Fantastic service for my elderly parents who needed a new boiler fitting urgently. Jim and the team were brilliant, arranged an appointment quickly and came out on time to quote and managed to get a new one sorted within a couple of days for them. Very helpful, efficient and reliable as well as a very competitive price. Would definitely recommend and use again

Came out to service my boiler, the day after it broke down and unfortunately they sent the same engineer out to look at it who was here for an hour and told me it couldn't be fixed and that I would need a new one because the filter needed to be changed and had allowed too much bad water to go in and it was irreparable. Before he came back out, it would still fire up and work enough for a quick shower, however by the time he left after his second visit it wouldn't even do that and I was told it would cost over £2000 to have a new one fitted. I complained to Shropshire Gas and they sent out a different engineer who was brilliant and fixed the boiler, it has now been working for a week. After my complaint, the problem was handled efficiently however I still do not agree that the first engineer should have been so quick to tell me I needed a new one when it was an easy fix. He is a very poor reflection on my overall dealings with Shropshire Gas but luckily the other engineers and Jim have changed my opinion on the company as a whole but not on the individual who took the mick originally and just couldn’t be bothered to fix it.

*UPDATE* I was contacted by Shropshire Gas and was offered a next day (Saturday 4th December 2021) morning appointed and half price off the boiler service as a gesture of goodwill. I accepted and everything has been completed. Thank you Shropshire Gas for sorting the issue, applying a discount for the hassle and not making me wait another 3 weeks. *ORIGINAL - 1 STAR REVIEW* Booked a boiler service appointment on 17th November 2021 for the 2nd December 2021 (closest time I could book due to their availability). I was told the engineer will arrive between 13:00 - 17:00, I was in all day as I was working from home. 16:30 and still no engineer, I call the office phone and I was told by the receptionist that the engineer is still due to arrive but "took on extra jobs so he will be a little late". I said fine as long as he is still due. 18:30 goes by and still no engineer or courtesy call that they will not in fact be doing the service today. I call the office this morning (3rd December 2021) and find out what's gone on and I was told the engineer stated they "couldn't access the property", which was complete news to me because the engineer didn't even attempt to come to my property!! I was also told the engineer has my contact number and should have called me if there was issues, of which they did not. I was told the engineer should have left a note at the property, which again, they did not. A complete no show without even a courtesy call which the engineer should have done. After I had to do all the chasing and due to no fault of my own, also having to wait 2 weeks already, they tell me the next closest appointment they can give me is in 3 weeks!!!! (5 weeks of waiting in total and I'll be lucky if they show up the next time!) I would have expected them to have prioritised this because it wasn't my fault the engineer was a no show and didn't even bother calling me. Very poor service and would not recommend.

Had a new gas boiler, control systems and replacement radiator valves installed by Shropshire Gas. The price was competitive and the installation was trouble free. A friendly professional service. Shropshire Gas are a friendly company to deal with and are good at what they do. I recommend them without reservation.

Shropshire Gas initially came out on the basis of a repair but taking everything into consideration we asked them to quote for a new boiler. We chose Shropshire Gas for our boiler replacement following several quotes from national and local companies. They attended the appointment on time and fully met our requirements including fitting a smart thermostat. In between awarding the work and the scheduled replacement of my old boiler, it failed and whilst I couldn't get hold of my then current national maintainer they were prepared to attend and fix it, within 2 hours (unbelievable!). The replacement work itself was carried out professionally and as agreed, the engineer was both personable and trustworthy, he went all over Shrewsbury to match the house bricks and left the place spick and span each night and at the end of the install - I was very impressed. I've now taken out a service contract and am very glad I chose a local company - Shropshire Gas.

Boiler replacement and re-sited. Excellent service. On time, tidy, efficient, well mannered and considerate of our home, local trade people, what more can you want! During their time here we asked if they could replace an old shower and fix a small leak on the toilet; this was no problem to them and we were very pleased to have this sorted at the same time as we had put them on the spot. We have more jobs to be done so will be contacting them again. Why bother with big national companies when you have excellent local companies on your door step.

Had my boiler replaced this winter. Waiting time was 4 weeks, luckily it was mild. Quick 3 day service no qualms or complaints, no mess left while boiler was being installed. Everything was tidy each day. Certificates provided for job done and rest assurance on guarantee. Local gas engineers so can give them a quick call if necessary. Response rate is great.

Had an issue with the heating coming on with the hot water, called and got an appointment really quick. Engineer was professional and friendly, explained the problem and quoted a reasonable price. I had no heating over the Christmas period, it was terrible we had family coming round and the house was so cold we had to eat our Christmas dinner with our coats on !! I contacted a few local companies and they wanted over 4K to supply and install a new system (I can’t afford it) plus they wanted me to wait till next year (middle / end of jan 😡) I contacted Shropshire gas and I’m glad I did, they managed to re pair my exiting system for a fraction of the price. Plus it was all done for the new year. Seven months later and the heating is fine !!!!! They saved me so much money and I am always grateful for the work they did to my property. I still remember the guys name Martin, he was very helpful....

We have had a service contract with Shropshire Gas for a number of years and found them to be both courteous and efficient when servicing our appliances. However last week our boiler failed. We reported the fault at 16:30 on Thursday. Shropshire Gas had an engineer on site at 12:45 the next day (i.e. in less than 5 working hours). The engineer diagnosed the problem and ordered a replacement part. At this point we were steeling ourselves for a cold few days. However, Shropshire Gas procured the part and had an engineer on site on Saturday morning. The boiler was working by lunchtime. This was truly excellent service given it was the weekend.

Shropshire Gas installed our new 7 radiators and Worcester Bosh boiler . Have to say we are very pleased . The job was done very professionally and to as higher standard as we could ever exspect for a very competitive price. The install was carried out a minimum amount of mess . Also have to say the guys were very polite. We had to have a snorkel fitted to the new boiler to meet new regulations , the masonary work is excellent and the colour match of the brick could not be better. Having purchased a property that had out dated central heating and a fire that was condemend. I instructed Shropshire Gas to fit me a new boiler which came with excellent warranty and considering I asked for the best boiler I could have for peace of mind I was very happy with the price I was quoted. I also had a solid fuel stove fitted including a new hearth back panel and beam. Nothing was too much trouble and the expert advice I was given with regards the stove and working to the difficult dimensions, a bespoke fireplace was provided. I cant praise shropshire gas enough really professional & thorough, the engineer was curteous & very tidy i expected a mess but there was nothing. We needed a hole bricked up were the old flue pipe had been & the bricks match exactly. We have been sitting in a cold house for 2 weeks now so thank you shropshire gas for giving me a warm house again.

As a customer I am self declared as a business' worst nightmare. My expectations are perfection.Shropshire Gas met and indeed exceeded all my requirements in supplying and fitting a new gas fire. The co-ordination of Trades was smooth with all respecting my home and achieving their role. A particular thanks to Phil for his "making good" the plastering, a perfect finish. Shropshire Gas beat the quote from an alternative supplier by a surprising margin, not only that but adjusted their bill as the work was completed in 1 day rather than the quoted 2. The work to upgrade my central heating system included the replacement of four existing radiators, resizing and relocating one, and fitting numerous thermostatic valves and new Lockshield valves where these were either not fitted, or had failed. The entire system was also flushed through. The work was scheduled in two phases around my ongoing decorating work at my request, and was completed entirely to my satisfaction. The two engineers assigned to the job were both pleasant and competent, and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. I can highly recommend this company.

I found a leak in pipe in bathroom that resulted in damp patch on kitchen ceiling I tried to shut off supply but it only made it worse I phoned trish in Shropshire gas and had plumber at the house within half an hour problem fixed within an hour. Amended review: I have to hand it to Tom, the owner, he called back with concern over my genuine annoyance at the below comments...shows how much he cares about his business and customer care. Lovely bloke. I just hope the lady I spoke to takes on board that lying to clients is not necessary and can cause issues beyond the one in the first place! Amazed at all the good reviews here... Absolutely shocking customer service. Woman on reception lied about a message left this morning regarding a part being delivered. Clients without heating for four days. Disingenuous and bad attitude. Tenants called 12 times. Safe to say the Landlord is taking the business elsewhere, as are two other landlords off the back of this. Why not just tell the truth?? Tenants still without heating.

During an extension and whole house renovation, we were advised to have a complete re-install of the hot water and central heating system as the old system had certain performance issues. We had all pipes and radiators replaced including two bathrooms plumbed and showers fitted. Also, we had water based under floor heating done. For added efficiency and comfort we had 6 heating zones set up. There were issues with messiness which were escalated and dealt with in a matter of hours and offers of professional cleaning were made. Given the complexity of the install, we also had teething trouble with leaky shower trays and noisy pipes. Again, the issues were dealt with in a professional and caring manner. I would thoroughly recommend Shropshire Gas for their knowledge, technical expertise, and professional and caring approach.

Upon waking I found my Heating system had failed on 9th January, 2019 and contacted the Shrop Gas team for urgent assistance at 09:00.
