A great little am dram theatre. Well done to the cast and crew for Vincent. Good performances. Makes me want to investigate more. On till Saturday I guess.

Nice little theatre tucked away down a side street opposite the multistorey carpark. Small bar upstairs with friendly staff. Comfortable seats.

Brilliant playland has a bar which serves food and drink

The Lace Market Theatre is run entirely by volunteers who give their time for love. The types of plays put on are not ones you could easily find in the East Midlands. The sets, lighting and acting are of the highest standard. Customer base is expanding due to word of mouth. With 14 productions each season and tickets between £9-£12 it really is worth a visit.

I’ve recently moved from Newcastle to Derby and I think it’s fair to say if there’s one reason to like the midlands, for me it’s this place. I’ve been there to see two plays so far (A day in the death of Joe egg and Pink Mist) and they were both excellent. You can see real art happening here. Good choice of plays, passionate ‘amateur’ actors that surprise you, and a unique experience overall. Highly recommend and I hope they manage to keep this place running forever!

Been to a good number of performances over the years. The one we have currently seen is the Haunting😱 which was enjoyable, well acted and atmospheric. Very impressed with the set design (won't spoil the play but a couple of things happened which we didn't expect). Loved the mini copy of the set upstairs in the cafe/bar area. Volunteers are so nice very helpful and friendly. Good choice of snacks and drinks at reasonable prices. I think my favorite play I have seen there was 'Gay man's guide' the worst was 'Cymbeline' but even that still provides entertainment now looking back. If you park at the Lace Market carpark don't forget to validate your ticket at the upstairs desk for a £3 park. Would heartily recommend a visit👍.

Lovely intimate little theatre. Good facilities. We went to a private viewing of "Flare Path". The standard of acting was excellent, but particular mention should be made of the performance of "The Countess". She was utterly believable and had many of us in tears when she listened tearfully to her "dead" husband's last words in a letter. Superb.

The Lace Market Theatre is a lovely venue hidden away in Nottingham's Creative Quarter. It puts on theatre that is produced and staffed entirely by members of the community, at affordable prices, but often of quality that matches professional productions. A welcoming environment with many opportunities not just for entertainment but also volunteering - and has a respectable and reasonably priced bar!

We were advised that Monday's performance of King John was to be treated as a final dress rehearsal for reasons beyond your control so we were a little apprehensive. What we stayed for was a really heroic performance by everyone concerned, actors and backstage alike. We hope the rest of the run goes as well and that your audiences appreciate a fine play played in the true spirit the theatre.

Wonderful venue, am regular patron, small, friendly theatre staffed by volunteers who bend over backwards to be helpful, also friendly, and enhance a visit. Tours of theatre available, bar, immaculately clean toilets. Centrally located near centre of Nottingham, 5 minutes walk from Old Market Square or Lace Market NET tram stops. Deals available for pre-show dining and subsidised parking. No disabled access unfortunately, easy access to auditorium but two flights of steps up to bar and toilets. Art gallery in bar area.

Volunteers and staff very friendly. Performance was slick and lively - the play was a Stoppard comedy, so this was perfect. The best of amateur drama. The only downside is that it is a bit cliquey.

I've been a volunteer here for two years now and loved it from the start. There is always something to do here, even if you aren't and actor or have any experience. Join through membership and be part of an amazing little community in the heart of Nottingham.
