G. S. M.It is a wonderful and very beautiful garden, with very large green spaces suitable for family gatherings and games for children, and there is a river and a bridge, and walking among the trees is as if the forests have a wonderful atmosphere and therefore it is suitable for family outings.
m. p.Open space fringed by beautiful mature trees and next to the Taff. It's a pity that selfish people, particularly football players, leave rubbish here. It would be good if more of the area were not mown so frequently to allow more wildlife.

X.I went there to watch my son play rugby 7's for his school, lot's of open space, and parking, also there's a small leisure centre , unfortunately the weather turned nasty, and the playing fields got very muddy, so we had to come home, but on a fine and sunny day it would be a wonderful place for the family, especially the kid's to run free while the parents relax.
T. P.Multifunctional and multifaceted. Perfect for catching rays on a lazy saturday or a game of amateur cricket on a sunday. Superb green scenery in the heart of cardiff adjacent to the river Taff. Amazing walks towards the city centre or through blackwier or the riding stables towards Castel Coch.

M.Lovely green space by the River Taff, perfect for walking, cycling (both on shared paths), sports, dog walking, picnics (please place rubbish in a bin or take it home with you to leave no trace), bird and wildlife spotting. A. H.Amazing wide open space, great walk along river Taff, with walking and cycling path which leads to centre of town via millennium bridge
B. L.I love walking our dog Max in Pontcanna as he gets to run a lot on the field & also loves rolling over in the grass as well. I get to meet lots of people who say that they love Max because he is so friendly. It is such a huge park I'm able to do different walks quite frequently. We are so lucky to have such a good park on our doorstep.
D.Busy gathering place in the sun with people playing team games and generally enjoying this open area on the west side of the River Taff.
It links into Landaff fields to the west through the boundary wall and Bute Park across the Blackweir Bridge.
J.Excellent park for dog walkers as I lost count of how many football & rugby pitches are combined with wide open expanses of fields to walk through.
Dog walkers dream in the mornings & afternoons during weekdays.
Be advised on weekends there's less space as football & rugby games taking place.
Excellent free parking facilities positioned around the parks.
Well worth a visit.
L. P.Only stayed 1 night, but check in was easy and efficient. Friendly. My shower block had no hot water(temporary problem)but the other block near reception did. Toilets clean but maybe getting a little dated. 6 digit code to enter toilet block which was frustrating!

J. W.People in Cardiff and around have this wonderful park on their door step. It has a lovely cafe and good parking. We were there for Cardiff Parkrun this Sunday. It was very muddy but then everywhere is, but the children are able to run their 2kms on the paved paths that go through the park. It is wonderful to watch children from 4-14 doing this on a Sunday with their parents and the invaluable volunteers. Saturday is the adult parkrun.

I. A.Great place for anything, bit of fresh air, picnic in the park, walking the dog. So close to the city but all around is green
R. f. W. A.Only 4 stars because picnicers had not cleared away their mess. Plastic bowls cardboard, broken bottle, plastic cutlery had been left on the ground. Majority of people take rubbish home. Plenty of bins so no excuse. Lots to do for children and adults. Community groups also use fields. Huge open spaces plenty of room for everyone to roam freely.

L.A very good and pleasant place to walk the dog in the park, well defined paths used by cyclists walkers and joggers. The fields are used for football matches and rugby matches also enough space for a picnic amongst the ancient trees that are in and around the park and have a run around with the pet or family. A very clean area offering a country feeling in the heart of the city
D. B.Its good to be outdoors but it's fair to say it's a crowded walk which in 2020 is a matter for consideration due to close proximity of panting runners and cyclists. Lovely views of wildlife and the river taff though

G. F.Pontcanna Fields as one of the Iconic Lord fields of Cardiff and has a reputation for such it is an absolutely beautiful place and especially with covid at the moment and use plenty of space for everybody to say nicely away from each other.
You can also go to Llandaff fields and plenty of other places from here it is a great connecting place for the Taff trail and a bunch of Cardiff beautiful parks

J. B.Well I know these fields are used frequently for sports. But I use these fields as either a short cut or to walk my dog. I don't trust other dogs but I feel comfortable walking my dog around here because I've never had a problem with other dogs or owners.
It's very beautiful down there which is great so that I don't get bored obviously.
R. A.Large open grass area what's not to like able to hire bicycles of all types, coffee shop not too far away, able to take your dog there, plenty of room for people of all ages able to take walks or runs plenty for everyone.
n. c.It's a shame that the police are fining people for parking cars in the car parkbat pontcana! Where I live (caerau) scramblers ruin exercise especially with your dog to be honest it's dangerous the police are doing nothing in the fields near me to arrest these law breakers! And yet if you drive 2 miles to pontcana fields with your dog for a gentle and safe walk they fine you ! This world has gone mad!
Trelai fields isn't safe anymore thanks to idiots on high powered scramblers....!
Take the handcuffs off the victims and put them on the criminals!!!
S.Would have 5 stars but you now have to pay for parking. Its a great place to play football, ride a bike or just have a quiet time away from the bustle of city life. Only a few minutes cycle ride from the City Centre or the Taff Trail

J. H.One of the best parks in South Wales & one I am very fond of, as my allotments is part of it.
Wide open well maintained green spaces. Great for picnicking or kicking a ball about. There's a fenced off children's area & a new childrens park is being built at the moment(1/6/17) Wild flower areas that are allowed to grow without being maintained, giving wildlife a chance of making a permanent home. There's a fantastic variety of fruit & fungi too, if you're prepared to forage for it. Lots of wildlife. Cricket, football & rugby pitches. With changing rooms & parking. There's a stable & horse riding school. The River Taff runs through it. Some of the finest mature trees run the full length of the avenue. There's even a cafe for all your refreshments & both hot & cold food is available. Many people walk their dogs there. It has excellent cycling paths & you can hire lots of different types of bikes & trikes, some specially adapted for disabled people. Joggers, runners & walkers all use it daily. Plus, there's a well hidden & peaceful caravan park with all amenities available. And all of this is only 1.5 miles from the city. The Eisteddfod was held there a few years ago & at the moment it is covered in various sized tents to accommodate some of the 170,000 football fans that will decend upon the city this weekend for the Champions League.
C. J.Large green fields, always busy with football, rugby and cricket games. Nice paths to walk along the river. Caravan site and Swalec stadium nearby as are the shops and cafes of Pontcanna. Walking distance (20 mins) to the city centre.

N. M.Me oh my were these some good fields. If you want to sit and relax in some fields but these are some of the best fields I've seen in a long old time. Proper grass and lovely bushes simply tiptop
S. B.Fab site right in the centre of Cardiff. If you are going to any event at the Principality stadium this place could save you a fortune in accommodation costs. It's right in the lark and you wouldn't know you were in the centre of a city. Facilities are good and the staff are lovely. I can very much recommend the site.
L. O. C.I was being skeptical of riding a bike through the park at 6:30 am, but it was actually safer than I thought. I saw individuals/couples walking their pets, group of children jogging with their coach.
E. N.Fantastic fields for dog walking or playing sports. You can also access Llandaff Fields, Bute Park and Blackweir from this park. There is no kids play area. It is paved from the car park to the main footpath which means it's accessible to all although there is a short but steep slope so strength is required.
S. G.Pontcanna Fields along with Llandaff Fields and the Castle Grounds are the green lungs of the centre of Cardiff. Almost the size of Central Park in New York, it serves a much, much smaller population, so plenty of room for everybody. Running, cycling, horse riding, taking a dunk in the fiver or just a walk and a coffee at one of the cafes that have popped up recently.
