Reviews of Moseley Park and Pool
J. U.
Had a truly amazing Sunday at Moseley Music and Art Festival with my 2 closest lovely girlie friends. The organisation for this event was superb, refillable water drinking stations as no 'single use plastic' which I'm all for. Lots of local eatery stations, plenty of choice although I just love doing picnics so we brought our own food with us. It was perfectly safe to leave our blankets and bags etc on the ground unattended whilst just keeping our debit cards and phones with us whilst we looked around a few times. Had a go at making our own flower 🌼headbands, Morris Dancing and a singing workshop and we really enjoyed all these activities. There was plenty going on to do all around the site and some great poets at Speaker's Corner. Really good sound from the stage and Passenger especially were amazing, Mike Rosenberg really knows how to engage the audience. The weather 😎absolute bliss and fantastic to be in a thin summer dress enjoying the sunshine 🌞in September. My only regret is that we didn't make a weekend of it. Well done Moseley Festival and how lovely that people left no rubbish that I could see of. Next year ......(Photos included don't show people's faces).
G. S.
Stunning oasis that feels like an escape from city life. Well looked after with fab community events like the light trail, not to mention yoga classes and its infamous Moseley Jazz fest!
M.
The entrance is on the right side of Dixons (little mews). Its a nice and quiet park but unfortunately you need a key to enter the park (I had to wait for someone to open the gate on my way in and on my way out) Also, avoid sitting close to the pool as I saw a big rat and a mouse running near the pool. People confirmed there are lot of rats there.
M. F.
Love the park although it is very muddy in parts, a beautiful young Swan was on the pond which was a lovely surprise.
P. S.
Just a flying visit to a local key holder park. I was kindly let in and saw a well kept tidy park. Great pond and various habitats. Well done the locals for looking after it and thanks for letting me out.
s. s.
Just behind Moseley high street, need a fob to get in. Nice park to go with kids and dog... Not too big but nice to go around the lake. There's another exit/entrance from edgbaston road.
W.
This is a little hidden oasis, now made famous by the hosting of two festivals but a beautiful place for the locals to come all the year round. There is now a yoga studio in situ also.
D. K.
Lovely private park. Apparently has two festivals a year. Recommended if you can get access.
S. H.
Lovely place to walk around. A lot of rats though!
C. W.
It is so peaceful and relaxing. Such a beautiful escape. Helped me cope with lockdown
A. B.
Lovely park and well worth getting a key if you are a Moseley resident. Good facilities that are well kept including toilets, tennis courts and a multi-purpose studio.
Lots of space in the park itself and it seemed well kept while still seemingly quite natural.
A nice mix of benches and and open spaces and lots of nice wildlife to sit and enjoy watching.
I know (in normal times) the park hosts some great events as well. Then easy access back to the main road if you want any other amenities.
S. P.
Saw LOTR in an open air event, lovely park just off the main road across from co op on Alcester road. Highly recommended with tennis courts and a nice ornamental lake.
B. C.
Odd place to review . It's not your normal park, rather it's a private space and generally you need a key to access it . But it does have regular concerts (moseley jazz, moseley folk etc) and other events throughout the year. It's a charming park with a lake and a pretty cool (teehee) historical Ice House which is worth a look . It's a great place for concerts and if you do know someone with a key, it will be a lovely place for walking around or having picnics
D. P.
I was at the Moseley folk festival. It was a really good atmosphere and good facilities. I just went for the Saturday to see Frank Turner.
N. C.
Peaceful. Rugged yet we'll maintained. Lovely wildlife
M. S.
Great, haven't been there for a few months, health/ lockdown, have known the park for 20yrs+. Looking really good, plenty of birds and plants, to see, friendly chilled atmosphere, has been given a new lease of life in recent times, the cutting back of the some plants and trees is so good for the future of the park.
S. F.
Just a magical place of serenity and beauty. You can escape and enjoy nature at her finest!
T. (.
Beautiful private park and a host to two festival's
C. G.
A great peaceful enclave in the centre of Moseley. You need to register and obtain a key to get in apart from on open days. A good spot to walk the dog too.
K. D.
Beautiful park. Great location for the mostly jazz, funk and soul festival.
P. O.
First visit and look forward to many more. Beautiful park right in the middle of Birmingham
S. H.
This is a lovely private park, normally open only to those who pay an annual fee for a key, I was lucky enough to visit this park for a mini festival.
There are two well kept toilets by the entrance on the main road and it is fairly easy to find your way around.
Well worth a visit it is only open to the public on certain days.
*. E. *.
Such a beautiful park.
Always full of nice, friendly decent calm people (odd pratt but that's rare lol)
Highly reccomend. The views are somthing else, especially on a sunny day or evening.
Only thing is you need a key to access the private park and you have to pay for it. It last's for the year though.
So worth it though.
T. q. a. K. i. t. c.
Very relaxing
But you have pay for a key to get in
(You keep the key)
Z. I.
Fantastic Park and pool for a relaxing day out... I found it very pleasant and peaceful. I will be a regular from now on.
S. A.
l a lovely tranquil haven in the busyness of life, also free on Wednesday
V. S.
Great when you have the sun out and it's open.
n. g.
What a brilliant idea for a park entrance locals have to apply for a key fob to enter the park making it really secure place to walk around
A. G.
Largish private parkland in the heart of Moseley. Nice nature trees and shrubbery and a fishing lake (a bit neglected) to boot. Newish yoga studio situated near entrance. Very hip and tranquil. Yearly payment to gain access at a reasonable price should you live close by and feel you would benefit
P. M.
Hidden gem-free entry every Wednesday morning 10am-4pm.
Alcester Rd Moseley Birmingham
C. M.
Moseley jazz funk and soul festival was brill despite the weather. It was great to hear and see live acts again 😀
S. C.
Love the private park, which you need an electronic fob to enter. It doesn't have a play area fr kids but is nice and contained to sit and have a bbq/picnic with friends. It isn't too big and has a toilet by the entrance so it's convenient. My boys love the 'pool' which is actually a little lake as it has loads of ducks to see and some friendly carp that pop to the surface to say hello!
D. C.
A place of calm and beauty in busy Moseley. To enter you need a membership key ( check the board by the gate for where to get one). There is a fishing lake, tennis club, and some woods to walk through. It is generally not busy, so a good place for some quiet. Great to bring children as it is enclosed and there's space for them to run about. There's a number of events and music festivals over the summer, so check online if that's of interest.
J. J.
Very pretty area, not a very big space though also having a wheelchair user with me there was a lot of steps to negotiate but it's a good 'wild food foraging' site
X. X.
Went there for Moseley Mostly Jazz Funk Soul Festival. Great atmosphere, great park with little nooks to walk through & into. I think its private and so outside of festivals you'll need a pass key /permission etc for access. Also went there many years ago to do a photo shoot for a resident. It was very beautiful, quite and dreamy. Nice chill out space with no one else around.
C.
It was the Moseley Jazz Funk & Soul Festival. We went to see one of the headliners, Burt Bacharach. He was amazing at 91 years old. To play solidly for 2 hours at his age was fantastic!
The park itself is very big, with a small lake. Usually you need a key to gain entry, however, it's a very peaceful place.
E. R.
A beautiful tranquil spot, hiding behind the glorious bustle of Moseley high st. Moseley Folk Festival, Moseley Jazz n Funk....why wouldn't you?
D. S.
Gorgeous park, we attended the folk festival at the end of August and loved it.
s. S.
Great spot if you have a dog to walk, as the (nearly entirely secure) fenced in nature of the place means you can let your pup run free with confidence, albeit you still need to maintain enough control to keep them from annoying fishermen dotted around the small lake/huge pond. Muddy in winter though, Moseley's boggy soil making some of the minor paths through wooded areas impassable in less than wellies.
Surprising service levels on offer such as dog waste bags provided around the site, and some efforts to make areas of bog traversable with decking, could do with a little more gravel in some spots!
J. B.
Lovely little park to walk around on the days its open to the public. It gets lots of sun, so it's perfect for a picnic.
A. D.
This little gem of a park is gated and only available with key entry...its a well kept park with an interesting history and a lake.. I enjoyed my visit there today...
D. P.
Great time, family really enjoyed themselves. Richard Thompson was outstanding. Only negative was the face painting. £5 for 30 seconds effort and a penny's worth of glitter. Other than that everything was fine and will definitely be going again.
H. B.
Gates are open to public every Wednesday, even if you don't have the key. Wonderful park, kids love to see the fish and enjoy the wildlife.
M. R.
Nice tidy park. Need a fob to get in. Great for dog walking as it's nice and secure. No parking.
S. P. C.
We went here after the farmers market on Saturday. Its a nice quiet peaceful park with a lake and a house on the hill.
M. H.
Mosely Park and pool is an amazing park full of wildlife and the best part is even though its surround by buildings, your totally away from everything.
It is a private park though which means you can either get an annual subscription or pop into mosely travel and they'll give you a day pass. The day passes are limited, so best time would be to go in the morning.
P. P.
Lovely park in the heart of Moseley. Great venue for the festival
M. W.
First experience of the Moseley Folk festival and I loved, can't wait for next year
L. R.
Beautiful and lots of water birds.
M. S.
This wonderful little park is attached to my (late) grandparents' old house, and my family and I have shared many memories of playing in it. There's a surprising amount to do- a swimming pool, tennis courts, a lake (with lots of beautiful birds!) and logs to climb on. I am very sad that I shall never be going back.
L. M.
Lots of families enjoying the sunshine but all being respectful of social distancing. Park clean and tidy, as always an absolute pleasure to be a part of.
P. G.
Attended Moseley folk festival had a great day n night. Highly recommended
R. L.
Beautiful oasis in the heart of Moseley Village. Great place to let dogs off the lead as its fenced in all the way round. The Ice House is a must see for local history lovers, it has open days sometimes.
J. S.
I live near the park and it is a beautiful green space for tranquil walks in the heart of suburban Birmingham
B. K.
Quiet and tranquil a haven in the middle of the village
H. S.
A really wonderful park, shame there is only a swing for the playpark. A real treasure nonetheless.
A. Y.
Nice little private park. you have to be a member. obtain a key from Moseley travel
W. D.
Amazing secret little hideaway - beautiful pool, Private land so cannot access as a member of the public
K. R.
Came for the annual Moseley jazz festival. Fantastic local amenity if you pay for entry. Very cool and a perfect venue for the festivals and other events. If I lived in Moseley is definitely pay for a key
M. J.
We went to Moseley festival it was great
E. J.
Although the weather was atrocious we had a lovely time walking around the park and pond enjoyed seeing all the decorated Christmas trees
L. H.
You wouldn't believe such a beautiful park in bham existed but to enjoy it you need to buy a key fob. They also do fantastic festivals for all the families of all ages
M. M.
Always love coming back for the Folk & Arts Festival and this year was no exception
R. V.
Beautiful park in the middle of Moseley. It has lots of Christmas trees decorated by local groups from now until Christmas.
M. R.
Very clean park. Well worth the fee to use. Enclosed so my parents can let their puppy off lead worry free.
a. r.
Lovely clean place and friendly people. You have to be a member to enter the park.
D. T.
An excellent park to walk around. The fishing pool is a private pool to members only, stocked with a large amount of healthy fish. Sadly there's only one swing for children
M. C.
Clean and tidy, a great place to take a nice long walk around the pool...
Events are a pleasure to attend and are great for all ages but if age restrictions apply to events they're well notified and displayed on public notice boards and there webpage/site.
D. E.
Lovely and peaceful sorry for disturbing the film crew that were there. will be back to fish 10/10
m. e.
A lovely little place, a secret garden of sorts as you need a key to get in and out. This can be purchased at Mosley travel shop, the membership goes towards the upkeep of the grounds
T. N.
One of Moseley's hidden treasures and host to two festivals each year (as well as yoga, tennis courts, panoramic views, family and dog friendly).
C. S.
Great folk festival, can't wait for next year!
j. w.
An amazing place to chill and think if you can find it and get in 🤫
J. R.
It's a beautiful PRIVATE park in the heart of Moseley. Home of the Moseley Folk festival, and the Mostly Jazz festival. Both music and arts related.
S. H.
Private park with a friendly atmosphere. Tennis, yoga, fishing and basic kiddy play areas. Gentle walks but paths uneven.

D. B.
Nice park normally only accessible to members but can be accessed once a month when they have the farmers market in Moseley.
C. D.
Beautiful quiet place
L. C.
The weather wasn't great so it was very muddy underfoot and quite slippery in places as not all paths were clear.
J. J.
