An interesting way to spend half an hour. Not originally a true lighthouse, but a leading light it doesn't have some of the infrastructure of some lighthouses. For example it doesn't come with some of the problems (horror) of Fang Rock. But the lantern room is beautiful and the volunteers polite and knowledgeable.

I had a lovely visit to Happisburgh lighthouse with a guided tour by the friends of the lighthouse. It is an amazing building with a wealth of history, being the only privately owned lighthouse, with awesome views up and down the coastline and the countryside behind Happisburgh. The stairs, 112 of them, wind up round the inside of the buildings and are quite small but it is well worth it when you reach the top. It also has a small museum on the history and gift shop on the ground level.

A wonderful experience to be able to climb inside a lighthouse. Not too scary especially once you reach the top. Very knowledgeable staff and great with the older kids (have to be 115cm to climb).
P. S. R.
Beautiful lighthouse on the cliffs, car park on site and beautiful beach. Pity we couldn’t go up as it’s a functioning one (which I didn’t know), and only allowed in certain dates.
v. w.
Great little find and photo opportunities galore here on the eastern coast of Norfolk. We had a tour and enjoyed the views from the top. The WWII bunkers and new playground were a nice bonus.
E.
Perfect, impressive lighthouse. Tours available on select sundays throughout summer. Fab photos always. Yes it is a working lighthouse, funded entirely by donations. So well kept and historically significant, having been there since 1700s!
I. P.
Sadly, we're losing this stretch of coastline to erosion at what appears to be quite a rate - take heed of the safety barriers, but that aside, a great location to stop for a walk, picnic off the well constructed car park, and take snaps of the lighthouse.
Car parking (plenty) isn't too expensive, no app options when we went but card and coin payments accepted. Screen was a bit poor on the machine though. On site toilets which were reasonably clean and well appointed.
Children's adventure play ground alongside a local area history trail. Go down the coast along the beach to see the sand martins swooping in and out of the cliff top. At the far end, climb up the dune to reach the cliff top walk along the farmers field and explore the look-out bunkers on the edge and in land near the lighthouse. Watch the edge of the path and keep dogs and children under control up there.
From the top from the car park cliff top watch out for the seals basking in the shallows!
Warning: the road to the car park and the entrance to the car park is narrow! Nearby road closed signs are there for a reason - there is no longer any road beyond that point.

Me and my children went to the lighthouse open day today and it was amazing. We've got greeted by a very lovely gentleman who guided us in and a lovely lady inside who explained a few things and directed us up the stairs. We then got greeted by another gentleman who was very knowledgeable about the lighthouse itself and it's surroundings.
I would strongly recommend this place for a visit. We certainly had a lovely time
L. M.
Brought our 6 year old to visit whilst on holiday as recently learnt about Grace Darling at school. She thoroughly enjoyed the tour to the top and even her dad enjoyed it as was his first time going up a lighthouse too!! Tour guide very informative and interacted well with our daughter who was only child on tour. Well worth the money only cost £8 for 1 adult and 1 child. Highly recommended 😊
B. B.
Beautiful building, privately owned but great for photos. There is also a ww2 pillbox beside it but watch your head when entering (speaking from experience! Haha)
L. C.
Lovely little stop off with a good little park for kids, toilets and a ramp down to the beach. The lighthouse is lovely to look at but the path doesn't go all the way around and there's not a lot going on really. The parking meter was also broken so we could only pay on card for which there is a minimum charge of 2 hours. There are some information boards about historical findings in the area which were quite interesting to read.
H. R.
Great views. Amazing building, fabulous history. Not suitable for very young kids or the elderly. No good if you are scared of heights.
M. W.
Beautifull spot with nice playground toilets and beach. Beware of the cliff edge when walking down to the beach! (especially for small children)
D. B.
A rare treat, being to the top of the lighthouse. Not for the fainthearted. The spiral staircase is quite something.
S. H.
I am from Happisburgh, so have grown up with this beautiful building. It is iconic. It is open to the public to climb on various dates through the summer. The views are well worth the climb.
C. W.
lovely sea views, very nice area
T. L.
The area around the Lighthouse is beautiful. I love this place for taking pictures... There is a playground for little ones, and big (paid 😭) parking lot.
S. W.
So refreshing and peaceful. Good parking and great views. Mind you watch the cliff edge not advisable to let little ones run around by the cliff.
P. B.
The beach car park at Happisburgh (Hazebur please!) is a delight. Well placed for cliff top walks 🚶♂️ (beware of crumbling cliff edges!) Clean toilets at car park. Lovely walks from here in either direction.
R. D.
Fantastic piece of history! Lovely farmland surrounds the lighthouse. There is only access to inside it on a Sunday. But are free to stroll around the perimeter wall. Shame that in about 10 -15!years or so it too will become victim to the sea because of lack of defence of the ever eroding coastline at happisburgh at lot of the village has already gone into the sea
J. P.
A great place to visit.
Wonderful lighthouse, lots of history to take in and most importantly (if you have small kids) the gift shop is well priced and we'll stocked. 30p for a stick of rock! Bargain for keeping small children occupied while you wait to ascend the lighthouse.
Magnificent views as you go up and from the top.
Helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Combine this with a park and the beach a short walk away makes for a good day out.
Check their website for opening times.
J. B.
Well maintained lighthouse with knowledgeable volunteers , great views of the coast line from the top , only £5 entry , space for a few cars to park otherwise a pay and display carpark is only a few minutes walk away.
Only open for a few days a year so can get busy . 😁👍
C. W.
It was amazing. Even though you could not go in because oc Covid-19 it was very nice see the lighthouse and imagine when it was used. It is still active and is able to be used. I loved it.
C. H.
Quite accessible by car and close to a pay and display car park. Top tip! Try to visit on an open day to have access inside. We missed out didn’t realise. Beach was accessible from this car park when we visited although significant work is being carried out to reinstate a ramp down to the beach due to erosion. It doesn’t look like the lighthouse is in imminent danger of falling off the edge 🤗
k. b.
Great volunteers. Recommend everyone visiting the area show make an effort to visit.
A. R.
I love visiting lighthouses and this one is easily accessible. It was open and currently pre booking is recommended. As wearing a mask is compulsory and I have asthma which makes climbing up all the steps impossible with it on, I decided against. Definitely want to go again when restrictions are lifted. A very popular place and only £5 to go in.
K. L.
Open weekend, first time going up. Dave tour guide wealth of knowledge, need to be able to climb steps, all volunteers so appreciation to them all
March 2022 not open till Easter but still a landmark to visit from the car park near by or from the beach
R. P.
A great picture in to a world we never knew.
- Loads of history
- A fully operational lighthouse.
- With post COVID restrictions we hade to book (but not sure)
- This is the only Trust owned and run light house in the UK, as an act of parliament, how cool.
S. W.
Great place. We went on a cold and windy October afternoon but that didn't dampen our spirit. Big car park (pay and display), zip wire and playground for kids.
A. J.
Such a lovely lighthouse to visit. Great staff on site to. Views are stunning.
c. t.
This is a beautifully maintained lighthouse that is owned by a charitable trust. They have open days on some Sundays and bank holidays, with a small admission fee. Once you have paid the fee a volunteer guide will take you up the 112 steps to the top of the the lighthouse giving information about the lighthouse and nearby coast as you go. There is a handrail running up the steps so don't worry about falling. The views from the top are amazing.
M. W.
A great place for a coastal cliff top walk with views of the Lighthouse. Carpark with a kids play park just a very short walk from the beach too
s. p.
Strangely stunning place that's only just clinging on to the earth.
Y. S.
One of my favourite lighthouses. Always looks smart. Let's hope it never falls over the cliff.
j. f.
Loved my visit. Great views from the top of the lighthouse. Need to book in advance.
P. F.
Wonderful as usual.... they've done a lot of work to make a cess to the beach easier. Sad to see the erosion...quite frightening really
K. H.
Impressive from the outside and easy to park and walk to. Shame it was closed due to covid but you can still walk around the parameter
D. J.
Nice place to visit. Parking is expensive but you can spend all day here. On the beach, walking up to the lighthouse. Lighthouse is only open Sundays though which is a shame. Great tea garden near the car park entrance, really nice home made cakes.
L. S.
Loved Happisburgh lighthouse. I couldn't go upstairs as I had my little girl under 1m tall. But my partner went up and said it was great. He works offshore and could see his rig from the lighthouse and thr tour guide was very informative especially what was out to see.
My partners son did struggle to go up the staircase so stayed with me. So we walked around the light house and walked down to the local park whilst we waited for my partner to come down.
There is also a little pill box in the field. But we couldn't get to it because of the crop and we wasn't sure if we would be trespassing.
Will certainly go again as the fee you pay is for the light house charity so when my little girl is taller I hope she will enjoy the experience too.
S.
Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area on one of their open days, reasonably priced (£5 per adult, cash only), with a very informative volunteer guide. The climb to the top isn't particularly arduous (although the last few steps up to the lantern room are almost a ladder), but isn't for people with a fear of heights.
Excellent views on a clear day, but you may have to wait around 30 minutes to go up if it's busy.
S. C.
Lovely visit on their open day.
Very knowledgeable staff.
D. R.
Lovely picturesque lighthouse in the town of Happisburgh, open on a Sunday for viewing. Sadly we was only available to middle of the week so could only stop and take a few pictures of the outside. Great to see the red and white strips as you come down the country lanes towards it. Only a short distance to Horsey Gap where you can stand close to the local seal Colony. Well worth adding this landmark to your trip route.
K. F.
Beautiful beach and amazing sight to see, really happy we stumbled across this little gem! Wonderful to learn this is the only independently operated lighthouse in the UK!
A.
Finally visited the lighthouse today 😁 Thank you Geoff & Jenny for a brilliant tour Informative interesting & made me realise how unfit I am climbing those stairs!! Highly recommend A big thank you to you both & all the volunteers who keep this great lighthouse going
S. T.
Great to see the light house and history but would advise against going up on open day if you suffer from vertigo. A good playground near by too.
K. R.
Lovely lighthouse, good to come on a bank holiday when they have open days.
A. C.
A interesting lighthouse to visit, open to the public on certain days. However be prepared for a fairly long wait as visitors can only be taken up in small groups and need to come down again before the next guide can take the next group up.
l. h.
Fantastic views. Great beach and walks. Public toilets at the car park and kids play ground...
A. H.
Nice painted Lighthouse. Small car park with toilets. Limited weekend summertime opening hours. Short walk to the beach. A short walk away is an old WW2 Pill Box. Well recommended for a visit.
I. S.
Just how you would have drawn a lighthouse when you were a child. Lovely.
J. C.
Nice place but had to drive up the lighthouse lane to get close. As it's a long walk
H. H.
Excellent tour and the view is stunning.
T. B.
My first experience in a lighthouse. Not for the feint hearted climbing 96 steps or so to the foot of a ladder to the top where the light is installed.
Our guide was very well informed as he was part of the team that looks after the building. Well worth a visit if you are interested in lighthouses.
D. D.
Only 96 steps up to the top, good view and interesting to see the erosion of the coastline.
D. J.
A very picturesque site with a well maintained lighthouse. Parking is OK outside the lighthouse but gets full pretty quickly. We didn't manage to do the lighthouse tour, as we were told there was an approximate wait time of 1.5 hours from where we were in the queue. We decided to leave and return on another open day. All the people coming down aftrr their tours confirmed it was very worthwhile. On a clear day you can see 12miles from the top of the lighthouse apparently.
L. W.
Absolutely beautiful place! We will be coming back to view inside. Wish I could give more stars.
m. b.
Lovely setting, toilets at the car park and easy access to the beach.
A. P.
Great location, however, carpark was blocked due to a less than considerate customer, the car park is expensive and there aren't enough benches and seating areas. These are all areas for improvement to what is a stunning location.
j. f.
Beautiful location and a lovely paint job on the lighthouse. Photo opportunities galore!
N. P.
Nice peaceful place lovely to visit and a nice place for littles as got a nice park good chilled relaxing place
J. N.
Brilliant volunteer guides brought the history of the lighthouse to life and fantastic views from the light platform itself. Two warnings. 1. You need to book in advance for a tour as this site isn't open frequently to the general public. See their website for contact details 2. If you don't like heights, whilst perfectly safe, the stairs may give you jelly legs if you look down. The final flight is also more like a ladder so people with mobility issues should be aware. All in all though, an excellent site to visit and support.
M. C.
Open day event, informative talk, walked to top of lighthouse with beautiful views.
A. H.
Just a beautiful stripey lighthouse. Please don't visit - I like the peace and quiet here.
E.
Very good views from the top and staff are very friendly. Make sure to check that the lighthouse is open for an open day on their website. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.
A. F.
Beautiful open day of a beautiful lighthouse. The tour guide was very informative and friendly and everything about the tour: the views, the history of the lighthouse and the interesting facts made this tour wonderful.
J. B.
Only open Sundays so check the Website for details.Have been before good tour of Lighthouse but steep stairs so beware if you 're not good on your feet. Quite a bit to look at inside the lighthouse and you don't have to go "Up Top" bit of a shop too. Run by Volunteers and a working Lighthouse so support them if you can👍😁
N. N.
Very spectacular. You can't visit the lighthouse as it's still in use (?!) and the cottages are inhabited (OTOH how often do you visit lighthouses when out for a single-day beach holiday?) but the views are gorgeous and the wheat field looks very nice.
A. M.
Fabulous structure. Well worth a visit! Truly an amazing sight
T. C.
The only Trinity House approved Lighthouse operated by a voluntary trust. Good visit with a good story.
A. T.
Beautiful place. Nice play area for children. Loads of benches for picnics and lots of car parking spaces.
G. P.
Unique. Good car park and beach access. Nice safe clean park for the kids.
C. V.
Beautiful lighthouse in a beautiful village. You can walk around the perimeter of the lighthouse but the homes within are private and should be respected. Farmers field does have trails that can be used, it doesn't seem to be a problem getting around the lighthouse and through to the carpark and beach.
Great photo opportunities from every angle and it looks well cared for.
S. M.
Only open on certain days but great to go and get to the top. Entry fee helps to maintain and run the lighthouse.
B. G.
Beautiful spot. Great place for responsible dog walkers and children too. Plenty of parking, which was reasonable cost and clean toilets on site! Space with tables for picnics and childrens play area close by! Def going there again!
D. H.
Access to the lighthouse is along some very narrow country lanes, I was just glad we did not encounter any traffic coming the other way, as it would have been difficult, near impossible to pass.
J. M.
Lovely light house. Nice beach
P. D.
Looks nice. Cliff fell on a girls head but not the lighthouses fault.
V. B.
Beach is dog frendy get ice cream/hot drinks good play park for kids /and loos. and the light house is well worth a visit love it
l. g.
Beautiful place with good parking well worth a visit
C. M.
Beautiful here - I went specifically as a photographer - Instagram @craigimore
A. H.
Couldn't get into the lighthouse but the beach walk was special.
J. H.
Lovely place to visit. Whatever time of the day.
B.
Beautiful little spot right next to the beach.
G. W.
A landmark lighthouse with good parking, a children's play area and toilets. There's a cafe nearby although I've never tried it.
C. S.
Really pretty lighthouse with great views. Children's play area with zip wire just across the field too
M. F.
Great lighthouse no entry though to public though
T. P.
Lovely little seaside village. Great beach.
A. S.
We went on the open day 30 minute tour.
As you'd imagine there's not too much to see, other than the great view from the top. But since the lighthouse is now wholly funded by the hard work of volunteers, running tours and selling gifts etc, this has got to be with £5.50 of anyone's money.
A. H.
Shame the lighthouse was closed but lovely beach.
R. M.
Only saw it from the outside, but very good to see....very windy,
J. D.
A lovely spot on the Norfolk coast. Great car park with a decent kids play area. The beach is lovely for a walk and great views and walk over the top. Watch the edge though with the coastal erosion.
T. H.
This is more of a visual landmark than somewhere you can go to do something at. This view is from a small single track road that runs closer to the lighthouse.
K. R.
Took the children to climb up the lighthouse today (pre bookable open day), lovely volunteers and great views..... The gentlemen that took us up the stairs was very friendly, gave just enough information and happily answered any questions the children had and they got a certificate after
N. B.
Although young kids can't go up the lighthouse there's still a new playground outside and is near the sea for a walk too.
c. b.
What an amazing place to visit a must on any trip to Norfolk.
H. R.
Very interesting to visit. Not suitable for small children or people who find steep steps difficult. The view at the top is worth the climb. Book visits online. Sundays only.
c.
Fab views particularly at sunset. Carparking right next to the lighthouse with good toilets. Fab playpark for the kids too!
M. B.
A beautiful stretch of coastline even in winter. Unspoilt by shops and amusements
T. T.
Good to see but over after 30 mins.
m. b.
Had a lovely afternoon at the park and on the beach. You can walk up to the lighthouse but best to go on a Sunday as the sign says this is when the public can look around the grounds.
P. G.
Beautiful place! Can't wait to visit again
P. W.
Didn't go in lighthouse as not open yet but was great to see it and to see how the erosion of the cliffs. Very sad. Feel for the locals. Carpark is good and children's play area great if you've got little ones. Toilets clean, nice to see such facilities being provided.
A. U.
You can only walk around it but worth a look as it is kept in a pristine condition.
R. M.
Great views. Nice people. Well worth a visit.
b. j.
It's stunning but just sits in a field . Visit when open as I imagine it would be very interesting to go inside. Car parking is chargeable although no one bothered when we were there except us. Toilet facilities good and a kids playground
M. R.
Apart from the tiny little road to get to the car park you can't fault this place. It has good facilities and ample parking. Good walking access to other places a short distance down the coast and lots of nice sandy beach to play on. Beware of eroding cliffs and sharp old sea defences.
r. f.
One of our fav spots. Just to chill
D. J.
Excellent walk along the coast plenty to see, have to be careful to check tides and to keep clear of cliff edge. Excellent toilet facilities Spotless. Car parking prices are ok too.
A. S.
Hoped to see the lunar eclipse here but wall to wall cloud got in the way. Super facilities nonetheless tho shame the toilets were locked.
J. T.
Great photo opportunities on this piece of cliffside. Unfortunately the lighthouse was closed due to covid restrictions. Small carpark nearby. Cliffside is currently being monitored due to erosion. If you are nearby definitely come to this part of Norfolk. The lighthouse may end up in the sea at some point!
E. D.
In an area where every village has a square tower and they sit facing each other. Happisburgh also has a lighthouse, red and white striped. It sits on its sandy soil waiting to be eroded like it's surrounding terrain. There are no apparent rocks here for ships to run aground. The beach is sandy with small eroded cliffs. Paths have, 'no access' signs. With the erratic wooden posts dying in the sea, it looks run down. I'm sure this is it's charm.
A. G.
The volunteers are extremely knowledgeable and kind, they also deal with an incredible number of people visiting here at once. Well priced for a family day out and plenty of souvenir options. Mixed with a day at the beach, it is a good place in general to visit. Was sad to see people trampling over the farmer's fields though.
N. N.
Booked a tour and a really nice knowledgeable couple took us around this historic building. Well worth booking a tour.
K. S.
Calm and quaint. Good for a lovely walk by the beach.
A. Q.
A community owned lighthouse staffed with knowledgeable and very interesting lighthouse stewards. The tour and ascent to the top was great and the views are stunning! A lovely gift shop and museum/information display at the base! A very worthwhile visit if in the area.
P. B.
The guides know there stuff and are very knowledgable. Well worth a visit.
D. B.
Didn't go to lighthouse only went to bea h which was lovely
B. T.
A lighthouse straight from the story books. Lovely beach to walk on.
H. B.
Absolutely beautiful lighthouse surrounded by stunning views (when the weather permits it). Close to the village, with direct routes to the village centre and pubs close by. The lighthouse itself is able to be entered, however the two keepers cottages are off-limits; one being privately owned by a charming couple, and the other able to be booked. Routes still exist to the coast nearby, but the main one has been lost to erosion; It can't be helped, but many have left an unfair negative review because of it.
M. R.
Now. Hold on. This is me rating our experience of the area around the lighthouse. We didn't experience the lighthouse because my family and I didn't want to queue in the worsening rain. Others I know got there earlier and had a great time up the Lighthouse. As it happened the rain never really materialized & we had great fun at the Pillboxes & had a picnic by the play area & then went down to the sea for a paddle.
F. B.
Striking lighthouse & great cafe round the corner
G. H.
Never actually visited as the queue from the gate had taken 40+ mins and had run out of parking!
Got no idea how tours take this long when the interior photos only show spiral stairs, then the light enclosure at the top.
Maybe consider shortening tour times or warning people in the queue how long it will take.
K. B.
Great car parking, fascinating history not just why it was built but how the community came together to save it and take over the running & upkeep of it. Well spent two hours was open do got to climb to the top views are brilliant.
R. A.
Lights house condition excellent. Views up the tower are stunning David our guide had great information to share. Everything is just so welcoming. Tower climbing not for the faint hearted though.
S. H.
Visited Happisburgh beach. Great place for walking the dog. Good car park but can be difficult to get a space at busy times. Lovely play area for children. Our grand daughters loved the zip wire.
L. S.
The lighthouse is open to the public, but it is best to check out the website or phone in advance if you are making a special trip to visit it. They offer a tour in which you are able to go up into the top and a guide will give you a history of the area and lighthouse, this is tailored to the visitors so if you bring children the guide will get them involved also. There are quite a few stairs to climb and a height restriction for children, my son who was six at the time was able to climb the stairs with confidence.
If you are a photographer, I would suggest visiting around sunset the skies here are beautiful and give you the perfect backdrop for stunning imagery.
J. R.
I enjoyed the experience but it wasn’t made clear how long the trip up to the top would take once we had purchased tickets. The rest of the family were very bored outside and my daughter really struggled to stay still and quiet for so long inside.
S. M.
Lovely area in general, worth checking out the lighthouse open days as view from top is great if the weather if nice. 120 odd steps to climb though so consider that before you pay.
S. W.
Amazing place to see, well kept by the volunteers, would have loved to climb to the top to see the views but unfortunately my knees weren't strong enough! Well worth a visit on their open days.
S.
Took the children here for one of their open days. It was well worth a visit and great fun. Such an interesting history to the place and the voulnteers passion for the lighthouse shines through(no pun intended).
The site has been well preserved and offers great views when you finally ascend the 122 stps to the top of the lighthouse. There is also a fantastic play park near to the lighthouse and a very nice snack / refreshment stall nearby.
d. n.
Lovely place.. Super calm.
A. W.
We loved it here. Although the lighthouse wasn't open we still had a pleasant time. There is a lovely play area our children enjoyed next to the lighthouse and the beach is also nice.
N. S.
First time here. Sad we could not get to the beach as closed due to mega erosion. They are trying to fix this. Plus side there is a mega good free kids play area. One of the best I have ever seen. If you have kids it is worth the trip just for that. It is just north of the light house.
R. T.
Absolutely beautiful. Kids and adults love this lighthouse. Set in beautiful grounds. There are public toilets and a children's park just down the path next to the car park.
A. W.
Lovely setting and beautiful views
D. C.
Loads of history to the area, open days and space to explore. The lighthouse has open days at certain times but otherwise is closed to the public. This doesn't stop you viewing from the outside, enjoying the beach or letting the kids play in the facilities close to the car park. The pay and display car park costs a few pounds to park. Toilet and tourist information available. Local shop just outside the car park sells ice creams and snacks. Check the lighthouse website for open day dates, or plan a visit anytime to enjoy the beach and local area.
D. H.
Something different for the inlander to look at nice veiws
I. F.
Fantastic landmark
C. H.
Lovely beach, bit tricky for accessibility and take care around the cliffs, which can collapse with little warning. Children's play area and nice place to spend an afternoon
D. L.
Looks stunning in a great spot
J. B. (.
Understandably there are a fair amount of stairs to climb but it feels quite special reaching the top and looking out to sea. The guide is very informative and willing to answer any questions. There's also some exhibits worth looking over on the ground floor. You won't be spending too much time here but the Happisburgh lighthouse is quite iconic and worth helping towards its upkeep.
H. S.
It was windy but a had a look at the lighthouse
D. A.
Lovely beach nice walks.
S. M.
Such a beautiful area.
S. G.
First time seeing a real stripey lighthouse!! Great play area next to a good sized car park. Small roads to get to it made it tricky in our big van 😊
D. j.
Need good walking shoes as lots of coastal walks, very quiet ideal for adults ,the beach is good .
j. c.
Sorry have not been there yet..I’m In the states(Cary,NC) but on my bucket list! Only know of this place because of the movie AfterDeath...I love lighthouses..it be cool if that hut/cabin was there too! Haha This place looks beautiful ❤️
M. M.
Great little sandy beach which is not too busy. Good car park with toilets. Adventure play park for the younger ones and some of the older "kids" too.
S. F.
A very informative talk on the history of the lighthouse and the physics of how it works. Queues can be long at busy times but worth the wait. 2-way communication between the top bottom of levels would be beneficial.
R. M.
Beautiful and scenic, lovely to go in the day or night, there is a pay and display and also there is a park for the kids
R. Y.
We went to the lighthouse today and had a fantastic couple of hours. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and all the staff are very helpfull. Its a shame this will be lost to the sea as there is no funding to protect it.
j. e. t.
As usual blustery but bright. Love this area of Norfolk. A lot of coastal erosion that is obvious as each year goes by, still a beautiful area
P. G.
Well wort a visit. Volunteers are very knowledgeable. Just beware it has a lot steps, steep steps.
J. F.
Very beautiful walk around Happisburgh and a visit to the top of the lighthouse amazing view. Lots of info on the history of the Norfolk coastline the guide was good.
A. B.
Beautiful lighthouse in a lovely little village setting.
The playpark nearby is absolutely brilliant too!
A real must see if you're in the area.
R. M.
Very good place to visit, there is a lot to discover about the history of the lighthouse and the surrounding area,it has recently been repainted so is looking it's best, the volunteer staff are very knowledgeable friendly and helpful, good views from the top.
V. N.
Lovely to see, just how you would imagine a lighthouse to look like. Due to the Covid restrictions we couldn't go in though. Maybe next year 😊
B. W.
Great experience. Tour guide knew his stuff. Well worth £5.
J. P.
Our favourite holiday destination. We always visit lighthouse cottage No2. Will never go anywhere else
m. g.
Great place for artistic nostalgia as Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth spent some summers here in the 50's. Also, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle stayed at the local pub and did some writing.
R. W.
Beautiful views. Nice Park next to the lighthouse. Really lovely shallow beach
L. H.
Great walks along the beach. Easy access and brilliant parking......oh, and good loos too.
