Brilliant, cannot praise the experience highly enough. Well worth booking a visit. Owls are lovely, hosts are welcoming and very knowledgeable. They clearly love what they do and the birds. Highly recommended.

We were on holiday in the Manor Caravan Park in August and it was on their Facebook page that they were having an open day on the Sunday we were there. It was their first ever open day so we didn't know exactly what to expect. What nobody expected was for the local press to find out about it and advertise it in the paper. As a result, when we got there at about 11 o clock there was a queue of about twelve people. The lady on the gate was very apologetic because no-one was expecting it to be so popular and as a result there was a bit of a delay. After a twenty-ish minute wait we paid our £5 entry fee (per person, it would have been value for money at double that). We were introduced to a charming young man by the name of Darwin who would be our host/guide for the tour. We were shown around the sanctuary's "family" of owls, they are so highly regarded by those who look after them. Each owl has a different story as to why it's in there and each one has its own personality. The depth of knowledge in all of the staff is astounding. The reason for the open day was to help raise funds for the feed for the owls, the price of frozen mice etc. has skyrocketed due to the energy crisis/COVID and to raise awareness of the sanctuary itself. They mainly do owl experiences where you can spend time with the owls, handling them and getting to know their stories on a one to one basis. Sandra and the staff also take the owls out into the community, to fairs etc. but one of the most fascinating things they do is take them around the care homes and hospital/hospices in the area like other places use dogs and cats. Apparently the reaction from the residents is amazing. I hope this hasn't put Sandra and the other staff off doing something like this again, it was a fantastic experience for the wife and I and we're thankful that we were there when it happened. One of the best animal experiences I've ever had. Took my nan for her birthday and it was as amazing as the reviews suggest. I have never experienced anything like this before. Especially having a cup of tea while holding an owl! It was fun, educational and inspiring. Sandra and Darwin have great chemistry and it is clear how much they care and love the owls. You can see how the owls respond towards them both and every owl had individual quirky personalities which made it extra special. It was lovely to see how happy the owls are which is a credit to Sandra and how she has raised them. A true animal lover and it was worth every penny. Thank you so much for a wonderful day. Mum and I enjoyed a magical afternoon here. Sandra and her Assistant are both welcoming and very knowledgeable. The bond they have with the owls is very special, and it is obvious the owls are very well cared for. We held 8 of the owls, with each of them sitting comfortably on our gloved hand. I haven't uploaded them yet, but I'm sure we have some lovely photos. Such a lovely afternoon spent in good company. Well worth every penny, and well worth repeating the visit.

Absolutely brilliant. My wife and I visited Happisburgh Owls recently and were thoroughly enthralled by the birds and the team's knowledge. We were made welcome and treated as if we were friends which made the experience even more pleasurable. What a tremendous family day out. Booked as a gift, we were greeted with immediate enthusiasm and professionalism. Visiting as a party of 4 (mum, dad, son 11, son 7) i hadn't considered much past entertaining the kids for a couple of hours. However, this was honestly one of the most fun days out we've ever had as a family. The host was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of the random questions thrown by the children and parents! The interaction with owls was so intimate. The owls have a fantastic loving and appropriate habitat and it was a joy to feel part of this for a few hours. Not your average animal experience. It is great to see that for Sandra, owls definitely come first and they can choose whether they wish to interact with visitors or prefer to just be observed. And perhaps this freedom is what makes them so friendly when you do get to interact with them! The unique experience of meeting so many different owls is made even better by Sandra's warm, welcoming nature as a host. She is also very knowledgeable, so get your questions ready. We were very lucky to be given a voucher for our birthdays and took our two young grandchildren with us to Happisburgh Owls. We spent a truly lovely day with Sandra and her beautiful, gentle owls and were given a very warm welcome and made to feel at home and at ease from the very start. A fantastic and unique experience. I have visited twice now and Sandra is a wonderful host, who gives visitors a beautiful and personal insight into her owls. These are such beautiful creatures all with their own unique personality. It is not like visiting a centre; these owls are part of Sandra's family. She lives for them and they love her too. What is so beautiful is that she gives the owls a choice of whether they want to come out and meet people. If they are not up for it, she leaves them in peace in their avery. However, these owls are hand raised by Sandra herself and they love people. They genuinely look pleased to see you when you walk into Sandra's house. It is definitely worth a visit and I will be going again and again. I feel I know Sandra and her owls after two visits. I love this place.

We have visited various animal and bird experiences over the years. Yesterday the four of us spent a most amazing afternoon with Sandra and her owls at their home. It is clear that Sandra devotes herself to her birds - all clearly loved and well kept. She is very knowledgeable and happy to share the owls and her time with you. What a wonderful place, a hidden Jem in North Norfolk. We visited whilst on holiday, it must have been our 5th visit to Norfolk and this is just what's been missing to make our vacations amazing. Our visit, there was six of us, was superb, well informed and full of knowledge and we all felt like one of the family. Also, it's such a lovely thing to see the owls naked and the entire thing revolved around how the birds felt. Additionally, it was wonderful to see how they were kept. We found Happisburgh Owls while we were looking for places to visit During our stay at North Walsham for Jane's 60th birthday. As we both loved Owls this seemed the ideal place for us. From the moment I rang Sandra was so helpful in arranging our private viewing. When we arrived we were made to feel at home, there was Gluten free food laid on for Jane. The owl's were so amazing and we held each one that were there for us and even had to smell them. Sandra's dedication to each of them showed through our entire visit as she told us how it all started for her. Will definitely be returning to continue our owl experience and anyone who loves owl's should definitely visit her

My husband Alan & I were given a visit to Happisburgh Owls as a Christmas gift from our family & what a gift !! On arrival Sandra met us with a very warm welcome then we went indoors to her "Owl Room" where such a display of these fantastic birds were waiting to amaze us. Sandra is VERY knowlegeable about every one of them and she had us transfixed as she talked about them -before we took each one in turn on a gloved hand out into her lovely garden. Its impossible to select one owl as a favourite but I quickly became besotted with tiny "Munchkin", a baby Little Owl who is only a few weeks old. Drinks and snacks were provided after all the owls (except Munchkin) were settled in their fabulous individual aviaries around the garden. Sandra is so passionate about her birds and all that enthusiasm is very infectious. We came away with a camera full of photos and a definite promise that we will return.

An absolutely amazing experience, this really deserves 6 or 7 stars! The lady who runs the sanctuary is so passionate about owls and its really obvious that the owls are treated brilliantly. The owls are happy to be held, touched and stroked. We saw the averys where the owls live which were clean and spacious, not many place will let you see that. We paid for a 2 hour session but we were there for about 3 1/2 to 4 hours without being made to feel like we'd overstayed.

I went along as part of a photography group to photograph my favourite animal, I could not think of anything better. I was wrong, meeting Sandra and all the owls was without a doubt one of the best days of my life. Sandra was very proffesional and clearly knew alot about owls as a whole. Before we even managed to snap a single picture we were introduced to some of her owls and learnt about them. Well for me I was in heaven so to speak. All of the owls were clearly happy and comfortable, there housing was awesome and clean and tidy. It is hard not to have a favourite and I thought I wouldn't as I just love love all owls but I was wrong. I have 2 , but there is one in particular who has pulled at my heart ever since that day, but that is between me and them. The experiance was both magical and informative. Not the cheapest of activities for a family of 6 but certainly the highlight of the whole families week. We have 4 boys aged from 2 to 10 and they were all able to hold an owl (with a bit of assistance for the youngest). We were the only family present and loved being there so much. We booked in January for a visit in the summer holidays otherwise we would have struggled to get in. Highly recommend a visit for both young and old.
