Came across key currency online when I needed to make foreign currency transfer. They provided fantastic service and have the best foreign exchange rate available on the market, especially during a volatile period for the pound. Wayne at key currency was very professional, friendly and efficient. He talked me through the process clearly and concisely. Communication via email and telephone was excellent . I had a smooth and easy transfer experience with Wayne Sampson and Key currency from start to finish. I would highly recommend Key currency!

I needed to transfer money from my Spanish bank into my main bank account in England. The commissions charged by both banks either side of the transaction were so exhorbitant I looked for an alternative among money transfer companies. After much research I chose Key currency because of their links with Spain. Initially I was somewhat anxious as I was unfamiliar with this type of company, but I needn't have been. From my first phone call I was allocated a named trader (Rhys McCarthy) who handled all my queries and transactions thereafter. I transferred the funds in four separate batches, which he helped me time whenever exchange rates were most advantageous to me. Each time the exact amount in pounds that he quoted to me reached my account within the day, and his timely and friendly advice made me feel in total control on my own money. When I called I never had to wait more than a couple of minutes to get through to him. I would definitely recommend this company, especially for anyone who needs to transfer money from Spain without being ripped off by conventional banks.

I can’t praise this company enough!! I sold my house in Spain with a view to move funds back to the UK. I have recently closed my bank account in Spain and currently have no Euro bank account for my property sale funds to go into. I spoke to my UK bank to see what my options were and the charges that would be needed to pay to do this were outrageous. I was desperately looking for another way of sending my money back to the UK. I then found Key Currency after searching online. They opened my account very quickly and sent one of their Spanish team to collect the bankers draft on my behalf and banked it into their client account (saving me a fair chunk of bank fees!!). I spoke to Alex in their UK office about getting the GBP into my UK account and within 2 working days the money was here! I am so glad I found Key Currency. They were very informative, always at the end of the phone and I was very happy with the exchange rate offered. All in all a very good experience and would highly recommend.

Wayne Sampson of key currency arranged for my Euros to be exchanged for British Pound Sterling recently. Funds from my cottage sale in Brittany, France. Initially I had seen one of the representatives at a Place in the Sun shows a couple of years ago and obviously took their cards and some paperwork, amongst other providers of currency exchange. Then earlier this year Wayne Sampson got in touch and I indicated that I had a sale on my cottage in France maybe going ahead and he said give him a call and he'd send an email with phone/email details, when I was ready to go ahead etc. Right from the word go...Wayne was unassuming, confident but not over the top, so I put my trust in Wayne and have now completed and funds came in within a day or two from the Notary to Key Currency. Wayne got in touch to say that funds were in, I had to verify a couple of details for compliance and the money transferred later that day. How easy can it get! Well done and thank you to Wayne through Key Currency!

I struck lucky when by chance I picked Key Currency to get a 2nd quote to compare with the rate I had been given by the currency conversion people I have used for the last 14 years. Not only did I get a better rate, giving me an extra 800 euro in exchange for my Australian $, but the gent I dealt with, Wayne Sampson explained to me the risk of a 'landing charge' which I may well have incurred if I had moved money from UK to France. Wayne was very patient is guiding me through the procedures at Key Currency and my money ended up safely in the target French bank account.

I have to declare that I was anxious to use a currency service as I have always dealt with bank transfers. However during my overseas property purchase, I was advised to use Key currency to save on exchange fees. I researched 5 different companies and all had their benefits. I am writing this review to help others as I only went ahead with Key currency after reading the hundreds of positive reviews as I was nervous to transfer 50k to a company like anyone would be. they are legit.I really like how they work, you are given your own broker for the transaction and for any future transactions and as I will be using dollar a lot I'm happy that my broker Wayne was extremely helpful and always called back immediately. I made sure they had an actual land address and tested them out first to see if they were always available on the phone or would call back straight away which Wayne always did. I would never deal with a company that is email only contact when dealing with my money or that did not have a real address in UK. Yes so happy with Wayne will be using all the time now , saved me close to 1,000 dollars from Barclays .

I feel I am lucky to be able to purchase a small property in France. When I purchased this property, I had to transfer a lot of monies across to the solicitor in France. (which is the local mayor) To be able to do this I used the key currency group. Transferring from one account in England, into a french account. This cost was extortionate via the building society. I was recommended to use a money transfer group. I have to admit I was incredibly nervous trusting people with my monies. (After all I hadn't met them, so to speak.!) Although Tom Lobb was incredibly patient. He sent me reviews of the company. I was still extremely worried it was a scam...Even the Building society gave a warning. Well I have trusted the Key Currency for over a year and they have been incredible. I dont transfer the large sums now obviously, just small amounts for example, to pay my electrician. I give Key Currency a call, state the amount I wish to transfer and its done in hours. Brilliant service, Thank you, I do highly recommend them.

It is, unfortunately, a rare customer experience to have such great service you want to leave more than one review. Because my recent/repeated experience with Key Currency, and Owen Wiles, has continued to be exceptional, I have to leave another review to rave and applaud them. After a fund transfer was made (correctly!) by Key Currency to pay off our mortgage, the mortgage bank mistakenly returned the funds to Key Currency. Owen made sure we knew immediately and then made himself available in every way he possibly could to help us resolve the matter. Further, he proactively contacted us to see if there was anything more he could do to help over the several days it has taken to resolve the issue. His constant attention, care, and help to resolve the issue puts Owen and Key Currency in the category of excellent customer service at epic levels!
