Reviews of Victoria Park
L. H.
Very clean, nice wide paths well laid out. Peaceful despite being next to duel carriage way. Suitable for bikes and boards. BMX track and outdoor gym path. Plenty of parking but hard to find.

Victoria Park is an excellent green space area that offers a variety of things to do for all ages. The main (outer) path is wide and well constructed with a natural grain effect to disguise the concrete finish. It forms a circular loop around the perimeter of the park to offer activities such as walking, cycling and running. The vast surrounding vegetation easily disguises any urban views and noise to give the impression of a quiet country walk - albeit still being near the centre of the busy city. The park links with nearby Lagan water courses and therefore has good water features such as a duck pond. While we were there, we spotted various wildlife including ducks and herons. To gain access to the playing fields and inner wide open spaces, its necessary to cross a little footbridge. Once at the centre 'island' you can play sports or explore further, more rugged walking trails. The park also has a children's playground and a bmx track. It is accessible from Airport Road over an impressively constructed footbridge or an underpass on the Park Avenue side of Sydenham. Great place to bring your family, friends or pet. Especially on a nice sunny day.

Nice park within 15 minutes‘ drive from centre of Belfast, with a decent playpark for kids and a pond for waterfowl. Lovely place for a stroll during weekend.

Lovely park though awkward to get to. Wee tunnel (fits one car) under the road that goes out to IKEA and airport. When your there there's space for about 5 football pitches but no goalposts up. Plus there's those body weight outdoor gym things. Nicely spaced out in pairs throughout the 5km route. BMX track too, very basic but keeps kids happy for couple of runs

Nice Belfast park with a lake for wildfowl. The park has football pitches, an outside gym and wooded areas on an island inside the lake. There's a children's play area and basketball court. Cars can access the park via an A2 underpass from Kyle Street. It's a popular place for families, walking and you'll catch a glimpse of the famous Samson and Goliath cranes from the football pitches.

Victoria Park is a gem hidden in plain sight. We are lucky to have such a Park located next to the city airport. If you visit you will want to return. There is a children's playground and also a toilet. Just make sure you have a 20 penc piece on you. You can gain access from Airport Road.

Lovely park, first time there. Full of families, runners, dog walkers, office workers. The park is full of lovely path ways with two options of trails around the park. The inner island has fittness machines i used all and all very easy to use. Nice place to relax il be coming back

Amazing Park for family or walking the dog. It's also open 24 hours a day unlike most Parks in Belfast.

I was passing by while still towing a caravan. The entrance to this very large park is under the main duel carriageway and railway line through a what I can only describe as a Pedestrian Subway, only Cars also use it at the same time. Once through it then the road and carpark is of normal size. There's a single unisex auto cleaning Public toilet that costs £0.20 to use.
The park it's self has very wide ( about 10 feet wide) concrete mixed paths/cycle ways that take you around the outside or inside of the lakes. Because I had to park about a mile away from the entrance, My 4 legged family member was to tired to walk much of this park so I had to leave without seeing most of it, but it's much to big and same, same to walk. It's all flat and wide. There's a sign to says to Keep Dogs on a Lead, but there also some smaller paths where no one will notice if your dogs off, but it's just to flat and straight.
It would best be done on a bicycle.

Lovely clean park. Nice walks, fitness equipment along some of the routes. Great kids play area and basketball court. Lots of lovely birds, geese (i think) and ducks. Usually plenty of people around, ive always felt safe. Tables you can BBQ at too when the weather is nice.
