Reviews of Southlake

Absolutely beautiful lake for a walk around. It’s about 0.8mi per lap. The path is generally hard standing/gravel all the way around. The big bay, by the picnic area and playground, is a great spot to feed the ducks. The opposite end also passes the rear entrance to The Waterside pub, which is a dog friendly pub, perfect for a refreshing pitstop.

Lovely beautiful and peaceful walk watching wildlife and friendly dogs enjoying themselves. It takes about 20 minutes at a leisurely stroll to go all the way round with lots of benches to rest and admire the view.

Its a lovely pretty walk round the lake the kids love feeding the ducks and swans there is a very nice play area and a separate enclosed pond area and right next the lake is a lovely pub to finish off a good walk

Grew up in the area, easy access to play areas and Highwoods which used to be called Bluebell woods. Often used by Fishing also has a pub nearby while walking around was formerly known as the Thatchers.

Lovely little walk around the lake...takes about 20-30 minutes nonstop. Loads of wildlife. Peaceful and pretty.

Nice place, can be busy but is a good place to relax and enjoy some walking. Not to busy when I went.

Small lake walk, quiet bumpy in areas and can get boggy during winter/wet months. One end of the lake smells like sewage during warmer months - you've been warned! Plenty of ducks/geese/swans about to feed. There are quiet often dogs off lead around here, something to be aware of.

Lovely duck and animals and all.
