Nice and big and spaces. Good for kids and children. There's a huge field surrounding the park, with football posts on one side. -Lots of playground attractions to go on. Wish it had more shade. This place hasn't changed in years. -Fix the zipline. On of the best things there. It's been broken for years.

Pretty nice! I really like the pathways under the blossom and trees around the back of the park, and the tennis courts there too. Haven't really seen the playground but looks fine. The front of the park near the road is a bit run down but it's really nice as you go further in and towards the big old house. A couple of strange characters can be seen about but generally it's good! 4/5

I really like Addison Howard's playground. There is equipment for the very small ones and slightly older kids too. Only let down are the two open entrances which haven't got gates. Not great for nosy little ones who want to explore a bit more.

I have been there to play football with my friends and I love it. Though it so wide and large, parking is very less in number and it is so far away. Maybe I felt like that because I was exhausted lol. Enjoy your summer there with friends and family.

I have not been there for a long time but I know it's very spacious to play football, to cycle, to chill. Unfortunately it's not good to walk around alone often even tho some look at me as though I need a company or something. Some of my friends live in Birmingham and Luton. So it is hard to make friends in Bedford. I'm not someone that likes to be around a lot people so I kinda chill down under a tree somewhere and listen to SoundCloud music. There are times boys call me to play football or he know have fun a little so I go. It's a good place to exercise as well. I recommend anyone who wants to go there.

OK for a very short walk. Well under half hour round whole park. Play area looks good, but I'm far too old for that 😄 Lots of rubbish up near the old (what looks derelict) house. Like the big old trees.

It's spacious with plenty off space to run around & have fun. I find that there's not much for children older.than about 10 years off age. Plenty off football pitches & trees + benches to sit under by. However, there's only 1 toilet available & it doesn't allways work or have adequate facilities. I live opposite the park & often find that people have littered whilst being there, which upsets me as there's plenty off bins. It's right near the bus stops going to & from Bedford town, which is handy if you don't have a car. There is parking available if you do have a car. The park is full off grey squirrels, they may come near you, if you're lucky enough. I have had many encounters off the squirrel kind, lol. All in all, a good park with scope for improvement.

Our Grandchildren love it. Just a shame people throw so much litter 🙄. But the good news is we saw a Council vehicle clearing it up. Why are people so inconsiderate! It's not up to the Council to clear it up.

Its a large well kept park. Its used for lots of events such as dog training, body combat classes. But its also attended by people walking, jogging, exercising dogs, book reading groups. There is a variety of trees to see oak, horse chesnut, sycamore. Some look quite old. Its very peaceful and spacious. Also has a play area for children & now exercise machines to use outdoors.

Fun! When I was younger I absolutely loved coming here! In fact, I would beg my parents to bring me. I used to go every year with my friends but due to Covid, we couldn't this year. A few things in the park need to be updated but other than that it's a great place to take children.

It's not a bad park, but have always thought it could do with a face lift to make it more inviting. Kids play area is decent although the zip wire is in need of repair. Kept tidy too. Looking forward to having an ice cream or two this summer from the ice cream van and the lovely James

Basically i was a volunteer litter picker for two hrs .The park is family friendly and james ice lollies made all the difference there is a real air of football fun with young romance thrown in. Fantabidozy for a bank holiday weekend.

It's only a park! There aren't any gardens It's muddy and wet after all the rain but it's great to have somewhere close to home to walk the dog. If only it was easier to cross the main road

So nice to have such a large green space in a family urban area. Although this is off a main road, it has a children's park which is safely gate posted (although I'm sure adult supervision advised!) Its a lovely play park, with some gym type equipment things, that adults & teenagers can enjoy - well, I do anyway!! There is enough room for dog walkers, football games, the weekly workouts & there have been some improvements since my last visit; more benches, more bins & more dog waste bins (important to the whole of the parks' other users.) The trees are lovely & many & the squirrels are numerous, cheeky & not lacking in confidence! Good for walkers, runners & cyclists & in good weather, just for lazing about on the grass, either with a picnic or just a good book. Of working/training in nearby area, it's a great place to really escape to for half an hour or so. The council do well in upkeep of the park. A refreshing green space & a welcomed one 🙂

Great park, with plenty of green space and a fabulous playground with plenty of activities for all ages. Well maintained and reasonable lighting make this a park that can be used during the day and the evening. Often used for jogging, circuit training and football plenty for anyone of an active disposition ... or just a 'nice' walk in amongst the mature trees and green space.

A great day out with all the kids ,played rounders then football, a quick trip to the playground with the little one,then ice creams all round, always a good vibe here,my only issue was the overflowing bin at the playground, although to be fair there are other bins,even inside the playground but there are apparently plenty of lazy parents out there

Nice park, the kids love it. But no free public toilet that I'm aware of puts us off visiting. The last time we went the pay toilet wasn't working, and we had to walk our then two year old up to Sainsbury's.

Great place to hang out with friends, good for pic-nics, the park inside it is good for a range of around 1 to 18 years old to play in, it's also good for taking your dog for a walk or even going on a walk or jog by yourself or with others.

Pleasant public park given to the public by the Addison family who once owned the land. When their only son and heir was killed in WW1 they bequeathed it to the people to be used as common land.
