I didn't know what to expect as I hadn't done an escape room before, but I was pleasantly surprised. The venue itself is really easy to find and also in a great location as its in the town centre. So only a short walk to get some food after and great parking nearby. The guy at the front desk was extremely helpful and a conversationalist. He made us feel comfortable straight away. We were taken to the escape room and told about what to expect and were given a thorough talk through of the game we had chosen (the cabin). From then on it was play time. We were in a group of 4 and honestly thought this was the perfect amount of people. Anymore and it would have meant there was people not as involved as we all managed to be. The cabin was one of the harder games and as newbies we found it challenging, but in a good way. It was mentally stimulating and involved a lot of team work and puzzle solving which is the main reason we wanted to do it. Safe to say we will definately be back to take on the next room and really look forward to being there again. Overall experience - amazing from start to finish and could not recommended this place enough!

We did the cabin escape room last Saturday. Brilliant experience, the clues are really well thought out. Really well put together. The man at reception desk and the young lady who done or game were both lovely. Nice, friendly, fun experience. Will 100% be coming back to do the other rooms. Totally worth the money.

Wasn’t sure what to expect as my first time at doing an escape. Believe me it is so much fun. Your greated by some lovely staff that guide you through to the waiting area then once in the room of choice your given a very small safety tips and then a tiny story to get you going. We did the hardest room and it was so fun. Didn’t quite get out but it was still very enjoyable. Puzzles and riddles were tricky but once you work as a team it helps. Staff were all amazing and would highly recommend trying if you haven’t already. Will definitely be coming back again soon.

Was part of a two doing a game probably aimed at three or four. Plenty of clues provided helped us to successfully escape the room. Really enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend this to others to try. Good fun and feeling of satisfaction on completing task.

Plenty of parking on nearby streets, easy booking, we booked online, twice. The first time we went I didn't know what to expect at all, I can honestly say it surpassed all my expectations. Booking was made simple, each room is themed and the website informs you on difficulty. When we arrived, we had a warm welcome, (we parked just down the street), we were offered a bottle of water and the showed to our room, speechless, they can help guide you through a screen in the room if they can see you're on the right track but starting to get off track, very clever rooms. The people working there are absolutely brilliant, informative and helpful. We even returned a second time with my mother in tow, we failed that occasion due to far too many cocktails before coming 😂 needless to say, we will be back again soon!!!

Little bit of a hidden gem but had a wonderful hour cracking the codes. We did the wizard room with 2 adults and a 11 and 9 year old - perfect family entertainment.

This was amazing. We did the Bank heist. The puzzles were very challenging, in a good way, the host was great helping us now and again with some tips when we would get stuck. And we manage to get Top 5 in the leaderboards. Highly recommend.

Went in the Contagion experience, escaped with 11 mins to spare. Plenty of little puzzles to finish this, but it was challenging enough. Best value escape room by far esp as it has reduced price for under 16's. £20 adullt £15 child.

(Taken) First time for myself and 3 others and couldn't have had a better experience. The staff are lovely and so helpful. We all had such a laugh and completed it in under 60mins. Would definitely recommend to anyone thats new to these or even done them before. Definitely worth an attempt.

A brilliant experience, lots of fun. Was able to park outside the venue for a small fee. Covid protection in place. Very friendly team, game master Hazel was lovely and helpful, we experienced the "taken" room and would recommend it. We managed to escape!! Fun packed hour.

Came here and conquered.......I came here with my kids and between us we managed to crack the code and get out with 20 seconds to spare. We had a great time solving the clues in the 'taken' room and was surprised when we opened the large cupboard/locker. Thanks to the staff for their friendliness and welcoming us to the venue. Highly recommend this place if you like a challenge, we will be back soon to try another room.

Booked on line easy. Turned up friendly staff family loved doing the witches and wizards escape room. Lots of interesting puzzles and thinking games. Team of 4 is more than enough to work it all out.

A good number of escape games at varying difficulties. I've completed Contagion and The Cabin, both of which were great fun and well set up. Would suggest 3-4 players max for each game as rooms are slightly small. Staff are helpful. Parking is slightly tricky as the multi story nearby had closed. You can park on the street outside but give yourself enough time as we struggled to get the pay machine working.

Really good fun. There were 3 of us and we managed to get out in around 53 minutes. Don't worry if you don't think you are very good. There is a screen in the room that will help you if they think you need it. We will be returning to do all of the other rooms!!

An amazing time, great fun, great staff, Callum was a legend, and possibly more fun talking to than completing the room. Sherlock Holmes room is great fun, a challenge, but not stressful. Will definitely be booking again, and hoping Callum is working for some pre room jokes. 6 out of 5. Good stuff.

Good fun escape room. Standard 60 minute escape time on the Witches and Wizards room, with just enough head scratching to keep you on your toes. Room is quite small and stuffy so be aware. Did it with a 9 year old who had a great time. James was a fantastic host. Paid parking is available outside for a maximum 2 hour stay.

We tried 2 rooms (Harry Potter & Sherlock) which were great fun and much harder than i expected! We only completed one of the rooms! I would highly recommend this place if you're up for a challenge and enjoy a good puzzle. Friendly and helpful staff too!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff that are prepared to try and accommodate various requests and escape room abilities. I have done both the Baker Street and Wizardry rooms and enjoyed it greatly both times. Don't forget to follow them on Facebook just in case there is any voucher codes. 👍 Highly recommended.

Used these guys for a stag do and they were fantastic. Incredibly accomodating and friendly, providing us with beer and snacks in the price and also adding extra time for one of the groups who went past the hour mark (my group). My BF booked us an escape room for NYE, we were very excited because it sounded awesome. Two days later as we were looking up directions to get there, we realized that they are in Peterborough ENGLAND. Not Peterborough Canada, where we live. As we don’t own a private jet or time machine, we had already missed our booking! We emailed right away and would you believe it, they were kind enough to refund our money. One word Awesome ! Never done anything like this before but it one of the best experiences of doing something out of the ordinary I've tried. Definitely worth ago if you haven't tried it don't be sceptical For £20 Uve nothing to loose. Will be looking to go again soon to try a different room. With 3 different rooms to choose from it's not just a one of thing possibly the best place to visit in Peterborough.

UPDATE 06/10/19 Today I went back to Escape Peterborough as they were kind enough to offer me the opportunity to play their newest room, The Seven Seas. This room was themed as the inside of a pirate ship and was a very impressive escape room (Even the floor moved about to imitate being on an actual ship). The room had some very original concepts and was highly enjoyable. More importantly nothing went wrong. From this experience I have increased my review to 4 stars. A very good room. It also helped that we set a new record for that room! ORIGINAL REVIEW I have now been to 3 different rooms with Escape Peterborough. Although I have thoroughly enjoyed each time they have always been marred with some technical issues which has resulted in a fair amount of lost time. Maybe I've just been unlucky but I don't think I'd be using them again because of this.
