Reviews of Wyvern Theatre
N. “. H.
We visited here last night for Sarah Millican - Bobby Dazzler tour. The weather of late has been extremely hot and the auditorium was almost unbearable. I felt like i was being slow roasted.
The theatre itself was a great size. I'd say perfect for a panto or school show.
I didn't see much in the way of disabled access although i did see wheelchair users so there must of been some somewhere.
The theatre operates a pay/order now (pre show) and collect later service for intermission drinks which saves you time trying to scramble getting to the bar!
There is a split level inside, ticket sales, cafe, small ice cream parlour. Next stairs down are toilets. Followed by more stairs to the bar, larger ice cream parlour and entry to the auditorium.
Parking outside is pay and display. Even at 9pm there were parking inspectors checking for tickets so it is fully advisable to purchase one! Cash or phone app.
Toilets inside are plentiful but during intermission there was still the inevitable line out the door! Also the toilets had steps. Unfortunately i didn't see the disabled access toilet but I'm pretty sure they would have one given that the ladies has steps inside!
Drinks are moderately priced.
All in all, apart from baking in a human oven (wish i could give 4.5 stars) it was a lovely venue.

What a great show we saw. Not been here in years but the circus of horrors was amazing. Thank you for keeping the wyvern theatre open to show it.
D. C.
Very enjoyable evening. Watched Shape of you with my daughter and had a lovely evening. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Ordered our drinks for the interval to save time and would highly recommend this service. Saves time and gave us plenty of time before show started again. Not been to the Wyvern in a while but so pleased we have this on our door step. All amenities were clean. Well done, you have an amazing team.

Had a great evening. Meal in the restaurant, which was very good. Unfortunately we couldn't have our first choices from the menu as they were short on deliveries. What we had was well cooked and very tasty. Looked after very well by Summer, who was very professional, efficient and also good fun.
All followed by a Country Night in Nashville. This was really enjoyable, good musicians and singers.
Great night and keen to go back again

22/07/22 We had a meal in the restaurant before the show, the staff were lovely and so helpful as one of the party was in a wheelchair. The food was excellent and service was prompt. The theatre staff were also lovely and helpful too. The show Him & Me was fantastic.
D. R.
A great night at the " Mamma Mia" Event. Lovely food & great Service by our Waitress who couldn't do enough for us. If I'm being Picky, The Singers Costumes were a bit Basic looked like more of an effort could have been made. The Men were great with their moves considering there wasn't a lot of room for them to move around.
N. Y.
Lovely theatre, friendly staff, great to visit. It was incredibly hot in the stalls (during autumn) and we felt like we were very close together which made it worse. Over all though, very nice venue.
B. C.
Great venue, excellent rake to the seating so there are not poor views. All the staff very nice, courteous and helpful. Good facilities. The car park next to theatre makes it the ideal "go to" theatre.
M. W.
Went to the panto with 4 grandchildren, not cheap! I accept that merchandise and ice cream etc will be expensive but I get to make a choice. So called family tickets at £27 per head for everyone including a 3 year old is not on. I know I can make a choice but it's Christmas and I want to spoil my grandkids who I don't see that often (they live in the US). Staff and volunteers were all friendly and helpful, it's a nice venue.
P. G.
Calling Planet Earth, an '80s tribute band covering some of the greatest '80s classics from Duran Duran, OMD, Japan, Soft Cell amongst many others, was a night to remember. We were all dancing and singing along to the songs from the best decade for music. Go see and hear them!
S. D.
The panto 2022 was brilliant! Great cast and brilliant audience interaction. Only complaint was the temperature in the theatre. It was uncomfortably warm and very stuffy, especially in a packed out show.
P. H.
Went to the wyvern tonight to watch Beauty and the Beast. FANTASTIC performance was performed by all.Frank and his mum were so funny I had tears .The staff are so friendly. Absolutely awesome
B.
Good to see it's still going, the area needs brightening up to bring in the punters. Area looks run down grass growing in pavement not very inviting. The small things matter. Come on Swindon Council less money on roundabouts and traffic calming bumps and more on the appearance of your town, looks like no one cares. Sad sad sad.
S. P.
Great theatre, easy booking. Great staff. Seats have lots leg room. Not to big an auditorium
M. J.
Lovely evening watching Jimoein do stand up comedy. Helpful people. Fun to have front row seats. Good bar interval service.
H. G.
Always friendly staff. Our local theatre should be fully supported.
Great choice of shows throughout the year
w. p.
Beauty and the Beast was not a panto I had ever seen before but the amazing cast , superb singing and dancing were a welcome treat in these rather troubling times. Ooh la la Frank 👍👍
S. W.
We came to watch the Pantomime, which we always love. We only gave 3 stars due to the rip off costs of the food and drink! I brought a small bottle of Prosecco, a bottle of water, 2 bottles of fanta and 2 popcorn - £28.00!!!!! The Prosecco was £9! You can buy these in the Supermarket for £2.00! Just no need for that!
T. C.
booked to see the stand up comedian jim eion! Very nice venue was abit hot but other than that was easy to get in and find our seats, the staff were very helpful and friendly, we'd definitely come back again👌🏻
P. B.
Nice venue. Easy to park. Great staff... very pleasant and helpful. Refreshments good and not break-the-bank expensive. Had a great night out with more space and greater comfort than recent trips to Theatre Royal Bath or Bristol Hippodrome... well done!
n. s.
A really great place to watch music..
Great seats, really friendly members of staff, from the box office to the ladies selling the ice creams. I really had a pleasant trip to the theatre. To watch the Queen tribute band.
d. e.
Nice little theatre staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Ate in house restaurant food unfussy but well cooked and service very good. Eating in restaurant means you have your table for the night so can have drinks etc waiting for you at interval time. Great idea!!
S. P.
The Electric Ladies were excellent.
The theatre is nice. Great view. Comfortable seats. Unfortunately it was extremely hot. Didn't seem to have any aircon.
M. j.
Great theatre, we went for the pantomime a couple of weeks ago, it was a fantastic show.
k. g.
Our 21st year at the panto. Swindon you didn't fail to deliver. We loved it and laughed hard. Thank you
I. R.
Our first visit to the Wyvern. The theatre is clean and modern and the staff were very friendly. The show was first class. I am not sure if the air conditioning is fit for purpose, as it was very warm in the auditorium. The area surrounding the theatre is very run down. It was frustrating that I did not receive the promised 'E tickets' for the show and therefore had to arrive early to collect them from the box office. We are going to another show here soon and tickets have again not been sent. Perhaps management can investigate.
L. H.
Considering there has been no modernisation since I was a child (40+ years) it's still doing really well.
Watched a live concert recently and it was well organised but I would highly recommend installing air-conditioning to the auditorium as it became unbearable and uncomfortable after a while. Leg room also very slim
Staff however were very helpful and friendly
J. R. B.
Thoroughly enjoyed Steve Harley and his acoustic band. My husband first heard him at the Wyvern nearly 40 years ago! However - the sound quality was poor - initially too loud, adjusted a little after a couple of songs, but the sound was blurred so we couldn't distinguish the lyrics. (No I'm not deaf yet!)
Also - we were dismayed to see how neglected and unkempt the area outside the theatre was - weeds and grass growing along the railings and kerbs, the big flower tub full of weeds as well. Could some of the theatre's volunteers get together to put some life back into it? They were as helpful and smiley as always.
S. R.
A wonderful little theatre. Friendly staff. Comfy seats and plenty of social space. Love this place
L. H.
Great modern theatre, lots of parking around Swindon which makes it easier.
W. S.
Very good show but not much room to move. Also very stuffy
A. H.
Attended Six performance yesterday evening, brilliant show, very friendly helpful staff at ticket office as always ☺️
v. s.
Fabulous experience and what a wonderful cast for Beauty and the Beast. I had a thoroughly brilliant time.
P. G.
The show we saw was spectacular. Haven't been here for around 2 years now, but the special effects, lights, music and actors have cheered up my day. I won't forget this show for some time!
The actors, script writers, producers and set designs go great lengths, making everything a special night out. The ticket prices are great value for the entertainment.
J. B.
The theatre itself has several different areas with seating to wait for a performance to start....although generally modern the bar area has an intimate feel, although drinks are pretty expensive as one would expect.
Staff and ushers were polite and very helpful. We enjoyed the Rocky Horror Show and some members of the audience had become quite rowdy, but settled down so that we could continue to enjoy the show when a member of staff had a discreet word. Well handled 🙂
Lots of fun was had and we had a fabulous time.
I saw a play a couple of months ago and although a completely different type of production I would recommend this this theatre. Lots of parking close by as well
R. P.
Staff were polite and great service. Parking was a breeze given the car park was next door. Drinks and snacks were well priced and the seating was comfy even for someone at 6'4
C. M.
This theatre is lovely. I took my mum to see The Sons Of Pitches and had a VIP experience including canapes before the show and drinks.
The only let down was all the steps to get from the car park to the main entrance, there was a side accessible entrance but it was locked, probably because we got there early for our food.
l. b.
I went to the Mumma Mia show with a three course meal.
Very good entertainment, getting everyone involved.
Food was good, was served quicker than allocated times.
Staff were friendly
L.
Saw Strictly Here Come The Boys 😍last night. An absolutely brilliant, high energy show! The ushers are all lovely and very helpful.
G. B.
Nice theatre where it looks like you'd get a good view from wherever you sat. Seats were pretty comfy. Has a bar selling drinks and snacks. It was very warm but they do sell ice-cream
M. H.
Great atmosphere as it's not a big theatre, plenty of leg room on the seats. The show was good a Queen tribute band!
R. L.
Looks rundown on the outside of the building and uncared for but once inside, after a refurbishment a number of years ago and more recently, it is a nice venue. Great view from every seat no matter where you sit, but do not recommend sitting in Rows AA/BB as you are too close and look almost straight up right. Friendly staff, mostly too and good that the ushers are all volunteers making it a community theatre.
j. l.
Well it was amazing..I thought enjoy watching beauty and the beast..full of fun laughter and tears..thanks.
P. B.
Fantastic pantomime. All four of us had a great time.
M. S.
Very good loved the twelve days of Christmas brilliant
D. B.
Great show ' the 2 step dance show ' at a great venue, all performers of all ages were excellent
I. P.
First time and it was great friendly staff, pfe was great x
A. R.
A great auditorium to watch your favorite theater acts with wonderful sound system, together with a wide choice of food and drinks refreshments counters, easily accessible to everyone as it is conveniently situated at the Swindon town center. Two paid parking slots available below the theatre.
P. S.
Everything is run well in this local theatre, nice and clean. The seats are comfy enough for a couple of hours. There were a few elderly people that had to negotiate the many steps from the carpark to the theatre. I'm not sure if they have a separate lift or not or if they do it might of been out of order? Might be worth ringing and asking if you are planning a trip with someone elderly.
R. E.
Fabulous theatre, great shows and wonderful staff and volunteers. Love the Wyvern!
K. T.
I absolutely LOVE this theatre. Very friendly staff. Clean toilets. And a great easily accessible location in Swindon.
I love that the theatres are back up and running and very much looking forward to seeing the Pantomine with my family in December.
The stage is nice and big for all to see.
The stairs not too steep. The buzzing excitement and anticipation waiting for the band to start playing.. then the curtain lifting with a spectacular show...🤩
Love it. Can't wait! 😍😀🎭
A. B.
A good evening, the theatre was spacious and the play was excellent.
I. H.
Another fun family panto. Fantastic cast working hard to put on a great show. Never disappoints. Couldn't find out the length of the show before we went so took a photo with info inside.
H. R.
Show great, but Wyvern v tired and in need of renovation
L. L.
We ate in the restaurant. Food was lovely. But toilets were all broken. Theatre seats were uncomfortable. Booster seats were unpadded plastic.
Show was amazing 👏
A. F.
5pm performance of "Six" was brilliant and so good to see an almost full house!
S. K.
Wyvern Theatre in Swindon is Swindon’s little secret.... it’s small, it’s friendly, there’s a good seat wherever you sit. Been many times.
S. T.
I was in Swindon and thought I would check out the theatre. I was a little disappointed when I found it tucked away off the top of the High Street. Maybe I am a little spoiled in Northamptonshire but the building exterior was extremely tired and the general area was quire scruffy. All of our theatrres are in decent.locations.
J. S.
Clean facilities, offered booster seats for little ones. Staff very polite and helpful. Prices little expensive for food and drinks.
Great facilities. Local parking is very expensive.
H. S.
Production was excellent. Food and drink was over priced, and although we had ours delivered to our seats which was good, a warm wine is not so nice
C. W.
What a lovely theatre! Plenty of staff all very friendly, cheerful and helpful. Comfy seats. Saw Johannes -AMAZING, will definitely visit again.
I. B.
First time I've been to the Wyvern Theatre and I enjoyed it. I will definitely take a look at what else they have on and return in the future.
K. M.
Fantastic night at the panto, well worth going.
S. F.
Went to see Burn the Floor last night and it was brilliant! Despite having tickets to scan there was no delay and all of the staff were courteous and friendly. We wore our masks although a lot of people didn't as it's not a legal requirement but that's fine. We were happy to wear ours. The theatre is showing signs of wear and tear particularly the seat arms but it is clean and it's not surprising it's looking in need of an update because the money hasn't been coming in during the pandemic. It's just great though that we are now able to enjoy our theatre again and it was clear from the nearly full house on a Monday night that it was missed. A great show from Kevin Clifton and all of the other amazing dancers. We've seen in twice at the wyvern and would go again as it is different every time, to watch out for it when it tours again. But don't just wait for Burn the Floor, there's loads of other good shows coming so book a night out
R. M.
Really enjoyed my daughter's dance show, they were all really good. Top marks to Italia conti newbury.
K. L.
Great to be out again, enjoying live music by UK Pink Floyd Experience. Wyvern is a great theatre with a great uninterrupted view of the stage no matter where you sit. Wonderful helpful staff ensure everyone has a good evening.
M. G.
Visited with the wife and our 8 year old daughter on Boxing Day to see Jack and the Beanstalk.
Very friendly team of staff in the theatre showing you to your seats and serving at the bar.
Definitely a great time to see a Panto and enjoyed equally by all three of us.
Just a shame that the drinks prices were quite so steep.
Paid £7 for a Candy Floss and can of water.
Remortgaged for the wine and beer in the interval. 🙊
The show more than made up for it.
M. G.
The youth project show excellent pity that the auditorium was way too hot to fully enjoy the experience making it a very uncomfortable evening .
P.
Made my second visit to this Theatre since the Lockdown restrictions have finally lifted. They have a very fast and easy scanning system in place to ease the queues and make the admission process really easy. Although the staff still wear masks it’s now personal choice for the audience and many still chose to do so. Went to see the Rocky Horror show as I must say that the large flight of stairs up from the car park are quite a challenge in stiletto’s!! But I made it without a broken ankle. The auditorium is spacious and well laid out with good views of the stage as you would expect and I found the sound system good quality, having previously seen the show for Halloween last year it seemed that the set stage hands were having more issues than they did in London but overall the seats are comfy and a great overall experience.
S. D.
Always a great place to go, very clean and staff are so friendly.
F.
Lovely performance, nice staff
S. D.
Saw the wizard of oz as an Easter panto absolutely brilliant the cast put their hearts and soul into it Bobby Dravo was so funny and my 3 grandchildren were awestruck worth every penny just to see there enjoyment they were so happy and the staff are fantastic and so friendly can't wait to go back such a lovely family venue.keep up the great work.
A. G.
Great local theatre but drinks are pricey.
S. M.
Love going to the wyvern to see shows great little theatre staff very friendly has a well stocked bar and cafe, definitely recommend.
N. L.
Staff were friendly and couldn't be more helpful whilst we went to watch Fireman Sam Live! The ladies at door E (by the front rows) were amazing, moved us into a slightly different seat away from the stage speaker at the front. Appreciated it as my 3 year old wouldn't have been able to see!
M. H.
Excellent show would recommend and go again to see Women of Rock 👍
m. j.
The Wyvern Theatre easy accessible for disabled people you can go in and book tickets to see almost any show wonderful price is wonderful star a little Cathy to eat sandwiches cookies and cakes hot and cold drinks plenty to do also does children's activities sometimes during the holidays they have shows for children amazing place
A. M.
Great Theatre. Nice size and easy location
E. T. R. L.
The genuine welcome of the staff, their warmth and friendliness, make for a great experience from the outset. The auditorium itself is a great space, with good views of the stage from pretty much wherever you are.
T. V.
Great theatrical experience. Enjoyed Calling Planet Earth.
R. W.
Saw UK Pink Floyd , great to see live music again, a great night out.
C. S.
Brilliantg evening, staff friendly and helpful. Apart the men's toilets half out of order, like it last week the queues are very long at interval
S. M.
Excellent, very enjoyable pantomime.
T. B.
Well organised from arrival, excellent seats to watch the pantomime which was all we hoped for,
C. A.
Great Art group located in the lobby. Facilities are really good
J. W.
Dave Gorman yet again was stupendous! Wyvern never fails to impress!
J. L.
More impressive than I was expecting. I was pleased with how organised they were as I needed to change a ticket and it was so low-stress compared to what I've become used to from various venues. I would love to visit again.
M. T.
Very nice interior with clear views from every seat. Very ugly exterior. Shocked to see how few people were wearing masks both when seated and when moving around. Tanwood dance show was fabulous.
N. M.
Good to see the theatres open again. The Wyvern has done it's utmost to ensure anti-Covid measures are applied. The show I saw, Genesis Connected, was excellent despite being just half full. I guess some potential attendees are still wary of large gatherings in public buildings. Definitely worth a visit.
P. B.
Fantastic place the staff are very friendly and helpful my husband is in a wheelchair so well done to all concerned
C. W.
We do like the Wyvern Theatre, but on our last occasion to visit on Monday, the usherette placed someone in our seats, who had to move when we came into the auditorium 5 mins before show commenced, and we couldn't have a Light Bite Sandwich before the show as we were told that facility had been withdrawn, although we understand it was available the evening before.
J. W.
Good venue, clear view of the stage from all seating. Friendly and helpful staff. Fabulous variation of shows available.
m. s.
Lovely theatre staff excellent helpful and friendly..lots of steps not sure how the infirm managed ..never been as close to stage as these seats were.....fabulous show
T. W.
Easy to find with lots of parking nearby (arrive early for the closest). A good little cafe (arrive early to get a table) and a good sized auditorium.
T. O.
Lovely theatre - took the family to the Panto (Dec 2021) - we all (3 generations) enjoyed it 😅. But - oh it was SOOOO hot!! Please give us some air con - or a green solution would be to open the doors and let in some cool air!!!!!!
M. B.
Loved it , friendly staff , great show ,
c.
Small theatre with a great atmosphere 👍👍👍
A. P.
The theatre is great as are the staff. My gripe is the cost of refreshments, £8.30 for a glass of wine is a London price not Swindon. It puts me off going to the bar when I pay for a whole bottle of wine but only receive a third. I understand profit margins but this is ridiculous and greedy.
K. F.
Thoroughly enjoyed
Shape of you ,excellent performance 🎭
S. S.
Absolutely amazing night
S. P.
The show was very good but it got so hot and stuffy that people were becoming unsettled and lots of walking out and about. Detracted a little from the show itself.
G. B.
Great show by Doctor Adam laughed and cried will now buy his book. Short show but first time back into a Theatre mask worn until we sat down. Very well run helpful lady found me a mask as I forgot mine . Well done wyvern
A. I.
Good clean facilities can do with more modern entrance area for example make it feel welcoming and not cold with school style tables and chairs, think theatre sofas etc. no plastic pls.Better lights more theatre like.
E. D.
Great night out. Plenty of parking around the venue. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant great. Good ventilation in the stalls.
S. S.
Saw Pam Ares with my daughter. Excellent. Staff are very good. But the theatre seats still very uncomfortable way to close together. As a walking disabled person I always suffer. Going again to see a Pink Floyd band unfortunately partly spoiled by seats. Hey ho! Thats Swindon!
D. F.
Brilliant show
P. W.
Needs air-conditioning!, but great to see a show again at the wyvern!
Kitty lang dance school put on a great show.
Shame the first show had to be spoilt by a screaming brat and the incompetent parents ,and uncle! , who accompanied them .
Luckily security moved them so everyone else could enjoy the show.
If you can't conduct yourself in the correct manner, or you can't control your children, then don't go ! , you just ruin it for everyone else.
S. W.
This was the first time I have visited the Wyvern and I wasn't disappointed. The theatre is well set out and is comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
M. B.
I have always enjoyed going to the Wyvern theatre, not least because , as a short person I never have a problem seeing the show as the seating is good.
My disappointment this time was that the usual icecream tubs have been replaced with scoops and having been told flavours, and neither knowing or seeing that they now have a freezer where you choose , chose vanilla. Took one mouthful and it seemed ' watery ' and left a horrible taste in my mouth. Turned out it was plant based!! No choice for that flavour. My friend had honey and ginger- it was like it had sand in it very gritty. £ 3.80 each for inedible ice creams. Bring back Marshfield ice cream if equally expensive at least it is edible.
N. L.
Great show, lovely and polite staff. Perfect views. Drinks are a bit expensive.
D. S.
Passed by outside, couldn't go in, they were closed, but I'm sure I'll be back to visit again.
D. P.
Great show with helpful and friendly staff
r. p.
I've been here many times. It's aleays a plesent evening. The theatre is quite small but this does mean that there are no bad seats. Even right at the back you will still have a good view. Also the acoustics in there are some of the best.
Access is good, near many car parks. The toilets were clean.
They have a decent bar for refreshments. But there is only one so it can get busy at pre-show drinks and at the interval. The staff are always helpful, polite and welcoming.
There is normally a good variety of entertainment through out the year.
I would highly recommend.
A. C.
Seats are too small and not enough width to spread your wings. But more bums on seats make much needed ££pounds.
A. S.
Great theatre with good friendly staff but looking rather tired now.
Bar and food is rather expensive for what you get.
M. A.
Went to the Wyvern last night for the first time and the staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. A lovely venue and will definitely go back.
M. W.
Great little theatre, online booking system straight forward and easy to use, check in was simple with the use of e-tickets and QR codes, place well ventilated, clean and tidy, however no extra spacing between seating everyone tightly packed together
J. S.
Great pantomime good time had by all
G. W.
Always a good venue. Pleasant staff. A great evening being entertained by John Illsley.
R. W.
We watched the panto there and it was far too hot. Lovely theatre and great atmosphere but so unbearably hot.
C. J.
Staff were very helpful and my the experience enjoyable 😉
D. W.
Am I reviewing the theatre or what I went to see ? Actually i am going to review the theatre. So the theatre dates from 1971 and had a refurbishment in 2007. What I like about this theatre is that it holds 600 odd people and that you are no more than 70 ft from the stage where ever you are sitting in the theatre, which is nice as at list you can see what you paid to see without any difficulty. Sound wise it's not bad and the production we saw I had no problems hearing the cast and the music that was being played. Sadly the fabric of the building does need some love, otherwise a nice town theatre.
R. J.
Great night watching Wilko Johnson, unfortunately the bar card sales system broke leaving thirsty disappointed people and big queues and to much crowding need to be able to take cash in this situation. It was eventually sorted .
t. g.
We saw the electric ladies show and it was absolutely amazing 😁
C. T.
Very nice venue with a good view wherever you sit. Nice bars and easy local parking too.
P. C.
We ate before the performance this time, limited but ok menu. It was busy so order took longer than usual, but glad to see them doing a good trade. Recommended if you are attending a performance here.
Update 5th March 2022 - returned for 1st time in 2 years. Disappointed that no extra ventilation measures in place, all doors closed.
r. d.
Great pantomine but more for kids
T. O.
Top class cover band, great local venue.
Shame no compulsay mask wearing.
Venue needs support to remain at the top of its game. Staff excellent.
A. Y.
Attending lots of their shows this yr with work. Staff friendly and can't do anymore to help us with our wheelchairs. Theatre always clean. Unfortunately the walk round through town is a trek and a half to get to the top level with a wheelchair. Would be good if a lift was installed.
a. c.
Watched peppa.pig was great! The peppa.pig Toys and baloons were very pricey though!! But my 1 year old daughter loved it
C. P.
Nice theatre for small productions. About time Swindon had a new theatre though. It would bring a lot more tourism if it was larger and more upto date. This however doesn't put me off going, in need of a new sound system. I love the Christmas panto. Also see a few tribute acts which were very good.
G. C.
It's a concrete monstrosity on the outside but a really rather nice theatre inside. Staff were all really friendly.
P. M.
A good location to go watch standup, not too big so wherever you sit you get a good view. Gets a little hot in summer. The bar has a decent selection of drinks a crisps. Staff are all very helpful. Ice cream stand is brought out at the interval. Seats are comfy but not the most spacious.
s. c.
Good evening out, good to see a live show again, only let downs were the drinks pre order didn't work (to stop queues at the bar)and no air flow (which I thought was a covid requirement ?).
A. G.
Great little theatre, comfortable seating. Been quite a few times. I think I park in the wrong place as the steps to get up there are never ending! Little bar for pre show drinks, overpriced though. The staff are very friendly and helpful with pre- ordering tickets to be picked up at the box office on arrival
S. E.
On the plus side this is a small venue with good sound and great staging. The seating has ample leg room and you get a good view from just about anywhere. Parking is also closed by and ample. On the downside, the outside of the venue doesn't look great and inside the facilities are a little tired.
Still a nice place to spend a few hours
A. H.
Great theatre. Very helpful and friendly staff. Will come here again.
H. H.
Went to the Boxing Day afternoon Pantomime performance with our disabled son. The Show was great fun. Non-stop music and dance with lots of lively audience participation. Just right for a children orientated family Xmas outing. The Attendant Staff could't have been more helpful assisting with a wheelchair user. Thoroughly recommend the show for a family outing.
I. P.
I have been visiting this theatre since I was a young child in the 70s. One of my favourite theatres, even though it's quite small, the do a good job putting on a wide variety of shows to cater for all tastes, they even attract some very big names. Love it, the staff are very helpful and have always had a great experience on every one of my couple of hundred visits. Definitely recommended.
J. M.
Loved the show. Volunteer ushers very friendly and efficient.
Easy parking
M. C.
The staff were fantastic. As I had arrived with out my tickets. They were so helpful. The show was a Birthday present for my granddaughter. Horrible Histories. We were soon sorted and settled into our seats. When the show finished I had no way of contacting my lift home . The tickets were in my phone case that I had left in the car. The staff let me use their phone twice. They saved the day for us .
C. W.
Great venue, easy to find with convenient parking. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great evening out.
S. K.
Fantastic local theatre. You always get a great view and the staff are brilliant.
P. H.
The Wyvern Theatre is a good facility within Swindon that attracts good productions and comedy acts. Generally speaking in my opinion the whole facility feels dated and looks like it really needs an overhaul to cater more for modern audiences. It's not bad in there at all just needs some investment to make it more inviting.
M. H.
Inside the theatre was excellent good views of the stage from all seats. Very helpful staff.
Appalled outside at 'homeless city' tents all over begging on steps and car park. very dark and frightening. This was a children's theatre show and I was fearful for anyone outside the venue. The council need to fence it off and put security in place at least!
m. b.
Great performance venue. Although most very friendly staff, never have I seen at a venue where ushers let late comers back, alone unaccompanied. Last night 2 very rude people, pushed past the 1st/A row and interrupted the performance, without any apologies. This left a bitter taste amongst some of us. Normal it would be standard practice for ushers to accompany later returns from interval break, at multiple venues I've visited before. Something I recommend management investigate.
S. T.
Not bad. It's very dated and squished in but I guess that's not too different from most theaters. Prices for drinks and snacks are expensive. There are several car parks near by (pay and display). Overall it's just ok. Definitely in need of a refurbishment.
A. C.
Do not be disturbed by it's the Brutalist architecture of the outside, the inside is one if the best laid out theatres you could imagine. Large but intimate where everyone gets a great view. If you have mobility issues, no not be alarmed by the mountain of stairs at the front. There is very easy access to the auditorium and other facilities from a second entrance at the side - ask for details if unsure.
A fantastic venue.
R. S.
First time at this venue. Really lovely experience. Every seat is relatively close to the stage and acoustics superb.
Only thing to mention was that it was very warm in the auditorium.
R. P.
Good show but still a very uncomfortable place
P. K.
Great actresses and actors. We always enjoy watching a pantomime, whenever I go there with my daughter.
P. M.
Nice place. Friendly staff. Seats OK if a little cramped but I am very tall. Only real disappointment was having one member of bar staff on so long queues and being charged silly prices for the drinks. Otherwise nice. The show we saw was very funny and really enjoyable. Stage stuff all worked fine and the auditorium was good.
B. G.
This theatre is over 30 years old and so it's accessibility involves a lot of stairs but there is a lift if you ask. Very nice commissionaire escorted a lady with limited walking ability to the lift at the end of the performance. Parking is mostly 2 levels below the theatre entrance. Two snack bars and free water.
t.
It's nice place to take your family out to the theatre ..nice and friendly ..have watched many shows here. ..merry Christmas wyvern theatre..🌲⛄🙂😄
D. K.
It was a great pantomime this year
G.
Amazing local theatre. Quite large for a town theatre in my opinion.
There is both a snack and drink bar and a cooked food selection is available 90 mins before a show.
Concessionary tickets are available for disabled guests, discounted ticket and a free carer ticket. Disabled toilets are available and a disabled entrance.
S. S.
Attended the pantomine, Jack and the beanstalk, had an amazing time ,cheered me up no end .Well done to all in the cast and the brilliant louie spence .
P. N.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Went to see 80's mainia who where absolutely brilliant a really good night out
N. F.
Just seen The Gruffalo on stage. Brilliant production, both my 4yo & 7yo grandsons loved it. It's a bit different to the book & TV film, with people in costumes, songs & pantomime elements. But the story is the same, with familiar lines that everyone can join in with. Great fun!
G. H.
A very good, mid sized theatre. Bar that takes card - pint of cider and a large red wine cost £10.30 (October 2017)
Reasonable sized public car park at the foot of the theatre costing £2 after 18:00
S. D.
We travelled to see the very fabulous band The Blue Jays here, good venue for being up close to performers.
Theatre gets VERY hot!!!!
Having never been there before we used the seating plan to choose seats. Booking early we had virtually the whole theatre to choose from.
We chose Row E as it showed a clearly wider gap / walkway immediately in front of it. On arrival - no such facility, seating plan does NOT reflect the seating layout so really disappointed. 😣
Great band, ok venue.
G. C.
Was a great evening. The staff were friendly and service was quick in the bar.
C. B.
As always friendly staff
But why when it was closed for so long for asbestos did they not pull it down start again make it bigger so we could get more of the great shows bristol and Oxford get as an avid theatre goer I find this so infuriating
A.
Fantastic show tonight with Rock of Ages. It was truly amazing. Very hot though as the aircon was broken, but it didn't stop me and my hubby having a good time in the front row singing, cheering and clapping along.
W.
Extraordinarily polite, helpful, professional, friendly staff. Small theatre with good views. All seats quite close to the stage. Reasonable pricing. Lots of car parking very close by.
G. D.
Have visited here several times over the last few weeks, visit one was to see an ELO tribute band, two was a Michael Jackson tribute and third was to see a Sherlock holmes play.
The box office/foyer us clean an tidy and the staff are really friendly and helpful, the cafe area is clean and tidy and the coffee tastes good too and is reasonably priced.
From the rear of the theatre is the disabled ♿ entrance, again the staff are very helpful.
Inside the theatre it is very clean and tidy, though if you're a tall person you might find the seats a tad tight on the old knees.
The Wyvern is a lovely little theatre and they do have some great shows on especially the panto (our tickets already bought).
We'll be back for some more shows before that though.
My score 7/10
K. R.
We'll organised and managed. Band was great, took us back to the 80's, great night.
J. C.
This is a lovely provincial theatre. The staff are friendly, helpful, and flexible. The seats are remarkably comfortable with enough space for reasonably tall adults (I am over 6' /1.84m). The performance of the Aladdin panto was very entertaining. For several of us it was the first time we'd seen Adam Woodyeatt in panto and he was excellent, couldn't be further removed from East Enders. Parking has always been a difficult exercise at the Wyvern, but the addition of a few extra spaces has helped a bit. A thoroughly good time had by all.
J. F.
I'll break this revue in two parts. The show I saw, children from my daughter's dance class performing sets, was amazing. So much effort and talent from kids between around 3 and 15...staggering.
Now the theatre...the Borough council should hang thier heads in shame. The outside of the building is a disgrace, overgrown weeds all around it,on the external walkways and steps, smell of urine from drinks at night in places and as the signage for the toilets...if it was any more cryptic it would have been quicker to drive home.
K. B.
I came here to see the Kentwood choir they was very good as always I have been listening to them for many years
R. S.
Went to see the Drifters brilliant performance four good singers. If you can well worth going to see 2 plus hours off pure entertainment
N. S.
The Wyvern is a good venue for the Pantomime, which was quite entertaining this year especially the second half.
J. P.
Went to 'The Lady Vanishes' - great production. Fantastic little theatre with a restaurant and cafe inside, good comfortable seating with good views to the stage. Easily accessable by car, train or bus with hotels and restaurants nearby.
K. S.
Great theatre acoustics are brilliant very friendly staff and some really top acts and artists perform their a great place for entertainment.
I.
Nice place to catch a show, unfortunately the facilities are not really built to handle the volume of people that normally attend and as such you will always be queuing to get a drink or use the toilets unless you leave during the performance. Otherwise this is a great little venue.
Y. C.
This theatre is really at the centre of the community. Their programme has something for everyone from touring international ballet companies to kids shows like the Grufalo. We have also been to watch Russel Kane and The Pub Landlord. Local talent is also showcased too. There is a recital series featuring concert pianist Paul Turner which is teamed with a tasty afternoon tea in the restaurant.
Friendly knowledgeable staff, a well stocked bar, an ice cream parlour and restaurant.
D. B.
The wyvern theatre is a nice small town theatre. All the seats have a good view of the stage for anything happening at the front or at the back in the middle. If there is anything happening at the rear of the stage on one side then you will not see it if you are sat near the front on one of the sides. This is not a problem for most shows but for shoes with large cast numbers it is something to be aware of. Seats are pretty comfortable and I had enough leg room I am six foot. Be aware that there is a safety bar at the front of the circle which could be on your line of sight of you are less than 5' and in the front row of the circle. The theatre is a short walk from both the bus station and the railway station and car parks are nearby.
J. S.
Just wish the chairs were more comfortable - just can't get comfortable as no real leg room
J. D.
Very nice place, but, we were at a performance of 5 & 6 year olds singing, lots of parents who had younger and older siblings with them, the ropes which shut everything apart were supposed to come down at 3.15, this did not happen as they had to be removed by a duty manager, they were eventually removed at gone 3.30, this did not bother me but, there were several parents with children wanting to use the loo, but staff would not let them go because the ropes had not been removed, you cannot expect young children not to use the toilet, disgraceful. Three stars because of this, the staff could have been more helpful and let the children go.
C. S.
A reasonably sized theatre. Good view of the stage from most seats. Well staffed and they are friendly. Food, drink and merchandise is a bit pricey though
i. b.
Fantastic show, thought the venue is a little tired. Venue staff very friendly and accommodating. Had family meal in onsite restaurant. Some meals were ok (ie chicken and chips) but others such as katsu burger were disappointing and lacking in taste. Asked for and was given more Katsu source, but it was served cold in a small source bowl and tasted nothing like any Katsu curry we have ever had. Tasted more like a cheap non brand imitation.
Otherwise a great show and family experience.
M. K. P.
One and only theatre in Swindon I guess.Very nice atmosphere.
P. Y.
It was a fantastic experience parking there. The parking spaces were pretty evenly spaced with no problems in the disabled area. The road condition was good so spilling anything was covered. All round a good, safe place to park!
N. S.
Watched the panto with my daughter and granddaughters. Lovely, comfy seats and boosters for little ones.
L. C.
Brilliant night watching Luther UK act. By the end if the evening everyone was on their feet dancing. Even the sound and lighting guys showed off their move. Really recommend this show.
z. j.
Great shows and lovely staff x
s. m.
Snacks are expensive but they're in all theatres. Fantastic performance and great building.
G. T.
Good local theatre. All seats have a pretty good view. Pre-show is quite good and well priced. Well varied program with most of top comedic acts coming on tour
C. H.
Good show
N. W.
Usually puts on a great show.. venue holds something like 600 people which on a hot summers evening makes it very very warm inside, certainly doesn't feel air conditioned. Tip. Take a fan.
G. R.
Lovely theatre always clean and with friendly staff, don't be fooled by the outside, while it looks quite small and a little dated it's a cosy and comfy and they have great shows and performers
L. A.
Went to see sleeping beauty with my daughters school as a helper, the panto was one of the best I have seen! We were allocated fantastic seats with a great view and staff coykdnt have been more helpful!
K. R.
Central location with parking immediately beneath the theatre. Parking is pretty expensive and the payment machine only accepts coins. When I last visited, a homeless chap was kind enough to inform that the car park is free after 6pm - information that I believe is on the website but which is not on the car park signs! Wheelchair access is available to the theatre via a slope. Stairs leading directly to the main entrance are also available. The theatre and car park is in a very central location with fast food restaurants and the town centre just a short walk away.
M. L.
Always like using this theatre. Has a reasonable bar and cafe and staff are pleasant and welcoming. Cost of evening parking is cheaper after 6pm and free on Sundays.
I. C.
Loved the show but thought £2.50 for a scoop of icecream was a bit excessive. Theatre itself was kept nice and clean. Staff very friendly.
B. W.
Friendly welcoming staff and the show was amazing xx
M. A. W.
Took two small Nephews (11mth & 2.5yr) to see Peppa Pig... they had a fab time. To watch and hear them having a fab time...their Mum and l had a fab time! The puppets (& handlers) were excellent!! Great audience participation! 👍🏻
However....marred by the Shows request of £17 per Adult !! Plus only a couple of pounds cheaper for the toddler (who sat on Mums lap most of the time, as the seat was too low even with a booster) and the baby who was only just let in free, as his first birthday is this week coming, was on my lap throughout so he could see too and clap his hands joining in!
Plus, the cheapest toy on sale being £9! So my Birthday surprise...turned out a mega expensive treat! 👎🏻
S. R.
I perform here occassionally, so I can only provide info about backstage. Dressing rooms can get very hot during show times in the summer. Ok green room and easy access to wings. Be careful though - the door slams.
I. S.
Easy to access the theatre plenty of parking ... Real reason for the 5 stars were the three Joes, Josh and Mide ... Aka The Sons of Pitches ... Acapella singing at its best ... Modern and classical, Babymetal - Karate to Nessun Dorma - Puccini. Just brilliant!!
A.
An excellent small venue where I saw David Baddiel. Friendly, helpful staff and a good beer selection.
S. C.
Really enjoyed my visit to this theatre and I will definitely be back. Clean and tidy with friendly employees.
Y. H.
Always a good experience here. Great variety of shows and friendly helpful staff
Small cafe and separate bar which is sometimes a little busy but thats understandable. Overall a great little venue.
K. P.
I never knew anything related to theatre. But being at the Wyvern theatre was really awesome. It’s like my google map spot find right in the heart of the town. Very convenient parking and surrounding. One should always have an theatre experience.
J. H.
This is the first time I have visited the Wyvern Theatre. My sister & I travelled from Newport to see Rip It Up. It was very easy to find & park & the Theatre was a lovely small Theatre where you are able to view the stage from any angle.
L. S.
Went to see the Panto, seats were great with and excellent view of the stage!
M. F.
It's a nice place, for small theatre experiences
n. a.
Love this place, but be aware of you book seats AA or BB you will crane your neck to see the act, as the stage is next to your knees. Really nice cosy theatre, clean and has polite staff
S. M.
The theatre itself is pretty good, parking right by it, easy access in and out of the building. Some of it is a little dated decor wise. The main bar area is nice tho.
J. C.
Really good provincial theatre. The parking has improved. The seating is okay. We watched a good performance of Aladdin and nearly everyone enjoyed it.
s. p.
We went to see dreamboats and peticoats great show But as my husband is deaf we borrowed one of the sensiser loops complete rubish he could not hear anything said but felt the music and as he knew every song clapped along. This isn't the first time at this theatre and he had the same problem with the hearing loops although they were different, it's about time things were sorted for deaf and hard of hearing people,he would have liked to see a play No point is there.
B. N.
Just arrived home December 5th 2015 from the pantomime , Snow White and the 7 dwarfs, what can i say? it was fantastic with lots of audience interaction. A great show and would highly advise people to visit.
We visit Pantos every year and this has to be the best ever.
A. S.
Really enjoyed Peter Pan, the most interactive pantomime we've been to. Fairly small theatre but that just means a great view from any seat.
M. A.
Just attended Aladdin this afternoon with our six grandchildren. Very much enjoyed by all! We come every year. Expensive but children enjoy it so worth it.
p. t.
Hi me and my partner went to the liverpool legends night and had a great night meeting the legends! Unfortunately when i went to the bar and ordered two bottles of Pepsi max and two tubs of Sahara spicey nuts and was charged £12 but when my partner went up during the interval and was charged £4.50 for just one tub, the prices are very inconsistent as it would of worked £9 for the nuts and just £3 for Pepsi.
There was no price list is available for snacks at the bar either!
L. l.
Lovely theatre love the atmosphere and you can see the stage clearly, only down fall the place does not seem to have air conditioning and if it does it isn't good at all
H. A.
My daughter and I had a wonderful time at the Wyvern. We enjoyed the show and realised that wherever you sit in the theatre you can see all what is going on. Highly recommended
L. G.
The whole night was a lovely experience the food was lovely the service by the staff was excellent at the Swindon Rendezvous will be visiting again x.
J. C.
I very much enjoyed the pantomime this year but sitting in seat F2 and my friends behind me in rows G & H agree, the music through the speakers drowned the words of the singers in the louder song numbers. Also, trying to buy an icecream in the interval was difficult with only one person serving from one sales point, I gave up which was better for my waistline! I appreciate it was a matinee performance with lots of school children whose icecreams were pre ordered, so the demand to buy was not likely to be large, perhaps there was a stock problem at the sales counter.
B. S.
Recent shows we have seen have been good including the Mousetrap. Down side to Wyvern theartre is the mixer and controll panel they use for the sound system. It is placed at the back of the stalls seating area in the middle . This means that if you are in seating at the rear of the stalls or on the "balcony" area you have the bright light from the computer screen and operators phone in your line off view. Which is most distracting . We found yesterdays performance off the Mousetrap very good on the whole. But the light from the computer screen and the mixing deck very off putting and the sound of children screaming and shouting in a room that had been let out else where in the building at the same time that they were puttimg on a performance of what is a relativly quiet play was annoying, and spoiled the enjoyment of the play.
The theartre would be better if the computer screen and mixung decks were moved to the side or very rear top seating area of the audatorium . That way paying customers can truly enjoy a performance.
R. H.
Fab theatre. I have been here twice now, once for a pantomime and once for a concert. It works so well for both. Small enough to feel intimate, big enough to feel grand.
D. C.
Very well organised, ushers was very helpful and welcoming. Overall great experience. 👍
J. r.
Great show and Staff. Comfy seats with good views of the stage :)
M. P.
Had some great nights at the wyvern theatre. I'm my opponent there isn't a bad seat in the house. Always feels like a more personal experience then a larger theatre.
A. C.
Went to watch aladin the pantomime, it is our 4th consecutive pantomime at the wyvern, Adam woodyat is always value for money, it was well worth the time spent. All seats have good views, but I would not recommend the boxes as they were only about 5 feet behind us, and the view would have not been a lot better if at all, we would definitely recommend a visit to the wyvern theatre
M. H.
Apart from being real hot . Watched a great dance show no queuing friendly helpful staff , was able to go out for fresh air and back in no problem.
Very organised. Fab night definitely recommend
Ample parking
R. S.
It was a great show, the members of staff were friendly and helpful.
l. h.
Awesome, just Awesome. Staff and volunteers brilliant and dazzling as always .
S. M.
Very friendly, welcoming and comfortable theatre. Brilliant evening. Visiting with work so plucked ùp the courage to go out on my own rather than stay in the hotel watching tv.
F. G.
Brilliant panto this year!
K. S.
Show was awesome. Theatre is a little tired looking
M. B.
I should go more often than I do. Great show today "The Girl on the Train. Great performance by all, stage and sound effects also great.
I. A. C.
The Wyvern is a great theatre, though the seats would be too small for a larger person, and has parking literally by the steps. The steps are painted in rainbow colours for the Swindon LGTBQ community, too!! 🏳️🌈
M. F.
Great atmosphere very friendly staff and all in all a great night
J. M.
A small theatre that could do with installing either air-conditioning or fans, my third experience of overheating, and I am very heat tolerant. Show was brilliant though.
R. G.
VERY GOOD SHOW AND EXCELLENT TIME LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF IT CAN'T WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR 😀
N. S.
Great to be back at the theatre. Not a bad viewing seat in the auditorium .
J. R.
Love the Wyvern. Some really good shows but the seating needs updating. Can get really uncomfortable at times. We'd go a lot more if not for that
J. H.
Saw Giovanni Pernice and it was an amazing all round show
N. S.
Wonderful evening in the presence of a great footballer, could have listened for many more hours. Restaurant was really good, relaxed, nice food and excellent staff.

P. W.
Went to see recording of I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue. Ordered drinks for interval. All good. It's a theatre. Like most theatres I've been in. Does what it's supposed to
M. B.
Very good night out. Had an indulgent package and I would say is worth the money. Would have been 5 stars but the toilets need attention
J. W.
The wyvern is a decent theatre that has many good acts throughout the year. xmas panto is very good every year that has some form of celebrity such as adam woodyatt, nigel havers and good old keith chegwin (god bless ya cheggers). the chinese state circus was absolutely amazing. the theatre itself hasnt changed much over the years but has its own character and typifies what an old school british theatre should be. it is clean and tidy, the staff are friendly.
b. s.
Perfect medium size theatre ,creating a great atmosphere.
L. E.
Only booked tickets, however the lady on the desk was totally amazing and helpful. Give her a pay rise!
F. D.
No bad little venue. The seats are a little snug though.
L. J.
Great venue, with good views of stage.
C. O.
Great local theatre. Friendly staff. Bar is always a bit slow. Excellent choice of productions throughout the year.
M.
Great Christmas panto
P. D.
Show fairly good, but much to loud
d. s.
Building is a little dated now. Good variety of shows and reasonably priced compared to similar venues.
S. H.
Watched "purple rain". Was an amazing show with a live band and talented singers. Ushers were friendly and helpful.
r. g.
Great night out. Really enjoyable experience.

The staff and volunteers couldn't have been more helpful lovely to be back at the theatre
T. B.
FELT SAFE AND WAS REALLY FRIENDLY STAFF AND THE BAND WAS AMAZING. WOULD RECOMMEND YOU TO SEE THEM Genesis connected
M. K.
Unfortunately the speaker stacks do block a little of the view if you are sat on the outer ends of the row. Other than that a really enjoyable evening.
E. K.
Excellent atmosphere. Staff above and beyond expectations. Clean and tidy. Everyone friendly. Aladdin was brilliant to watch.
S. E.
CRH absolutely Fab u lous, amazing, professional & stunning performance.

Jack and the beanstalk was a fantastic show!! The whole family loved it!!
D. Y.
The lift was extremely small and struggled to fit 1 wheelchair in, but this was overcome by the lovely helpful volunteers there. A great place.
K. T.
The Sound of music was fabulous. The theatre need more bar staff but apart from that it was a great evening.😀
R. C.
As always clean,well staffed,and a great performance.
P. C.
Great night out Only Fools and Horses themed meal in the spotlight room. Excellent show good food service a bit slow but didn't spoil the evening.
W. A.
Went to watch greatest showman and Hollywood songs. The technical issues need to be ironed out, lights, sound etc. But an enjoyable evening.
G. L.
Nice venue in the town centre. Reasonably well laid out inside too. Not a huge amount of legroom, but better than some !
A. R.
Very well organized and welcoming. Amazing show!
K. D.
The Wurzels tonight was let down by very poor sound quality...disappointed but still enjoyable set from them as always...hope this is sorted by the time we see A Country Night In Nashville in January.
K. B.
Went to see The Bohemians absolutely brilliant xxx
P. S.
Love the concert last it first time in the wyvern theatre the only thing I did find that it was very expensive in the drink and snacks but over all would come again 😊🍀
G. 0.
I went to see the ELO Experience. It was a fantastic evening, they're a brilliant band and I'd definitely go and see him again!
T. K.
Festival of the Deads rock orchestra by candle light was amazing. 100% would see it again!
N. C.
A experience not usually had, it was ok
M. S.
There for my daughter's dance show. Staff were lovely and helpful both while helping backstage and watching out front.
R. B.
Visited here for my little girls ballet performance. Nice fairly small venue, bar with snacks etc... Prices are standard town centre prices.
J. C.
I went to watch Sleeping Beauty. It was an amazing experience 1st time in a very long time. Definitely going to go again next year.
D. G.
We went to the last night of the Christmas Panto .... we were visiting from the States and it was my husband's first Pantomime experience and he loved as well as myself and our 2 year old grandson

M. J.
Love, love, love this place. Fantastic shows and the staff are so friendly. Bar prices are reasonable.
P. C.
Such a great time last night. The restaurant food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and attentive throughout.
T. T.
the circus of horrors was again a good watch and would be back to watch it again when back in Swindon wyvern theatre
M. W.
Nice little theatre brilliant band (Illegal Eagles) in a dreadful part of Swindon. Looked like somewhere you would see in Back to the Future when Biff ruled!!
T. J.
It's a very nice theater with good access and pay-and-display parking next door. The only thing that spoils it is the outrageous prices in the coffee shop.
L. A.
Great night at the Adult Panto. Wyvern is really great for all events smaller and .or intimate you really feel part of what's on stage.
S. “. l. L.
Seen some great shows there some including my daughter. Prices fair except at the bar.
R. H.
The toilets have had a revamp since my last visit. The bar is pricey but the performance was brilliant.
s. p.
A theatre which is big enough to attract some good show's and small enough to feel connected to what's going on. Worth a visit to their website to look at what's on offer.
K. P.
Just the right size for a fab evening out at the 'Calling Planet Earth' musical
A. H.
Went to the pantomime was really good
Great for the kids
Staff were very helpful and nice
J. R.
Staff are always welcoming and I have just seen the Chicago blues brothers show and it was fantastic
T. G.
Old theatre very small and uncomfortable compared to newer venues
O. T. B.
It was such a good experience watching school pupil as they sing various chorus.
Sitting at the front row it couldn't get any better
Loved it.
M. C.

H. B.
Great duo for motown dinner and dance, great staff, good food
C. H.
Staff very helpful and friendly made our night so much easier thank you
C. S.
Swan Lake - Siberian Ballet - superb for any place - but brilliant for Swindon. Orchestra & sound excellent
j. r.
A lovely evening performance but a few of the volunteers need to realise that they are there to help, not control! I speak as an ex volunteer....
A. P.
Went to see Danny Baker. Full house but no problems getting in or leaving and all seats provide an unobstructed view of the stage
C. B.
Pantomime was amazing. Full of life and happiness. Will be going again but the rest of Swindon has gone down hill.
J. P.
The dated exterior hides a most excellent auditorium, where every seat has a great view of the stage!
P. N.
Very hot...Aircon would be welcome addition. Seats crying for a vacuum. I patted seat to invite friend to sit to release huge billows of dust from seat.
J. P.
It was OK the food was good the seats where comfy but the staff weren't the help fullest but I don't know if it was just me 9r in general
T. C.
Always a pleasure to come here, comfortable and cosy, good to watch performances in a seeing that's big enough but not too big. Just right

Dear sir
when my wife came to pay for pantomime tickets early October the lady at the kiosk asked her if she would like to put anything in the shout out book, As it is our daughters birthday on December the 24th she put a happy birthday message for her with love from Kia and Alicia our two granddaughters, my wife told them on leaving home on December 20th and they were very excited, when birthday messages were read out nothing for her, the children were very disappointed and the youngest who is 8yrs old was very upset,I did speak to a young girl on the way out and she said she would look into it later,it is not the end of the world but it was me that was asked and feel a little let down.
