R. S.Use this all the time as I work at UHW and it's a nightmare to park after 7am. Buses are fairly regular and it's super convenient for staff and visitors alike. Would definitely recommend as it takes the stress out of trying to find a space or the worry of getting a ticket. Best of all it's free for staff

Just park up in a bay for FREE and hop on the FREE bus which runs every 10 minutes.
From there, and in just 6 minutes, you're at the Hospital. None of the stress of parking.
Same spot sees the return bus (opposite the concorse entrance) take you back and runs every 20 minutes from the hour.
A massive help. Can't recommend enough. Thanks Cardiff Council for this forward thinking solution to the overparking problem at Heath Hospital.

N.Fantastic service, I parked here to go to the University Hospital of Wales, the parking was free and the bus is also free for staff and visitors, a short bus journey of less than 10 minutes and busses operate every 20 minutes Monday - Friday. There is no weekend service to the Hospital however!

Today when leaving the bus, the driver told us where to pick up the return bus from (guess he picked up from our accents when buying the ticket that we weren't local) and on the way back, the bus was about to leave as we were crossing the road and he spotted us and waited.
Little things, but all adds to the customer experience. Was in two minds whether to use the park and ride today, but seeing the queues for the car parks I am glad we did.

K. I.I used the park and ride to visit the Heath hospital. Parking at the hospital is always a worry and driving round the hospital is also tricky. This free massive car park only 7 minutes bus ride away from the centre of the hospital is so much easier. Buses are every 20 minutes and access is from the A48m Pentwyn junction. Free wifi on the bus as well as a great view from the too deck and all for free. What's not to like.

P. O.Great that this place is paid for by the council! regularly park here so I can ride to either the hospital or the city center. Always plenty of space. There's plenty of cameras around too so I wouldn't be worried if you left the there for a couple days. Would recommended. The extra time spent on the bus is definitely worth the cost !

I. J.Never used this facility to go to the Heath Hosp and didn't realise it is FREE to and from hosp. Will definitely use this service next time I need to go to the Heath. Bus stops opposite hospital and there is a cross near. It is so convenient and stress less. Very helpful and friendly bus driver.
G. R.Was very good and efficient. We went to the Speedway at the Principality Stadium. We paid £8 for the car. We had a bit of queue but they had lots of buses so was on the bus very quickly. On the way back again a bit of queue but we got on the bus quite quickly. Drivers were friendly.
H. B.Huge carpark, very easy to find. Free parking, you just pay for the bus fare into the city centre. Its £5 but that's per vehicle, so if you take an average family of 3-4 people, its great value!

A. F.This is a spacious car park outside of the city meaning you can park without hitting too much of the inbound traffic.
Buses run several times an hour and much of the route into Cardiff is bus lane meaning you get to wave cheerfully at the long queues of commuters sitting miserably in their cars.
And all for a few quid, bargain.
C. N. R.This Park & Ride takes you into the centre of the town in in around 12-15 minutes. Our experience of the Town Centre is that it often takes 15 minutes to just find a parking space and a day's parking will be double that of the Park & Ride. Use this to save time, money and better for the environment!
M. B.Not the best very busy, with long Que's. May have been better to have had pay machines whilst you wait and not pay entering the bus. It was a busy weekend with the rugby and Christmas shoppers. Double Decker's may have been an answer, as quite a few locals weren't impressed.
A. O.Convenience of secure parking, avoiding driving in city traffic and finding an expensive city centre parking place. £5 to park and get a return bus journey to the city centre. The fare is per car, so if you have 7, as we did, it's extremely good value and sense. Why wouldn't you park and ride.
L. D.Since they have introduced the free park and ride service to UHW. It has made my commute less sressful. The drivers are always friendly and greetbyou in the morning and have often waited for me when I have run to try and not miss the bus.
The service is much better for me than trying to park on the hospital grounds as finding a space can be impossible sometimes.

a.Handy to get into Cardiff, but bring exact change for the bus. It's also very difficult to know exactly what you're meant to pay. We handed over £5 and didn't get any change, but I think it's less than that usually.
R. C.Since the 5th June this is free to the heath hospital. I would recommend using it for normally mobile patients and staff. 6 minute double decker buss ride . Every 15 mins 6.15 to 1915. You will be on the road and out I'd Cardiff faster than parking on site.
J. B.Once the bus came it was pretty efficient, just getting stuck in traffic a bit near the centre. When we used it, there was quite a long wait followed by 2 buses in quick succession. No contactless payment yet using your own card - just a special one. Contactless would helo a lot. No change given if you pay cash. It's one of those drop-in-box systems like on American night buses in dodgy areas. Massive car park at the P and R place. Exit from M4 quite poorly signed and easy to miss your exit if you don't know it.
S. K.Great service into Cardiff but quite expensive at £10. Also our trip was packed and loads of us had to stand. It was quite stuffy but we will use it again as it saves having to drive into Cardiff. If you use it before 1.15 its only £5!
g.Excellent Park and Ride services. There is also a bus service, H59, to the Heath Hospital every 20 minutes, and from Tuesday 5th June it is FREE (currently £2 return or £1 for staff). It only takes 6 minutes to get to the hospital from here.
P.Have this a try for the game on Saturday. Easy to get to and only £4.40 for safe parking and a short bus ride to and back from the city centre. I will definitely be using again

S. W.What fantastic customer service! We turned up on Sunday morning ready to catch the Park and Ride, with no cash, assuming there would be a cash machine at the facility - there wasn't. The security guy was so sweet, he took pity on us and lent us the £5 required to catch a bus which we paid back on our return. The Park and Ride was an excellent local service for us because of its proximity to the nearby Premier Inn where we were staying. When my husband managed to lose our camera on the return visit, he went back to visit the same security guy to ask if it had been handed in (it hadn't). The security guy (I wish we had asked his name) even phoned the central lost property depot on our behalf to see if there was any sign of it and took our number in the event of it turning up. If there is an employee of the year award run by Park and Ride Cardiff this guy should qualify!!!
