Reviews of Worthing Pier
S. C.
Best pier in Worthing! It is currently undergoing refurbishment at the cafe end, nice views up and down the shoreline. Great on a windy day with a high tide. Good for fishing and somewhere pleasant to sit on a warm day.
S. G.
A long stretch of pebble beach. Kids loved it and it is a nice happening place. Good place to take a stroll and spend the whole day along the beach side. Highly recommend it with young kids.

Great place to have a stroll during the day and night. Especially during the summer months. The first weekend after school closes for the summer holidays there is a fun fair and fire works display.... Great place to spend with the family.
P. Y.
Went for a Sunday brunch at Perch on the Pier last weekend. Great to see what the end of the Pier looks like after all the work has been completed. Great food and atmosphere. Definitely reccomend Perch.
S. B.
First time on the pier, goes out a long way, nice restaurant and bar at the end. Amusements were fun, but coin machines were rigged on winning the £5 note. But the guy was generous when redeeming tickets. You can miss the entrance to the pier, not obvious.
P. H.
Lovely to have a beautiful art deco pier in Worthing- Lovely to be able to walk along it every day come rain or shine- one of life's great pleasures.
M. A.
First time visit. Hot day but lovely to be at the coast. Some things were far away from each other like sovernir shop. Should be near the pier. Was busy. No seafood stalls
m. d.
On a super sunny day the cooling breeze was welcome and the sight of the blue sea and sky made this visit just as exciting as the first time I visited the sea. Lots of colourful local art and fun things to see on the central glass screens. Amusement arcade near entrance and children's attractions. Stylish Perch on the Pier restaurant with views nice food and drink and lovely friendly staff.
P. P.
Happy ,fun, organized and clean entertainment for whole family.Purchased fresh fish which is cut and cleaned on site and well price.Easy to park car , pay for two hours at a time. Many dogs on leads.Good outside fresh air time.People of all ages.
D. T.
When in Worthing you must walk along the pier. Super nostalgic free fun. Really colourful and great views. Nice restaurant and bar at the end.
C. T.
Nice, simple, classic English seaside town pier. Very nice, good quality team room/bar at the end with stonking views.
K. T.
Fantastic pier with some lovely little eateries on the entrance, multi coloured pane glass windows along the length add that little extra something
m. b.
Nice clean pier and an amusement park.
Small fishing legde at the North end which doesn't interfere with people walking around! Lancing beach nice and quiet with parking and toilet facilities. Worthing beach is busier but more in the way of shops and bars etc as closer to the the main town. Some nice shops and eateries. Level 1 terrace bar is good for basket food /pizza/craft beer and gin. This is located above Marks and Spencer which also a car park . Hence the name level 1.
M. B.
A great pier, with a great new (April 2022) bar/restaurant in the art deco pavilion at the end of the pier.
R. C.
Lovely little pier.
Amusements.
Toilets clean.
Lovely views from the end.
p. b.
Love a walk on the pier. Beautiful coloured glass to be seen too. Amusements were fun.
A. P.
Lovely area. Much less commercialised compared to Brighton. It has that quain seaside town feel.
P. F.
Lovely old fashioned pier. Great for kids, lots of 2p machines to keep them entertained for hours. Nice view from the pier too.
S. W.
Lovely old fashioned pier, the windbreak section with the panels in was great and this looked good from a distance too....our first visit and would recommend
r. C.
Lovely pier free entrance. Has amusement arcade & fishing on pier subject to licence.
Recently opened Perch restaurant end of pier lovely food & ambiance. Can go good just for drinks. Dogs accepted
Booking in advance suggested as can get very busy especially at weekends
K. B.
Water, beach, stones, fish, chips, ice cream, clear road, easy parking... I think this is our new destination from now on. Perfect for a family day out.
Not as congested as Brighton/ Eastbourne.
Definitely will come back. Went on sunny, bank holiday day- no traffic.
Couldn't ask for more. I do recommend.
G.
It was really lovely excpecaly the arcade and we found a thorn tail from a fish and its clear enough to see the sea bed
m. p.
My first visit to Perch on the Pier - wow, they’ve done an amazing job on the Art Deco pier pavilion. I loved it when it Phil Duckett first renovated the old place and put on great bands there, but you can see where the millions have been spent, from the structure through to the details.
So it looks gorgeous- how’s the food? Great news, they’ve sensibly kept a fairly short menu, but stayed creative. Quite a few nice fish/seafood options: squid, salmon, king prawns etc, which I like, plus vegan and a “crying beef” option, and of course burger for that member of your party who only eats that. Six great starter options, perhaps eight mains, and four deserts: every course we had was top quality with a little tasty twist for those paying attention to that sort of thing.
Staff were friendly, enthusiastic, proud of their restaurant, and you felt like they really wanted you to enjoy yourself.
We had a starter, a main, a little drink, a dessert and a coffee, a perfect view of sea and land for just under £40 a head.
The photo is of a cool Worthing-themed adaptation of a rail or tube map which adorns the male toilet wall. You can buy your own from PEP the Printers.
We will definitely return.
A. G.
The view is so lovely especially on a sunny summer day, the entertainment place fun and large enough, delicious icecream.
H. H.
I love the coastal vista from Worthing Pier. And now Perch has opened its doors, it has an even bigger draw
A. O. W.
Much less busy than the other places. And the drive down is quite scenic too. The restaurant has been redone and the staff and food is quite good. A good shout out to Francesco who goes above and beyond.
K. B.
Went for a day trip with the family and a walk along the pier. Thoroughly enjoyed it, lovely and clean, lots of space, beautiful glass windows down the centre of the pier. Very good ice cream hut positioned in the middle half way down. Lovely ice cream and a very reasonable price 🍦
S. W.
Good arcade considering it's a fairly small town's pier, decent prizes to exchange tickets for. Also nearby to the Lido and other arcades along the seafront so you can walk between them easily as soon as you get bored at one. Good view from the end of the pier, you can see all the way to Brighton, and France on a clear day. Also a lower section at the end of the pier for fishing.
D. T.
Worthing Pier is part of a lovely traditional British seafront. Its charm is that it has not changed much over the years and still sits comfortably in its environment.
It is not big and brash, like the pier at neighbouring Brighton, so do not expect all the fun of the fair there. It takes you out from the promenade, so that you can view the part of Worthing in which it sits.
R.
Really beautiful stained glass all along the pier, really enjoyed looking at all the art work.
We parked right down away from the pier, and there's toilets halfway ish and on the pier.
The tide when out so we searched for sea glass, found some and lots of little crabs 😍
We went just as all the shops were closing, it was nice and quiet.
R. M.
A nice pier to sit, relax and watch the sea although there was not a lot if seating to be honest. Worthing itself offers lots of promenade for a gentle stroll or serious walkers. Didn't see too much of the town but it looked well kept and there is a very nice Starbucks fir a well deserved coffee after a long walk.
W. D.
Always nice to walk on the pier. Nice and clean. Love the glass 'windows'. featuring different places and organisations that run up the middle.
Remember as a child having to pay to go on the pier!
S. G.
Perch On The Pier ! Stunning venue and gorgeous food , can't wait to go back ! ❤️
M. H.
Very well maintained small pier with an excellent amount of seating and wind breaks. There is a nice restaurant and arcade there too. It's quite small though and you would be disappointed if you came to Worthing to visit it. There's nothing wrong with it but it's nothing special.
Y. S.
Worth a visit but not the same standard as in my childhood. Guess I had rose tinted specs then. There seemed to be many more attractions then, but at least now entry is free.
I. L.
We love the Pier. It is a picturesque addition to the seafront. There's wonderful art all the way up the centre panels and coloured sections that look beautiful in the sunlight. The amusements are fun and budget friendly, plenty of 2p machines amongst more expensive games. The little concession half way up has the best value soft serve ice cream in town that we've seen, they also do teas and coffees and flapjack type cakes. There's a generous amount of seating all along the pier. At the southern end you can take a precarious walk along the lower level where people fish and check out the underneath of the pier. The Perch on the Pier is a lovely place to eat, drink and admire the sea views. It's all definitely worth a visit.
J. B.
Fantastic treasure. Book ahead, and enjoy fantastic views, food, service and environment
M. H.
Love Worthing even when the sun is not shining. Love the crumble and custard generous portion from the cafe...
M. W.
Pleasant enough place to visit. Enjoyed reading the poems and looking at the drawings in the glass features along the centre of the pier. There is a restaurant at the end of the pier that was very busy.
R.
Delicious Sunday roast. One of the best I have had in a restaurant. Great views and fantastic service from Wendy and Ella. Can not recommend this place enough. Great to have a place like this in worthing on the iconic pier.
s. y.
Lovely wee town and a great place to visit
d. p.
Worthing is a pleasant place to come for a day at the seaside. It's a little dated and rundown and in need of a decent refurbishment. The pier being a good example of this. A few fishermen, some seating and a closed building at the end. Time to update Worthing!
P. T.
Lovely small pier - cafe, amusements - lots of 2p machines, ice cream vendor. Several fishermen in set zones. Great view of the beach and Worthing.
L. H.
Great art on the pier and great view with ice cream. Three ladies from India were on the pier and I bought them ice cream too. It made their day as it did mine
T. P.
Nice little pier. Not quite so afflicted by the naff vendors of so many others.
The lovely art deco restaurant at the end is worth a visit.
P. P.
Worthing Pier is unique and historic, you can get great views of Worthing Seafront and beyond on clear days.
Or just take in the sea air as you watch the waves that race by beneath you at high tide.
N. W.
Tired and run-down. If you’re passing by then by all means take a look, but certainly don’t go out of your way to visit. The nicest part was the glass tiles in the middle.
S.
Beautiful display of stained glass window art work. Very small compared to Southend, but pleasant to sit and eat fish and chips sheltered from the wind.
P. W.
Great renovation of this part of Worthing Pier. Nice place to sit and look out over the sea. Menu and food is standard fare and pretty good 👍
L.
We have been going to worthing for the 10 years since my daughter has been born and will continue to go. my son loves the walks along the beach and pier also a few arcades about and not short of places to eat. There is also a market 2 minute walk from the pier
R. P.
Very cold and rainy weather but your know what. its a place away from home. the kids wrapped up and we took long walks along the beach path. lots of food shops and not expensive
A. G.
Good place for fishing and crab hunting best and cheapest place to get a decent ice cream is the little shop in the middle of the pier £1.50 for a mr wippy and a waffle cone same price for a decent sized slush puppy also. The 2p machines on the pier are good decent win ratio and great little gifts out of the machines not the usual tacky stuff
D. B.
A great day out. Lots to see and do. The pier is free to go on to with food and drink available at the beginning and along the pier. There are fishing platforms at the end to keep fisherman and the public apart. The views are great and on the day we went it was warm and sunny. A relaxed and comfortable place to visit.
P. S. M. T.
So was a bit chilly, - 1d. A bit on the old choppy side. Not very busy and half shut but, you know we are in the middle of a lockdown, due to the corona virus. I had my mask on. Walked 5k to get to the pier, and walked back afterwards.
Met a Crow, called Russell. Maybe go a bit later next time to catch the sunset.
I'm going to be doing the March the Month challenge for Prostate cancer UK. Next month so just getting into practice. 😊
M. R.
Lovely oldy worldy Victorian pier. You can see why it won pier of the year 2006 and 2019. So peaceful sitting on the benches watching the world go by. Such a romantic spot, especially in the evening watching the sunset. I actually proposed to my other half on the end of the pier, was so lovely. During the day there is an amusement arcade in the middle where you can try your luck on the 2p machines. There is even a lower bit at the end of the pier where you can go to fish.
J. C.
Worthing Pier is a lovely place to visit if you need entertainment and or food. The beach it resides on offers beautiful views and a good place to sit if you want to relax. A wonderful place to bring friends or family - best enjoyed with a helping of fish and chips!
M. A.
Good for a walk in any weather. Glass art installations are brilliant. Arcade for kids of all ages.
A. P.
Have been coming to Worthing since I was about 6 years old and have many fond memories of this place which are close to my heart this is somewhere I spent a lot of the time with my family and also my late nan. I absolutely love Worthing it hasn’t changed one bit since I have been growing up and the pier I have to say is one of my favourite places. If your looking for a seaside town that is quirky quite and full of amazing people then this is the place to go. There is always something going on here for the family!
T. T.
Lovely place for a weekend away with the kids. Amusement on the peir. It's like throwing your money away. But the kids enjoy it. Must be great to be young and carefree. Town centre a walk away from the pier. Many hotels to choose from with a sea view.
T.
Beautiful pier to walk along. The art in the panels are beautiful, especially with the sun catching the coloured glass. If you arrive just before dusk, the starlings will most likely do a flight display, which is always mesmerising.
There are many places to grab refreshments at the front, middle and the end of the pier. The "Purch on the Pier is a lovely restaurant where you can enjoy tea and cake or a meal - though it's advised to book a table for dining in.
I've seen some lovely sun rises and sunsets from the pier.
And also people fishing off the lower platform at the end.
Well worth a stroll any time of day.
S. A. F.
Didn't see much of the pier but so lovely to see the coastline at night and hear the lapping of the sea
k. r.
Worthing PIER is known for the fishing experience. There are lot people stand along with fishing equipment and you can approach them for trying a fishing experience basics and price depends on the time you want to. The path way separation walls has glass paintings all along and they are worth a watch and read description of some.
M. B.
Always worth a visit, no frills but very pleasant pier and lots of places to get coffees, snacks & fish n chips etc
M. D.
A nice walk around the pier in the sunshine today.
R. C.
Nice for a stroll, but nothing much happening. Building at the end of the pier is being renovated. Theatre (at the shore end) still putting on shows.
L. L.
Had a lovely meal at Perch on the pier on one of the first days opening. Firstly the entrance is pretty breathtaking... quite the transformation! The colours, art deco style and nods to it's heritage are beautiful. The staff were nervous but welcoming and clearly wanted to please. The moules were delicious and it was great to have a menu with a tasty, non run-of-the-mill beer on it. The only downside was that we had to wait a while for our food but they had just opened and drinks came quickly. We were a group of adults but I'll definitely be bringing my children as the Lancing Perch has always been really child-friendly. Well done Perch team. Another fantastic venue being brought back to life.
A. L.
What a lovely place for a quiet "uncrowded" walk along the beachfront ! If only I had a phone with a better camera to take the lovely seaside and beach photos ! Will definitely come back again when the weather is warmer !
M. B.
Wonderful Town to visit; it's tranquil, clean and relaxing. Great food and beautiful seaviews!!
N. L.
Got some lovely fresh air during my visit to the pier (after all this heat). There were some benches available to sit on.
A. T.
From the slot machine arcade, the rainbow panels all the way along, to the art deco building on the end of the pier, the whole thing is wonderful, i love this pier ❤
J. L.
A wonderful walk the stainless window pictures as a wind breaker are fabulous. Plenty of seating. Wonderful restaurant Perch at the end of the pier. Also amusements. Every thing there. Except ice cream shop.
S. S.
Great pier, lovely views of Brighton, amusements, ice cream,tea/coffee,fair few places to sit and admire the scenery.
C.
Had been on my Saturday to do list for some time. Expected more but weather wasn't the best. Will return when weather gets its summer mojo going and hopefully all food out lets are open. It is spacious with good views.
v. z.
Brilliant pier, one of the oldest Piers in the UK. Its historic and has nice fishing deck and also an amusement center.
R. A.
Came to the perch today as I saw all the wonderful pictures over Facebook. In my opinion the food looked incredible from what I could see. I had a wonderful waitress called Sarah who made me feel very welcome and kept checking on us throughout our time at the perch.she was very quick and efficient when dealing with our orders as we had quite a few. Thank you Sarah will definitely be coming back for the crumpets you recommend!!!
S. N.
Colourful pier, nice to walk on and plenty of benches to enjoy the sea breeze and sunset.
m. c.
perfect place for a day out on the sea Side..
G. S.
Love the pier spent many happy times throughout great all ages 2 theatres art cafes licence brew there own beer. Yes I love this place worth a visit.
M. E.
A wonderful piece of structural engineering that was designed to last. There is something for everybody and a magnificent place to visit with the kids. Take in a show or an afternoon tea dance. Use the amusement arcade or just take a stroll and treat yourself to an ice cream. And it's absolutely free. I highly recommend it.
M. 9.
Nothing really interesting.
If you have a very good zoom camera then it may be a bit better to look at ugly wind power turbines in the sea and the seaside of Brighton. Of course if the weather allows.
Many times it is a windy and unpleasant place but you can hide in a restaurant.
H. J.
Great for crabbing/fishing at the end of the pier on the docking bays, arcade machines and lovely ice-cream from the little hut
K. p. s.
It's superb place to hang. Go sit have bear. Go for fishing, photography. Watching sunset from there is superb
S. T.
Beautiful promenade with plenty of room for everyone.
J. G.
Love Worthing Pier.
Went into the 2p machines which is always great fun, the staff in there are brilliant and it's clean and tidy.
Nice walk around the pier again clean and tidy with plenty of bins to hand.
A. M.
Not the best of days but Worthing is a lovely seaside town. I love coming here to relax from city life.
B. B.
Love the hundreds of wind turbines and the small bur cute arcade. Kids seemed to really relax at this place
O. C.
Worthing Pier is a great place to relax and spend quality time with family and friends. The arcade never fails to entertain!
O. M.
To me, this is how a pier should be - simple, unspoiled, stylish and practical. It was rebuilt in 1935 following a major fire, and has been preserved in this same form ever since. Very few piers can boast this admirable status. This has also been recognised in the form of a series of 'Pier of the Year' accolades. It won this award in 2006, and has been hovering in 2nd and 3rd place for the last few years as well. It is the only prominent Art Deco Pier, remaining in the UK.
At the shoreward end is the Pavilion Theatre, built in 1926 and designed by Stanley Davenport Adshead, architect of the underrated Colwyn Bay Pier Pavilion of 1934. Worthing's is a very theatrical building, with fancy domed roofs and attractive off-white stucco walls.
The main length of the pier is sheltered with tiled glass screens, partially decorated with bright colours. Benches are distributed across its length. Midway down the pier is the amusement building. The interior is unremarkable: a small arcade with a plain, suspended ceiling. However, the exterior is outstanding and rather iconic. Towards the end of the pier is the Southern Pavilion, again with very attractive Art Deco styling. It acted as a cafe, which was excellent, with interesting teapots and large servings of cake. The furnishings and decorations in the pavilion are firmly Art Deco, and looked very distinctive.
The weather was very poor on our visit, resulting in the upper tier of the pavilion to be closed. It also resulted in us spending much longer in the pavilion than expected, which was certainly not unpleasant. Even in the rain, the pier is still a very enjoyable place to walk, unless you had a camera with non-weather-sealed lenses like I did.
This is definitely one of my favourite piers in the UK.
J. S.
We ate here with friends who booked prior the food was delicious and a great selection of wine wonderful views and great ambience, staff were friendly and chatty would definitely recommend
M. K.
Brilliant location ! So glad we booked 😀 the whole ambiance of the place is really cool.
The food was very tasty! Hot and service excellent thank you Matt! Shame we could not of had pre drinks but hopefully that may change.
Only one complaint the ladies loo had a dreadful drain smell 🙁 but I’m sure that will be sorted! Can’t wait to return stunning view. Thank you
S. D.
Lovely friendly staff, beautiful decor inside and the coffee was delicious too!
J. B.
A warm welcome on arrival at the front of house desk, no waiting, very good service from Matt our very pleasant waiter and good food. Altogether an enjoyable evening. John
R. G.
Nice large pier but not much on it, the restaurant looked amazing but didn't eat here so can't say anything specific about that.
I imagine on a more summery day it would have been better
P. J.
Good to find a typical seaside town pier still with an amusement arcade and a cafe to enjoy coffee with a view. Can’t beat a trip to the seaside and not visit the pier! Lots to look as you walk down the pier and plenty of seating to just watch the world pass you by
D. B.
Worthing is a great place to go. Park in Goring for free then take a leisurely stroll into Worthing along the sea front to grab an ice cream or chips
R. S.
Good clean pebbled beached for a weekend outing. Great pubs across the street. Nice restaurants and play area for children.
J. P.
Worthing Pier is just lovely, clean and well maintained, and it is just brilliant to see the Perch restaurant at the end of the Pier newly refurbished, really stylish art deco style and really transforms the Pier.
M. H.
Lovely cake and hot chocolate friendly staff and peaceful views was a lovely visit can't wait to come again
S. s.
It's just charming. Once the restaurant is open at the end of it. It will be great I'm sure. Used to go there under the old management.
S.
Great Pier with some fantastic views also small family arcade and some places to eat.
J. N.
We went to Perch on the Pier which was lovely. Would recommend but you'd need to book as it was fully booked for lunch on a Monday.
S. P.
Awesome pier, one if the country's best. Beautiful art deco cafe and entertainment venue one end, lovely theatre the other with an amusement arcade half way down
E. D.
Now with a fabulous cafe on the pier. Great place to visit and stroll around, and take in the lovely views.
N. C.
Pier of the year, and rightly so, lots of art work to see by local people, amusement arcade, and a great cafe at the end which does an amazing Eggs Benedict, lovely walk on a summers evening when the tides out. And now we have the Observation Wheel, at £7 a ride, 3 rotations, bargain.
M. C.
We love Worthing Pier. Plenty of seating, good shelter when it's breezy and the queues for food & drink are rarely more than a few mins wait.
A. W.
pier of the year 2019 gave me some beautiful views as the sun went down. I appreciate that. felt very safe unlike some piers I've been on. was quite quiet when I was on it, was late evening at that point but gave a good atmosphere nonetheless. had an enjoyable time. Worthing an underrated place, thanks for existing.
N. S. S.
One of the good places for walking or have a quite time worthing. In summertime, it's of fun. Fishing on the pier is free, there are colored discs placed strategically on the upper decking, red, orange and green. Opening time 6am to 10pm (weather depending).
M. T.
I think that the pier and seafront benefitted from the wonderful weather. There's not loads to do if you want attractions but a lovely long promenade
S. H.
Such a beautiful tranquil pier with lovely views and good value ice creams. I do miss the cafe at the Southern Pavilion being open though
J. E. E.
Nice walk along promenade and pier. Not over busy. Sun was shining so good
r. j. r.
Great pier for walking, fun, refreshments,
and fishing. Popular cafés at either end.
Easy access. Seating. Toilets.
S. F.
Little penny arcade for the kids, nice place for coffee/tea and a nice walk around on a sunny evening. On e in a while the tide goes out far enough to walk around it on the beach.
Only the somewhat territorial and in the way fisherman who crowd around the end lose it a star.
M. H.
Lovely place for a walk but not much else.
Z. C.
Beautiful pier with cafe and theatre. Interesting glass art along the pier divide gives a wind break.
C. M.
I use the Pier as part of my prom walk and to communicate to people as many just go on the pier to be close to the sea and for a quiet sit down
T. E.
Just an average pier it does have arcades but nothing like Brighton pier, good enough views and you can go fishing towards the end of this pier.
C. H.
Covid measures in place, lovely tidy pier with interesting art works along it's length. The big room at the end is being worked on, so a bit of an eye sore....hopefully the council will finish this, this year (was the same as today last year!)
J. H.
Probably not the best place to go to in the pouring rain but a lovely pier with great views of the town from the end.
J. D. D.
Really nice place.
Not too much windy. Enjoyable with cloudy wheatear too.
D. R.
Love this pier so many memories just a shame you can't walk round the top any more
L. W.
Its such a shame as it appears that this pier is not really in use and was in disrepair. I think they've really tried to make something of the seafront here and if they used the pier a little more it would be lovely
T.
Amazing pier. With a lovely 1920's building at the end which is currently being refurbished. Great place to see fantastic sunsets.
a. d.
Beautiful place we spend a two days here . Perfect weather right now, enjoyed a lot.
S. C.
Nice quiet pier, compared to Brighton, but good thing in my mind, and never too busy
N. S.
I’ve been visiting this pier since I was youngster either for fishing or to visit the arcade and have an ice cream, and now my 8yr old can do the same the arcade is good fun for all ages especially if you like winning lollies or endless rolls of tokens there’s now a cafe/restaurant at the end of the pier instead of the old night club so it now feels like a safe clean environment and is a great venue for weddings. This pier has stood the test of time and will last for many years to come.
P. N.
The place for a great walk, brilliant glass walk different designs, amusement arcade, cafe can't want anything else
D. S.
Fantastic place fantastic views more information about the pier would be helpful not many people to ask a good family experience
A. G.
Amazing, we watched the fireworks (really good) and went on the pier, overall my time at worthing was amazing
C. P.
Not the most exciting pier for kids but well maintained and has a nice cafe/bar area
S. W.
Walked the dogs round the pier as part of morning walk. Fantastic... and to top it all saw a seal.
L. L.
It was a lovely clean pier. Not a huge amount on there but lovely to just wander around. Ice cream looked good, and the stained glass windows are beautiful. Also nice to see all the anglers at the end of the pier.
S. K.
Worthing Pier is a great attraction, it is a well kept and clean pier. It makes for a great stroll, for a relaxing sit or a spot of sea fishing! Watch out for fishermen casting! There is a cafe at the end which serves a variety of beverages. You can also catch some valuable pokemons at the end! At certain times of the year you can catch a steam ship tour.
D. P.
Lovely day beautifully warm and nice walk along pier and on the pier it has various stalls and amusements
C. M.
Wow .worthing worth it to visit🤩
S. T.
We had a celebration of our mums life here. All the staff were so helpful and it was a perfect afternoon.
D. T.
Amazing location to watch the sun rise or set. Love having this on my doorstep
s. p.
Great views from this pier whatever the weather.
Nice little ice cream kiosk, good prices.
Restaurant at the end looks lovely but not tried that yet!
Great when it's windy!!! Or sunny!
S. C.
Food and ride prices are expensive. Amusements were busy, but went on a bank holiday weekend so crowdedness to be expected.
E. S.
My sons loves the arcade and restaurant on the end. Great destination to eat or day out !
A. P.
Worthing is the new Brighton. So many new independent restaurants and bars have opened up over the last few years. Definitely worth a visit.
C. P.
Nice walk onto a traditional pier. The amusements were fun and loved looking at the stained glass windows from the local community.
D. R.
Other than a restaurant on the end, there's nothing on it.
It's still a nice chilled place to sit.
M. V.
Amazing pier in Worthing, it is nice for a walk and to make few pictures
S. A.
Lovely pier, not too busy so really relaxing visit
S. P.
Great if it’s good weather! Plenty to do and lots of places to eat and drink
R. S.
Very nice place with really awesome atmosphere even there were blowing like crazy out there at the time I was there.
D. W.
Great for fishing off the pier. Great for time out for all ages.
M. T.
Lovely walk, with interesting games and a nice ferris wheel. Very well taken care of with beautiful flowers and everything very clean.
M. N.
Love all piers ...worthing is awesome
S. E.
We had a beautiful day in worthing last Friday. A proper family seaside town.
B. A.
A lovely sunny day, wide promenade to walk along. Clean beaches, fun on the pier and superb ice cream
g. c.
Beautiful views from the end of the pier. The coast of Brighton on one side. On the other side you have a view along to Bognor Regis, on occasions you can even see the white tent top of Butlins. The pier is a 10 to 15 minutes walk through the town from the railway station at Worthing.. Or 2 minutes walk from car parks close to the sea front
N. R.
On Sunday 1st May went to the Perch the newly opened restaurant on Worthing Pier. Table for 6. Practice makes perfect. Keep going.
C. J.
Beautiful seafront to ride along of an evening really good chips and good friendly people
T. B. B.
The very end was closed as rebuilding but a very nice day trip
S.
Great spot. Lovely place to have a beer at the restaurant at the end.
J. M.
Pier with visitor area & a nice dining venue at the end
G. D.
Pretty standard pier but definitely worth a walk down if you're near the beach
H. A.
One guy said it's the best pier in Worthing but the issue is it is the only pier in Worthing
T. M.
Love this pier so relaxing and ice creams on sale at the front of the pier and also shop for ice cream coffee tea etc on the pier itself.
T. j.
Fantastic pier, great views, great to go in the traditional arcade
A. B.
Beautiful artwork in all the window panels down the pier. Great seafront views.
P. C.
Love the re conversion of the old South Pavilion nightclub into a bright classy tea room / cafe venue restaurant, a lovely spot to chill out & watch waves from with a nice cup of whatever
S. V.
Lovely place, was a bit windy when we went. Alot more quieter than Brighton. There was a fun fair on when we went for the kids. It's a pebble beach.
L. L.
Beautiful place to relax in the summer. Not only Worthing Pier is nice. The whole beach is wonderful.
s. h.
Lovely pier with some amusements and great views, lots of people fishing here as well
b. w.
The windows on the pier are so colourful and interesting. Provokes memories.
h.
Lovely walk on a lovely sunny morning. Great place to fish, and it's free!
C. G.
This is my GO-TO place; no matter my mood. Either alone or with a close friend.
P. A.
One of my top 60 Piers!
J. H.
Worthing pier is a gem of a pier. Not over touristy but beautiful.loved the coloured panels that run the length which can be seen a really long way away. Bar at the end and good fishing .
D. P.
Beautiful sea view and a peaceful place for a walk on beach.
J. W.
Strongly stylish, though only a limited menu. The walk to the pavilion is rewarding, as you see stories immortalised in glass art on the pier.
S. S.
Super restaurant at end of pier
M. L.
Nice views, very peaceful setting. Some photography opportunities. Yummy fish and chips nearby.
D. S.
The venue is beautiful and who wouldn't want to drink tea and look over the sea to the sound of a live pianist? The service was quick and efficient but limited engagement with the customers.
We were put off food due to the 40 min wait but will try again on a week day. I think with the number of staff on hand it would be good to have table service as an 80 year old woman shouldn't have to carry a try with pots of tea to her table.
L. C.
Lovely pier nice cafe/restaurant at the end. Free of charge.
I. S.
This is a great place for a light lunch. Today there was a pianist as background. It's all set in a wonderful 30s building which has lots of style. Lunch is only a jacket potato, soup or toasted panini but all very well done. Very friendly and helpful staff as well
C. F.
Loved it! Special planning resulting in a great visit experience
H. B.
A lovely place to visit and watch the world go by. Benches overlooking the sea and town
L. F.
The cream tea was nice. Lovely views of sea. Good photo opportunity.
M. B.
Love Worthing. Went down on the bike, sat on the beach in the sun ☺️😍 can't wait to visit again.
S. F.
On a lovely sunny day a walk along the pier at Worthing there is plenty to look at. The dividing glass panels are very interesting depicting many different aspects of sea side scenes. Eagerly awaiting the opening of the refurbished southern pavilion. A lovely relaxing place to sit and enjoy the scenery.
B. I.
Beautiful art deco pier, great walk to the end, interesting centre art display all the way down.
J. S.
Looks somewhat sad atm for obvs reasons but always glorious to be walking over the sea. Great view of the windmills out at sea
G. M.
Lovely place to sit and look at the sea. Beautiful glass pictures
N. D. F.
There's a lovely restaurant on site, a good walk all around and a good sized arcade
s. m. s.
Clean and quiet even though there an arcade there .Big bonus is you can take your dog there.
D. A.
It's a nice walk. There is an amusement arcade if you like that sort of thing and there is some brilliant stained glass art as you walk down the pier. You can also fish off the pier free of charge.
L. T.
It's pier, something is renovate all the time I go ( good improvement )
N. W.
It was a lovely and well looked after pier, with amusements and restaurant at the end, with great views!
C. W.
Nice place to visit if your in the area, some
Good refreshments, chips and fire cream for the kids also helped
B. J.
Not so long ago it was Pier of the year ,still relaxful and grateful for the kiosk 1/2 way down selling a selection of drinks and nibbles . He sells also at a acceptable price especially the ice creams ,pay him a visit and say Bernard the Busman sent you
N. C.
Lovley place, busy around the pier.
K. S.
Always lovely plenty off things to do great reasteraunts , lots to do. Nice and relaxing.
G. B.
Had a walk along the pier today very clean and tidy. Went into the perch for lunch great food great surroundings and amazing staff
S. H.
Lovely place, good shops. Highly reccommend the Worthing seagull poo as a souvenir! Makes for a laughable gift
S. G.
The new stained glass windows are amazing and the funny photo windows are great fun, very retro. We had coffee at the café at the end of the pier which was really good coffee.
M. E.
One of the very best place to enjoy the south coast seas view.
M. A.
Bueatiful place, I love it & set up, & shops are very near to beach. Lol
J. B.
Beautiful pier. Best I have seen in England, and no tacky amusements like Brighton
S. G.
Nice pier with art deco restaurant and good fishing
C. L.
Lovely well preserved art deco pier. I could see maintenance in progress whilst there and lovely to enjoy on a breezy autumnal day. A splendid focal point for Worthing and hoping an appropriate venue can be re established in the lovely pavilion on the seaward end. Recommend a sojourn if you are in the area !
a. p.
Was short visit, unfortunately and little windy but didn't put us off. Nice shopping.
L. M.
I really loved it. Nice little place with quite a few shops along the front. Bike hires etc. Loads of shops in town. Just be aware in the beach as people are allowed to have bbqs & some people are irresponsible & dont make sure the ashes are cooled. Just beware of that. Overall I really enjoyed our stay
L. S.
Lovely pier, with some nice views, restraunts and an arcade in the middle.
A. W.
Very nice people very welcome nice places to stay just got back going back again
C. H.
Clear sea, calm air,, blue skies, a peaceful lunch time looking out to sea.
S. A.
Nice walk area. Not many shops
V.
The view from the Pier is really nice. You can even see Brighton in the distance if it is a clear day.
B. N.
😍Amazing. this day was the most beautiful..fullmoon ..special bloodmoon..and the Sun😍🤗🤗gorgeous ☺️
Love it
A. R.
Lovely cafe. Small and friendly amusement arcade. Great place to visit.
-.
Lovely quiet pier. Not a lot going on or many places to sit but it's good for a stroll. The amusements were open and packed today, with plenty of 2p machines to enjoy.
H. W.
A nice pier, could do with a little tlc. It's kept clean and tidy with good covid precautions in place. Free to enter when I went. Not sure if this is the case all the time.
Good views of the end of the pier and lots of opportunities for fishing.
O. M.
Great place to fish and nice to have a walk around the pier.
M. B.
Lovely seaside attraction. Great for all the family and a photography hot spot!
K. S. P.
Worthing Pier is a lovely spot and a must when strolling around Worthing.
I had the pleasure of photographing an engagement session here and recommend it! It's much quieter than Brighton Pier. This session was at 11 AM on a Saturday in June and it was fairly easy to make it look like no one else was around.
I think it losses 1 star as I think there is a lot of potential not yet realised. The front is boarded up a bit and could use some TLC.
C. H.
I love the pier and the views out to sea and surrounding areas.
G. C.
Great example of a Victorian pier, well kept and a great little walk first thing in the morning
N. H.
Really pleasant place to be. The glass panels were beautiful.
B. A.
Really lovely old fashioned pier with penny arcade, fishing and great views of the coastline.
P. T.
On a sunny evening the pier is a great place to walkout on. The cafe was close but many people had brought their own drinks and food and were using the cafe tables.
c. o.
There is no smell of grease wafting around - unlike many sister piers - just a load of local artwork and, of you walk fast past the slot machine hell, a rather lovely cafe at the end of the pier. (The food choices weren't so fab last time I went, but the tea is proper). More than gorgeous. Great place for a date, an interview, a moment of hiding from everyone or whatever else you need.
A. W.
Love a wander up the pier, and gamble with 2p slots!
G. B.
It’s very nice place! Love the pictures showing it’s history
B. B.
Worthing beach best high tide at teatime or after lunch, warmer sea then especially in September
k. t.
Loved sitting there with my husband watching the world go by..
Loved the Windows on the pier too
C. M.
Still pier of the year in my opinion, despite only being runner up last time. Stunning sunset views from the end of the pier.
E. C.
Pleasant stroll the night before Storm Eunice.
L. L.
Nice place to take children's but not many shop or places to eat.
M. D.
Seems a very civilized place to have a stroll and enjoy the sea views . Toilet facilities near to the pier .
B. M.
What is there to say !! It's a pier to walk along with a 99 Cone (with a flake) when at the seaside.
M. M.
One od the prettiest places in the UK.
j. j.
Great food but could have been a little hotter.Staff very friendly and attentive. Will come again.
S. T.
Lovely pier with a fair amount of seating and best of all the fishing is free
A. J. A.
Very beautiful beach for a weekend getaway, only regret is not staying in Worthing for longer!
p. w.
Worthing pier was very quiet as it was a week day
P. H.
It's rather dated and has seen better times. A pleasant enough place for a stroll though
S. C.
Unbeatable views but the parent in me really worries about the gaps on the side railings! Could do with some grating in the gaps so children don't fall through!
I. M.
Lovely walk always on the promenade. Today was really special as the sea was coming out and the waves was really high:-) .
Z.
A beautiful place to have a wander and contemplate life. Also one of the best places on earth for sunrises and sunsets. It would be 5 stars if the local council looked after it and the facilities on it.
L. H.
Perfect seaside town pier. Dogs are allowed on this pier. Real credit to the town
A. R.
Lovely old pier. Nice to sit in the sunshine and have a coffee
D. S.
Went on the pier for my sisters birthday the restaurant was lovely
C. G.
Beautiful March day in Worthing.
G. A. (.
When the weather is warm and wind is calm I love to walk around Pier with my family. Specially during evenings.
j. t.
Lovely sunny Worthing seafront and pier a super walk in fabulous weather

D. B.
Beautiful place, the best vista & friendly staff 👍
J. D.
Serene and lovely pier, with a fabulous restaurant at the very end. Go, go, go!
R. D.
A nice little pier in a lovely town, water and beach quality great
T.
Fun stuff to do And look around it's AMAZING but it's So old but I don't Care its still history
K. G.
A great place to sit and think about NOTHING :)
B. B.
Nice place, friendly people and such a delicious food, really recommended 🙂
K. “. K.
A nice walk along the pier overlooking the sea. It will be even better when the restaurant at the end of it opens its doors after refurbishment.
J. C.
A stroll around the iconic pier is a must when visiting Worthing seafront.
C. S.
We happened to go there on a lovely sunny day which was nice.
P. C. J.
Lovely pier nice to visit with family also couples nice tranquil restaurant at the end of the pier with a nice view.
A. S.
Lovely pier, winner of Best UK Pier in 2008. Includes artwork from local artists, fishing if you know what you're doing, a fantastic pop up cafe selling creamy ice cream, teas, snacks etc. Good for a walk. Note dogs and bikes/skateboards not allowed on the pier.
T. B.
Quite simply a grand piece of England and voted the 2nd best Pier in the UK. Fantastic for a peaceful stroll, refreshments at the end or some time in the amusements.
Great fishing from the pier these days as well.
B. C.
Now the end is open for fishing can't wait to go back on it already
C. P.
A proper pier for enjoying the sea and not a tacky seaside attraction!
R. M.
It's a nice pier, the arcade brought back a strong sense of nostalgia for me. Lots of 2p machines so it didn't break the bank. It looks like fishing is a popular past-time on the pier too.
K. S.
Honestly in my eyes better than Brighton pier but so under neutralized amazing views
R. T.
Nice walk along the prom as I do like to be beside the seaside
A. Y.
Lovely little pier. Not as much to do as on Brighton pier, but that's no bad thing. It will be interesting to se what happens to the pavilion. Hopefully a restaurant with those beautiful views.
A. L.
Beautiful spot, especially for an evening ice-cream
p. w.
Beautiful walk around pier
D. H.
Just the best to sit & watch the world go by ,coffee & ice cream shack was open great tea & coffee excellent value for money
t. h.
Well maintained pier with interesting use of the glass panels in the windbreak and a charming cafe at the far end. July 2022. Cafe very thoroughly refurbished. Beautiful
F. b.
This facility is obviously recovering from the covid situation, the walk was good made better by lovely weather, the pier was well presented, the glass art was interesting along the central divider.
Some renovation work is happening at the south end but this didn't detract from the experience.
Well worth the stroll!
M. F.
My friends got married here and it was very lovely
C. M.
The bathroom curtains need to be replaced and the showers need a good clean. We were there when it was very hot and, like most hotels, you can only open your windows about six inches. No air-conditioning made this really uncomfortable with only the electric fan supplied. Great staff and the one guy that was dealing with the breakfasts was doing a great job. Right opposite the beach so its a great location but we wouldn't stay here again.
R. E.
Nice little pier worth a visit.
C. O.
The Pavilion at the end of the Pier is a nice venue in the summer for lunch or afternoon tea. It's also quite picturesque in certain lighting.
D. H. S.
A dog friendly beach, plenty of free parking
D. P.
Very busy but expected as school holidays.
Apart from that it was a good day out.
B. S.
What a beautiful place to be at sunset.
E.
Always a nice walk from Shoreham by sea to worthing pier when the tides out.
Sun was shinning no breeze ( little)
Pier is still very well used mixture of people you find enjoying the stroll up & around the pier, on a clear day you can see the Isle of Wight clearly.
D. “. L. L.
Traditional pier but with less gaps below you, which I prefer lol
M. T.
It's nice. Lots of glass plaques supplied by local businesses and groups depicting the history of the town.
Enjoyed seeing all the different things that cam up. I'm given to understand more maybe installed in some railings in the future as more people are interested.
J. T.
Very good weather. But not many tourist.
A. H.
Outside seating is awful, outside planters all empty. Service was good.
R. M.
Toilets need refurbishment. No locks on 2 cubicles.
E. M.
Well kept structure and not too crowded. perfect for inspiring walks
D. L.
Lovely old fashioned pier, great place for a walk over the sea.
K. D.
Historical facts about the pier are available at the entrance and restaurant at the end of the pier. Can be windy.
S. A.
Love little piece of history, beautiful views and a great arcade
a. c.
For all the bad press. Worthing is a very laid back and very friendly place .I try to come down to Worthing at least twice a week. Just for a little shopping, and coffee, there are numerous along the sea front and in the town close by. There is something for everyone, whether it be for children or adults. The beaches are kept nice and clean with plenty of seating, although it would be nice to see more seating on the pier. Definitely worth a visit.
J. M.
Beautiful art deco "tea room". Location is absolutely stunning and the original vintage fixtures and fittings are gorgeous. Fact the music playing was right for the era made it very atmospheric. Tea/coffee & cake delicious.
Why on earth aren't there a lot more people here??
Would be a fabulous wedding venue.
Just wish I had a ton of money to bring it back to its former glory - the building really deserves it.
N. G.
Really enjoyed my time here, great pier to walk down and chill. Check it out
S. W. (.
Great food in an amazing location, what more needs to be said.
G. P.
Early closing in the summer is a bummer, no chance to take night time pictures
D. R. P.
Well worth a visit when in Worthing. Excellent food in The Perch On The Pier.
M.
Lovely pier, great to walk hand in hand with the one you love!! 💚💜
M. T.
Lovely evening walk and amusements with my youngest daughter.
I. &. M.
Unspoilt pier, great cafe at the end
G. W.
Love Worthing, great scenery, very clean, great places to eat, lots to do
A. W.
Lovely old pier that's being well maintained.
P. M.
Lovely art deco cafe.
D. G.
The glass panels all along the central wall to the end are really lovely and worth seeing. Such great craft work. Such a shame the cafe on the end has closed down as it used to be great sitting on the end of the pier with a drink looking along the coast and hopefully one day will reopen. The arcade in the middle is fun and always busy.
D. R.
Not much to do, hard to keep up with its larger neighbour Brighton. Small Amusements to keep our 10 year old happy
P. A.
lovely place to sit and have a drink ,lovely staff
A. O.
Love sunny Worthing, my hometown enjoyed living here.
O. P.
Beautiful pier with nice views and good food
M. A.
Wonderful pier & the beach is fascinating.
S. S.
Amusement arcade pretty busy. Lots of fishermen at the end of the pier. We had a walk up and down. Bought an ice cream. Parking close on a road nearby. Enjoyable afternoon.
P. C.
A shadow of its 2006 winning self, but a pier on a glorious day is still a pier ☀ Some nice art work along seated middle and of course penny slots for the kids.
J. M.
Worthing Pier is an unmitigated delight. It has been thoughtfully modernised with some interesting features and displays, bit without detracting from it's authenticity at all. The deco cafe / bar at the end of the pier is under renovation at the moment, but if done with the same sympathetic attitude extended to the rest of it, could be absolutely stellar. Well worth a visit.
I.
I have visited the Worthing Pier before but there wasn’t anything much to do over here besides walking around it and it’s really breezy especially during the autumn period.
I am giving this 4 stars and a solid 7 out of 10.
If anyone has never been to Brighton before which is like 20 mins away from Worthing by train then I would definitely recommend the Brighton Palace Pier to you since they have plenty of rides and 2 arcades including donut shops, ice cream and souvenirs.
A. N.
Nowt open, just went on for a nose....open till ten apparently. Plenty of Anglers about, really mild evening, pretty cool I reckon...
D. L.
Quintessential English seaside pier with lots to offer....
C. Y.
Had a lovely time, brings back memories from my childhood
J. M.
A lot of the pier is currently sectioned off which unfortunately ruins the sights.
No toilets on the pier which surprised us so we ended up walking round in circles trying to find some.
Small arcade is the only thing left on the pier which was busy.
C. B.
Great pier, well maintained, art deco style. Always hss it's share of hoping fishermen, and lots of benches. It locks it 22:00. In the summer,an old school 1950s era ship will arrive from France, and you can pay 80 pounds to take a trip, looks really great.
Highly recommend visiting the pier,i think it is one of the best in SE coast,on par with Brighton's.
m. g.
Beautiful pier, loved it
G. C.
Great place to watch the starlings. When the new cafe gets finished it will be awesome!! Not keen on having people fish from there tho, think they should be moved, drinking and foul language spoils the vibe.
E. P.
The perfect place to see the sea and seafront. Great in all weathers.
M. T.
Always love walking down here. I like looking at all the glass murals by the local groups displayed along its length. It's nice to feel the sea breeze too.
S. L.
It was busy, bit windy, early evening and nothing beckoned. We walked the length of the pier and looked out which was lovely. Not sure what was available out on the pier but the most handy thing as we came off was a ladies loo
M. R.
Lovely day out great weather
B. K.
Lovely if you just want a walk out over the sea and have an ice cream which was cheap at £1.50. Also some lovely pictures running up the centre of the pier where from the opposite sides you can take photos looking through some disguises'. Looks like they are replacing some of the timber boards as some of the pier has restricted access
K. R.
A little run down but the views are amazing.
A. S.
Great walk along the pier.
Goo view
D. W.
I short walk on a windy day. Some lovely art work and the pier is being re developed
m. w.
It's a seaside pier not the best but also not the worst.
A. H.
It's good to be able to wakk along a British seaside pier, but this one is nothing grand, but is pleasant nonetheless. You wouldn't want to not visit the pier whilst visiting Worthing, but its not a particularly memorable experience. However, it's free admission and it's kept clean.
k. n.
A nice place to stroll out to sea, without getting your feet wet.
Has pleasant stain glass picture window displays - which with a setting sun behind them was stunning.
S. O.
It was a sunny but breezey day. Lots of work going on to spruce up the pier. We'll done Worthing.
L. S.
excellent food fantastic service highly reccomend
N. J.
We go there a lot nice places to see shops and a nice stroll by the sea
J. T.
It seems to be nice and cheerful , near shops and very convenient. Typical seaside pier but I think it is the nicer one than others I have been. Not too crowded.
m. w.
Really nioce place to visit in Worthing. Definitely need to be there when the sun sets happening. 100 rate it
J. F.
Worthing Pier is a lovely old fashioned Pier but the public toilets aren't great which is a shame. I realise it's very difficult to manage this as not everyone is bothered about cleaning up after themselves and cleaners often have a thankless task. But the lovely lady who served us icecream at the front of the Pier more than made up for the toilets!!!
P. J.
Plenty of vibrancy from fairground rides. The Dog Everything on The Green was excellent, plenty of innovative stalls selling everything from homemade dog treats to Energy Saver Management for Individuals.
It was a refreshing change to actually speak with people who were brave enough to float their new ideas.
Good Luck to Each and Every Stall on The Green last Sunday.
P. C.
Nice pier with a lovely display of commemorative stained glass. Work in progress on a large wooden building at end of pier. Nothing open on the pier Tuesday, 24th August
P. e.
A seal spotted this morning next to Worthing pier.
J. M.
Love the glass plaques depicting Worthing town+life! Beautiful views day+night. Well kept. Worth the stroll to end+back.
E. H.
Lovely place for a walk but not in the wind and rain !! Rather scary when the waves are crashing onto the shore and the swell was rather high when i was there most of the wee shops were all closed up but thats to be expected when its October !!
R. E.
Nice clean peir with restaurant at the end open now
A. P.
Good views with an interesting café at the end. Good disabled access but disabled toilet In café is a bit small.
G. M.
Great place to visit with lovely vues
M. E. B.
Disappointed end of pier restaurant not open yet. Could have more kiosks. Love the colourful glass windows telling the story of Worthing, going down the centre of the pier.
L. W.
I have visited the Pier many times over the years, when all the facilities were available. It is still pleasant to walk around and view the scenery. However, on this occasion I did not go onto the Pier.
A. G.
Not to big, but definitely a nice walk with family. Good arcade place and not to expensive
N. B.
The perfect place for a vintage style wedding. Great venue with amazing views across the sea.
C. C.
Lovely place to watch the sun set.
S. E.
Great fishing at the end of the pier....
r. g.
LOVELY!
C. K.
Such a pleasant place to go.
K. S.
Nice place to eat your fish and chips.
The seagulls aren’t as aggressive as Brighton so you can eat them in peace
F. S.
Nice views, few shops.
M. M.
Had a great day out at Worthing today. Initially worried that the weather would spoil the day and that due to the Bank Holiday weekend there would be too many people. Luckily although a bit breezy at times the Sun did Grace the shores and the smattering of people ensured our risk to leave home was one worth taking. We had an enjoyable fish and chip lunch in a near empty restaurant then drove home. Short but very sweet!
K. D.
Chill vibes, a lot of culture. Family friendly. A lot of boozers
G. D.
A lovely old pier further enhanced by the stained glass window project. A fantastic idea!
R.
Good pier but nothing exciting

A walk on any pier is always fun and even with restraunt and Pavillion closed Worthing pier is still worth a visit.
The main reason is the large display of coloured glass panels that run 3 deep on the centre barrier the the length of the pier.
There are always 1 or 2 I have missed before.
Pick a dry day and spend an hour just wandering and looking.

Lovely sunny day out for lunch

Not many rides working and the cafe is closed. Makes a change for the little ones.

Bear in mind we went in November and most stuff was closed, it's a good visit there are some good chip shops nearby to get food to eat on the pier. The pier has a bar at the end and probably open during high season. We had a good time for a day trip.

Worthing pier is always a delight to be at! Lots of cafes, restaurants are nearby and pretty much everything you need from the town centre which is a few blocks away.

Wonderful Worthing Seafront & Pier

It's ok as piers go. Not much to see and do in comparison to other nearby piers. But it is well maintained, and relatively peaceful so you can enjoy a walk out to sea and like it. Cafe at the front of the pier is nice and there are amusements in the middle.

It was a nice view and had some really good arcade. 👍😎

Nice clean seaside pier.

We enjoyed a great morning on the pier with ice cream from the kiosk on the pier very good value at £1.50 or £2 with 2 flakes
K. F.
Excellent views but it doesn't last long enough to take it all in. Could do with adding a few more rotations in.

They've sorted the place out. Good beer and great sound system

Beautiful beach, great views, nearby chip shop, pier venue to watch comedy and other shows, penny arcade and bars within walking distance.

We love Worthing and it's seaside. Worthing is beautiful and a very valuable town. I have seen annourmas development in the town and on seaside. Worthing is also surrounded by eye opening scenery and wonderful places to visit, these include garden centers, country side walks and historic places.

One way system isn't that clear, people don't socially distance. However, the pier is just beautiful and it looks like they are doing the ballroom up. The arcade is, well as you would expect. I love a pier, historical and beautiful great to see it is being looked after.

It's lovely to walk up and down this pretty pier, even in inclement weather, great views of Worthing's coast.

The Pier itself wasn't too bad, amazing fish and chip shops and other places nearby. If I were to rate the restaurants and takeouts nearby I'd rate it a 5/5, but sadly it's the pier in which I am rating.

This is a lovely venue but food and service lets the place down. The glass I was given to drink my bottle of water was greasy and smeared as you can see in the picture. I preferred to drink out of the bottle directly after getting this (which you have to get up to order and bring to the table yourself.)
The menu is basic greasy spoon food, which is if anything less versatile then your local greasy spoon caff because they print it clearly on the menu, "No changes" - meaning you get what they say in the menu on your plate. No swapping bacon for a sausage!
There is no waiter service and you pay up front... Exactly like at a greasy cafe. The whole experience is on the one hand upmarket, given the live pianist playing in the background and the art Deco building and the view, but down-market given the food quality, the caff menu and system of ordering and the lack of service. I think the owners need to rethink what market they are going for. It's literally a pricey mediocre greasy spoon caff (in a nice building).
It is also worth noting that when we called to book, we were told it was almost sold out but in reality for Sunday lunch, it was hardly a fifth full. Also, beware that the tables at the windows get very uncomfortable in the direct sunshine at midday and there are no options to shade or mitigate this.
This review would be one star less, ie 2 stars, but for the building and location itself, which on balance I think is worth nudging it just about to three. In reality it's 5 out of 10.

It's nice. Very pretty glass artwork captures the sun at times when it's not cloudy. The on pier amusement arcade is friendly, if underwhelming but its nice to pop in to see things!
K. S.
I love Worthing Pier, really enjoy looking at all the glass art, sitting looking at the ocean, great place to eat your fish & chips out of the box or drink & sundowner. Great shame more of the lights aren't lit so the art can be seen even when dark & it will be great to have a bar/cafe or whatever at the end of the pier open again, one day!

Charming pier with good facilities

On pier and surrounding it lots to , nice views too

OK and the arcade is nice and they've clearly spent money on it since the 80s/90s. However, unfortunately they've gotten rid of a lot of the old 80s and 90s arcade games. It's mostly 2p machines now and ticket machines sadly. And the cheap to play fruit machines have all long gone :o(

A great day trip from London. We arrived mid morning and it wasn't too busy. Our first trip out since lockdown easing. Would recommend

Seems like a good pier, not too commercialized.

Always a treat getting fish and chips, going to the arcade and having a walk down the pier! They could do with a few more seats as it gets very busy at weekends. We love the glass displays and my son loves the arcade! A great place to waste some spare change.

Great views from the Ferris wheel

The walk along the pier was great. There were glass pictures in the dividing panel that looked amazing with the sun shining though them. The pier was very busy with many visitors but we managed to sit on a bench and watch the world go by.

Whilst it does have an amusement arcade, the main attraction is a pleasant walk to the end of the pier offering a lovely view of the Worthing seafront and then east towards Brighton and east towards Portsmouth if it's a sunny day. You have local fishermen who sell fresh fish. And a lot of other cafes and bars at 5 minutes from the beach. Just be sure to always have some shoes with you.
