Reviews of Pavilion Gardens

I can't keep emphasing how treasurable this special place is. Get yourself here and see the pigeons fed. Feel a relaxed place and take away a memory to last a life time that George created and is giving us a treasure of visual pleasure.

Lovely place in central Brighton, nice cafe at the rear. Some kind of building works taking place there at the moment that blight one end of the outside view. Alarms go off if you step in the exterior as we saw a couple of people trigger trying to sit in the steps.
Good looking gardens are a great place to rest in some greenery :)

A green-zone in the middle of the city which is a perfect place to have lunch or have a walk. Take care with the seagulls because they stole food and hurt.
R. W.
Looking for drinks and resting your feet Pavilion Gardens has a cafe with great value coffee, tea and cakes available, a great place to relax under the trees, plenty of space for social distancing, a lovely oasis in the heart of Brighton

This place is very nice to walk through the gardens. The monument is amazing. People lie down on the grass, others feed very friendly pigeons. A little bar in the center is also recommended. Lastly, public toilets, in case you need, are here.

Extremely nice & 👌 worth the visit to savour glory period of past time & still it's architecture wonder well apreciated ,preserved & unique design. Wondrous time of past mingles with today's modern building .Indeed worth the visit 4 the 1st time but very cold 🥶 time now, nevertheless we strolled around dwelled within easy reach & walk from your hotel. as usual must savour the Fish & chips 🍟 yeppppy lovely & clean sea Town 🌊 good 4 y Brighton 😀 I will come again 😀 💙 😊

Nice but toilets in need of major update, clean and decorate.
Pictures are to gross for me to add sorry.
The gardens need a bit of a tidy.
But the Pavilion Gardens Cafe is very good. Worth the visit just for the cafe.

Beautiful spot to relax

Been to the Pavilion Gardens lot's of times over the years. It's open air sitting area is busy a lot of the time. But it has quieter times too. The local pigeons and a few seagulls have to be watched. But food comes out with covered plates. Food a wee bit pricy but looks nice and they don't skimp on the portions. Beverages are reasonably priced.

A gorgeous, calm space. It's the Regency garden of the Royal Pavilion, and the museum. Beautiful trees and plants, and an outdoor cafe. About to begin a heritage lottery restoration (then I'll give it 5 stars!)

Lovely space, look out for seagulls trying to eat your food.. no.. really be careful they are very confident and aggressive! If you are lucky lots of small children will chase them
F. S.
Lovely place to have a morning walk in sunny days.

The Pavilion Gardens Cafe is great. It's usually open in season roughly Feb to Nov. Outside seating only and great that they are doing the Eat Out to Help Out offer in August. The Pavilion Gardens themselves are just a thoroughfare but you can sit on the grass. I must say that I was v impressed with the upgraded ladies' toilet area. The toilets are now spotless, the floor is cleaned regularly and there is a female attendant. I used to avoid at all costs due to the absolute previous carnage. Vast improvement.

A visit to Pavillion Gardens on a warm summers day is a must. Its a lovely place to stop and rest a while. The pavilion museum and the Pavilion itself are fascinating and found within the gardens
L. R.
How can you not love Pavilion Gardens... Great view of the Pavilion, normally accompanied by plinky plonky music from buskers or if you're lucky a quartet. Grab some beers, Ciders or your favourite tipple and sit on the grass, chill for a while and people watch.

Lovely small park at rear of the Royal Pavilion. Small tea Room and also public toilet if needed. Also access to Brighton museum which currently has a David Bowie exhibition.
B. C.
Lovely stunning view and so graceful
J. D.
Not that great, always covered in scaffolding on one side of building and falling apart on the other. Minimal space to sit.
Only redeeming quality is the museum

Great open space used by artists and locals and tourists alike. Visited in May and first day of festival. Great installation and interactive for it. Lots of volunteers helping too

The pavilion gardens are a little oasis in the centre of commercial shopping area in Brighton. There is a great view of the back of the Pavillion with its domes and turrets it one of the star attractions of Brighton, also the excellent museum is close by, " well worth a visit ".The cafe is open most of the year with a plentiful supply of tables and chairs and with public toilets on hand ,its an ideal spot to have a break and a coffee or tea. ....
See if you can spot the statue of the Great English comedian, MAX MILLER...Edo.

It's nice enough for a stroll with open grassy areas for sunbathing with a lovely outdoors cafe, but there are far too many
pigeons and seagulls for my liking, hence only 3 stars.
J. M.
Nice little garden with cafe. Views of the Royal Pavilion & handy Wc. Local birdlife can be a nuisance & also the town's down & outs.
L. B.
Love the gardens and the little cafe in the grounds great place for lunch or just a sit down with a coffee
M. T.
The cafe is good to sit snd have a coffee, but unfortunately, Pavilion Gardens tends to attract beggars and addicts who can make a nuisance of themselves pestering you for "spare change"
N. C.
Relaxing gardens but unfortunately the weather was not at its best. Enjoyed a nice cappuccino on the café terrace.
M. S.
Very nice relaxing vibe, with some good buskers and bands playing music, and lovely little cafe for food and coffee ☕
C.
Lovely space, very popular in the summer month's, much wildlife to be seen. Lovely little cafe with plenty of outdoor seating.
F. V.
This place is absolutely incredible. Just a few minutes walking from the boardwalk and the beach. Lots of flowers mix with a peaceful view and historical architecture.

These are some nice gardens, though I had to battle a sea chicken who tried to eat my girlfriend
G. M.
Lovely little park. Nice borders. Nice cafe in there too.
B. B.
Exciting playground for children to explore, with indoor and outdoor cafes, pay for the year and go every week is cheapest way..
W. T. P.
I would say it's sometimes the most, sometimes the second most beautiful public access garden in Brighton depending on time of year. The other is St Annes Well's garden
J. M. V. P.
Beautiful place ❤️🙏🇬🇧
F. A.
Green garden with views to the royal pavilion. Due to the central location there are usually visitors so it's not a very relaxed garden. There are public toilets near.
N. R.
Beautiful flowers in the famous Royal Estately gardens but the whole no booze thing and security enforcement for that rule (and all the other rules) is a bit Orwellian.
P. D.
Nice quiet spot in the town centre for picnic, drink etc
S. Q.
A real gem in the middle of Brighton.... lovely surroundings of the pavilion gardens... really helpful staff and the most amazing apple pie
j. w.
Gardens were OK today.
V. B.
A peaceful place to read a book, eat something at the cafe or just wait for someone.
Look out for dogs.
G. C.
Nice to sit and chill listening to the buskers but the bins were over flowing and smelly (been really hot though)
S. L.
