Had to call for help with a card that wouldn’t read, rang the button on the machine, someone said they would be down ASAP and Barney arrived seconds later. He was hugely helpful, very polite and friendly and I actually felt really pleased there was a person on site with the nights getting dark. Always concerned about parking alone at night, it felt nice and secure there, would definitely use again.

I recently went to a show at the millennium centre and parked here, upon my return I could see a big queue so I ventured inside and I saw a few machines but they were all busy. I wondered towards the office to which I was greeted by the member of staff on duty (tall middle aged man with very short hair, sorry didn’t get his name) he explained that there were more machines on other levels and that you can also pay by card on the exits, I think in total it was about 9 ways to pay to get out, very impressed! Also thank to the member of staff I could see he was busy trying to get everyone out as we all left the same time but he still had a smile on his face and was very helpful

Always a friendly bunch of staff at Q Park. today was a little stressed to finish work and get to the barrier to leave the car park, only to realise that I didn’t have my purse with me. The staff member Jack was very helpful and showed me how to pay at the barrier using my Apple Pay on my phone! Sorted 😊

Just come back off holiday and I cannot recommend here for parking enough. A lovely gentleman called Jeff saved the day. We lost our bank card so we had no way of getting a ticket. He was very busy but took time to sort us out and made sure we were not stranded at the car park. The whole family was very worried but Jeff was calm and within 10 mins we had paid and we’re on our way. I wish everyone in life was as helpful especially on a Saturday night when the rugby was on!

She was most helpful and explained to me how to Solve my issue with my ticket. How nice it was to have someone to talk to who can explain things well. Would like to thank Karl, Rob and Matthew, they really helped us out. We usually stay at the Premier inn at Cardiff Queen street and park on a open car park which is near to the hotel. But, for some reason our window on the van was broken / shattered. To this day we are not sure why. We now Stay at the Premier inn Cardiff bay and park at the Q-Park next to it, the three boys have been so helpful for our needs on parking the van etc. Really recommend people to park their vehicles at the Q-Parka as - 1, it it is safer. 2, the staff are much more helpful. 3, the cost is so much less than parking in Cardiff city, thanks to you all and see you soon, diolch yn fawr iawn... Really appreciate your help.

A fantastic car park, within short walking distance of the Cardiff Bay Area. Although the ticket machines are a tad difficult to navigate, Jeff the attendant on duty is unbelievably helpful and unfailingly polite and cheerful.

Super convenient for BBC Hoddinott Hall and Premier Inn, which offers a linked discount, and the Cardiff Bay area in general. A slight machine-related ticket issue on exit was resolved courteously and very agreeably by the tenacity of Chantelle, who clearly takes her responsibilities to her customers very seriously. Karl and the team at Cardiff Bay Q-Park were so helpful yesterday when I forgot my work car parking pass. I thought I was going to have to pay even though I already do so via my organisation.
This was not an issue, after popping into the office on way back to get my car they assured me they could waive the fee and kindly assisted when i approached the barrier.

Got a bit confused when entering the car park and swiped my card instead of pressing the "big white button"! Parking was pre-paid so we went to see the lovely Jeff who sorted it all out for me with a smile and a friendly chat. He told me I wasn't the first person to not see the "big white button". The car park is ideally placed for the Millennium Centre and there is even a special rate for those attending a performance. I cannot praise, Jeff (parking host) who was on duty, highly enough. I would like to thank Jeff at the Car Park Office for all his help with an entry problem that we had yesterday, 12th Dec 2019, he was so helpful I needed to thank him with this review. I could see he was very busy at the time but still managed to find the time to help. It was over a pre-paid parking ticket that I purchased through the Millennium Theatre on booking to see Les Miserables, great show by the way. The Theatre did not really help even though they seemed to have more than enough staff and also seemed not surprised at the problem, they told me to sort it out with the Car Park Staff. We had a voucher for a musical last night at the Millenium Centre and it was not clear that the voucher could not be scanned on entry so had to access the car park by card. Booked and paid online to park at q park Cardiff as I was taking my mother to see Les Miserable at the Millennium Centre. Jeff was very busy but still made time to help me scan the barcode of my prebooking form. Jeff really saved the day! I would definitely recommend this car park as it is reasonably priced and with Jeff there your car is in safe hands.

I use this car park a lot as it is convenient to the Wales Millennium Centre. I usually pre-book online. Today there was a problem with the barcode not scanning properly. I was starting to feel quite worried as I was responsible for getting three tired children home. Jeff was incredibly helpful and managed to resolve the problem after a few minutes and we finally managed to exit the car park. Huge thank you to Jeff!

We booked over 24 hours in advance online so saved some money with a special deal. Plus we used a discount code to get an extra 10% off. This gave me a barcode to scan at the machine when I returned to the car. However the bar code scanned and the machine beeped but it would not recognise the barcode for some reason. I tried the next machine but was still having no joy getting it to work when suddenly I heated a voice from inside the machine. It was Jeff!!! Who told us he is the parking attendant on site and he would like to help us. He explained that other people had the same issues and if we went to the exit barrier he pile sort it all out for us. Jeff got the code scanned and we were quickly on our way. It’s was nice to know that there was an on-site attendant late in the evening who was very happy to help as a moments notice. Thanks Jeff. Really good car park. Stayed at the Premier Inn Cardiff Bay so this was so ideal to have very close by. It is very clean, secure and well lit at night. The Millennium Centre and the Red Dragon Centre are 2 mins walking distance away including restaurants, shops etc.

I used the car park today and parked for 5 hours. On returning and paying at the ticket machine I put my iPad and papers on top of the machine and left without them. Realising my mistake at home later I returned to the car park in a panic. I visited the Pierhead Q Park today and this is for the first time . I must say what a great car park !! I visited the office and spoke to the attendant named Karl, what an amazing and helpful gentleman.
I had a query and he was so helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much ! I am due to move to Cardiff Bay and recently purchased a annual season pass, based on the impeccable customer service from Karl, I saw another member of staff litter picking . This car park is immaculate and he was so helpful, A credit to Q Park .
I look forward to continuing to park at Pierhead for the next 12 months at least and liasing with Karl and other members of staff . If the others are as helpful as Karl was, I will be extremely happy customer .

Parked here on 1/2/2020. Nice well lit car park well located for Dragon Centre. We had the misfortune of breaking down at the exit barriers. The car park attendant was present and helped to us push the car to a save place on the exit road and put a bollard behind it. On arrival at Cardiff Bay ( Pierhead) Car Park I was confused about my pre paid parking purchased with tickets I bought for a show at The Millennium Centre ( along with many others! Def needs clarifying!!) so I put my bankcard in machine to enter, as that seemed only other option. Then, once we parked realised I hadn’t taken a ticket. Daughter in total panic as she thought we would be stuck in the car park after the Ru Paul show. I sought assistance from Jeff in the office there. He was a fantastic help, really friendly, we had a great chat, he cancelled my payment card and gave me a ticket to show at the desk in The Millennium Centre to validate.
Despite the confusion which is caused by pre payment to The Millennium Centre- SO many people trying to scan the ‘ticket’ sent with show tickets-Jeff deserves 5 stars for his service! Thanks Jeff!!

Good car park centrally located for Millenium centre and Cardiff Bay Area. One down side. Pre booked parking online and had instructions attached to the bar code as to what to do. Machine couldn't read the bar code so had to try to find a member of staff to help. Luckily found Jeff who was most helpful and soon had us on our way. Numerous other people were having the same problem.
However, the system should work and not rely on hard pressed staff to sort out issues when hundreds of people are trying to exit.. If the system doesn't work then I suggest it's not used until it does.

A tip for Q park, if you’ve prepaid your theatre parking ticket then they need to make it clear at the entrance barrier that you MUST take a paper ticket and present to the theatre and not just swipe your card on arrival as I did.

I often use the car park to attend the Millennium Centre. Cardiff Bay is what you want from a car park: well-situated and reasonable. What makes the difference though is Jeff's cheerful and helpful presence -- both in easing the traffic through the departure gates after a show and, last night, rescuing me when I'd mislaid my ticket.

We regularly use this car park when visiting the Millenium Centre in Cardiff Bay. The location is convenient ..... right in the heart of the Bay. The car parking area is always litter free, well lit and feels safe. The bays are well sized unlike many centre car parks. Payment methods are standard and I've never experienced machines out of order.
But the real bonus when using the Cardiff Bay car park is the staff. In the past we have had attendants loan us an umbrella when we arrived in a downpour and when parking up last Friday evening 29 March the attendant (Jeff) went above and beyond providing really helpful customer care. It was as a result of my error ...... and Jeff was extremely helpful in guiding me to a car parking space in a convenient place for me. He didn't have to do it, but he did ...... really nice, friendly guy also.
All successful businesses need people like the Jeffs of this world ...... look after them well.

Car park itself fine, if a little tight on the turns with an estate car. Website stated incorrect postcode, however, which caused some confusion. But the main issue is that the pay machines do not recognise pre-booked parking. Tried several times to scan barcode but to no avail. Eventually drove to exit where a very helpful attendant, Jeff, was able to let us through (the barcode works at the exit barrier). Many others having same problem. Please sort this out Q-Park!!!

Parking for The King and I at millennium centre last night. Never used this before, thought there would be another ‘right turn’ to find a space in very full car park and arrived at departure exit, too late to turn back! My partner popped to the office by the exit and a man on duty, kindly offered we could park at the reserved parking space right next to where we were- thank you 😊 . After the show we returned to car expecting a massive wait for car park to clear, as we now had to reverse out of this space right into the exit lanes at a very busy time. Then to my window popped a young lady- CHANTELLE- who asked if we wanted to exit... she then asked the cars about to exit to hold back a moment, helped us reverse safely, then let the other cars go again. Thank you Chantelle, as well as saving us a long wait, what you didn’t know is I suffer badly with back pain due to previous cancer surgery, and having sat for so long at the theatre, I was by then in dreadful pain, and when expecting to have a long wait, instead having a quick departure was a huge blessing. Thank you 😊. And we didn’t need to ask her, she noticed the situation and sorted it straight away. Well done Chantelle...

On Wednesday, 27th November, we had been to the Theatre, and on returning to our car, parked in your Q Park car park on Pierhead Street, Cardiff, found that our car refused to start up. The Parking Host that evening went by the name of Matthew.
Matthew could not have been kinder or more helpful even if he had tried. The RAC were called but were unable to help us. Matthew was due to finish his shift at midnight but refused to leave us until at 2.20 am when it was decided that a taxi be called for us. as there was no relay vehicle available, to drive us the 100 miles to home.

Yesterday the 17th July 2019 I parked in the carpark and headed off to an early meeting with Wales Government not realising I must had left my very expensive glasses and case either on my car roof, or had dropped them. I couldn't think what I had done, I contacted the carpark office today and was so pleased to learn that Ieuan had found them and taken them into the office hoping some body would ring in. I just had to comment about the excellent customer service i've had whilst using your car park on friday and today. I'm currently down working in ITV Wales in the Bay, and before starting they told me to park my car in Q-Park for the day, pay £12 for over 8 hours and i would be reimbursed. By paying by card with the ticket machine, the receipt did not show, time or amount i paid. Whilst exiting the carpark by the barriers i noticed the reception area, then parked my mini and, actually, from experience, not expecting much help, i just took a chance and asked the Parking Manager if he could give me a receipt to claim expenses. Jeff the Manager was brilliant. Helpful and friendly. If it wasn't for him i would be clueless what to do. Tomorrow, i will be working really late. Multi storey car parks, and especially the lift foyer can be quite unnerving when, as a woman you have to get to your car late at night. Because i've talked to Jeff and he assured me that security and cctv are there, i feel safe to park with you. Wendi

I have a season ticket and park here everyday, I always find Jeff the evening attendant very nice but yesterday he went the extra mile for me. I had let some air out of my tyres to drive in the snow over the weekend and I was pondering about them yesterday when Jeff came over to me to ask if all was all right, after explaining what I had done he offered to pump some air back in them so they were safe to drive home.

This is the second time I've used this carpark and both times, I've had issues with trying to leave as the machine does not read the barcode which was sent to me.
I pre-booked on both occasions as I was in town for the International Rugby games and didn't want to struggle to park.
Whilst the parking garage itself is easy to find, well maintained and well lit, having to spend time struggling with the machine then spend even more time in the security office having to get validated to leave is not a satisfactory use of anyone's time or resource, especially when you're paying good money for what is supposed to be a streamlined service.
Jeff was very pleasant and helpful in getting the problem resolved and we were on our way quicker than the first time it happened but it shouldn't be happening at all; particularly when a queue builds up with people having the same problem.
It's a backward step which needs to be resolved.

We actually visited this car park at the end of December and have been meaning to write a review ever since - now that I am finally doing it, I’m chuffed to bits to see that millions of other people have beaten us to writing incredible things about Jeff!
We were having a nightmare with the pay machine on the ground floor in the corner closest to the Millennium Centre, that could not take card payments and rejected half the cash that we had but kept the fiver! When we tried to recall the money it spat back out the coins but gave us a receipt slip to the value of £5! So we rang for help on the button, not expecting anyone to reply as it was gone 6 and outside usual office hours. Within moments, the dulcet tones of Jeff was telling us not to worry, he’d be right there.
He was there like a flash, listened to the situation, and said he could put it all right in the office round the corner for us, no drama. We followed him to the office, chatting friendlily as we went, where there was already someone else waiting for assistance - Jeff asked if we wouldn’t mind him serving them first as he had been serving them when he came to rescue us but didn’t want to leave us hanging - we said of course no problem at all. We watched him juggle their problem, our problem, and further calls for assistance over the help button deftly and with unfailing positivity, we were incredibly impressed and uplifted by his skilful dedication to helping people and defusing any potential tension in the situation with kindness, generosity of spirit and good humour. Here was a man clearly both incredibly knowledgeable and highly skilled with people - bearing in mind the fact that he is probably often presented with people who are a bit cheesed off by the time they meet him as they will have invariably encountered some kind of issue in order to warrant his attention - and he was just an absolute joy to meet. One of those rare gems who can hide what I’m sure to many others would have been a very stressful situation, clearly working under pressure from all angles and by the looks of it with a lack of resources (perhaps if the machines were all fixed and working effectively, or there were additional attendants on duty to resolve issues both coming through to the office and out across all levels of the car park, one person wouldn’t have had to have all plates spinning at once) but he did so without complaint, or any hint of frustration, he dutifully got the job done and still had a smile on his face with an exquisitely South Walian disposition of good humour, hard work, optimism and the ability to imbue others with a restored sense of faith in human beings. There are decent people out there, one of them is Jeff and I can only hope that as an employer QPark is recognising and rewarding this profusely, because let me tell you I have never reviewed a car park in my life and I’m not sure it’s a thing that anyone else does regularly, but we’ve all come here to say something about this man in this car park because he is a stand-out, stellar and straight up lovely chap who deserves recognition. No one walks away from a multi story and remembers it months down the line, or takes time out of their hectic lives to sit down and write about something that traditionally is a fairly uneventful and unspectacular experience, unless there’s a very, very good reason to do so. QPark are incredibly fortunate to have the likes of Jeff amongst their team, he is by far one of your most valuable assets and I hope you invest in him and his colleagues accordingly. Thank you, Jeff, we will be coming back in April to see Max Boyce in the Millenium Centre and we will be going out of our way to park with you!

Nice multistorey carpark very convenient for the millennium centre (where you can get a discount from if you're attending a show). It's often very busy in the day (I had to park on floor 12 last time I was there). Bear in mind that there can be extensive queues for the pay stations if an entire theatre full is trying to escape at the same time, so consider using the pay station at the far end.

This car park is very convenient for Millennium Centre being just across the road. My 89 year old mother had bought tickets to a concert and also for the car park over the phone. On entering the car park we did not have the tickets yet because we hadn't been to the Millennium Ctr to pick them up and I touched my debit card to the machine to open the barrier. When we picked up the tickets we realized we should not have done this. Now it looked as though we were going to pay for the parking twice but we went to the office and met Jeff who put our minds to rest, showed us where the lift was for my mother (the car was on 5th floor) and manually opened the barrier for us and reassured us that my debit card would not be charged. He was very helpful, calm and courteous and I'd like to thank him as my mother was a bit concerned even though it was not much money.

I would just like to say a big thank you to one of the staff at the Cardiff Bay Car Park today 30th October. I had dropped my token in the car after parking up, and lo & behold, it slid down through a tiny slot and under hand-break. I explained my dilemma to Jeff in the office. Fair play to the fellas who work here. Absolute legends. I had left some electronics running in my car whilst I attended work, killing off my battery. This meant upon returning to my car, I was stuck in the car park. I visited the office and found Karl and his 2 colleagues (unfortunately I didn't get their names,) jumping at the chance to help. At first we tried the jump pack they kept in the office, no luck. Then we tried a running start, with the boys using all of their might to push, almost worked but still no luck. I was preparing to give up at this point but they wouldn't have it, persevering to get me moving. One of the employees moved his car to my leveo and using jump leads, got it going. Absolutely heroic and much appreciated. Not all heroes wear capes.

After paying for my stay at Q-park, Cardiff, I drove off and realised when I got home ( late evening, about an hour later) that I had left a folder of documents on top of the payment machine! The Q-park head office gave me the phone number of the duty officer, who readily agreed to check, and fortunately the folder was still there! I went back and collected it from his office the next morning.
My sincere thanks go to Richard C., the duty officer in question, for his kindness and co-operation, which helped to keep me out of what would have been a very deep hole!!

Had a very traumatic experience in the car park recently as my car locked on its own and my daughter (and all my belongings) was inside the car. I screamed for help and Richard and Ieuan and a couple of others working in the car park came to see if I was ok. Richard calmed me down, rang the fire brigade for me and tried to cheer my daughter up through the window, whilst Ieuan ran over to get my partner from where he was nearby. We really appreciated your help. You went that extra mile and stopped me from having a full panic attack! Great car park and great hosts! Thanks!

Close to Wales millennium centre, convenient for Cardiff bay

Parked at Cardiff Bay toady as we have done a number of times in the past using pre-paid Millennium Centre voucher. The new entry machines were very confusing and gave no indication about using pre-paid vouchers. Entered using credit card. Then discovered that I should have pressed for a ticket. The parking host was very helpful and said that this is a common problem. Thank you Jeff for your assistance.
Please make the instructions clearer for pre-paid vouchers. The Millennium Centre voucher still refers to a token!

Very easy to find using satnav and there were plenty of spaces on the upper floors when we arrived. The access ramps were typically narrow and the damage to the kerbs showed that lots of vehicles had impacted them. The pricing was very reasonable with pay on exit allowing us to spend as long as we wanted in Cardiff Bay without having to worry about returning to the car by a certain time.
