C. R.My stay at the Park Plaza Cardiff Hotel was a relaxing solo trip. The staff were lovely and my Hotel room was comfortable.
The bed was so comfortable and my room was quite.
I noted stains in the carpet and there was confetti around the lamp area of the bed side, which meant it was from a previous stay.
The breakfast was palatable, however the buffet presentation was dated, with serving utensils on slates.
There is a 20 meter pool and a lovely steam room and hot tub.
I rated my stay 3 out of 5 because, one of the lifts broke down, and two days of my stay, there was only one lift operating

O. B.Brilliant reception staff and area. Very clean and well kept throughout hotel. Lighting always spot on. Breakfast always nice. Great cappuccinos. Top marks on swimming pool. Great cleaners only bad point is untrained bar staff, slow and unattentive, with poorly stocked bar. But still 5 star we can't wait to come back.

Location is convenient, for it both being not right on the city centre, so it's loud, however it's a casual 5 minute walk, to St Davids.
K. R.We went to the spa for an afternoon tea and for two treatments each, with use of other steam room/pool facilities. We were blown away by the awesome service. My facial and back and shoulders massage was by an incredibly talented professional, Rachel, she really took her time to ensure I was comfortable and helped my knots and found them straight away without me having to point them out! Facial was the most relaxing facial I've ever experienced. We visited for a Hen Weekend and what a wonderful surprise. Such top notch service at Laguna Spa at the Park Plaza. Thanks to the team for making it an AWESOME afternoon.
M. T.Really nice stay in Central Cardiff. Right by the shops and bars. Nice walk through the city centre to get your bearings. Room was clean, equipped, rubbish view but no worries. Restaurant was good for breakfast plenty of choice. Good staff. Can't really fault it. Well done PP!

D. B.The park plaza itself is a lovely place to have an afternoon tea (from £20-26). Even at this time of the year the tables weren't full. The decor is lovely too if not a little dark. Be aware that service charge is put on the bill at 10%. However I think you can refuse to pay this on the bill and instead pay the tip DIRECTLY to the waiter. Otherwise the CORPORATE BUSINESS might take the tip and NOT the person serving. Give it directly to the waiter

J.I don’t stay in many hotels but this one exceeded my expectations even though I didn’t know what to expect, the staff upon arrival were very friendly and inviting.. the room was nice and as stated online with all the needed condiments.. the night staff management and room service attendees Donavan and Jackson where not only quick to answer the phone but prompt on delivering what was ordered after explaining the whole drinks menu and what was or wasn’t available.. if it wasn’t for them I’d of walked miles in unfamiliar territory looking for something that was only a phone call away.. over all the experience was great and I will definitely come again.
M. L.Deluxe king-size room was not deluxe, only thing deluxe was the price - Premier Inn better. Damaged bath, ring marks on bathroom vanity, bedroom mirror very dirty, sheets very soft but plastic covered duvet and pillows meant every movement could be heard. We did not sleep well.
Breakfast had a great selection and most items were nice but the hash browns were over cooked, went up to see if we'd just had a bad batch but they were all the same, the potato filling had disintegrated. Fried eggs not cooked and we asked for tea when we were seated and it arrived as we were leaving.
We won't be returning.
i. p.Very nice hotel, breakfast was very good with friendly staff, room was much nicer than I expected, TV was disappointing I like a little tv on when I go to sleep but it was just basic freeview and no way of using a streaming service or connecting a device to it.
H. E.We really enjoyed our stay at park plaza, the room was spacious and clean, we especially loved the pool facilities and how close the hotel was to the shopping centres. The only downfall was that we spent over half an hour trying to check in as there were no clean rooms for us- in the end a lovely trainee checked us in, however we did find that some of the other receptionists were being quite rude to the trainee when he was unsure and asking questions, which we found quite unprofessional. Without the bad start I would definitely leaving a 5* review- great experience overall.
L. L.Not a 4-star hotel, it was at best a 3-star hotel. The service at the reception was not friendly enough for a 4-star hotel and the staff looked disinterested in their jobs.
You'd expect more than just the simple shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap for a 4-star hotel.
Most of the hotel facilities were outdated. They no longer looked as nice and well maintained as shown in the pictures, especially the swimming pool and the changing room. The water also had a weirdly salty taste.
On the upside, the floor and bed were not creaky and the bed was relatively comfortable, apart from the extremely soft pillows.
Overall, we paid a good price for the hotel so it wasn't too bad. There's nothing too good or terrible about this hotel.
M. A.The best hotel restaurant in the city, always delivers whether it's afternoon tea, Sunday lunch or a Saturday night out. Great cooking and excellent service.
While it is annoyingly and unnecessarily gendered, the Gentleman's afternoon tea is the best on offer - good range of cakes and savouries. Worth a visit just for that. Sunday lunch is generous and great value for three courses.
The bar is good for cocktails too.

Whilst it's marketed as a 4 star it has the look, feel and service of a 3 star but a 4 star price tag.
Beds were comfortable, rooms practical but decor dated and worn.
Staff were accommodating.
The pool was basic. Shallow at 1.2m throughout, extremely salty and crowded. Steam room was out of service...
Jacuzzi was 8 person max but extremely crowded at all times.
Changing rooms were in poor condition e.g. rusty or broken lockers.
In summary, nothing majorly wrong but nothing majorly right. The price point brings the rating down. Average to the core.

The room was lovely but very, very warm! No way to lower the thermostat, so quite stifling.

The Wedding Reception was amazing! Absolutely delicious from canapés to the main meal. Just perfect and the food was absolutely top notch!
One complaint on the designated smoking area, off The Laguna Bar was the horrendous smell? Not sure what it was but it wasn't pleasant so my husband and I chose to smoke out the front, not a huge problem but you do feel a bit exposed as the streets are quite busy with people enjoying a night out.
The toilets near the function room are lovely and spacious but very, very dimly lit! Us ladies like to titivate and check out our make up but this was like candle light, awful sorry.
The lobby area is just incredible! WOW! SO impressive, cosy & welcoming. It smells divine!
We felt very pampered and well looked after.
We stayed Fri-Sun and tbh we weren't bothered with Cardiff City Centre noises from revellers, but on the Saturday evening a room next to us sounded like Party Central from 01:30 to around 04:00, good job we had ear plugs, other than that a really lovely stay. Definitely coming again when we next visit family. Thank you so much Park Plaza!
M. W.Family celebration. Meal was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Only down side, hence the 4 stars, was the lighting in the room. It was a little too dark for me. I dont like overhead lighting to be bright but this was too dark for me. I would have scored 5 starts but for this.

The staff couldn’t do enough for us, we had 4 small children with us and they simply went above and beyond. J. H.Beautiful room and a great location right in the downtown area of Cardiff. The room itself was spacious, spotless and big and it had lots of great amenities. The only downside really was that check in and and check out took quite a lot time but otherwise everything else was excellent.

There was no comparison in the room or the breakfast Hilton was far superior. Hardly any breakfast choices at the park plaza. Very disappointing considering the price!

D. C.Stayed for 4 days, good location just around the corner from Cardiff city centre, full breakfast available. Was able to use swimming pool and jacuzzi but had to book time slots one hour visit. Myself and my husband had a massage in the spa which was good however his treatment felt rushed. I'm a hand hygiene auditor and even though there was plenty of hand gel available I did not see staff use them between serving guests. Swimming pool was lovely however there were at times many people than there should be staff need to monitor numbers better. Room was comfortable air con was perfect after a days shopping. Room telephone was faulty and shower head was leaking when using it. Was quite pricey. Could have been more generous with milk,tea bags , shampoo etc.
L. y.Lovely hotel and welcome. However the room itself needed some finer details fixing. Such as the bed side lamps were falling apart and the dressing table had seen better days oh and we had an upgraded room apparently. That said we only stayed 1 night and I have to say the room was extremely clean.
M. A.We had a Superior King room which was generous in size. We liked the shower and separate bath. However for the price we felt the quality of the room was not up to standard. There was a crack in the shower tray, fixtures were loose and the king size bed was 2 singles pushed together with a mattress topper covering them. The food was nice but again, considering the cost we expected quicker and more professional service.

T. B.Good central location. Helpful staff (from our limited interactions). Beware no parking but they do say that when booking and local parking tends to be expensive. Two night clibs opposite the front of the hotel - luckily they weren't open the nights we stayed.

S. M.Beautiful hotel, great facilities , amazing food and exceptional staff. Our room was very spacious, with a luxurious double king bed and good sized bathroom. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and every day of our stay.
Breakfast was well organized around the Covid restrictions and even when busy, we felt comfortable. The food at breakfast was so good we decided to have dinner in the hotel the first night, it was amazing and we were left wondering how they were charging so little for what was a first class dinning experience. If you are staying on a Sunday do not miss the roast!
The staff deserve a 5 star review of their own, you could see that they were often very busy but they managed to make you feel special all the same and would attend to you swiftly with a smile.
Haven't even mentioned the gym, pool and spa yet, all of which were exceptional, great facilities, everything clean and covid safe.
Already looking at when I can book our next break.

First off the staff here are fab - they are polite, helpful and friendly. It was really impressive, they were everything you want when you stay at a hotel.
I have a nut allergy and unlike a lot of afternoon teas, the nut free alternative had just as many elements and they were super tasty! It had sandwiches, scones, welshcakes and mini desserts, with tea and prosecco.
Our room was really nice - it was huge, we had plenty of room and it had all the little extras.
Breakfast, due to covid, was delivered to the room. We selected our options and timing, I had a sausage bap and tea, which came with a fruit salad, yoghurt and orange juice.
It's worth mentioning all the cutlery and bag were both recyclable and biodegradable.
All in all, even though we live nearby we all agreed we would stay again.
K.It is a beautiful hotel with super comfy bed, pillows and duvet. The pool was warm an great for a nice swim. I had dinner in the Restaurant which was gorgeous and the staff were polite and helpful. The wine lovely too. I cannot fault the hotel an would definately stay there again.

The food, both at breakfast and dinner was amazing, we were left wondering how they could produce such quality at the low prices they charged. We decided to leave Cardiff a few hours late just to stay for sunday lunch at the hotel and it didnt disappoint.
The staff deserve an extra 5 stars just for the service, blown away by how accommodating and swift they were, even at busy times they would never leave you waiting and would always have a smile on their face. Great break and I am already looking forward to my next visit.

K. T.A 50/50 check in experience. The guy that we first talked to was kind of rude, gave me the impression that he did not want to be there. However, as we had to wait for our room to be ready, the girl we talked to later was really nice and made up for the previous experience. My boyfriend was surprise by the gym equipment, way better than many gyms he has been before. The spa and the swimming pool were nice. Still for some reason we kept during our stay with that sort of feeling and first impression we got from the first receptionist.

The room was spacious. The bed could fit 4. It was super clean and my room was serviced every day. As for the staff - super friendly, helpful and always smiling.
Great location with a parking just opposite. Cardiff bay 5 minutes away by car. Cardiff castle a 5 minute walk.
P. B.What a beautiful hotel with superb rooms (I stayed in the Superior King Room). Absolutely loved the fit out and layout of the room. Due to Covid and lack of demand, I got a fantastic price too. In addition to this, they also granted me a late checkout at 1:30 too. Brilliant location, literally 2 mins walk from the City Centre and directly opposite a NCP car park too!
Only downside was the breakfast they offer is limited due to covid restrictions. I opted for the continental breakfast which was £10 for a croissant, a mini pastry, very small fruit bowl, small yoghurt, a mini baby bell cheese, small bottle of tropicana and a tea. Some may think that's excessive, some may think it's fine, it's just a watch out but you have the option if you want it or not so I will not reflect this in their score.
All in all, a great hotel with great rooms and facilities, and good service too. Will definitely return.
C. U.Decent hotel. Nice and quick check in with a nice lobby area. Very spacious. Rooms were clean and modern and had all the necessary amenities, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Powerful shower with nice hot water. The bar was busy but again spacious and breakfast in the morning also had a good selection. They did and Welsh and English breakfast with plenty of continental options too. The other great thing about this hotel is it’s location. It’s nice and central to Cardiff and walking distances I the city center and all of its amenities.

Great spa, lounge areas, choice of bar or restaurant menus. Buffett breakfast is amazing. Very near to shopping centre, literally round the corner. Theatre couple of doors down. There are other restaurants nearby if you fancy something else. Clean rooms and Friendly, helpful staff. Hotel kept bags for us before check in, when we arrived earlier in day and again after check out so we didn't have to rush home.

The therapist used the most gorgeous Provonia products, and I especially loved that she gave a foot massage whilst the mask was doing its magic. The gym and fitness facilities are good, the pool and jacuzzi is of a good size. All in one a top 4 star hotel, perhaps even the best in Cardiff. The Junior suite is equipped with walk in shower and bath tub, seating area, desk and a huge bed. A. D.My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there, the staff were welcoming and the atmosphere was warm and cosy, the room was also immaculate. We ate and drank in the lovely bar/restaurant and it was worth every penny, food is delicious and when we missed breakfast and went down to the bar at 11 the bar staff were kind enough to sort us some sandwiches from the amazing chefs! The only issue we had was the room was unbearably hot however due to the air con it wasn't too much of a problem.

We had the overnight spa and champagne afternoon tea experience and at £110 it was excellent value for money. The breakfast was also delicious and I'd have no hesitation in recommending this place.

The room was clean and spacious and the shower good and powerful. We went down for a swim in the pool, which is a fair size and clean and the changing rooms are well maintained.

n. e.Went to have dinner with family staying there and the food was very good as usual. I was very impressed with the attentiveness of the waiting staff too as we had highlighted some allergens concerns at the time of booking and the waiter made sure to check who were the affected customers at the table and promptly took the right steps to accommodate these. For example he made sure the fries were cooked in the gluten free fryer without being asked.

Many hotels try to scrimp on bits here and there, but they made sure even with basic stuff like tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room are well supplied. Breakfast was excellent and staff very good. Very simply a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, which represented good value for money. I would strongly recommend.

Staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. There is a swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym for guests. There is also a spa with a discount for hotel guests. The lobby is just stunning and breakfast was full of choices of hot cooked foods, cereals, fruits, cheeses, pastries etc. The room service was fab and the dinner menu was delicious. We would definitely stay here again.
Location is very central, about 4 minutes walk from the castle and park and about 10 minutes from Cardiff Central train station.

Really impressed with this hotel - which is affiliated to the Radisson Brand - so you also benefit from their loyalty points!

A. B.One of my favourite hotels of all time. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. The restaurant is excellent with a wide variety of exciting dishes that are cooked to perfection and don't break the bank. The bar is lively with a smart clientele and a wide choice of well mixed cocktails and a fine selection of wine and beer.
We found the pool area very relaxing and my wife loved the spa. Rooms are clean, quier and well proportioned. All in all a very well run hotel and we'll be back.

Be careful with liqueur coffee ordered Irish great but no whiskey. Was told it was only a single so thats why I can't taste it. Have drunk whiskey for 60yrs.

However we did use the spa and although generally the facilities were good and value for money, we chose the option to have a breakfast spa package and the breakfast part of that was awful, it was a very small croissant, some yoghurt and berries, a horrible and not fresh fruit salad, some prepackaged cheese and ham and a Baby Bel?! Also there was only instant coffee and they had not bothered to restock on juice. I would definitely return to the hotel and even the spa but don't bother with the spa breakfast just eat at the hotel or elsewhere and then go to the spa!!

The room lacks basic amenities so do carry your shaving kit and dental kit. There is a parking right opposite to hotel and offers 20% discount for hotel guests but get that coupon upfront from hotel before making payment for parking. Overall a great experience because of hotel staff and location.
N. P.Had a one night stay as part of a weekend break to South Wales. The hotel does have a very convenient location for the shops and Cardiff Castle.
The hotel does not have its own parking, but you get a small discount At the NCP car park cross the road (car park was £20.80 for an overnight stay after discount).
Our executive room was spacious, comfortable, with a huge bed but rather dull. The shower was extremely powerful, and must waste a lot of water.
Breakfast was OK, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Only 1 moan, downstairs ladies toilets are awful, i was in bar for few hours last week & nobody checked or cleaned the toilet floors, toilet paper everywhere. I complained to staff but nothing done about it, not good. God help you if you are a little overweight because cubicle doors open inwards which makes it very difficult to get in & out, serious defect.
C. A.I went here on a Sunday for drinks and lunch. The lunch is a three course Sunday roast on a set menu for £20. The options are plentiful on both the wine list and menu with the lack of a la carte not even noticed. I ate calamari to start followed by Pork and finally lemon tart. All delicious! Very impressed.

Restaurant was nice but not fantastic. Rooms weren't as sound proofed as I would have hoped. Bath robes and a hair dryer that you don't need to constantly down a button would have been the final finishing touches to a great weekend.
I. P.Thoroughly recommend Laguna Bar and Kitchen for dinner. Our third visit last weekend on our third trip to Cardiff did not disappoint. Could do with brighter lighting in the restaurant, but the food, cocktails and wine were excellent. I asked our waiter about the optional 10% service charge (which was shown on the menu). He explained that it was indeed shared amongst staff and not just taken by the hotel. He also pointed out that it was optional, which I appreciated and was happy to pay.

c. B.We had a gin afternoon tea for the start of my daughter's hen night. I pre-booked with them. It was totally worth the money. The waitress was polite, friendly and explained how it was different from a normal afternoon tea. The gin cocktail comes in a teapot and was served in teacups. It was Hendricks so good gin. The food was lovely. We had a 3 layer cake stand full of food. The bottom layer had sandwiches 4 for each guest, one each of salmon and cream cheese, tuna and cucumber, ham and egg mayo. The second layer was warm scones with butter, jam and cream. The top layer had 4 finger cakes and a gin and lime jelly, again there were 4 of the cakes per guest and one jelly each. They asked beforehand if anyone had any special dietary requirements. We sat in a booth so quite alone in our little group in a crowded restaurant. I paid the bill and found out as I had pre-booked there was a percentage off the total bill. I cannot recommend it enough. I loved it, it was a great start to my daughter's hen night. We all enjoyed it and I would certainly go back again. It was different, charming, surprisingly filling and worth every penny of it.

O. L.We stayed here for a weekend. We were drawn by the pools and SPA. The in door pool is generous and the steam room is large and steamy. The Jacuzzi was small and needs to take a rest too often. The hotel has loads of potential but seems to lack polish. No robes in the room, or slippers. Especially missing if you want to use the SPA and other minor details that are slightly annoying but not worth mentioning. Regardless we did like the fact that we where able to check in earlier than the formal time.

C. C.Was given a warm welcome upon arrival the corporate event I attended here. The lounge area is very open with small gas fires asking the wall to add a bit of ambiance. Several sky lights made sure it wasn't too dark either. The conference suite was well stocked with hot drinks (with a number of herbal and decaf options), bottled water and jelly beans for a sugary treat between breaks. And the general decor and lighting was fine for the presented material and the soundproof glass made you forget you were right next to a main road. Lunch was provided and a great selection of hot snacks, club sandwiches, salads and sweet treats. All in all a great venue for corporate events. Though as I walked to the venue i couldn't comment on any available parking. But several buses do stop outside.
A. M.Fabulous hotel with excellent facilities. My room overlooked the courtyard, which was very quiet. Nice big bathroom and very comfy bed...pity I didn't get to spend longer in it!
Location wise, it's minutes walk to the shops, restaurants and transport.
Breakfasts are a little pricey (£14) but Costa is just around the corner if you'd rather a cheaper option.

D.Stayed here last night with my wife. Wasn't planned. Out for work drinks and decided to stay here.
This is a nice looking hotel and the room was very clean. I have stayed at a few hotels in Cardiff and have to say this one is by far the cleanest. Breakfast was very good and plenty of it to choose from.
On the negative side. The 2 women on reception when checking out did not seem to want to be there.
When spending this kind of money on a room I would of liked to of been asked how my stay was. Instead they was more focused on getting me to pay £2.50 that I owed as I had something from the mini bar. The 1 lady also told me I had only paid for one breakfast. She tried to charge me for my wife's. After a few minutes of me explaining it was all paid on checking in. The other lady looked and said yes I can see you paid.. There was no apology or even a thank you.
I am not sure if I would return here myself as I feel that being polite and respectful is a must and did not get it while leaving here.
As said above, The rooms are brilliant and clean and this is why I have not given it 1 star. The actions/ attitudes of the two ladies is a shame as I would of definitely stayed again and given 5 *
J. N. (.Expected more than we got for what we paid. Thought we were treating ourselves for our wedding anniversary but didn't really feel that way in the end. Room was a decent size, staff were friendly but there is no car park and our room felt pretty basic. Our air-conditioning didn't work, the TV didn't either and there were pubic hairs in the bath which clearly hadn't been cleaned. We notified reception and they came and cleaned the bath and fixed the TV (which was still quite glitchy afterwards) but didn't really get any apology from reception when we checked out. Wasn't the best stay and will likely look elsewhere before booking again which is a pity as it had a lot of potential. I know you can find nicer for cheaper if you are prepared to do your research.

Cardiff city centre is really close on foot, but we didn't notice any noise (although it was a Sunday night) and the stops facilities were great. U had an amazing massage and a very relaxing day.
Food was good in the evening but the breakfast was mostly served as a buffet which looked a bit tired by the time we got to it.

L. P.Nice hotel, very good food at good prices - slightly short staffed in the restaurant as waits were a little tedious. Room service was great and the spa is excellent for treatments but the pool is a little small and not suitable for anything other short laps. Great location though for nice pubs, restaurants and shops. I will agree with some others as well that staff need to smile a bit more and not want to get going quickly.

Great standards all round, can't fault the room, service, or restaurant/bar at all. Decent cooked breakfast buffet options. Recommend the firelit lobby lounge area for any guests who might be working remotely using the hotel's free WiFi. Swimming pool should really be off limits to kids who like screaming and splashing after a suitable time like 7pm. Also the water wasn't properly chlorinated.

S. P.Great gym and facilities. There is a swimming pool, sauna and other spa related treatments available. The staff have always been very helpful allowing me to purchase a padlock directly from them for the lockers (needed). When I haven't got one they have allowed me to borrow one (they took my admiral pass until I gave it back). The gym is very well fitted with yoga mats, lots of running machines and cross trainers, many different weight machines and free weights are also available. They also have a heavy bag fitted with gloves available but I would recommend bringing your own.
U. G.This is an excellent hotel in a prime position with good facilities and restaurant and bar. It is a shame and very short sighted of the directors that as soon as there is an event in Cardiff the price of the rooms are hiked astronomically. If the rooms are full the revenue will flow. Drop prices £100 below you competetor and see the benefits both to the chain and faithful customers. If it wasn't for this I would happily give 5*.

Highly recommended.

Some discount for staying in the hotel but not enough to take the sting out of it. If a better arrangement could be made for parking then I'd have no trouble recommending the Park Plaza as somewhere to stay.

A. A.The hotel is situated directly in the beautiful city of Cardiff. You can easily walk to the shopping streets and to Bute Park, where you can relax or do any kind of sports activity.
The rooms in the hotel are nice, however there was missing something to put my suitcase on. As in most hotels in the UK the rooms are quite noisy.
The breakfast is very good and they serve very good cocktails at the bar in the evening.

A fundraining group and I were let down by another room provider in Cardiff (who we had already paid) the morning of the Cardiff half marathon and we were left with nowhere to go for the group to reconvene following the race. To fundraise and celebrate our cause together.
After getting in contact with the Jury's and telling them the story behind our fundraising and being let down the morning of the event; the Jury's had rang back to advise that they'd arranged a room for us within 10 minutes and even set some tables.
To top it off they didn't charge the group for the room - which is beyond words.
I will definitely be back to make use of the facilities and get the whole hotel experience, I'm sure it will not disappoint.
M. R.Located fairly central 10 mins walk from train station. Food and service is excellent when not busy. Restaurant does get busy on weekends. Feels dark, hard and claustrophobic even so, decor is artistic.

C.It was a party booking on Sunday the 12th of march for 12 this was for my 60th birthday I had booked the gents afternoon tea, I had asked my sister to take care of this for me, My sister went to the plaza 3 time to pay the bill so my guest would not have to pay, I hate it when it comes to paying the bill, as it was my birthday it was on me,when it came to the bill we were told that we owe £140 balance when the bill had been paid in full, my sister in front of my guest did the one thing I hate was to go over the bill this went on until the manger came and told me the payment had not been put on and the lady was not looking on the right page,how is this they had my name? all my guest was getting out money to pay for the meal and i paid over £400 pounds this took the smile off my face, some of my guest said it happen to them. so please take care when your booking take a good look at your bill before paying.

T. M.The day before arrival I asked about upgrading to an executive room which is bigger and includes bathrobes, slippers, bottles of water and half bottle of wine. Great location right in the heart of Cardiff. The room faced the ncp, some pubs and a nightclub and the noise was awful.
M. L.Very disappointed after paying over twenty pounds per person for a weekend slot I did expect to have a filling tea. This was not the case the sandwiches were four fingers which amounted to one round a scone a Welsh cake a few fancy one bite cakes and a tiny jelly. The TVs are dated and it's impossible to plug an HDMI cable to watch its own content. They are also poorly positioned with respect to the bed.
The food in the Laguna bar was ok but it took 45min between arrival and having some food while the restaurant wasn't full at all.
The pool use salt which is nice and they provide padlocks for the lockers.

C. M.I've stayed at Park Plaza and Radisson Blu... so I'll compare the two at times. I stayed at Park Plaza for 3 weeks and at Radisson Blu for 2 weeks.
Pros:
- Location: perfect spot near City Center, City Hall, museums, and the castle
- Friendly staff at front desk. They spoke clear English compared to the front desk at Radisson Blu about a year ago.
- Customer service was fantastic when I needed to get a taxi to the airport on the no-car day in Cardiff.
- 24 hour room service
Cons:
- Park Plaza room wasn't as good as Radisson Blu. The shower didn't drain quickly, the corners of the room looked to be molding, the room smelled slightly stale and the toilet paper holder was broken. I stayed in a King sized bedroom at each.
- Surprisingly, breakfast was better at Radisson Blu. Radisson Blu has a chai latte and espresso maker for the guests to use, an orange press for fresh juice, fresh salmon every morning, a toaster where you can set the heat for yourself and they offered newspapers to every guest. The breakfast at Park Plaza was the Welsh breakfast every morning with additional options like cereal, fruit and toast.
In summary... if you're staying for a short period of time and you’re looking for a place with good customer service and a fantastic location, pick Park Plaza.
If you're staying for a longer period of time and you’re looking for a nicer room and breakfast (more of a home feeling), pick Radisson Blu.

C.Went as we had a voucher bought for us, Sunday lunch was lovely, chicken was very moist and mushroom soup was delicious, staff very helpful and friendly, chocolate dessert was gorgeous, cheesecake not so lovely we think it had been curdled by the hot blueberry sauce, all in all a lovely experience would reccomend
G. B. W.Great place to stay. I attended an event at KuKu Night club next door, which i believe is part of the hotel too... pitty that both that and the hotel Bar stop tap at 12am. Disappointed but didn't spoil the night by any means. It is opposite a Lloyds bar and Tiger Tiger and only a street away from all of Cardiffs best pubs anyway. Bus stop right on the doorstep. Train stain is a little walk, but not a bear grills episode. Rooms were very comfy. Staff polite and helpful And breakfast was very nice the next morning too. NCP car park opposite is the easiest place to park, that would have cost £20 ish but hotel knocked £3 off, wow i know. All added to the night but if you know its coming its less of a bitter pill to swallow with a stinking hangover. Would definitely stay again. May catch the train down next time though.
