some earrings. I could always buy what I want online!!
Love the place.

We had very good time in Isle of Wight.. many attractions... beautiful locations..places..vineyards.. skydiving..boating..theme parks..many more..worth to spend 2-3 days in Isle of Wight

Visited with family on Sunday, and instantly fell in love with the absolutely epic views. Had some food from the café which was excellent, the portions large and well presented. Finished off our visit purchasing my daughter her first pearl and a wonderful ring for my partner- customer service was exceptional and we will definitely be returning! Thank you so much Liz and team!
K.
The most beautiful views I’ve ever seen from a jewellery store! Large and spacious, we arrived just after 3pm, free of any coach parties. Lots of display cabinets to browse, and a “pick your own pearl” area too - although this seemed a little expensive at £40 vs previous prices. Only knocked a star off as, despite it being pretty empty, there weren’t many staff around and we ended up waiting 10 minutes or so to be served until somebody was called over to help us. Staff very friendly when we did speak to them, and a gorgeous set of earrings purchased!

It's lovely to wonder around and the pearls, are they're gorgeous.
Yes not cheap but excellent quality.
Slightly disappointed it was quite in there, wanted to sit down for a coffee , but for a huge building the cafe hardly had any seats , so left and went elsewhere.
It was to cold and windy to sit outside, so could not of ventured outside.
There is a lot of dead space to create a bigger more welcoming cafe & restaurant.

Amazing experience! We found something for each of us and even it was short before closing Pauline took the time to explain detailed a lot about pearls and its creation.
When I was looking for something for my 1 year old, Pauline recommended the "pick a pearl". I don't want to spoil, but what a lovely idea! I did it and next day my husband wanted to return and pick a second one for our daughter as well.
It was really the "Pearl" crowning our stay on the Isle of Wight.
L. G.
Huge shop now with a variety of pearl jewellery designs. Obviously some are very expensive but I bought 2 pairs of earrings, both unusual designs & very good price.
Really good cafe with delicious meals at reasonable price AND you can take your dog in with you. Not many cafes allow that. There is also a lot of outdoor seating but the dogs can go anywhere, even to help you choose some jewellery in the shop!!
F. S.
Very Nice food, Quick snack. Scones are brilliant and perfectly made.
S. W.
We visited last week, we visit every year, we like the cream tea. I often treat myself to something and always find the staff helpful. However last week, Pauline went above and beyond. My daughter was with me and wanted to buy her first pair of earings, she was a little overwhelmed but Pauline gave her time and honest opinion and kindness to make the right decision. Thank you so much Pauline for treating a child with so much care and respect despite you being busy.
See you next year.

We come here yearly as my partner & her family love the place. It's in a gorgeous setting and the jewellery is just lovley. We were helped by the lovely Pauline who was wonderful in helping me get setup with the stores loyalty scheme (much to the excitement of my partner). Very patient, friendly & helpful service. Even when we purchased the jewellery and spotted a mistake on the reciept - which happens to everyone - she and the manager were fantastic in sorting it all out. Lovely staff and great coffee as well
B. G.
Free parking, fantastic sea views, knowledgeable staff. Have been here before and l would say a little disappointed to the choice of jewellery althoughIamsure many people will really like the individual designs. A pearl, you choose your own oyster for £40. Then they will offer to make the pearl into a piece of jewellery. We visited when there were coach parties already there so everywhere was crowded. We also managed to get a table in the cafe and the choice of cakes looked great.
P. H.
Fantastic place with lovely range of beautiful jewellery surrounded with great views. Also has a great cafe. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend
A. C.
Great place with beautiful jewellery. Staff are fantastic and helpful, really know their stuff. Great to finish with a drink and a bite to eat as well with Great views across the sea from the cliff top
C. H.
Always wanted to come, but never had the time. Managed to squeeze in time for a trip during our holiday. I was able to let my toddler pick a pearl out of the water, and got it put on a chain too. Fab service and got my special memory to keep with me
J. G.
The Isle Of Wight Pearl is in a great location on the Military Road with superb views out to see and towards the Needles. The cafe provides excellent lunches, cakes and drinks, and the staff are super friendly. Finally if you want pearls you have come to the right place.
J. T.
The jewelry is gorgeous. Tea room cafe is fabulous. Amazing views and lovely outside seating area. Brill on a warm sunny day.
A. A.
Interesting place and useful for buying a few gifts of quality. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable and not pushy. Only had tea and coffee from the cafe so can't comment on the food. After shopping we walked down the footpath adjacent the property to the Chilton Chine. Don't bother there's nothing to see and nowhere to walk apart from a coastal path.
E.
Unfortunately for my husband, he bought me another stunning pair of Isle of Wight pearl earrings.... Beautiful!
K. H.
WHAT a location! My second visit to the Isle of Wight Pearl and it never disappoints. Fantastic jewellery and also a fab cafe and stunning scenery. Not to be missed!
M. G.
Worth a detour for the FREE "pot of tea for two" courtesy of full page ad in the local travel guides. Good introduction to Isle of Sight pearls; take your better half with you so that you can indulge in impulse buying. The friendliness of the staff implies that you are not being fleeced as tourists.
Enjoyed my education here. If you have an hour to spare and are into jewelry this is NOT a tourist trap. You can buy earrings for your granddaughter here at prices cheaper than any equivalent store (my personal unaudited assertion).
A. H.
Took a pearl I opened a couple of years ago and had it made into a bracelet for a reasonable price.
There's a super cafe with nice cake to enjoy the views too.
Definitely an adult activity/ trip, although they do offer kids meals.
E. M.
I absolutely love and recommend this lovely place. It's a awesome experience, situated on the cliffs, a few miles outside Freshwater, directly off the military road.
The shop and cafe are airy, light and have fabulous far reaching views over the water.
There are benches on the cliff top to enjoy a drink, light lunch or afternoon tea on.
The cafe serves barista coffee and tea in a teapot. The cakes were amazing. The cost of this was very reasonable compared to some places, on the island,
The jewellery shop was stunning, wall plaques detailed jewellery history and processes. Each set of jewellery had a full explanation about the source of the pearl.
Currently has one of princess Diana's famous dresses on display.
I had saved up and was able to buy myself a beautiful ring, that I totally love. The staff were so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Letting me try on several rings, in different sizes to make sure I was 100% happy.
I will be back to add to my collection.
Make sure this on your place to visit.
S. B.
Lovely spot. Sitting outside looking at the channel on the picnic tables is lovely. So peaceful. Smells a bit greasey in the cafe. Latte and mocha was a bit weak and milky this time. Cake delicious. Staff lovely and friendly. A couple of tweaks as mentioned would easily move to five stars. Lovely to look at jewelry. Good they thought about kids with dressing up for the jubilee.
J. P.
If you're looking for a high quality pearl shop this is hands down thee quintessential place.
Café looked nice but thought it was overpriced for the food on offer. Offers outside seating with lovely coastal view.
Can't help but think it's a slightly odd combination café and jewelry shop.
I. L.
A good place to visit and a lovely display of jewellery. Helpful and knowledgeable staff . Unfortunately WC facilities for disabled are not up to standard. This was reported to staff on previous visits, but it is still the same. This spoils the visit
O. A.
This is a must see sight... everything about it is just beautiful 😍
Highly fascinating in my opinion! Lovely and friendly staff, great café, stunning views, not too expensive pearls
Only but you have to be able to drive down there as didn't see any local buses ply the route 😉
Overall highly recommended 💝😘
M. S.
Some lovely items of jewellery, but very expensiv. The displays are quite limited. Car parking is free. It was nice to see Lady Diana's dress.
D. B.
You can buy jewelery here and use the cafe for tea and scones, coffee, cake and fizzy drinks with an exceptional view of the sea. Worth having a visit if you are heading down military road.
P. W.
Great selection of pearl jewellery with something for all tastes and pockets. Very helpful but not pushy staff. Would benefit from air conditioning, for days like we visited.
L. M.
Staff Liam and manager Lizzy had been so helpful and caring for our mum who had a medical emergency , assisted with wheel chair , called 999- looked after us so well.
Amazing place to visit , strongly recommend !
L. R.
Beautiful scenery, nice food and a great location. Also a great choice of pearl gifts. Ample free parking.
T. O.
It was a real treat and a trip down memory lane to visit Isle of Wight Pearl.
Before this location was a pearl seller, it was Chiltern Chines a holiday camp. I spent many times in my youth holidaying here and have fabulous memories of spending time with my Grandparents at Chiltern Chines.
Everything is much as it was, and the main 'club' area is where the jewelry is located now.
Some of the older buildings not used by IOW Pearl are still there and it was a real treat to show my Wife where we spent many happy holidays.
While we were there, we ate at the restaurant and enjoyed the fine fayre on offer.
Whilst it's a disappointment that it is no longer a holiday destination, the fact that it's not derelict and IOW Pearl have taken such good care of the building is to be commended.
T. D.
Gorgeous jewelry for sale, pearls if you didn't guess. Excellent little coffee shop but they do food too, Sunday roast even. You can eat in or out and there is an area you can walk around for an excellent view of the water and coastline.
V. G.
A gorgeous carrot cake, a fabulous tree festival, and staff were brilliant .
L. C.
Lovely little place hidden away. Nice cafe. Even bought some early Xmas presents. Gorgeous jewellery.
J. R.
We use for a coffee and a snack.
We have bought pearls on three occasions. Can only have so many in our collection.
The snacks are good quality.
G. B.
Staff were amazing as always. Just introduced a loyalty card, wish it was out 5 years ago when we started shopping here.
B. H.
The Isle of Wight boasts many exciting, unique and exclusive places to shop and our showroom presents a wonderful collection of precious pieces for you to mark your time on the Isle of Wight. Situated on the stunning south west coast of the island, the Isle of Wight Pearl holds the largest selection of pearl jewellery in the UK. Established on the Island since 1988 we provide customers with more than just a shopping experience.
C.
Been to the Isle of Wight Pearl multiple times. Great experience of looking at pearl jewellery, and great cafe for cakes and refreshments. Stunning views of the sea.
C.
More of a retail shop rather than an attraction. There is a cafe with good views but I was hoping for some educational sessions on pearl cultivation and jewelery making. Nevertheless, there are exquisite- looking and stunning pearl artifacts to behold there.
T. J.
Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Both in the shop and cafe. Had the most amazing view eating our cream teas. And picked a beautiful pearl for a rung. Will definitely be coming back 😀
D. S.
Excellent place to look and buy pearl jewelry. Very helpful staff. Nice cafe too.
K. 1.
Yet again Pauline was incredible. Pauline has the most amazing knowledge about the products and pearls. It was an absolute pleasure being served by you. Your passion and love for your job is wonderful. You helped us last year pick my wife's wedding pearl and again this year some more. Such a wonderful lady ❤️ Thank you.
C. M.
Love this place, has restaurant good quality food.. is lovely to walk round and look at the jewellery
J. S.
Fantastic cafe with unspoilt sea views, great service and good food
P. R.
We Stopped here to have a look round and get lunch, very nice place the cafeteria was first class we was served by Debbie who couldn't have been more helpful
E. S.
Beautiful pearl shop. You can pick your own pearl which is a beautiful touch. There is also a great cafe with some benches outside.
P. W.
I always end up here at some point during my holiday in the IOW. This year, I was with my partner and her son went for the "pick a pearl" thing (which I've done many a time) where you pick an oyster and then they open it and value the pearl inside which you can then get mounted on a variety of mounts for a really personal gift. He picked a particularly classy looking pearl which they valued at £90 which made the £28 investment worthwhile!
R. V.
Pearls are with gold pleated metal instead of real gold... But it's fun to see the oysters and the cafe has a beautiful view
p. b.
Helen made my young daughters day finding her the most lovely necklace and making her feel special trying it on 1st class service
R. M.
For those interested in pearls this would certainly be of an interest, unfortunately I don't fall into that category but there is a lovely cafe on the premises
The premises are located near Brook on the coastal road towards Freshwater
R. B.
Very good value for money you pick an oyster to get a pearl then you can have it put on bracelet or ring
L. S.
Booked a free masterclass and Pauline did not disappoint. Really knowledgeable and very patient in answering our many questions. Showed us many examples whilst explaining the processes and differences. At the end we could both tell the difference between pearls and beads. As the masterclass was free, we expected the hard sell, but this did not happen at any time, even when we were truly trying to decide what to buy. Our purchases were supported by Karen and Pauline in the main. Early Christmas presents now in the car!
Parking is great, lots of space. Interesting facts, leaflets and displays around the 'store' support the information given. Beautiful views.
The area that let it down was the Cafe. Prices were high but quality low on cakes and drinks and service slow. Also found restaurant/ cafe area to be dull re ambience.
Definitely worth a visit overall though.
P. G.
Great place to buy Pearl's and fabulous Cafe with great coffee and staff.
J. W. (. S.
A beautiful setting, a lovely place to relax with a tea or coffee from the Pearl Cafe, browse around the shop and then take some lovey pictures from the cliff edge. Worth a visit.
A. A.
A beautiful location. Educational workshop and marvellous pieces to look at an buy. We had our usual Savoury Cream Tea, perfect again.
Liam, who served us at the jewellery counter was friendly and knowledgeable.
T. S.
It's easy if you have a car, bus also stops but every one hour once
S. A.
Very nice collection of a variety of pearls. Many replicas of pearls worn by the royals in display. Worth the visit
M. H.
Absolutely beautiful place and just off the best road on the island. Situated near the cliff edge it's a great place to stop off at for lunch inside or out. They have the best selection of pearls I've ever seen (and I'm in the trade). The food was great, the staff friendly and helpful. If your visiting the Isle of Wight its definitely worth visiting.
C. H.
Very beautiful jewellery plus a good place for a bite to eat and take in the view's.
b. t.
Absolutely beautiful scenery
Clean beach shop owners were very friendly
H. Y.
This place having pearls museum and amazing designs and back of pearls museum we have beautiful sea view to take pictures .

F. T.
Lovely selection of various peal jewellery, varying price range. Parking, toilets and cafe also
J. S.
Wonderful jewellery had to buy some. The view from the garden was breath taking
S. G.
Beautiful place
You get a nice view from outside
B. W.
Really friendly staff, who are extremely helpful. We loved the Cafe and the cake was lovely
N. J.
Blown away. That's the summary of our day today at Isle of Wight Pearl. We came over from the mainland for a one night trip to celebrate my Fiancée's birthday, the focus of the day being the Isle of Wight Pearl.
Liam, gave us our Pearl Masterclass (which I had pre-booked, and it was absolutely free) and it was brilliant. We were talked through all the different ways Pearls come into being, both naturally and cultured.
Liam talked us through so much, far too much to detail now so I'll say this, get down to the Isle of Wight Pearl for a free Masterclass asap!
Another thing that shocked me was how 'non-salesy' the Masterclass was. I had assumed that it was mainly a talk geared at getting you to buy something but this couldn't be further from the truth! Liam showed us some amazing things and at the end we were given a £5 gift voucher for use whenever we wanted.
As it was Fiancée's birthday, she deserved a present and we did the 'Pick a Pearl' experience which was really cool. Liam talked us through it and the Pearl we ended up buying was worth 3 times the price of the experience in the first place! Liam mounted it onto a necklace for her and after using our voucher it was £88. Not a cheap birthday present, but for a beautiful piece of jewellery that we have a real story to go with it was well worth it!
Oh and we popped into the Pearl Cafe for a sandwich, absolutely delicious! Highly recommended.
As a summary: Isle of Wight Pearl, give Liam a bonus, he was amazing!
J. C.
Fantastic coffee shop! Excellent food and brilliant, friendly stuff. Highly recommended!!!
k. b.
Gorgeous jewellery, and the most wonderful VEGAN cake available!! Along with soya milk and a vegan pasta dish. The staff were kind, helpful and happy. Definitely going to visit on a regular basis
C. X.
My wife loved it. Was interesting and of course cost me.
A. N.
Lovely place, but we were not buying pearls, just called in for a snack lunch with friends. Excellent restaurant, really good service and food. Very enjoyable.
L. D.
Lovely shop, friendly staff, have the option to pick your own oyster and keep the pearl from it when they've valued it, good selection of products and they have a cafe
J. A.
Didn’t expect to see this, we quickly stopped the car to visit. Huge range of pearl jewellery in a classy location.
N. P.
The pearl jewellery here isn't cheap but the designs are quite elegant and fairly unique.
M. v.
Wonderful staff taking their time explaining all of the pearls and jewels.
R. D.
Fishing out your own oyster to see what colour pearl you get. Fantastic idea
J. C.
Great stop off place. Sells wide range of pearl related jewellery. Pick a pearl let's you pick an oyster with random pearl in. Keep it as is or set in jewellery. Good cafe with hot food, cakes and hot drinks. Amazing views. Isolated so probably go by car. Gets busy with coaches during season. Wheelchair accessible throughout. Wheelchair accessible parking but big car park. Very friendly and helpful staff. Jewellery range of prices.
C. W.
£1.60 for a tiny pot of jam to go with an already pricey order?
First and last time...
S. A.
Lovely sponge cakes and tea&coffee,
B. C. F.
Great cafe, lovely jewellery toilets! Great views.
G.
Friendly staff. Great jewelery selection, pick your own oyster to get a pearl
C. B.
Lovely place to visit if your after some jewellery, I was brought a set of jewellery from here, 30 years ago+ and still going strong. Had a lovely hot chocolate in the cafe, staff very helpful.
C. S.
Great place to buy anything pearl. Treat your other half and spend a day out on a journey you’ll never forget.
g. i.
Lovely coffee shop and cakes. All pearls beautifully displayed
D. E.
Karen was very knowledge, kind, warm and spent time with us to make our purchases. I think the staffing (2 staff on) was a bit low for how busy it was. The place was very low on stock but it is great value and staff were helpful. I think an added service should be stock to order and deliver as at the end of the day they have a direct relationship with the manufacturer so making stock shouldn't be an issue. More customised options should be available in this day and age and you just choose your pearls on site. There was a particular pearl i liked but the bracelet was a weird peach tan colour that I didn't like. I asked if there was a way to change the bracelet and keep the pearl but there wasn't. Helen helped with this too but we weren't able to resolve. Mens items lacked which is a bit shocking as a good 40% of the venue had men with partners in and so they are literally missing an audience who are walking around with nothing to buy. They could easily market some mens options. I was walking around think that could be a good mens option if this was like this etc. We found some great items for women we brought two necklaces and a pair of earrings very happy with the purchases. The service if anything goes wrong is great we had previously brought a ring and the pearl fell off and it was replaced via post. The café on site is lovely with great options too and really friendly staff. Thank you
I. H.
Same style as Jersey with many xmas tree charity displays. Lovely community spirit.
Good food as well as new selection of pearls.
m. j.
I had my pearl necklace repaired and restrung. The service was excellent and the staff were with me every step of the way , with regular updates on progress, costs and postage. The necklace was packed beautifully for the return.
I am delighted with the A1 service 😀
S. N.
Lovely isle. Lazy day. Done the usual visit. Then the Pearl Shop. PYO. Go see for yourself.
E. V. T.
Had a wonderful experience here, bought a lovely pearl bracelet and another for my daughter's birthday. No pressure from any staff to buy, but incredibly friendly.
C. G. L.
Interesting great place for coffee when the weather is good
I. D.
Looks like there would be a lot to see here but sadly most of the peripheral shops are shut at the moment. Good quality jewellry
D. C.
Was better in the past. Seems more focused on sales than displays.
K. r.
Lovely jewellery shop. Had fun picking an oyster and finding a pearl (although a different price to the website?) the Cafe was clean and had a good selection, but the salad dressing was awful (would have preferred on the side) and the Welsh rarebit had way too much Worcestershire sauce on it, so couldn't eat it.
S. H.
Lovely place to visit after a long walk lovely scones
S. C.
Visited out of season with a friend who wanted to revisit from memories of years ago. Had a quick look around and went for a coffee. Very nice, helpful staff brought our drinks to us as friend was using 3 wheeler walker and I have a crutch stick. Only slight surprise is that the whole place is card payment only. Toilets are beautifully clean. Seems much better now the indoor seating area has been extended.
S. D.
Great place, everyone was friendly and helpful. We did pick your own Pearl for £35 and they tell you about the Pearl, it was valued at £90! You can also purchase a bracelet for your Pearl. Dog friendly and a really lovely cafe. You can also eat outside and enjoy the view.
T.
Great shop, loved the fruit scone and butter pot of tea very good prices not hyped up like the rest around. Purchased a pearl neckless for my partner again excellent price. Lady who served us was very nice unlike the women making asked a question seemed a bit funny towards my question Silly caused she missed out of a large order. Never judge a silly question it would had made you a big order.
J. B.
We did the Pick a Pearl experience with assistant Liam, who was fantastic and very knowledgeable.
Great location for a cream tea with lovely sea views, reasonably priced items and a unique treasure to take home from your island trip. Definitely worth going.
M. G.
Really interesting place to visit, even if your not into pearls 😏 very knowledgeable staff and they all look so smart 😊 Mrs G has had the grandchildren pick out a couple of oysters and both times the pearls inside have been pretty big !! Will be having the set into a ring at some point 🙂
M. J.
Very nice place. Perfect walking destination from Freshwater Bay. Nice, friendly atmosphere, beautiful interiors and surroundings. Good quality tasty food and reasonable prices. Recommend!
C. P.
Fantastic week away, weather was lovely, so scenic and peaceful
D. E. (.
Visited here for a lunch with my mum and Nan. Really lovely food, with speed service and good prices. The beautiful display of pearls is a wonder to see, but need to provide more male jewelry on display. One bracelet and 3 cuff links is not sufficient enough.
J. S.
Second visit (first was over 10 years ago). Experience was diminished due to Covid, with less to see and do. Still able to buy some remarkable jewellery and see (in part) how it's made. Nice cafe and garden area, but not particularly child friendly. Plenty of free parking.
J. B.
Very well laid out shop with plenty of information also. Worth a visit.
f. h.
Well worth a visit. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly. £40 to pick your own pearl.
k. b.
Enjoyed the pearl. Staff are very informed about how they are produced.and different types of pearls.very informative
M. C.
Loved it got my 1st Xmas present 🎁 from my fella
L. F.
Great setting if you are looking for something free to do. Browse the jewellery shop, enjoy a drink and snack inside or out. Fantastic views and you can also take a walk around and down to the beach.
J. Y.
We stopped here for lunch whilst walking the Coastal Path. It had a nice selection of food and drink. Service was fast and we had a lovely view whilst eating. Would recommend.
J. T.
Good collection of pearls. Nice view from the shop
S. P.
Doing their cafe up so tad noisy at moment. Not as expensive as you expect! Got loads of nice stuff!
M. P.
Lovely collection of jewellery to suit all tastes and amazing diversity of pearls!
S. L.
Nice cafe but I bit expensive in my opinion.
D. W.
Stunning place, lots to see and do.
A. W.
Lovely place with a very good assortment of pearls. You can pick your own clam in a pool of water which are guaranteed to contain a pearl and you can then have this pearl placed in a piece of jewlery. There is a good choice of design but, if you want, you can design your own. Great place to visit.
S. H.
Great customer service. Beautiful place and has so many pearl collection.
J. G.
Set in one of the most scenic parts of the Isle of Wights coast, the pearl factory is well worth a visit. The car park is large enough to cope with year round visitor levels and bays big enough for large SUV's. The showroom is well presented with pearl jewelry to suit all tastes and budgets. The on site cafe has a good selection and the bonus in the warmer weather of the outside seating with great views of the coastline leading towards the Needles.
L. B.
Always a lovely visit. The cafe serves the loveliest cakes and the jewellery is so pretty!
A. Z.
I bet it has seen better days. Cafe food is mediocre.
A. S.
Lovely place, want some Pearl's, bring plenty of £££££££££££££. Worth a visit.
T. E.
Surprisingly I found quite a few lovely items! Four stars only because we had to come back to exchange my pearl earrings due to tiny scratch we haven't noticed. However, the return was easy. Gpdat customer service.
C. L.
I love this place, the staff are chatty, friendly & helpful, the cafe has lovely things to eat, this time unlike other visits I bought myself 2 beautiful necklaces with one a small pearl on one necklace & 2 small pearls on the other, you don't have to buy anything with pearls there is other beautiful jewellery, well worth a visit, going back next year
A. D.
Some useful information on how pearls are formed. It's basically a shop and I thought it would more of an experience than just a shop. Was hoping to see more on how they were actually made, e.g pictures of the oysters being farmed and pictures/ drawing of the different stages as the pearl is made inside the oyster, and maybe videos of the process of not possible to see in person. It's £35 to choose your own oyster and watch them open and extract the pearl for you. Quite above my price range when you're not even sure what colour or shape the pearl may come out. Cheapest jewellery for sale was £65 for a child's bracelet.
V. E.
Isle of Wight Pearl is situated close to Freshwater, with views of gorgeous ocean all along one side of the building, aided by huge windows all along the wall. Perfect backdrop for Pearl shopping! The displays are beautiful just to look at, the cafe serves both snack foods and more substantial meals.
G. M.
Very good, ordering on line for birthday.

The pick a pearl station is fantastic. We were hosted by Helen (assistant manager (I don't know if there is another one)). She was amazing. Friendly, Kind , Funny and knowledgeable. Our pearls were apparently very rare and she knew every detail and valued them for us. She really set the mood for the whole day. Nice food and gorgeous view.
P. B.
Beautiful, cost me a small fortune 😢👍

I went to IOW Pearl for my birthday for a meal on the 18.05.2021 with my family and the first time I've been, it is a lovley place. The staff are polite and very helpful. The premises are very clean and with plenty of space. My meal was outstanding and would definitely dine there again.
C. R.
I visited as I was about to drive past and stopped for hot choc and cake. Both of which were delicious. The view was amazing. Some beautiful pearl jewellery items were on offer if you had money to spend.
A. S.
Lovely cafe, great view!!
T. H.
Very good service will use them again
D. C.
We didn't eat here in the end as the menu was unappealing and over priced. The restaurant felt more of a cheap greasy spoon compared to the rest of the venue which has a more sophisticated feel to it
L. F.
I had very nice brunch, it was their breakfast scones, consisting of 2 eggs on 2 cheese scones and baked beans with a pot of tea.
J. H. R.
A large building dedicated to pearls and their uses, rings, bracelets, necklaces and similar. Attached is the pearl restaurant/cafe. Beautiful views over the sea.
I. M.
Great place our wives loved it. As husbands maybe not so . Lovely views nice cafe good access to all.
L. B.
Beautiful place with so much choice
n. w.
We got there a bit late in day but staff was very pleasant and helpful.
J. J.
One of my favourite places to visit in IOW. The staff here are always so helpful and polite in the main shop. Very caring and attentive. Stunning displays and quality items. Love the ear studs I purchased. The Princess Diana display on entry I love to see every time 😍 ❤. Cafe was pleasant with tasty food and drinks. The only recommendation would be to have a check on number of customers in the store. During Covid-19 and social distance many customers did not have respect for this and got too close at times. Perhaps staff need to be aware of how many were in or set a limit etc.
M. M.
Lovely well presented shop and cafe .plenty of fine jewlery on display .. with stunning views .
I. G.
This is a hidden gem in every sense. The pearls and jewellery are awesome with fascinating facts and very affordable. And the restaurant is brilliant - very tasty food and drink with wonderful friendly service. When every other restaurant from Freshwater to Ventnor said they were fully booked for the next 4 days the Isle of Wight Pearl Cafe produced a warm welcome, tables available and scrumptious fish and chips. Thank you.
G. I.
Nice products, a little underwhelming, they could make a lot more of the process/gathering of the pearls
C. M.
Food nicely presented but let down on the sliced bread with our ploughmans
K. M.
Incredible place! Great food and excellent service with stunning views. Absolutely recommend!
C. R.
As always met with a friendly happy to be there member of staff...Good food and quick service..the weather was on our side today..beautiful view.
Oop we started our Christmas shopping on the way out...Good luck for the season Pearl.
S. R.
Lovely place with attentive service when you need it. Prices to suit all. 50th anniversary collection yielded some contemporary collections just right for our (Covid delayed) Pearl Anniversary. Husband points scored thank you!
L. d.
A very interesting place to visit in more ways than one. The factory and psuedo-museum is very interesting, and there are a wide range of products to buy. Prices are a little high, but this is expected given the handcraftred nature of the items. There is a coffee shop which offers a decent selection of food items, but again could be pricey. The surrounding roads offer an excellent view of the scenery, so may be worth a visit as you are exploring the coast line.
S. C.
You can't now get a cooked breakfast here.
Staff normally efficient but not so today
S. O.
Lovely views, very nice food in the cafe and a nice afternoon out. Not really so much for energetic children, I know my son would get bored. Thoroughly enjoyed looking at the pearls and range of jewellery which can be bought. Various prices some extremely expensive but beautiful!!
A. S.
Jewellery is mostly expensive, couldn't see much for children. Lovely outdoor seating area for cafe. Homemade cakes, others all enjoyed, mine was burnt, top and bottom and hidden by icing sugar☹️. Used to be other little craft shops but not there now. You can still choose your own pearl etc
S. M.
I took my Mum to the Pearl Cafe for her birthday today. Our table reservation card had a little birthday candle stuck to it. The Front of House staff did the Happy Birthday song in the style of "Love Actually" where the waiter help up cards with the lyrics while I did the singing. Mum also received a complimentary piece of cake, and my greyhound was supplied with water and home made dog biscuits. The staff of the Pearl Cafe are always friendly and go above and beyond with their customer service which is why it is our favourite place for a meal out. Well done!
J. P.
If you go with your wife or partner could cost you a bit
Z. W.
Fantastic choice, excellent quality. I came away with a beautiful pearl ring at an amazing price with 30% off. Each time I visit the IOW, Isle of Wight Pearl is a must.
E. H.
Never bought anything from here but great coffee stop
J. T.
Beautiful setting. Some beautiful jewellery.
M. S.
Large choice of reasonable priced jewellery based around Pearl's
B. W.
Love the cafe here, with beautiful views over the English Channel and access to the beach below. Their gluten free quiche is bloody lovely... Oh and obviously a big shop full of pearl jewelry. 👍
L. M.
Was treated to a beautiful belated pearl anniversary necklace and earrings. Gorgeous.
G. E.
Just visited but had lunch in restaurant. Jewellery expensive.
E. J.
Lovely place. My friend bought three bracelets after fishing her pearls out. Another friend bought the pearl and lapis bracelet. Scone and coffee was perfect.
P. H.
Unique shop on the south coast of the IoW. Nice shopping experience, very helpful staff (and lots of them). Everything was set out nicely in the store, which is quiet large and has panoramic views of the coastline. The store has an interconnecting cafe. Plenty of free parking too.
S. J.
Always one of our favourite places to visit
p. r.
Only went there for the recommended cream tea, which was excellent. Nice grassed outside area with patio tables with views of the coastline. Ample free parking. Large selection of pearl jewellery if that's what floats your boat.
C. G.
Came here for my birthday and did the "pick a pearl" experience. Chose an oyster from a pool in the shop and I got a pearl inside that I then had placed into a piece of jewellery. My only issue was that there is some glue residue on the pearl which I cannot get off and it can be noticed when looking at the pearl closely. A nice souvenir of our trip to IOW.
M. H.
Amazing place, great cafe! Would highly recommend pick a pearl!
C. F.
Lovely place, staff very helpful but not pushy, but very knowledgeable about the pearls. Lovely cafe that didn't cost the earth, loved it
K. P.
Beautiful location with awesome views. The jewellery selection is pretty. The coffee house was good. Overall, really nice place. Not sure its kid friendly which is why it did not get five stars.
M.
Love the views and the cafe provides a good refreshment stop when out for a drive
W. L.
Great food and views with the added attraction of a good quality jewellers.
C. T.
A nice shop floor and a good café, if you are going as a couple expect to leave with some pearls...
D. K.
Wonderful sea view, beautiful pearl jewellery to suit all price ranges. The cakes are scrummy and although we didn't try the hot food it looked very good and not too expensive. A big bonus for us was it is dog friendly.
J. R.
Lovely place with a spectacular view a must be a pleasure to go to work. My husband bought me a 3 piece set for my 50th of the Edison collection. Cafe very nice and staff too. The lady who served me in the jewellery shop was lovely too.
Happy 30th anniversary.
T. V.
Beautiful food and great staff 😀
D. C.
It's nice for something to do. Lovely tea room offering hot & cold meals and drinks. Great views over the ocean. Can get busy in summer and parking is limited.
p.
Brilliant store. As they are renowned for their pearls I bought the wife one which she picked and had made into a necklace. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and happy to explain how the pearl grows and advise you and how to keep it looking great. We had a fantastic service.
M. C. C.
Learnt a lot about Pearl's and fell in love with pink Pearl's.
V. C.
I love this place it was 1 of the places I wanted to visit the most, however we arrived to find that the pick a pearl is out of stock and they are not expecting delivery until after we leave so we left feel very disappointed. It would of been nice if they could have put this on their website oflr Facebook before we visited
F. F. H.
Amazing pearl collection with fantastic view!
S. C.
We took our mums to islI of Wight pearl for a mother's Day lunch. The food was delicious and very well presented. We were made very welcome, and although they were very busy, nothing was too much trouble. The young man that looked after us was very nice, and very funny. I would definitely recommend this place for a good variety of food.
d.
Really enjoyed our morning here. Had tea and cake outside & admired the gorgeous views. Even came away with a wonderful pearl pendant for our Pearl wedding anniversary.
T. R.
Driving from Freshwater to this location along the Military Road is very scenic. Set in a beautiful place overlooking the Sea. Well worth going for a coffee just to see the views. The shop is very impressive with beautiful jewelry
K. S.
On isle of Wight with a bus company, took us here for 2-3 hrs. Lovely place. Beautiful jewelry. , With a range of prices to suit all. Best of all, for £20, you can fish out an oyster shell from a little open tank on a desk, with a small fishing net, and right in front of you they will open it and measure and grade it, mine is worth £55. They also have facilities to add it to a piece of jewellery of your choice,or bag it all up with its authenticity details to take home. Very friendly, would go again.
E. H.
Great place for X-mas and birthday present.
For last 3years my husband buying something for me. Love this place.
A.
The café is good with friendly staff. Apparently it's good for gluten-free food, but in my opinion it needs a vegan snack as well as a vegan meal, not just for vegans but also for people with allergies to dairy, eggs or shellfish, etc. The views are amazing.
K. H.
Fantastic afternoon spent at Isle of Wight Pearl. Lunch was very tasty. Thoroughly recommend eating here.
Staff friendly and great service.
Jane was very imformative about the Pearls which we picked. Great day out for all ages!
S. S.
This area is a beautiful space to just sit and relax. You can also buy food and drinks there from a Cafeteria inside the main area, where you can relax and sit outside with your food and enjoy the sea view. There is also a Chocolate Shop situated in the main parking area, with an array of beautiful produce from the Island, as well as a Chilli Shop stocking an array of different chillies
B. H.
Very nice place to visit.
J. l.
Lovely shop price range from £15 to hundreds lovely styles
L. T.
I have just had a pearl necklace lengthened and restrung, despite being told it would take 3 weeks my Pearl's were ready and posted back to me in less than a week and at a very fair price.
Excellent service, a special thank you to Sara Melody for all her help. Many Thanks.
W.
Fantastic views from the Café. Fine selection of cakes, including gluten free. The food here is excellent. Plenty of seating available. Even has a few alcoholic options! 🎈
J. A.
Customer service assistants could be more welcoming: had the sense they were only interested in people of a certain age or big spenders. Why oh why they allow fried food in the cafe without decent ventilation is beyond me - the coastal views are stunning and the experience would be so enhanced with some corresponding sea air.
V. B.
Gave 4 Stars due to location, else variety is very less but you can it customized or can even see live pearl extracted from shell
J. T.
I would like to thank Liam for his amazing service. I lost the centre out of one of my earrings. I returned them, with a copy of the bank statement on Thursday 4th March, and I received a new pair by post, on the morning of the 6th. In time for my birthday on 8th. Cannot thank you enough 😊
H. J. A.
It just a big jewellery shop, However I did make a purchase, I went in the hope there would be a guide to talk us through history of pearls etc, a few bits in the hall on the way in, but nit much, there is a cafe
M. B.
Wow awesome place to buy your pearls
M. S.
The shop was stunning. The view was amazing.
Jewellery was desirable.
Pity the sweaty ramblers thought it was the public urinals.
R. H.
Really nice range of jewellery from cheaper simple single items to more exquisite multiple items. Really nice food in the café.
P. H.
4 of us all picked a pearl, an amazing experience! Pauline was lovely and so knowledgeable!
O. G.
Some lovely pieces of jewellery to look at and things to learn. We had a nice cup of tea and sat on a sofa and looked out at the sea for a while. We didn't make a purchase, nor did we go in intending to do so. A pleasant way to spend an hour.
K. V.
I made the journey to IOW especially to see if they can match a pearl I got from there years before 🤞 so far very helpful!
P. D.
If you like pearls then this is your place. Nothing cheap n cheerful to keep kids occupied though I think the least expensive thing we spotted was £65. Cafe looked ok with nice views. Good car park
S. R.
Brilliant place. We loved picking an oyster with our children and having the friendly staff member finding the pearl and cleaning it, then grading it. A very interesting experience.
Brought back fond childhood memories.
G.
Most women would... should love to see Diana's dress of pearls, also to purchase something a little something special for yourself.
r. b.
The staff are very helpful with what to buy. Good product knowledge. As a bonus the Cafe is good too.
C. S.
Interesting little gem on the Isle of Wight! Lovely selection of jewelry and a quaint little cafe with coffee, cakes and other goodies. They have a "pick your own pearl" section that seemed popular with the kids and the outdoor area in the summer is pristine. Not a far drive from compton beach and just an overall lovely business.
R. C.
Beautiful stunning shop and exquisite scenery over looking coast
M. R.
Lovely place. Spoke to a very helpful lady, she was very knowledgable. Definitely worth a visit
S. A.
Rather expensive, but did buy a nice set. Cafe very good and friendly.
M. S.
Cafeteria is worth a visit food really good standard but the indoor restaurant could do with some atmosphere and a clean floor.
Beautiful setting.
M. F.
Unique and delightful place. Stunning original pearl jewellery, an amazing location perched over the sea, and a very decent café restaurant. Add in plenty of parking, and you have the makings of a singular and unmissable day out, unlike anywhere else I can think of.
r. f.
Excellent, well worth a visit. Great prices and really helpful staff. Never new there was so much to know about pearls!
A. A.
Worth going for the incredible drive from Freshwater along Military Road to Bembridge, let alone Pearl Factory, very nice lunch etc.
J. M.
A super place to visit not only for browsing the beautiful pearls of all shapes, sizes and colours but also to enjoy the beautiful coastal view from the cafe as you can sit inside or out according to the weather. The staff are very helpful and readily give explanations of the quality of each pearl.Alongside Isle of Wight Pearl, there are a few smaller shops to browse in and be tempted to purchase , especially the chocolate shop!
T. T.
Excellent experience we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary (pearl) so to be able to pick a pearl and have it made in necklace was the most amazing thing and really made our day very memorable the staff were great and very knowledgeable perfect day
r. b.
Visit several times a year and never fails to disappoint, lovely staff n lovely cafe with excellent sea view. My only bug bear is food a bit pricey and coffee more expensive than most places which stops me buying it!
K. B.
Great experience....you can pick an oyster £35 and the pearl taken out from the oyster regardless of value and size is yours to keep.
S. M. D.
Went to the I.O.W for a winter break. Received a five pounds discount voucher given to us at the hotel so popped along to have a look. on arrival found that we had arrived in the middle of the annual Christmas tree festival. craft groups schools and local charities decorate trees and are then displayed in the pearl shop and around the local area. Free parking and park and ride available to view the trees in the local area. So spent the voucher had tea and cake in the café at the pearl shop and viewed an amazing collection of Christmas tree designs, all in all had a delightful few hours.
T. D.
Great range of prices with friendly staff and good Cafe attached.
R. T.
Nicely laid out. Friendly staff. Chose to "pick a pearl". The shells come from Japanese waters. You fish for one then it is opened in front of you. It is measured and valued. You can take it away or have it set into a piece of jewellery. Lovely experience
m. b.
Some more modern styles of jewellery now.Nice cafe.
P. G.
This is lovely place to visit. Even if you don't intend to buy anything. A nice drive along the military road. The location, set on the cliffs affords some beautiful views of the IOW. The jewellery here is obviously pearl related. I personally didn't realise how many different colours of pearls there were. There's something here for all budgets. Some really unusual designs too. There's a pick a pearl section that you can have your chosen pearl placed into a setting. This was very popular. The staff are all very knowledgeable and friendly. As always there's the ubiquitous tea room / Cafe, so you can refresh as necessary. The car park is large and the building has no access issues.
D. B.
Not only a fabulous range of contemporary jewellery but a great Cafe and an incredible view out across the channel. It's a pretty spectacular drive to reach 'The Pearl's too!
T. S.
Cafe is lovely, staff are really friendly and polite. Food is very nice
M. H.
Very nice cream tea!
L. B. W.
We visited here several times last year whilst on holiday and were always made to feel extremely welcome. My dad is disabled and has had strokes and as a result is blind so he gets very anxious when out and about. The centre staff were very accommodating and included him in every conversation we all had with them despite him being unable to see or understand very well. We purchased "My First Pearl" earrings amongst other things and unfortunately 3 months after returning home my daughter lost one of them. I called the centre and asked if I could order a pair over the telephone and arrange delivery back to the mainland which they very kindly did and delivery was received with 3 days of my call. My daughter (and I) was so happy, such a small thing for the staff to do but it made a very sad little girl very happy! Fantastic cafe, views from every point at the centre and fantastic customer service. We'll be back next week for more! Keep up the great work!
J. B.
A lovely place to visit. Beautiful pearl jewelry and very friendly helpful staff. Worth going for the café and views
S. P.
Absolutely fantastic, staff extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Set in some lovely scenery and a wealth of information available
C. W.
Lovely displays. Loads if parking. Cafe well stocked but perhaps little expensive (coffee and sandwich just over £10) although absolutely delicious.
K. C.
Just one big shop really. Nothing to see except a replica of Lady Diana's dress and a view out to sea. There's a normal cafe, a chocolate indulgent cafe called Chocolate Island and lots of pearl-related jewellery ranging from a few pounds to nearly £5000. Blindfold the wife/gf for the best experience.
D. P.
Everything on the Isle of Wight is worth a visit and here it's great for photos of the coast. The jewellery is out of this world Don't forget to stop and have a superb meal from all their great staff. But remember the camera .Best wishes to them all David
C. H.
What a place to visit. Buy some beautiful hand made jewellery, for the one you love. Or for a special occasion, for a close/special friends birthday. Or just purchase a gift, for a dear relative. Or you can just have a look round and make comments. Such as "How much, you can ffff forget that, for a game of soldiers" or "You can buy a cracking 2nd hand car for that price". Or go and have something to eat in the cafe, if theirs a few of you. When you come to pay the bill, you can sit and fume, thinking. "I wish I'd bought that ring now". No matter what you think, it is worth every penny you spend. Just for the experience and the views from the cafe are, fabulous. Coaches are more than welcome.
H. M.
There is much enjoyable scenery here to enjoy, with a decent cafe for a quiet relaxing time, there's alot to learn here about the different pearls and a great "pick your own Oyster" experience. Furthermore we purchased jewelry from here a couple of years ago and unfortunately the pearl broke off the holder on the ring, they were more than happy to set the pearl back in place even after a couple of years.
L. H.
Second visit and spent a fortune as my husband and son treated me to 50th birthday gifts! Genuine friendly helpful service. Huge range of products to choose from, you can choose from pre-made gifts, design your own, or purchase oysters to be opened on site, which they value and give you a certificate for. Many very reasonably priced quality items. Great cafe and views, copy of one of Lady Diana's pearl beaded dresses, plus additionally a chocolate shop now open on the same site. Parking on site. Definitely recommend a visit.
E. J.
Lovely staff, very knowledgeable about the pearls. Restaurant was great! Delicious food and good service. I will be back.
L. W.
Good trip With friendly staff purchased a pick your own pearl for a fair price. Altho little disappointed to find they are not in original shells so clearly been sorted 1st.
C. S.
A very pleasant, well laid out store selling jewelry featuring pearls both cultured and man made. Features a workshop making some of the items sold.
There is also a café with sea views, a conservatory and outside seating serving a wide range of hot drinks, delicious cakes and light lunches.
m. D.
Nice collection of pearl jewellery, but we expected a Oyster farm to get the live pearls - little bit disappointed
J.
Lovely place. Had a decaffe tea in their cafe. Place was clean, tidy and well laid out. Jewellery was reasonable priced as was the food and drink in the cafe. Staff were helpful and friendly.
J. D.
Popped into the coffee shop at the back, great stop off after a nice walk
Y. M.
We found Isle of Wight pearl to be a beautiful destination for buying pearl jewellery, the staff are very gracious and the jewellery is stunning. The entire place set on some very nice grounds and is quite educational. Highly recommended if you're on the Isle.
S. S.
Very well presented showroom with lovelyl jewellery, including some gorgeous bespoke designs and high quality pearls, freshwater and cultured. Lovely cafe as well as a homemade chocolate shop onsite. Well worth a visit.
J. S.
Good place to visit , but all payments are by card only
T. L.
Not much to do here, but a nice place to stop and admire the views with a slice of cake and a coffee and then a little look round the pearl jewellery before visiting the chocolate shop and going back to the car. The views really are lovely
F. H.
Nice calm shopping experience , beautiful jewellery and friendly staff . Pearl fishing for those who would like to have a lucky dip , and a lovely cafe to enjoy a sit down with views and cake .
I.
Nice , beautiful pearls
M. P.
Lovely place to walk around..some lovely things to bug..cream tee yummy and the location is beautiful right in front of the sea
J. P.
Amazing, unique place. The pearl master class was very interesting and informative. The staff have genuine passion for their profession. Some thing to suit all tastes and budgets.
a. d.
Good service, very friendly and happy for us to have the dog in with us while eating. A good clean well run cafe
G. S.
If you like Pearl's this is definitely worth a visit. If you are accompanying someone who is the the Cafe is good with lovely views
A. H.
Interesting selection of pearls. Excellent restaurant with pleasant staff.
M. T.
As always the views here are fabulous...I would say that today the cakes were not very nice and not sure why we had to practically beg for sugar...a customer should have the right to have however much sugar they wish....
C. H.
Always find something to buy! Great place to visit. Well worth having a coffee and enjoying it looking at the views over the sea
R. n. J. R.
Lovely macaroni cheese and Croque Monsiure today. Friends had their little dog with them and she even got home made doggy biscuits 😉
Lovely service
G. K.
Not impressed over all on the one hand and a positive my daughter got a pop bracelet and loves it and the floor staff tried to help as much as possible but. I tried to buy my wife a black or darker pearl ring as she already has the normal perl rings but they did not do any of the rings in her size. I offered to pay whatever it took to have 1 of the rings my wife chose made to her size and the answer the line manager came back with was no and no more help was offered unless we wanted a white perl and then they would do it ???????? Lost money and they pretty much could have named their price.
Thank you for your response. Unfortunately we were not given the option to have the rings that were on offer sized up as the rings were an "R" and my wife was an "S" please can you leave an email where I can contact you about ordering a ring in an "S" or having an "R" re sized. Thank you
m. c.
Wonderful place to visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the pearls and the jewellery are stunning. The views are beautiful, I would definitely recommend a visit!
J. M.
Excellent place to stop for a bite to eat. The food is very fresh and the staff are extremely helpful. Of course there's a large range of pearls as well!! Views are wonderful
A. B.
Had a very nice meal in the cafe and the staff were very friendly/helpful plus the place was spotless I'm glad not see big dirty bins outside like you do at a lot of places these days.
L. B.
Nice and roomy, with a good selection of jewelry.
The pricing was fine.....not too hefty!
Tea room has a good selection of snacks and meals, for adults and kids.
M. S.
We stopped here out of curiosity. We were not looking to buy pearls but if we were there were lots of choice from £28 to £5,800. Yes, we played find the most expensive item. The find your own pearl seemed popular.
F. K.
Gorgeous views and gorgeous pearls. Exactly what is needed in an awesome place. Will revisit to check out the cafe
M. B.
Very helpful, nothing to much trouble and extremely pleasant curtious and polite.
Had an issue with a ring purchased 15 month ago and they rectified it within 10 minutes
. Excellent service throughout our visit
w.
Great place invested in pick an oyster and have your pearl valued. Well chuffed my 8 year old picked a shell containing a blue pearl worth £70 love it..
S. K.
Staff can't do enough for you. Beautiful stock. Cafe great.
P. D.
What a wonderful visit, such lovely friendly ladies staff so helpful. It was my 70th Birthday and was spoilt wicked by my husband! Bought pink pearl hanging on silver chain with a set of pink pearl studs and a larger pink stud with cz. Lovely day!
D. G.
Enjoy taking the kids there so they can pick a pearl. Have been there 3 times & each time jewellery & styles have varied so not for everyone's liking. But nice to look round
B.
Have been here each year for last 4. Bought beautiful necklaces and earrings but wife & daughter always "Pick a Pearl" oyster each to open, have the 'surprise' pearl inside sized, valued / certified / guaranteed & valued (then have them fitted into mounts on chains etc back home) but having gone up in price from £17 per oyster chosen to £18 last year and a ridiculous increase to £25 this year !!!!! Last visit I'm afraid.......
M. B.
Always friendly, and never had a problem with any purchase. The cafe has lovely food aswell so you can have a nice cold drink with a bite to eat after shopping
S. C.
If you like pearls it's beautiful. Lots of different styles of jewellery and many lovely colour tones
M. H.

C. T.

P. D.
Lovely staff and some great value items, if you shop around. Great coffee
S. C.
The service by the lady when buying my pearls was so lovely but shocked in the cafe the staff not wearing masks or gloves when serving food felt unsafe visitor's were too close when waiting to be served its a pity because the shop very professional until u enter the cafe
C. K.
Wife brought some jewellery. We visited the restaurant where I had a full English, delicious while wife had a bacon roll which she enjoyed, lovely place.
D. Y.
Lots of necklaces, bracelets, rings etc. Lovely staff and a lovely view onto the cliffs. Great cafe and cakes. The Pick your Own Pearl stand is a unique and fun part of the IOW Pearl
A.
Absolutely beautiful! Amazing place, great prices and things to do! (Pick-a-pearl and other activities). My fiancèe adored it and worth every penny! 100% recommend!!

Lovely relaxed place. Nice setting, friendly helpful staff. Beautiful pearls..sad husbands 😂
K. M.
Brilliant, great value for money. I got 2 pearls in my shell. Beautiful mounting too
P. A.
Very interesting worth a visit
M.
This is mostly a jewellery shop with a difference. It's the difference that makes it special. You get to "fish" for an oyster for a set price and you get to keep the pearl inside and can have it made into a piece of jewellery for an extra cost if you wish. The clam shells you fish for are previously emptied and filled with a pearl, then glued closed, so you are not killing the animal when doing this. You can get a variety of pearls from them, my mum got a pink one of good size, I got a, slightly larger, silver pearl. Both were valued at more than the cost of "fishing" for them. It was a lot of fun choosing and opening your oyster, to see what you get, with a real pearl as the prize for playing!
S. C.
Very knowledgable and helpful staff. Loved the chance to 'pick a pearl' and have it made into a piece of jewellery. The tearoom.does a lovely cream tea and has stunning views.
M. N.
The products are great and their cafe is not too bad. Could do with a few more staff as they were a bit slow in the cafe.
P. M.
Great service, plenty of room to view the items, cafe for refreshments, staff very helpful
C. “. H.
Had a look around very nice jewelry bought my wife a pearl ring a had s really good breakfast in the cafe.
B. T.
Enjoyed visit to pearl factory plenty of parking places lovely selection of quality pearl jewellery and a lovely cafe friendly helpful staff all ready to give advice if needed well worth a visit
T. D.
Very helpful staff and friendly
R. S.
Very nice selection of pearl based items - went for the Christmas tree festival. Not thrilled with the layout or the long empty corridor to get in, or the gambit to get into the cafe, but nice otherwise
K. J.
Isle of Wight Pearl is well worth a visit but beware that it's NOT cheap in there but the pearls are of a VERY GOOD quality I did treat myself as I don't think I'd be going back to the isle of Wight, there is wheelchair access & toilets available, there is a cafe, the view from the shop is a big lawn leading to the top of a cliff overlooking the sea WONDERFULL.

It has changed so much since I was last here, of course prices have gone up since I got anything. But it is a beautiful place to come if you want to treat yourself to some wonderful looking pearls
J. R.
Too many pairs of beautiful earrings. I was in my element 😁
J. E.
Beautiful and informative about different types and colours of pearls. Never realised how expensive pearls can be. Can also pick your own clam and keep the pearl, is a little expensive but a cool one off thing to do. Bracelets like friendship style are available with a pearl which is nice for younger adults.

Always a good place to visit for jewellery and always have individual new designs . The site also has IOW Garlic Farm products plus The Chillie Farm products. The restaurant produces an excellent range of food to cater for all tastes
C. J.
Nice cafe. Be more interesting if there was a guide telling you about the pearls instead of just pushing sales
P. C.
We both enjoyed cream teas and the dining experience was impeccable regards Cath and Phil
A.
Nice place to visit but some pearls are very expensive they have cheaper ones for sale not sure if they are good value.
You can view Princess Diana Dress covered in pearls.
Or you can learn all the different types of pearls.
Have Tea and Coffee cakes or visit the other shops around the area where you can see dinosaur bones and fossil's.

If you are into pearls then it's worth a visit. Jewellery is made on the premises classical and modern pieces . I'm not a lover of Pearls but somehow I ended up buying a modern design a matching necklace and earrings.

We recently visited the Isle of Wight Pearl while on holiday and both myself and my daughter opened oysters to get the pearls. The man that served us was really friendly and helpful and had a good knowledge of the pearls. He was able to answer all of our questions and we found the whole experience enjoyable and educational. We would definitely recommend opening an oyster!
B. W.
Enjoyed seeing the pearl shop also a good coffee shop with excellent customer service
D. r.
Fun to visit and you can always open a pearl and be surprised.

If you like pearls this is the place to go. There's a large selection of pearl jewellery, a replica of one of Princess Diana's dresses and a tea room.
S. L.
Nice but slightly overpriced for the tourist.
Beware the pick a pearl....! Nice as a present, but with the price and the setting it's very expensive. Instead save your money and use it elsewhere like a pair of earrings.
J. C.
Really beautiful jewellery and delicious food served in cafe that caters for all tastes and dietary requirements . Staff all very attentive and helpful, well worth a visit.

Not quite as good as it used to be, feels like it is struggling. In short it needs some investments and a bit more choice. The cafe does serve good cakes and coffee.
S. L.
A great couple of hours spent around the shop. An ideal place to buy your lived one a beautiful gift.
A. S.
Beautiful place with gorgeous view but I personally believe that needs more choices for entairtenment.

J. C. L.
a good place to stop on the military rd on the way to or from West Wight - some wonderful scenery along the route with photo op. places.
IOW Pearl has loads of...Pearls. Also there's a café on site & an outside area (more pics)
you can buy an oyster & take a chance on what size / colour pearl is inside (there's definitely one, because they've all been x-rayed) - you can then have the pearl mounted onto your choice of jewellery.
H. T.
