Very convenient to organise your visit to Bristol. Just park your car and hop on the bus. Tickets are reasonable and can be used throughout the city for the whole day
A. J.
This is a large park and ride site on the A370 approach to Bristol from Weston-super-Mare.
It can accommodate 1500 cars although at the time I used it there were probably less than 100 cars in the carpark.
Parking is free but the bus costs £2.20 per person single. The bus is a double decker which follows a circular route serving Temple Meads railway station and both Cabot Circus and The Galleries.
Buses start at 06:00 and run about every 20 minutes, not sure when the last bus is but probably after 19:00 so you can't use this service to get into the centre at night if you are visiting the theatre.
D. L.
The actual park and ride is fine, nothing to write home about. There's plenty of spaces, including electric charging. There's usually not a long wait for a bus. The bus route is weird and a pointless use of all that investment, but there you go.
S.
Brilliant service.
Free parking, regular and cheap buses.
Only used it once but will definitely use it more from now on.
A. B.
Buses often leave earlier than advertised, basically some of the drivers are assh*les. The parking availability is good
N. F.
I decided to get the park and ride as haven't been into town for so long. The driver was so friendly and helpful. He saw I looked confused by the ticket machine and came straight over to help me. He was very smiley and welcoming. He has also just stopped to allow a running passenger on board which was really kind. Top marks :-)
A. B.
This park-and-ride is absolutely massive, if you are intending to visit Bristol, this is the best place to park. It is so large you need to take extra care where you leave your car, otherwise when you return you will be wandering around clicking your key fob trying to hear your car beep! There are very regular ultramodern new buses and the way into Bristol most of it is in modern bus lanes and bridges especially built for buses prices are very reasonable
C. J.
Loved it, so easy to use, loads of spaces, especially if you have a motorbility van which is a nightmare to park in tlcity centre and quick and easy bus route in to city centre x highly recommended x
K. M.
So easy to park, which in itself is free. Then the bus is £4.50 for an adult and £2.25 for a child, these tickets take you into Bristol City Centre and back again but you can also hop on and off the bus to get from one part of Bristol to another throughout the day. Bristol can get very congested with traffic jams and car parking is hard to find and expensive. This is the most stress free way that I have found to get into Bristol. You can purchase tickets using the First Bus App on your phone, or there is a ticket machine that takes card payments. The ticket machine is not intuitive to use but luckily, each time I have used the service an extremely helpful and friendly bus driver has assisted, in a proactive way, without me having to ask, or look for help. This is the best way to get into Bristoo if you are coming by car, especially if you want to make your journey a bit greener and not burn fuel stuck in traffic.

Great park and ride and very reasonably priced. Doesn't take long to get to the centre of Bristol. Only problem we had was missing the last bus as it was quite early on a Friday evening. Was expecting it to be a little later than it was. So make sure you check timings.
J. D.
Had to wait a long time for a bus. But this was during lockdown, I'm a key worker. Plenty of parking, no surprise really.. did witness youths verbally abusing an older guy for trying to socially distance.... totally ignorant. I would have supported them being removed from the bus.
S. V.
First time used since all the changes.
We don’t live in the city. Came up for the theatre.
Really helpful drivers. Showed us how use ticket machine and suggested group save ticket. No wait for bus. Really frequent service.
Immaculate new buses they even have phone charging points! Super impressed.
A. D.
Close to Bristol, from here you can reach seemingly anywhere in the city. Regular busses mean short waits. Our ride to Bristol Zoo for 2 adults and a child took about 18 minutes and it cost less than £8 (return!) ... for which we got a full days parking and a bus that stopped directly outside the zoo. (Using the park and ride also gave us a 30% discount on our zoo tickets!!!) Unbeatable value.
C. D.
Surprisingly good as far as public transport goes. Very short duration to get to town and the fare isn’t bad value as the parking is included. The buses have usb sockets too which is good and I never struggle to get a seat.
M. B.
Shame to see height barriers to the car park. No thought for tourists who may wish to visit the city with their motorhomes.
C. 9.
Convenient and good to put your care in for the day! However proving increasing... Actually cheaper to park in cabot or the galleries carpark if your only shopping for 3hours
Whole day adventure, park and ride
But short visit, just use a car park
C. H.
love this ! now it has its own private route for buses only so much faster. When M5 is blocked use this. if coming from taunton use this one , not portway
Staff so friendly now you have to pay at the machines at the stops.you can get for 8 people a ticket that you can get on any bus in Bristol get on and of as many times as you like. The buses have it's one private bridge for the start of the route and then joins normal traffic. USB charging and free WiFi
P. H.
Much better and cheaper alternative to parking in Bristol. Only a ten minute journey into the heart of Bristol. One tip - write down the section you are parked in. The car park is vast and it may save you a long walk looking for your car!
R. G.
When I stay over with my girlfriend in Weston the Park and Ride is ideal for getting me to work. It is a quick and easy bus ride into Anchor Road where I get on and off. Then, when picking up my car, driving to Weston is an absolute doddle. This could not be in an easy location for me. Given that I live in Stockwood, it is an easy journey to go from the car park along the new South Bristol Link Road towards my home. I'm grateful that the Park and Ride exists.
B. H.
Park & Ride sites offer an easy, cheap and convenient way to park your car and ride a bus into Bristol. The Portway Park & Ride offers fully wheelchair accessible services to Bristol city centre, and the bus service 505 starts its service here to Clifton, Bristol Zoo and Southmead Hospital.
Simply show the bus driver your ticket, making sure both sections are on display. As time does not need to be spent issuing or punching tickets, this should speed you on your way to work, and help us to run to time.
A. J.
Located just off the A370 to the south of Bristol.
Regular buses into the city, contactless payment available and cheaper multi trip tickets available from the driver.
Car park gets busy early each day and some areas of the car park gets flooded in places.
Strangely not open on Sundays or in the evening for nearby football or rugby.
Strange planning laws apparently!
R. B.
Very handy especially if you have a freedom pass
M. J.
So simple parking free and tap and go on bus. Really enjoyed experience.
B. T.
Bus fare is £4.50 p/p and it takes a very long way around to get town. I felt it was expensive and slow. Absolutely no good for nipping in and out.
Driver was very helpful and bus very clean.
M. H.
Great value for money. Traveled in from North Somerset and rather than paying to park in Bristol decided to use the park and ride. Was so cheap compared to parking for half a day in town. Will decibel be using this again.
c. s.
So easy to get into Bristol. There are toilets at the P and R but no drinks vending machine sadly ☕ Another good thing is the free Metro newspaper on the bus.
M. C.
It's a great service living in Long Ashton. Can be unreliable particularly the return journey from town but I understand why at the moment with the traffic problem Bristol has. All of your drivers are great apart from one who is miserable, rude and awkward - EVERY journey!! It's so unnecessary. If he hates his job and people that much he should look for a career change!
M. F.
Massive car park with electric vehicle parking and charging, quick bus service to town and great service that runs to Southmead Hospital and zoo
K. B.
You park....then ride. Toilets, Lots of parking and alongside the service into the city centre, the 505 bus goes to Southmead Hospital without going through the city centre - £4.50 Return (40 min journey) as at August 2017.
c. N.
Lots of space and safe parking, there is toilets at the bus stop. M2 buses every 10 mins which is very convenient. FREE PARKING!!
H. K.
park and ride for driver coming mainly from North Somerset, Has toilet facility, buses go to bristol city center, southmead hospital (very useful link ) and link University of west of England (UWE) soon to have bristol city metro bus link (+++)
O. A.
Metrobus' M2 service serves this P&R. Buses to the city centre are roughly every 10 to 15 minutes for most of the day. First Bus fares are good too.
A. R.
Out of town parking is OK. Building work under way so a lot of spaces out of action. No height barriers so OK for a campervan (if you can find a space!)
D. W.
Great park and ride 👍
J. B.
Convenient way to get to Bristol centre. Also the 505 bus stops a few metres from the Metrobus (M2) stop, goes to Clifton, the Zoo and Southmead hospital.
A. C.
Much quicker way in to Bristol than the Portway P&R and a more frequent service which is much more reliable with newer buses. However it is a long way from LA to the M5 and the A370 does back up from time to time
E. L.
Great idea if you work in Bristol or even just coming occasionally. Save the hassle to look for car park in city center. Buses going every 10 minutes.
A. A.
We parked and we rode. I used the loo too. Which was nice
E. S. N. H.
This P&R has very good transport links into central Bristol. It also has a nice, heated waiting room.
M. V.
Easy if you plan a visit to Bristol. Free parking, stays open until late and regular bus service
L. H.
Buses are always on time and easy to park
C. C. H.
It did the job but driver couldnt understand what we were saying! And over charged us. Difficulty getting money back so told them to donate the money to SSAFA. Bet they dont!
S. F.
All works well apart from if it’s raining as car park is large with long walk and no weekend working
K. G.
First time I have used this park and ride and was very impressed, the metro bus was cheap and thanks to the driver suggestions of buying a group ticket saved us more money
A. B.
Can take 40mins to get to city centre in bad morning traffic. New m2 service costs £1 more than old 903 service. Allow plenty of time.
A. M.
Great service, too expensive if more than one person in car ( can use OAP free pass after 9 am). Parking a bit wet under foot!
M. G.
Easy parking, frequent busses and close to the city. Does exactly what is should do. Parking is free, just pay for the bus ticket to and from the city.
A. E.
Convenient way to get into the centre at a reasonable price. Ticket system needs researching before you visit and seemed a little complex but that may be just me!!
S. N.
Great location with frequent bus to the city center. Perfect for a one day visit to Bristol.
D. T.
Useful. A place to park one's car and ride a bus into a large town or city where parking might be problematic.
Reasonable price.
R. G.
Easy access to Bristol
A. J.
Troubled by soggy ground in some parking spaces. Warm waiting area with WCs. Closed overnight. Only 10 mins to the centre
F. W.
What used to be a quick way into Bristol is now a long and tedious journey. What was wrong with the old route?
M. M.
Should be allow to be used for football home games to save people parking everywhere else ie. Side of busy A370
O. T.
Great. Saves you from trying to park in the centre of Bristol and it’s a quick and easy service.
m. t.
Easy to get to with plenty of parking with a very good bus services the 903 and 505.
Well recommended.
S. W.

P. R.
Great parking and buses are interactive using screens to tell you next stop
B. W.
Wish people would actually park in a space not in the middle of 2 spaces. Journey into Anchor Road quick & easy.
