Reviews of Boroughbridge Camping and Caravanning Club Site

Great site, showers and toilets immaculate, John and Hazel very welcoming and helpful, it was our first visit but certainly not our last 20 minutes walk in Boroughbridge with pubs, take ways and restaurants. Good location to visit many other places.
C. P.
Stopped over here en route from Kent to Scotland on the hottest day of the year (40C in Lincolnshire). Was able to choose a pitch, which was great, as there was one right by the river.
Facilities are standard Camping & Caravanning Club, clean, tidy and well-maintained. Access is via steps up and down over a steep bank but there is a ramp around the bank for the less able bodied.
It was perfect for my needs.
M. S.
This is a lovely site over 3 fields with a separate field for a dog walk the staff are really helpful and the site is well cared for and the toilet block is spotless
S. S.
Really helpful staff. Loads of room on grass only pitches. Nice central location for attractions and short walk to Boroughbridge.

Great experience at Boroughbridge Camping and Caravan Club. Simple yet has everything you need. I cannot express enough how AMAZING the toilet and shower facilities are here. They're also able to have a one way in and one way out system for covid security in the toilet/shower blocks. Cleaned regularly, they're also kept to a high standard of hygiene. Washing up basins for campers are available in a covered room, 2 people at a time currently and is brilliant. Laundry airers available to hang washing out along with washing machines and dryers. Hair dryer I the shower blocks is free to use. On the camping field (non-electric) we were situated next to the campsite Park which is brilliant for the kids making memories and friends, next to a football pitch with goals and a lovely natural reserve for walking. A dog walking grassed area is available this bringing dogs. Situated perfectly for visiting attractions close by.
B. C.
Lovely C&C site just on the edge of Boroughbridge.
An easy 15 min walk will get you to a selection of pubs and restaurants.
The staff on site couldn't have been more helpful.
We would recommend this site to couples and families alike.
S. W.
A great site, within an easy walk into Boroughbridge.
Very helpful staff and great facilities.
As our first site as C and CC members we were really pleased with our stay.
Only downside is noise, day and night, both from the road and the dairy processing plant nearby.
Thank you for a lovely stay.
N. J.
Lovely well equipped campsite for tents, tourers and motor homes. Spotless toilet block and showers. Dog friendly. Has laundrette. Could do with having a small shop but a local morrisons isn't far away.
J. L.
My wife & I Stayed at this site 16th July to 23rd July in our trailer tent. Excellent stay, lovely friendly staff. Great clean shower & toilet facilities. Great surrounding areas to visit only a short drive away. Would definitely recommend & we would definitely return.
T. A.
It's a while since I have been to this site, since then it has seen some upgrades and modernisation. The toilets and washing facilities are very good pitches are well laid out and the surrounding scenery is very pleasant. The on site Wardens were very friendly and helpful. The only caveat I would have is that is right next to a river and during excessive periods of rain you may have to move at short notice
M. J.
Nice site. Got all the amenities you need and an enclosed dog walk area. Friendly staff. 15-20 minute walk into Boroughbridge where there are shops, pubs and places to eat. From there you can get the bus to York and Harrowgate. There is an industrial park near the site which gave off a little noise. During the day and evening it didn't bother us at all. Overnight to us just sounded like a gentle hum. Didn't stop us sleeping at all.
S. R.
Clean, tidy site with nice hot showers. Short walk into the little town and there are longer walks along the river. Downside is the noise from the industrial site which kept me awake at night. Shame.
S. K.
Lovely stay at this site. Well maintained, clean amenities. Nice dog exercise area and plenty of place for kids to run wild. Nice camping area too.
N. R.
Very nice campsite kept very tidy and clean and friendly staff these are what you expect from official C&C sites only downside to the site is the factory across the road which works 24/7 so there is machinery noise through the night which is why i gave 4 stars other than that its worth a visit.
s. a. H.
Lovely place spent 3 nights with my sister and brother in law in our caravans to see in the new year will definitely go back in the summer x
R. H.
Good site for mid route stopovers or base to explore surrounding area. The site is well laid out and facilities clean.
The local industrial estate does create some noise even during the night but not unbearable.
S. T.
Just perfect for chilling, another fantastic long weekend at one of our favourite sites. Spotlessly clean and well kept, nothing is too much trouble for the very helpful and friendly staff. Can't thank you all enough x
A. L.
Very good set up, next to river even though you can't get to it, Boroughbridge is 1 mile walk away. Not a pub close, which is a little sticking point. But staff are super friendly and so are all your neighbours.
G. P.
Lovely site, very friendly, good facilities, and very picturesque. Slight downside with the flood risk and dairy processing unit over the road but wasn't an issue for us. Staff were very friendly and super helpful.
L. H.
Only here for 2 nights but found the whole site Immaculately . Bathrooms clean and smelt fresh. Wash up area clean too. Staff informative and friendly.
Close enough to Boroughbridge to walk and pick up supplies or visit one of the lovely pubs.
A. R.
A well run, organised, clean campsite. Helpful staff. A long walk into Boroughbridge for me, buses are infrequent, in our motorhome without our bicycles unfortunately. But great if you have transport.
L. S.
Lovely site. Toilets a little far away. Would go back.. Nice to have the wardens show you to your pitch.
M. D.
A lovely campsite all the amenities are spotless it is nicely situated to get to York,Harrogate and Ripon,Dog have to be kept on leads but there is a dog park where you can let the off the lead
M. M.
Great site near to Boroughbridge 8 miles to Ripon was a fairly flat cycle ride
My pitch overlooked the river which was a bonus to me.
L. C.
Very clean and tidy site. Lovely dog walk adjacent to the site. We didn’t have any issues with noise at all - there are two fields so perhaps one is farther from the motorway. Great staff, very friendly and helpful.
S. B.
No room for motorhomes this weekend! Beautiful lake instead.
B. M.
Great site, can be noisy from A1. Tina & Graham will look after you.
D. B.
Very nice site, good facilities and access, and road network all accessable.
M. K.
First time on the site it was lovely everything you needed was there staff fantastic we will be coming back as we still have plenty to see
J. T.
Spotless and friendly helpful staff. Handy for A1 stopover but awfully noisy from motorway and nearby industrial estate works.
T.
Well kept site, great, clean facilities and very friendly and helpful staff. Even tried to find us a local garage when our van broke down.
A. C.
A nice site just off the A1 uesful overnight or longer stay. Set on banks of river Ure but as the guide says some noise from local industry and traffic noise from motorway particulary when wind is from the east.
D. B.
A very nice site clean and welcoming. Only downside was noise from industrial units opposite.
D. P.
Stopped for 2 nights, lovely site, levelled pitches, clean, nice facilities (free showers) laundry machines, little shop on site, fish and chip van stops 3 times a week.
D. R.
Lovely little site, very friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely be back!
J. F.
An odd little site, great for stop overs if enroute to somewhere but it is wedged between an industrial estate and a river that you have no access to.
I can't imagine why you'd stay longer than a night or two.
r. p.
Lovely site friendly staff very well maintained
S. L. S. P.
Helpful staff even for a late arrival really good toilet blocks very clean well equipped. Local village nearby recommend Black Bull in for good food good beers and a real pub atmosphere with open fires
C. V.
Handy for the A1M, north or south bound.
Facilities are good.
Staff were very helpful.
The dog walk is the best on any club site we have visited.
Hadn't thought much about that area, just used the site as a over night stop, but now, we plan to go back there again in the new year and stay longer.
V. H.
Had a very nice few days here ,very quiet and relaxing ,well organised ,will be going again .
P. K.
I would have given this site five stars however the write up suggests that the circular walks are reachable from the site. The local walk is almost impassible, let alone impossible....from Roecliffe to Newby Hall.....a dissapointment, but apart from that, very clean and friendly staff x
H. S.
Beautiful site, clean facilities and lovely staff! Would recommend a visit!
P. H.
Arrived late, reception closed but greeted within 2 minutes. Short grass, hard standing for caravan, electrics close. Toilets and showers spotless. Reccomend.
W. S.
Nice quiet caravan site. Well run. Little bit of noise from the industrial site at night. But didnt disturb my sleep. Well placed for visiting other places.
S. H.
There is so much to do in the surrounding countryside you will never get bored, but if you need a rest, watching the boats go up and down the river helps you unwind on this peaceful, clean, well run site.
G. R.
A friendly , helpful team keeps the site immaculate . After a warm welcome and helpful information I was shown to my pitch . Throughout the stay I regularly saw the staff about the site and were on hand for any enquiries. I would definitely recommend the site
M. W.
Lovely site along the river with village nearby and dog friendly pub. Staff excellent, friendly and helpful.
K. L.
First time we have been to this site in over 6 years, they have installed more hard standing pitch's and raised all the electrical connections to over a metre high due to flooding from the river which happens every now and then. Toilet block very clean and site tidy. Due to the events of the past year very busy like all sites but we'll worth the visit.
K. M.
Lovely open site. Quite busy when we visited, but still relatively quiet. The nearby A1 is just a subdued roar in the background. The facilities are clean and presentable. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. There are two areas onsite to exercise the dog.
p. m.
Rather nice small town. Very clean and lots of people laces to eat. People there are very nice polite and welcoming
N. F.
Superb. Slight noise from A1(M) and morning clatter from dairy opposite. Lovely river Ure adjacent. Immaculate facilities as always. Lovely people. Very quiet this Autumn and Winter. Now all year.
H. H.
Beautiful site well kept toilets and showers we only stayed 1 night for a stop over, but definitely will return for a longer stay highly recommended
e. h.
First time we've been here but won't be our last we got a very friendly welcome and was allocated a lovely pitch had everything explained to us, the site was emaculate as was the facilities block can't wait to get back
p. B.
Nice campsite very clean and well maintained, very helpful staff, only downside is not enough Toilets, I usually had to queue.
T. H.
The site and staff are great and Boroughbridge is lovely. Sadly the site is close to the A1M and a large refrigerated goods warehouse and delivery hgv depot. The lorries drive too fast on the road from the site to the town and the refrigeration machinery drones loudly all right. We used red wine to blank it out ;)
A. B.
Very friendly greeting as usual always show you to a pitch. .Site very clean and tidy good enclosed dog walk ,toilets very clean .also site well placed just of A1 ideal for stop over .25 min walk into Boroughbridge .
S.
This was a nice site situated between the moors and dales. We had the honeymoon suite pitch 45 furthest from toilets. Sadly the river is over the fence but you cant actually see it, a wasted opportunity. The facilities were clean but a little outdated. The dog walking area is a field but a secure one. Its a short walk into Boroughbridge which is a lovely little town. We found the walking locally not so nice so we drove out to the moors and dales
g. s.
Easy access, nice and quiet, plenty of space, staff were spot on helpful in every way
J. P.
Real nice clean and level site, excellent location for visiting the area
C. B.
A great friendly site, with Dog area, there's a huge wildlife area in the middle of one of the fields, but also a children's play park and foot ball pitch. The facilities were spot on, and very clean, including toilets, showers, washrooms, pot washing area and laundrette. There is WiFi available on the site but seems to be only available when near the entrance to the site. There was a lot of hardstanding pitches with hook up and a seperate part for tents etc. The staff were very informative informative friendly.
C. E.
This is a good site within walking distance of Boroughbridge. The pitches are well maintained, facilities very good and site staff pleasant and helpful.
B. M.
Unfortunately we were evacuated because of floods from adjacent river. Disabled facilities could be difficult to access up long slope but site very good, walking distance to lovely town
L. C.
Very nice site, good welcoming when you arrive,
K. S.
A lovely site and very convenient for many local places of interest and walks
D. G.
Will be revisiting, very handy for Rippon and Harrogate.
C. W.
Lovely campsite. The facilities are clean and tidy. The kids loved the play area. The river is well fenced.
The only downside is the constant hum of the A1 but we didn't notice it much.
S. R.
Mainly a static van site 6 or 7 touring pitches.Viv an Roger make you feel at home plenty of space for the young one's and walking dogs big wig wam style tent wi a great fire music on will call back appy dayzzzźz
J. T.
Lovely little site. We had a warm welcome and a peaceful stay. Short walk to Boroughbridge and the WiFi was brilliant. Definitely will be visiting again
A. W.
Nice campsite.but they have ruined there water front..and they close all the toilets and showers at 10.30 till 12.30 to clean
🤯
P. E.
This was our first time away with our caravan and on arrival the wardens were helpful offering a choice of pitches. Site was clean, dog friendly with a great fenced off dog walking area. The toilet and shower facilities were spotlessly clean. Overall it was a great holiday on a lovely site we were sorry to be leaving. We had read that there may be noise from a dairy and the A1 but can honestly say we didn't hear anything too intrusive during our stay. Highly recommended
R. W.
The site is well kept and the staff are friendly, helpful and always had a smile even with the rain. One of the best, if not the best ablution block's in the C&C set up.
K. D.
Very nice staff so helpfull clean tidy site
C. A.
Another visit to this very nice site just off the A1 and very convenient for stop off although we staying longer term this time. Well placed to visit popular sites in Yorkshire. Very well kept site and efficient friendly wardens. Excellent toilet, shower, laundry and dish washing facilities too. Directions for walking into town available from site office and good dog walking area on site. There is a pub within walking distance of the site in nearby village.
R. F.
Camping and caravan club site, lovely site, staff and facilities would definitely recommend.
P. F.
Nice site. Lovely new shower block. Shame didn't make shower area better. Sprays beyond shower part, wetting floor where you dress. No squeegee. Just a mop which doesn't help remove water.
Lovely dog walking areas....have to walk through tent area first, by which time, dogs already performed!!
20 min walk to Boroughbridge.
No issue with noise from dairy. Can hear a1 but not a problem.
J. P.
Really good setting for a site. A shame that the river wasn't visible or accessible from the site. Good clean facilities. Fish & chip van visiting the site 3 times a week was great, especially after a long day walking. Staff mostly very friendly and helpful. I'm not sure if I will go back, but I enjoyed my time there. A genteel feel to the place, site dominated by older Caravanning couples mostly. So if that's your thing, you will love it.
s. c.
20minute walk into bourghbridge village with shops and take away chip shop also marina
M. E.
NICE FOUR DAY STAY BEFORE EASTER. QUIET CLEAN SITE.
A. L.
We only stayed briefly overnight but the impression we got was marvelous. We arrived VERY late, much later than we said we would. The staff were wonderful and understanding and allowed us to get pitched by letting us know in advance we're we were allocated.
Shower blocks are very modern and spotlessly clean.
There is some noise from the A1(M) but not too bad.
G.
Arrived yesterday to a really friendly and helpful welcome. Site is a quiet oasis just off the A1, near the pretty village of Roecliffe and set next to the River Ure. Enjoyed a lovely river walk yesterday and looking forward to today's wander.
n. h.
Nice C&C site , close enough to Boroughbridge to walk if reasonably fit. Boroughbridge itself has a number of pubs and earing places. Site staff very friendly and overall opinion of the facilities onsite are really good.
S. G.
We spent a couple of nights on this site. We found the staff friendly and helpful. Facilities were kept clean and tidy. The site is situated next to the River Ure which does flood but is picturesque, especially in the summer sun. Buses to Boroughbridge are few and far between, about four a day from the site entrance. The town is a 20-30 min walk. We like this site.
G. T.
Staff are very friendly and hard working. Site is well kept and quiet. Toilet and shower facilities are kept emaculately clean by staff and campers and are of a very high standard. There is some noise from the A1 that you can hear but it did seem distant when trying to sleep so didn't particularly bother me
P. “. W. A.
Our favourite campsite
r. e.
Stayed for 2 night. Lovely shower and toilet block. Never found out how to walk along river though. Lol. Nice quiet site
S. K.
Would have been 5 Star but I don't like my money going out of my bank before we arrive thinking of leaving the club for its policy on refunds at 28 day notice to cancel a booking wasn't enough when we cancelled our xmass booking at Keswick
M. H.
Nice camp site but quite noisy. The A1 in one direction and construction noise in the other. There was also loud bangs from bird scarers which terrified our dog. Not somewhere I'll be returning unfortunately.
S. S. (.
Another excellent Camping & Caravan Club Site.
Close to the A1 to break up long journeys north.
As well as well placed to visit York, Ripon and the smashing neibouring hills and countryside
A.
My favourite campsite, close to lots of places to explore. Facilities are just as good as I remember them from when I was younger. Nice spacing between pitches on the camping field
P. D.
Nice site with all facilities you would expect. The full service pitches are located by the road so I would avoid those unless you need too be near the toilet and shower block. There is a lot of traffic from the nearby dairy but the rest of the site is quieter. Fish and chip van visits three times a week.
R. H.
Really nice, reasonably small site. Bit of noice from neighbouring industrial site, dairy farm and A1 but soon got used to as background noise. River alongside with occasional sitings of motor cruises but site does sometimes flood, it had been evacuated the day before we arrived but the ground was well drained and reasonably firm again by time we arrived.
T. B.
Stayed two nights here, the facilities are modern and clean and the staff were friendly only notable point is there is a slight noise from the A1M in the distance but not a problem
J. M.
Nice site but a bit noisy from local factory
S. W.
Customer service and staff are happy to help with any questions
P. D.
Good location next to A1 a lot quieter now you can hear the A1 depending on wind, hardstanding all nicer their is a local pub but closed when I was there. Otherwise nicer staff nice place
S. S.
Lovely clean showers and good facilities for pets. The pitches were a bit tight, and we were not givent clear instructions on how to approach allocated site, so setting up was a bit stressful, but the pitch was nice and flat. Lovely walks nearby.
D. E.
It’s what it says on the tin. It has a lovely nature area, bird boxes, bat boxes, the facilities are very good, the staff are lovely and it’s a relief dogs are asked to be on leads. There is a fish and chip van that comes round and at a good price. Morrison’s is down the road, good food too as do the pubs. And yes you have to get used to the dairy and some road noise but it’s what it says on the tin.
N. O.
We are staying here now until Sunday, nice site. Not too busy, friendly wardens. 25 mins steady walk into Boroughbridge centre from site.
B. k. 2.
I'm actually here right now owner's are so contemtive and wonderful I had to have an ambulance to tend and they where so wonderful and understanding and accommodating of the most beautiful sites as a member I've stayed on ty so much ❤
C. T. R.
A lovely friendly site, a perfect location for visiting many areas in North Yorkshire.
K. H.
Although this is one of our local sites we have been for about 18 months. What a surprise I knew work had been carried out but was really impressed with the new hardstanding pitches. As we have three large dogs we always need the awning and now with gravel pitches no more muddy awning. New children's playground too (although we are too old for that now). New wardens too that are so helpful. Well done CCC hope to be back soon.
a. c. “. y.
Lovely site good amenities, bus stops at entrance of camp, take you to town or other towns, plenty of walksfrom camp 20 min walk into town, pubs cafes and shops good all round site ....
S. T.
Great place, lovely polite people. Ground was good, surroundings good... Could not here the traffic people mentioned, but maybe the wind was in a different direction. Dog friendly, lovely walk along the river.
Amenities were very good and very clean.
J. B.
Excellent site spotless toilets and showers very busy site wardens do great job
Stayed for 11 nights plenty to do in the area
T. R.
Enjoyed five days with our caravan there, worried about reversing onto pitch as am caravan novice,so big thanks to Graham, who instructed how to reverse onto pitch ..
All the the staff were a great help, and very knowledgeable about all aspects ,caravaning and local areas.
The camp site, was exceptionally clean ?plenty toilets and showers,no extra cost for a showers, will stay there again
W. E.
Clean, well kept campsite. Only reason not giving 5 is there wasn't really anything we could do within walking distance.
B. S.
Nice Club Site, good facilities, some pitches hard to set up on (defo need motor movers, also easier to reverse on to pitch). Very helpful hosts and warm welcome. Popular site, fully booked during my vist.
S. H.
Pros: Immaculate toilet block. Very good hardstanding. Friendly staff. Easy access from A1.
Cons.... Low rumble noise from Dairy/Factory across the road. No access to river. No ball games allowed on playing field.
A. D.
Clean tidy site and facilities. Good stop off from A1
G. A.
Great place with good facilities, easy to find and get in and out of. Next to a river. Town nearby for basic shopping.
D. B.
quite a nice site..toilet/shower block clean and mod ..
feel they seem to put too many caravan/tents/ motorhomes near each other even though there seems lots of spaces free??
some dog owners still have a problem cleaning up their pets waste!!..
T. a. t. b. K.
Nice clean site, but there's quite a bit of noise coming from the milk factory near the camping field and it goes all nite.
K. W.
Perfect for dogs in an enclosed field. Shower toilet block great. Very tidy site. Great staff, Criss was very pleasant and his wife. 3mins away in car Morrisons and town centre. Bakerys great, honesty parking
R. S.
Tyipical club site, spoiled by yapping dogs as many are these days. Next to a river but you can't see it or access it. Next to an A road but worse still next to an industrial area with noise 26-7. Sounds like a combine working in the next field. Site is not actually in Boroughbridge itself, you have a 20 minute walk along the road, under the A1 to get there, but worth the walk, nice little town. Recommend the Black horse, good ole local. Site has clean loos and friendly staff, good site for a stop over but not a holiday.
A. H.
Ideally placed within walkable distance from Boroughbridge
A. N.
Great site, nice welcome from the warden's. Toilet block very clean and a decent little dog walk.
A. B.
First of all the good stuff...the staff are friendly and helpful. The toilet / shower areas are spic and span.
After that....the location is next to an industrial estate and things were a bit whiffy on arrival. I was surprised at the price....it was much more than advertised on the C&C club website.
Sadly the roads are not made up and we were confronted with a muddy access road with puddles. We were allocated a perimeter pitch which didnt allow enough space to reverse the van in. Fortunately the staff were on hand to push the van in. There is a river bordering the site but there is no access. .
Boroughbridge is a lost town...with no appeal whatsoever...unless you like Estate Agents...Charity shops and Nail bars. Possibly the nearby Morrisons has sucked the life out of the Town Centre which is a shame.
We had 2 nights here which is more than enough. My advice...travel a little further and try Thirsk or even York.
K. H.
Very pleasant welcome and useful information given. Spotless facilities, quiet and spacious site.
J. A.
Had a good 8days on this site in July well run site facilities always clean plenty to do in the area a visit to York is a must
S. J.
A very pleasant campsite, handy for visiting Boroughbridge and surrounding areas. The staff are very friendly and helpful, well worth a visit.
L. W.
Stayed in a lodge for four nights in February. Very clean and well equipped with everything you need. Full size fridge/freezer. This is a camping and caravanning club site which is open all year. On the other side of the road is an industrial park which didn't particularly disturb us as we were out for most of the day. There is a Morrison's supermarket within 5 minutes drive. We chose this area because it was central to where we wanted to go, ie; Wetherby races, Harrogate, York, Ripon. Boroughbridge town centre is very small with not many shops at all. It is right next to the A1/M1 so ideal for getting around the area. I like the site as it has security barriers and usually find that C and CC sites are well maintained.
B. G.
Walking distance to town. Minor noise polution from road and dairy. Great stay with friendly staff - We will return.
Y. R.
Extremely clean friendly service needed a little bit more seclusion a little noisy with the refrigeration factory next door it's like being on a giant ship🤔
L. B.
Lovely site near River dairy opposite can be noisey at night but never put us off staying. Immaculate facilities great base for days out.
m. n.
Nice site, good wardens, clean facilities. Just a pity unable to access the river with SUP board from over the fence.
S. M.
Immaculate Toilet block, although the fixed head showers were a little cool for my liking. Site is the opposite side of the A1 to Boroughbrige also across the road from a large industrial area which operates through the night. I can recommend the local fish and chip shop in Bouroughbridge ( make sure you get some scraps)
Great location for heading out to explore in North Yorks
A. D.
One of the best sites that we have stayed at. Facilities modern and spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed out stay and hope to return.
H. S.
Really lovely staff so so helpful and kind. Site is clean and toilets etc spotless .walk into town easy and great pubs etc.
S. L.
A really good site, lovely walks close by. Not far to travel to shops in Boroughbridge, Ripon and Harrogate.
E. G.
Although some reports say this site is noisy and close to an industrial site we encountered no problems during our stay. Wardens are very helpful.
R. W.
Stopped off for two days on way to Milarrochy Camp site in Scotland. Facilities up to usual standard for Camping and Caravanning Club site. Central position for a lot of places to visit. Highly recommended
Q. B.
We live 'down south' in Kent and this is a convenient place for us to stay in our campervan when heading 'up north', on this occasion to Northumberland. We've stayed here before and everytime, the place has been immaculate - both in terms of the pitch and especially the facilities. We've only ever 'passed through' so don't know the surrounding area, but will definately consider staying here again when we venture northwards.
B. D.
Easy to find, staff very friendly and helpful. Didnt feel obligated to buy any items unlike other places visited before, will visit again soon to get those items that you would struggle to find anywhere else good value for money.
G. C.
Really well run site.
P. S.
Peaceful Riverside camp site. Showers and toilets very clean. Very friendly stewards.
R. M.
Flat clean well maintained camp site close to the A1M run by the Camping and Caravan club. Make's a good stop over point and a fantastic base for those wishing to explore Yorkshire, the sales and moors
J. S.
Really enjoyed our stay. Nice to have a field for the dogs to run. Very clean facilities. Staff were very welcoming and helpful.
G. C.
Lovely stay as usual, we come here often. Facilities are lovely and clean. Site staff friendly and helpful.
a. h.
Super place, lovely staff,
K. H.
Had a great 2 night stay, peaceful site and a cracking pub in the village! Can't wait to get back
A. P.
Nice site quite which is what one wants staff take u and yr vehicle your site and r very helpful only thing was showers which were very harsh wasn't u till we were ready for cuming home that I found out they had a disabled shower u had to go to reception for key would hv been nice to know about this maybe I should hv asked about disabled showers etc I will in future
A. W.
Lovely clean site, wardens are great. It does have a back ground noise from local industry , but would recommend for one to two nights stay.
E. C.
Lovely site, well placed for visiting North or South, friendly very helpful staff
G. F.
Very handy for us, last night of a break and didn't want to go home, dropped in there...total peace n quiet.
C. W.
Excellent site been a few times. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very dog friendly and they have done a lot to improve the site. Would recommend
D. P.
The site was lovely and the staff were lovely and helpful. Just off the A1 with so much to do within a short drive. We will definitely return to this site.
D. J.
Nicely kept site, not too big. Friendly and welcoming staff.
P. D.
Great site would recommend and Great people
J. P.
Very clean. Shower was a surprise when cold water hit me at first but then very pleasant.
B. C.
Lovely campsite with great helpful staff and lovely facilities. Bit of noise from the industrial estate over the road like a generator and some lorries at times but I got used to that.
D. G.
Typical CCC, toilets and showers spotless, pitches reasonably flat, the thing that lets this site down is the staff, my impression is its just a job where other CCC site wardens are full of enthusiam and try really hard. The wardens at this site drop you on a pitch and then vanish.
S. c.
Clean and well played out. A little noisy so close to the A1 and a shame any walking must be done via road and no access to the river.
A. G.

The facilities were very clean, showers were lovely and hot.The tent area was spacious so we weren't on top of each other.Great helpful staff. The only thing wrong with the site was road noise and opposite I think was a dairy/farm which had lorries coming and going all through the night, nothing the site can do about either which is a real shame.
