R. B.The play park here has a great variety of equipment to suit different aged children.
The play park is not far from the model railway within Heath Park, and even on days when there is no scheduled events there, you may still catch a glimpse of the trains out on the track if you're lucky.
The park itself is next to the hospital, meaning we could have family time together exploring the trees and greenery before one of us popped into the hospital for an appointment.

C. W.Lovely open space for family fun. Lots of sports pitches. Even the Heath model railway society. No public toilets currently open. Cardiff Council not concerned for the welfare of its citizens in this respect
M. C.Only a quick visit. Got a bit busy, as expected during these times, but manageable. A great climbing frame for the older 6+ kids and a smaller one for the toddlers. A lovely pond and wooded area to walk around and explore. Also a big football pitch/grass and golfing area. Plenty of space to run around and let off some steam.
A. L.Didn't want to drive so got there by bus. Not difficult to go but still a track to the park. Kids playground, tennis courts and green if you'd like a picnic. A kiosk there selling drinks and lollies. But please DO NOT use the toilet there. Can walk further up for miniature train ride. But it was far too busy we went the weekend before school holiday week. Paid £1.80@ to go in the "train station" area and was surprised to find out we still need to pay £1.80@ every mini train ride! Thought the entrance fee would mean train rides! Love the train model there and guess that money goes into the fund to keep the area going, but appreciate a free ride if it requires entrance fee. Thanks for the volunteers/staff who run the place anyway.

C. N. R.Another one of Cardiff's great parks! Lovely all year round. Always seems full of life at the park with kids players, people walking dogs. They even have new tennis courts that are in great condition that you can use as a PAYG.

A. R.Slimming World on a Wednesday with class consultant Lorraine in the Heath's Citizen Centre building. Choice of 4 classes at different times of the day. 9.30am 11am 5pm and 6.30pm. Good location!
S. J.Saturday afternoon 12-3pm toilets not open. Annoying that this park has quite alot of litter too only one bin available which was overflowing. Cardiff Council need to sort it out!

C.What a fantastic couple of hours we had with our grandchildren.The facilities are excellent never mind the the train displays.The volunteers are doing a fantastic job.The trains are a credit to all of you.There is something for all age groups.My perception was the adults were having more fun than the children!!! What a credit to have this in the middle of The Park.

S. D.Love walking the dog around here, it's such a big area to explore. Plenty of parking (not free). Kids play area, tennis courts, football pitches etc. Area is always clean and feels safe to walk around.
k.So many different areas to explore. Lots of ponds, different types of trees, overgrown sections and we'll tended areas. Some of the woodlands see very old Indeed. Beautiful.
M. M.Great park with 2 hours free parking more suitable for younger children
P. C.Big beautiful park with a miniature railway to ride on. Little boys might be a bit more enchanted than little girls. There is a small play area but the park is mainly just big wide open space. Apart from the car park it's open to the road that runs mostly the length of the park.

c. b.Nice area and play park, lovely for dogs since you can toss a ball quite far easily as there is a massive field in the middle. There are also tennis courts which you can play in and pay online. The car park is also free right now so that's a plus! Overall great experience and would come again.
G. G.Lovely park, not ornate and no flower beds etc, a more natural kind of park that's great for dog walks and picnics, can get busy on weekends when hosting lots of team sports, but I always enjoy walking the dogs here
P. P.The trees provided shade and the flowers are beautiful. If you know you're way around you can always find more route's and ways to go around.
G. J.Heath park is a lovely area with wide open spaces which is ideal at this time of social distancing. There is some work being carried out at the moment (drainage?) which rather spoils the approach from Rhydhelig Avenue, but the woodland paths are so peaceful. Looking forward to seeing the cafe reopening. The park is a huge asset to Heath residents and is well maintained.
c. p.Hobbycraft. Excellent stock of painting g equipment, wools and crafts. Stocked up to take to Spain for 3 months in the sun. Very helpful staff indeed, especially the pretty 23 year old young lady on the shop floor

There's a miniature railway society that opens about once a month on Sunday and some bank holiday Mondays. Dates in notice board next to door and on line. Park needs public toilets. Great facility for the city.
D. A.Love Heath park! It's just a lovely, lovely park. Unfortunately the children's play area and golf is closed due to the pandemic...hopefully they will open in the not too distant future. Well worth a visit for a walk, social distancing is possible.👍

d. m.Great park - lots of tracks for exploring the 'woods' and finding fairy doors, plenty of logs for climbing on (at own risk), good paths for small cyclists to practice on, and enough green space for socially distant picnics.
B. A.Amazing place to go walking alone, with kids, with your dog - really light and friendly atmosphere. Also a nice place for a picnic or game of golf. Miniature railway station is a great way to engage children in ways other than using technology. Very dog friendly park too!

P. W.Always a nice park to wander around for an hour for a bit of exercise. I was quite concerned however at the large gathering of people in the car park waiting to get on the miniature railway. Not a lot of social distancing going on there!
c. w.A variety of walks you can either just walk around the playing fields or take a stroll through the wood or play golf! Great outdoor play area for kids and large open space for football. Outdoor tennis courts available and 5 a side pitches. At the centre is the miniature railway but this only open occasionally.
P. C.Relatively small green grass area with trees recreational/school football and rugby pitches. Children's play park, putting (golf) area and car park. Nice for a brief wash, take you around half an hour at average human pace to walk around the boundary. Lots of dog walkers. Good open air space for it's size
R. W.A lovely walk, although wouldn't advise going on your own or in the dark as to me it did feel a bit unnerving. Lovely walk for your dog if you don't mind them getting muddy! Some areas are slightly undefined and there's no proper path to follow but nice to explore in the sunshine.

E. C.Pleasant park, nice playground for the kids to play. There is a place to play soccer, tennis court, nice trails for a walk and lots of beautiful green. Perfect scenery for a pic nic. There are lots of parking spots, first couple hours are free. Just the train was not working, but we have plans to come back.

D. H.Beautiful park area. Ideal for picnics and also family play. There is a well constructed children's play area with wooden climbing areas and obstacles.
Also in the park is a local volunteer society who run a small gauge railway. This is brilliantly run by them. There are many small railway engines offering rides. I believe that this opens at weekends and bank holidays.
M. L.Playground has gone downhill. Gotten rid of a lot of the fun equipment and the swings have gotten a lot shorter. Golf course isn't great but fields are nice and open. Good for stroll.

A. S.Small play are with outdoor exercise equipment incorporated. There are plenty of other attractions nearby chechout the small gauge railway well worth booking a ride on. There's also plenty of fields right next to it. Makes it ideal for a cheap sunny family day out. Just dropped a star as parking can be a bit of a problem. Don't let it put you off though worth checking out.
D.Quiet, loads of space, plenty of dog walkers. Football pitches, childrens play area, car park, pitch & putt 8 hole golf course, tennis courts, woods.

S. G.Really lovely park to go with the kids or just for a walk. There is a mix of open fields and woodland. Tennis courts have been recently refurbished and there is a pitch and putt (this could do with a bit of love though). The playground for the kids is great and there is also the miniature railway which is also nice for a few hours.
