A. L.One of a couple of car parks in Thornbury town - clearly marked with long and short term spaces when this applies and the signs indicating this are clear
it is of a decent car park even though it is one of the smaller car parks but well worth the extra walk
M. R.Just off the main high street (which is now closed to traffic and going to be permanently pedestrianised). When it's raining the spots at the top of the car park get water logged due to insufficient drainage. So best to avoid these spaces during inclimate weather unless you fancy stepping out of your car into a puddle. Pre pandemic this car park could get busy, so things will be even worse now we've lost the spaces on the high street (the council did hold a consultation process; but it was a which of these three terrible scenarios, you didn't ask for, would you like).
However the car park is a good jumping off point to get to the Mundy playing fields with a gate leading into a nice field that will take you to the Mundy playing fields.

Should have updated sooner (as changes have been made for a while), but the council must have read my review as the spaces at the top of the car park have been modified to improve the drainage with cut outs to let the water drain onto the grass banks.
O. P.Free to use and a good numberof spaces. Bays for Long and Short Stay parking are clearly marked. Not knowing Thornbury, I might not have found it without Google Maps... But a good place from which to start a walk out in to countryside.
O. P.Separate zones for free 2hr parking or paid longer term. Plenty of spaces in short term. 5 minn walk to high Street. Watch out for access turning from the high Street, small turning sign and narrow road turning.
A. T.The car park has been reduced in size and whilst it is still okay for size it can be hard to find a space on Saturday. The car park is often filled with huge puddles following rain and this can make getting out and back in to you vehicle a headache.
S. B.Pleasant parking area very close to shopping areas. Long and short term parking areas. Not tarmacked so can be puddly in some parts after rain.
