I've seen this park change over the past 30 years for the better. It's peaceful. It's great to go for a walk, picnic or just lie down and relax. It used to have a very large slide in the old days, but nowadays, there is a small play area with swings, slides and climbing ropes. There is also a small basketball court. Worth a visit.

There are hidden gums when you look for them

3 at a push....Good for a wide green space and at times can be peaceful.
However it's often over run with idiots on dirt bikes that have nothing better to do at all times of the day.
Lots of rubbish and since vandals kept damaging the play equipment many years ago it was never replaced.

I used to live near here and enjoyed walking along for my flat to Newbridge church at least once a week. I used to take my granddaughter there on Sundays. We took photos and wrote stories about our walks. We watched the changing seasons, blew dandelions, fed the dogs and made friends with a few dogs that were taken for walks. We even saw some horses there. The rubbish thrown there varied from toys to furniture and though it was an eyesore it made interesting conversations for a three year old. As a writer I find this area a great inspiration for writing

I found a lot of rocks for my project and it had a beautiful river but it had a load of litter everywhere because there were no bins around
