H. a. K.A fantastic clean well set out venue. I was lucky to be in a box with a 3 course meal.
The food was fantastic, the service excellent and facilities very clean.
I would have no hesitation having a box for the family for a treat I was that impressed.
A. W.If you want to lose all your money this is a great place to do it. Super location and a memorable day out. Make sure you eat a meal first as you may not be able to afford one by the end of the afternoon. Seven races and not even a third place. But a great memory.

Good food and hospitality
S. T.Excellent. Always welcome our charity. Wish they did nice hot drinks either behind the kiosk or bar. Probably at the bar as food kiosk is constantly busy. And drinks needed more frequently. Or even a separate coffee bar especially in the winter.
D. R.Great service and atmosphere. I had an amazing time. Apparently there's dogs as well, but I found my money seemed to disappear when they turned up.

Efficient waiting staff, bringing three courses of excellent food out to us in decent intervals. Always looking for the empty glass, or rubbish to clear the table.
We had clear view of the monitors and the actual track, but the monitor didn't display the results of the last race and we had to watch the replay several times to work out which dog had placed where. We couldn't hear the tannoy from where we were situated.
Why the monitors only display the next race is a mystery!
On that note, the betting staff seemed a little over worked; they had too many tables to see to, meaning we were getting a little anxiety over putting bets on as he couldn't get to us before a race started, so we asked him to start each race with us instead and that worked out better.
p. c.good spot to pass a few hours...we only booked trackside so going in and out to get drinks was a bit of a hassle while trying to keep an eye on the races...next time i will book a boot...staff were nice and friendly.wasnt much of a wait for drinks at bar considering how packed the place was..well worth a visit
C. M.A rainy few hours at The Funfair, tokens required for the rides at £1 each big wheel is 4 tokens per person cash required for food and things like hook a duck which is £4 for 1 go but it is a prize every time
T. S.We went to the owners and trainers section of the race cause and couldn't have been more looked after. We took our granddaughter and the staff were amazing with her. The meal was good. Could have done with a winner but just missing Castle Rock beers to have been a perfect day out.

S. H.Food excellent. Service on this occasion was dreadful. 10 people in our party half got food served very swiftly. The other half took 45 mins to get main course. Staff seemed unable to convince the kitchen to get food out. Incredible. We had to complain and were given a few rounds of drinks. Honestly not the usual service. Hope you can improve because we do like coming for a dinner and a night out.
P. W.Always enjoy going to the races but when you go with family it's not a cheap night 45 pound for me the wife and daughter to get in , a little under 20 pound a round then 9 quid for fish n chips quite an expensive Monday night out really

H. H.I am with the Rock Choir and we performed at Nottingham Racecourse for the Alzheimers Society Glow Walk. It was fantastic to sing as the runners came running past and also children and dogs. Nottingham Racecourse is a great location for a charity event as well. The Rock Choir sang for an hour and a half. It was fantastic.

R. E. P.What a day! Lovely scenery, very green.The Racecourse is accesible, we chose to walk there from the centre of Nottingham and found a very useful footpath. The location has everything you need, even though we found that the alcohol can be relatively more expensive than usual as you can't bring your own, but that is fair enough as long as one knows the rules in advance. Family friendly location too.

D. B.Good night out. Had pie and mash deal (but upgraded to chips for £1 extra) also got free drink (any spirit off top shelf, beer or soft drink, but doesn't include wine!). Best to go outside to watch the racing but if cold or raining can watch inside on the tv's.

D. R.Cracking day at Notts Racecourse Tuesday afternoon. Sherwood restaurant was very good. Food and service excellent with easy to access view of the racecourse.
Quick and easy access to all other areas of the racecourse as well.
Overall positive experience visiting the track for the first time.
S. K.Come here often for a walk however some dog owners are very selfish and inconsiderate and don't put their dog on a lead when approaching others. The excuse is that the dog is friendly but we are not all dog lovers. The racecourse management need to do something about this as on numerous occasions I have nearly been attacked by these 'friendly' dogs. The majority of dog owners are considerate it's just a few that let the rest down. People should be able to enjoy the racecourse without worrying about being attacked by overly friendly dogs. There is a sign at the beginning of the racecourse saying to keep overly friendly dogs on a lead when approaching others but it doesn't seem like anyone reads the sign.
S. G.The staff there are superb, I cannot fault the place at all.
My husband was running a 5k at the racecourse and I decided to come along with our dog due to being heavily pregnant. They weren't allowing dogs in, however when they saw I was sat outside on the floor due to an outside security coming not allowing me in(doing their job) the Nottingham Racecourse staff allowed me to come in and have a proper seat with the dog and offered us water. Its the little things, but I can't thank them enough for their kind hospitality and bending the rules for us.

D. J.After an unnecessary delay in getting through the turnstiles, ( maybe 2 should be manned) we had a brilliant time. We were seated in the restaurant overlooking the dog track and enjoyed a superb meal whilst watching all the canine action. A memorable visit. I highly recommend it.

M.Visited the antique fair on the 22nd February, we were charged £2 admission fee, which was expected. However, the lack of stalls was disappointing, to be charged to get in and then hope to be browsing for a couple of hours but not able to because the even was small. Lack of furniture was disappointing too.

M. H.Nice well kept place. Enjoyed the Vintage Carnival very much. Mind you we had the weather. Basically it's a place to go dressed up in the clothes of the time and buy more. Could do with more vehicles of the time and more stalls, but I guess related stalls are few and far between. Well worth getting advanced price tickets.

P. S.This was a first visit and was the occasion of the birthday of a young family member. It was quite an eye opener in as much as it had a certain atmosphere which went with the fact that all the dog races could be viewed from above in the restaurant through the huge windows. A quite elderly but efficient lady collected any bets made and also paid out any winnings which added an air of excitement to the evening. A meal was arranged and the food was excellent and served very well. All in all a really good evening for a celebration as all the usual drinks were available to toast the birthday boy.
J. L.A great night out for people of all ages. Well organized and vey reasonable at 6 pound per person entry fee. Good selection of food and drinks available. Many attendees smoke so be aware ave try to stand in a position where this won't cause you too many problems.
s. o.I work for the company occasionally as cover for people who are off for some reason. I find the atmosphere to be friendly and at times exciting from the racing. Overall I think for most people it is a good night out particularly in a group and it can be as cheep or as expensive as you choose and who knows if your lucky you could leave with more than you went with.

D. H.This was the first time I had ever attended a greyhound racing stadium and I was less than impressed. There wasn't much of an atmosphere and the food was average at best. Staff were generally very friendly and attentive but I will not be visiting again.

But last week there was an antique fair and that I would give five stars for as it was excellent. I went to the antiques fair on the 14 th and it was very good, but this feedback keeps assuming that I am at the car boot which was also there this Sunday.

B. C.It is nice to walk your dog or just to go for a walk yourself. There is easy access to Colwick Country Park. As well as that, watching a horse race here can be very entertaining. The service is very good. If it has rained, it can get very wet so be prepared.

B. S.I have never been Grehound Racing before and this was a birthday gift. It was an excellent evening the food was very good and the service by all the staff exemplary. They should be proud of their staff as they were faultless all night. A very enjoyable evening.
M. G.The night was really good Christmas meal was also good but the waiter took our place mate and started cleaning up and we had not had dessert I mentioned this and we got desserts and to be fair the young man was nervouse and they brought coffee really late with no mince pies . Little dissipated
M. A.Good nite out once you understand the way to bet. First time for me got into it quite easily. Best deal is £10 ticket which gets you in free drink, pie and peas, betting tickets. Not impressed by young man who served food as he just pointed to menu when asked him about pies and did not wear blue gloves to pick up pies.

G. H.Excellent racing today the best group 5 handicap I have ever seen with some quality horses on show. We were in the Sherwood Restaurant gold package which was 3 courses and a cream tea. The food was order your starters carvery main course and a cream tea just before the 6th race . The food was of an excellent standard and the staff were both attentive and friendly. A great day out with friends.

J. R.I organised a part of our stag do here which all the lads enjoyed. The racing was great and we got some included entry drinks and race tokens. There were a few other stag do's at the venue and lots of beer to keep the party going.
D. L.Weather was awful and we left early as there is no where for a wheel chair user to watch the racing in awful weather except on tv screens. Best to go when it's good weather! Wheelchair friendly.
A.Really nice place but queuing up 5 minutes to go to the toilet is disgraceful, they need to spend some money and put in a toilet block that can cope with big crowds. Some of the bookies spoil the day by only taking minimum bets of £5.00.

J.Excellent venue to have a fun night with friends, we booked to have a meal in the stadium restaurant that over looks the race track, we had a window table that is great you can enjoy the racing without having to leave your table, the team of people who work in the restaurant are fab, they cone to your table for you to place bets and come back after every race to pay your winnings or not as in our case lol, we had a 3 course Christmas dinner followed by coffee and Mince pie with was outstanding and all for £28 per person, your drinks are also ordered from your table and brought to your table, we have been here many times and always have a brilliant time, the lady manager is awesome and really nice as is her team who all work so well together, if you have never been dog racing before go I promise you will return.

T. M.The staff at Nottingham were most welcoming, in particular the manageress of the Owners and Trainers with a broad smile and nothing was too much trouble for her. The food and service was excellent with as much tea and coffee as you could drink. All from a mug not like some other tracks that serve tea in a cardboard cup.

J. R.All seven of us had a lovely time at Ladies Day today. However as we didn't manage to get the best package as it was sold out we opted for the 'Premier enclosure' at £28 each. What did we get for the extra money - grass to stand on, nothing else. Is that all we should have exoected for an extra £10 each? A seat to sit on would have been nice! It was very busy and there were several picnic tables (6 I think, plus 3 or 4 small tables in the bar) but certainly nowhere near enough. We had three less abled people in the oarty who were unable to stand for too long. Very disappointed. Drinks prices - a rip off too at £31.00 for a bottle of Prosecco in plastic glasses.

M. F.Very welcoming, clean and friendly for a mid-week race meeting. Prize money is good for the level of racing and some bigger trainers send their horses there. Excellent viewing from all areas with decent little bars and good food choice. Only 10-15 mins from city centre by bus or taxi (£2 bus, £6 taxi). Next to the park and ride and greyhound stadium.

A. R.There is lots of competition in the area with a number of other local race courses.
Large car park out front (the Park and Ride site). You have to be careful as the gate do get locked in the evening and so you can get shut in. But it has lots of places in it even for the busiest days.
Or it is a short bus journey out of Nottingham, or from Nottingham station.
The food is not bad.
But it is horses running around a field, not sure how impressive that really is.
