Great little spot for a picnic or walk. Especially when all is in bloom.

What a delightful place on our doorstep. A lovely wander through gardens that are well kept with many huge (old) trees. I will return to see it during different seasons. Thank you to the people who look after this little gem.

Harris Gardens is my favourite place on campus! It’s so so so beautiful, especially during the spring season when the cherry blossom flowers bloom and make this particular section of the gardens pink and absolutely worth visiting! There is a part where there is just one bench and trees on all the sides which helps me in restoring my calm when I’m stressed. In one part of the gardens, there’s a brook which flows and the view there is absolutely gorgeous! It’s sad that not a lot of students are aware about this beautiful place on campus!

A beautiful, peaceful place. So many varieties of trees and plants. Lovely space for walks and picnics. A real gem

Nature at it best! The garden has really been kept well. It was beautiful when it snowed and is even more beautiful now in spring with all the flowers blooming.😍

Very nice place for peaceful walks. Went there with family for a small walk and it iwaa refreshing. Not busy at all (I'm sure you know why looking at the date). Would recommend

A beautiful and tranquil place to get away from the hustle and bustle. Many unique species split across 'biomes' or specificly designed, well maintained areas. Not to be missed in Spring or Autumn especially!

My favourite park in Reading, so peaceful and a great place to picnic or read a book! Love it in spring when the blossom is out. Can park on campus during weekends and evenings.

Excellent place and blossom flowers and trees ,way and parking inside the Reading university

Peaceful and beautiful. It was such a surprise to find such an expansive, thoughtfully designed garden on a University campus. I loved the way that hedging was used to hide one part of the garden from another so that walking around, you are constantly surprised.
It would, perhaps, be good to have more benches dotted around - mostly to sit and enjoy the view, but also because the garden is so much bigger than anticipated. It would be good for those who need breaks to have somewhere to sit down every so often.
We want to go back in different seasons to watch the change over time. We will definitely be visiting again.

We absolutely adore these Gardens. Come rain or shine it is a beautiful place to go for a walk.

Beautiful location for a peaceful and quiet walk, with only one sometimes busy road on one border. Would be 5 stars however the pond and small stream have been dried up for more than half the year, all the ducks and geese that used to live there have probably migrated towards more moist pastures of residence. Also half the benches have suddenly disappeared, rendering it impossible to take a short break to view the intricacies of Harris Gardens. Other than that lovely place

Beautiful tranquil place, looking stunning this autumn

The great place to walk and relax.

Need to be clear how to actually get in, if your not a uni student or a teacher, there is no public entrance via wilderness road or pepper lane, you need to drive or walk in the uni campus follow the road all the way round close to the sience blocks then there is one entrance there. Cant wait to go in the summer, had a big problem finding it as no one mentions that its actually in the uni

It's a nice green space surrounded by the university and urban Reading with lots of space for a child to explore. Unfortunately its not clearly signposted and most sat navs don't take you to it and nearby parking is limited.

Stunning garden, plenty to see. The old oak tree was the highlight of the walk, I've never seen an oak so big. Took us 2 hours to have a good look around. Going to pop back in Spring to see the cherry trees in blossom.

An awesome garden to wander around. It's incredibly beautiful, and very well kept. It has a great variety of plants, woods, and open space. You can very easily spend an afternoon wandering through the garden. I couldn't believe a haven like this could exist tucked away like this on campus.
You have to visit, and it's well worth a number of repeat visits; it's a place I never get bored of.

Beautifully maintained gardens with a range of formal and informal areas, themed borders, and woodland glades. Maintained largely by volunteers .Great to wander around or to sit and relax on a sunny day. Seats provided around the garden, and a surprise round every corner.

They have great turn over for the plants, so it's fairly amazing year round, especially from spring to autumn. Always something new to see. The
Walled garden opens monthly.

Amazing Garden of University of Reading. Lots of plant varieties. The flower bloom in spring is mesmerizing. Since this is a private garden open for public there are no toilet or restaurant facilities
M. J.
Really lovely particularly in the Spring and Summer, lots of places for kids to climb trees.
C. S.
Beautifully maintained with so much diversity. Once something of a hidden gem, now far more popular with the public, through the pandemic.
