A very spacious parking space, justva few minutes from town centre and a very good price for a whole day.

Free parking for first 2 hours and you can return without penalties. might be little out of the town centre but there are some extra large parking spaces throughout the car park which helps if you have a large car or need extra space to unload . Electric charging points and It also feels safe .

Prices much lower than other council car parks, for only an extra few minutes walk to the town centre. Monthly/yearly discounted passes (~£50/month) are available from the council on request. The first 2 hours are free and pricing thereafter is as follows: 1 Hr - £0.50 2 Hrs - £0.90 3 Hrs - £1.50 4 Hrs - £2.40 4+ Hrs - £3.50 Open 6am-8pm Mon-Sat (Closed Sundays) Recent widening of the spaces has made this car park much easier to park in. There used to be 3 very narrow spaces between each building support column, but now, these have been combined into 2 much much wider spaces as indicated by the white lines (the blue lines are the old spaces). Some smaller spaces still remain, however. Since December 10th, there's been a new chip coin system in place - similar to what River Street car park uses. There are 2 payment machines - one at Derby Place and one at Wellington Street. They take cash, card, or contactless - a much better upgrade from the 1 cash only one before!

Very cost effective parking - care needed to get a wide enough space, end bays have pillar intrusion: you might park but can't get out!. Clean and well lit.

Find the ramps very tight and have clipped my wheels on concrete edges as my car is probably bigger than the original designer of the car park had in mind. Perhaps covering the edges with rubber might help.

Free up to 2 hours. Wide spaces. Charging point inside. But weird system of following the direction of traffic!

The only parking in the town centre offering free option (<2hrs), but OMG it's soo tight and usually crowded. Expect to spend a while looking for a free spot that doesn't have a (building support) column in it.

Fantastic place to park for a few reasons: 1.The first two hours are free every day! 2. The bays have recently been redone and they are massive, no need to worry about banging doors, there's plenty of room. It's not as close to the town centre as the other multistorey car parks but the price more than makes up for that. Sure it's maybe a 5 minute walk maximum to the centre of town but that's not a problem for most. The other day I parked her for 2 hours and 53 minutes and was charged 50p. Bargain.

Handy if you want a cheap/free car park during weekdays ... and can get a large space. The location is only about 5 minutes walk from the centre of town so it's not a bad location. Due to the current council tariffs (check the website) the first 2 hours are currently free every day (closed on Sundays though). However as many have pointed out, the spaces are VERY narrow with numerous columns further limiting what are already tight spaces. If you can bag the middle of 3 spaces or can drive in next to a post at a slight angle, you might be comfortable getting in & out of the car. I did hear news that work was to be done to widen the spaces, but considering the car park was refurbished in 2017 & the main issue are the support columns, I'm not sure how successful this might be or when the work would be scheduled.

VERY good car Park! 2hrs free every day, Spaces are slim but are far better than lurker's street. Even if they are slim, what is the problem? you can drive up because by level 4 there are plentyy spaces with no cars around so it doesn't Matter. Lifts lightbulbs were out, but they have big windows so it's okay I guess. Over all, 4.7 stars, so lets round it up to 5

Our favourite Bedford car park, not least because there always seems to be space available and we can easily get our VW campervan in and around. Only complaint is that one of the ticket machines has been down for a long time. In times past local driving schools used to bring learner drivers in here, including my sister, to learn manouevring, hill starts and to get used to using a multi-storey carpark!
