One of the best afternoons out I've ever had.
I fed the lambs and alpacas, got to ride on the trailer and watch the farmer count the cows. And then of course all of the info about War Horse was amazing. It's literally the most Devon, country thing ever, the museum is in an old barn! The history around the farm is so interesting.
We had some lovely snacks and refreshing drinks in the cafe, highly recommend!
Whilst I can see this being a predominantly family day out, I thoroughly enjoyed it at 26 with my middle-aged parents 😀
We went for lunch at the pub in the village (Duke of York) before hand and actually bumped into Michael Morpurgo himself. Great food and lovely locals!

Fantastic place to visit, not expensive, fresh home made cakes in the cafe even though its almost the end of the season also fabulous prices 2 coffee n cakes that was big servings only £10. A real education of how things work on a farm. All staff very friendly. It's a real gem best for price, food, clean toilets and facilities animals all very well taken care of. It was definitely something to pass on to anyone who visits the area. Took us 1 hour from Ilfracombe opens up at 2 until 6. A real jewel in Devon Crown.

Another fantastic visit. The kids love being on a working farm and getting close to a range of animals and birds. A lovely day out, reasonably priced with a lovely tea room serving local ice cream, cream teas etc.

Absolutely brilliant place. Relaxed and so full of things to do, very good value for money, including a 30 min tractor trailer ride for all. We had 8 grandkids there from age 18mth to 11yrs. Animal experience second to none so far, all seemed so gentle. Animal loving 9 year old said it was her best day ever! Will definitely come back again.

What a fantastic hidden gem. I took my nephew to visit on Friday and we both had the best afternoon seeing and feeding all the animals. The mini tractor play area was a big hit and the owners are so friendly and helpful. They even waited for us to finish our drinks and snacks so we could help feed the lambs and even took a photo for us. Fantastic value will definitely be back with my parter, neice and my sisters in tow! I wasnt able to go into 'trenches' so would like to do that too! Can't wait to see the baby alpacas! 😍

Fantastic place! Me and my boys had a lovely time. We came from Tiverton and was well worth the journey. The tractor ride was fab, we loved seeing and feeding the animals, and loved learning about the history of the place also. Came back with some lovely fresh veg which was a bonus too! Highly recommended =D

A place with full of life.rrally loved the greenery and enjoyed the nature a lot. A must visit place eith family especially children when you visit Cornwall.

Highly recommend a visit to this lovely farm for the whole family and it is dog friendly too - dogs are welcome everywhere (even the tractor ride!) There were lots of animals to see and many could be hand fed. The WW1 & war horse museum was very interesting, as was the talk Graham gave during the tractor ride and Rose's cake in the tea room was delicious. A very enjoyable afternoon all round, well worth the journey.

Fantastic little farm. Beyond worth the very small entry fee, the farm manager (didn't catch his name) was so insightful with his knowledge and cow safari tour. Being up close with all the animals really was great and the cream tea delicious. A nice added touch of football and golf on the field and snooker table tennis etc in the barn. We went on a very wet and rainy day and still enjoyed. Sadly not local or we would be frequent visitors! Fab for all ages
K. H.
Fantastic place. Very warm welcome and plenty of beautiful happy animals to meet & feed. Tractor ride great! Children loved the visit and will definitely be going back!

Amazing little farm great for animal lovers, lots of animals to learn about, beautiful tea room. Tractor ride was brilliant. Great prices and can take the dog, highly recommended

A celebration of British dairy farming. Open 14:00 - 18:00, at just £6 per adult this is a bargain. Plenty of animals on site for all ages to engage with, along with plenty of other activities (farm trail and games room to name just two). The highlight of the day for my family was the "Cow Safari", gathering in the herd to their afternoon milking and a tour of a working dairy farm. However, for me, the World War One museum was particularly poignant and housed a great collection of items. Thank you so much to the owners for opening their beautiful farm to the public.

Our visit was amazing - I absolutely cannot stress enough how much you have to go here. Our 2.5 year old loved every moment especially the children’s tractor circuit and watching the calves being fed.
There is so much to do and see and a lot of lovely and extremely well looked after animals!
The couple who own the farm are incredibly friendly and gave us a lot of interesting information and answered all our (probably silly) questions.
They also do a wonderful cream tea.
This visit was the highlight of our trip away.

Amazing place! Lovely people. Great afternoon out with the family. Lovely to see all the animals, kids fed the lambs and the Tractor Ride 🚜 was brilliant, my 2 year old loves Tractors and was thrilled and especially the cow round up! Delicious homemade cakes in their Cafe.

What a beautiful setting with family friendly activities. The whole family from 8yr old to grandparents enjoyed themselves immensely today. Cow Safari, feeding a variety of animals, go-karts (adult size!), the animal trek, tea room (delicious cream teas of course!), ping pong, pool, football, putting, and of course Joey himself! Best of all for me was the War Horse Museum. I could’ve spent much longer in there reading & watching everything. Brill day out!

Great way to see a working dairy farm in action, with the added bonus of a nature trail getting up close to the animals and wildlife, world War 1 exhibition including a trench. There are lots of smaller animals to see, a little play area, footie pitch and a tearoom for a fresh baked Devon tea yum!
L. M.
Great little place. Lots to do for all ages. Spent about 4 hours here, fed animals, enjoyed a walk, the museum, tractor ride, go-karts, all in all a fun dsy enjoyed by littlies, teens and adults. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good cream tea. Free parking.
C.
Really fun place to bring the kids... the tractor ride is a must (great fun and really informative), plus the cream tea was as delicious as you expect!
S. R.
Very calm place, with plenty of animals and a wonderful view! Staff are very friendly as well. Since we arrived early, we were even allowed to watch the sheep dog herd the donkeys and alpacas!
B. B.
A good insight to a working farm, a family showing the inner works and using tourism as a little extra cash. Cheap entry, cream teas etc available.
R. H.
Great family friendly farm. We loved the tractor ride and the non-sugar coated tour by the farmer.
The museum was very eye opening and well stocked with photos and war memorabilia.
We completed the walk and definitely recommend wellies!
The Cafe is lovely, they sell THE BEST Victoria sponge.
N. B.
What a gem! This is a proper working farm, with lovely owners. We enjoyed every aspect of the farm and the admission fee was well worth it. Perfect for all ages.
The scenery is something special, made even better as you can enjoy a cream tea at the same time. We missed the scheduled tour of the milking process, and being the only family to miss it, we thought we'd missed out. We were wrong, they kindly offered to take us and we were very grateful for that.
When we next have the pleasure of visiting this part of England we will definitely make time to visit again! Thanks for a fantastic day out!
S. P.
What a great place to visit, brilliant tractors trailer ride, some of the cutest animals, great cream tea and really friendly host will defo be back all for only £6 adult entry, superb

Great afternoon. 2 year old couldn't get enough of the tractors. Great tractor ride to bring the cows in for milking, a real farming experience. Real working farm Really knowledgeable and nice owners. The war horse museum was really interesting and added to a fab afternoon. The best farm visit in a long time.
C. S.
Great Afternoon on a working farm. Fed the Alpacas, sheep and goats. Went on a tractor ride which was run by the farmer and told us all about his cattle. Lovely tea room and Michael Morporgo museum. We'll worth a visit.
A. S.
Well worth going to, friendly people and beautiful peaceful setting. Lovely little tearoom selling cream teas.
C. H.
Second time we'd visited. Very slow service in cafe but food and drinks good when finally got. Very informative farmer though tractor trailer very over-full especially considering covid. Good value for money attraction. Enjoyed getting up close with the sheep.

Lovely people!! Great afternoon enjoyed feeding the baby lambs ! The gentleman who took us on the tractor ride was lovely! And the lady in the tea rooms lovely to and brilliant cakes were scrumptious!! Well worth a visit 5 stars guys ..... great experience loved it!!!

A proper traditional trip to a farm with no gimmicks. My kids are farm mad and loved their trip where they got to bottle feed lambs, feed and pet alpacas and goats and see various other animals as well as a proper tractor trailer ride! Good simple fun and they are already planning a return trip.
S. T.
Such a lovely place to visit, great for children and loads of things for them to see and do. The tea rooms serve great scones, 🎂 cakes and teas.
L. G.
Beautiful location for this wonderful farm. We were a big group and everyone was so welcoming. We walked the trail with everyone though it was a little too steep for some of the kids and they needed to be carried. The farm itself was amazing, so many animals that you can touch made it very hands on and the kids loved it. The tractor ride and milking were so informative and the calves were adorable.
E. W.
Really enjoyed the whole day and the kids had a great time. The gentleman taking us on the tractor tour was very knowledgeable and very entertaining. Would go again.
S. R.
We had the most fantastic day on this beautiful authentic farm! Both the farmer and his wife were exceptionally nice and welcoming , a wonderful day had by all -we will definently be coming back again!
S. R.
Lots to do. We ran out of time to visit the museum and enjoy a cream tea but really enjoyed the animals, pedal tractors, go karts, farm trail and the best tractor ride we have been on. It was very quiet and we were the only family on the tractor ride - it was like a personal tour of a working dairy farm, enjoyed by us and our young children.
I. R.
Great place to take our grandchild very interesting and owners are very nice. Grandson loved the tractor ride around the farm with lots of great information about farming life etc. We have been twice in two months defo going again.
A. S.
Absolutely brilliant afternoon. Low cost, lots to do, kids kept happy. Would definitely visit again

J. C.
Well worth a visit, it is a working farm with very friendly people. The farmer took us on a tractor trailer ride to see the cows being milked. We went on a wet day so take good foot wear. All the animals are lovely. The museum really takes you back to the WW1 and what the soldiers had to cope with.
A great afternoon.
N. H.
Brilliant afternoon spent here. Owners are fantastic, the Cow Safari is a must, learnt a lot and had a great deal of fun. Will definitely be back to explore the rest. Gorgeous location and views too. A must-see if you're in the area

Lovely experience despite the cold. We could not get our two year old twins to leave. Great tractor ride with insightful comments from the owner. The cream tea was delicious!
T. L.
What a hidden gem! Absolutely beautiful scenery, and the owners are so friendly. Such a refreshing difference from the busy, crowded theme parks. This is back to basics, traditional outdoor fun and learning. The kids absolutely loved it!
T. H.
This place is a glorious place to visit and the gardens are amazing as is the walk to the coastline. Well worth the visit and highly recommended.
S. S.
Relaxed atmosphere which allowed you to wander around at your leisure but with the opportunity to gain an insight into the hard work of running a dairy farm.
Reasonable entry price, farmer and his wife friendly and happy to talk and answer questions.
Lots of interesting exhibits about First World War and an interesting video from Michael Morpurgo about the inspiration for War Horse. The museum side is a little rough around the edges but I enjoyed the not-so-sanitised / commercialised nature of it.
You could happily spend a few hours here and there’s plenty to entertain children aside from the usual farm fare; quality pedal go karts, mini football pitch, badminton, table football, sand pit, swing, etc.
Tea room was very nice but the highlight for everyone was riding in the trailer with the farmer and his dogs bringing in the herd for milking at the end of the day. There was a viewing platform and we all learned a lot about organic dairy farming. We even got to help with feeding the calves.
The alpacas were a big hit as was ‘Bernard’ the turkey (though I do wonder if he’ll be there come the new year!).
Highly recommended and worth going out of your way for.
Y. M.
What a wonderful afternoon out. From the trail walk with Tom to the trailer ride to see the cows being milked, the museum, the alpacas, goats, ducklings and horses, everyone was so friendly, informative and entertaining. A delicious cream tea in the cafe to round everything off. If you would like to meet the cows that produce the milk for your Yeo Valley yoghurt, this is the place to go. 😀😀
T. G.
Fantastic farm with lots of animals including alpaca, sheep and goat feeding, tractor trailer ride, pedal tractors and more. Lovely little cafe selling local ice cream and delicious cakes. Our 2 year old loved it, as did his grandparents. Well worth a visit, a hidden gem!
