Greatest museum in the world!!!
Must visit. First stop in Wales to see buildings from all over Wales. From thousands years old to quite modern 1980's.. They moved whole buildings brick by brick, stone by stone to rebuild them again in this location altogether with their surroundings (original fences, gardens and regional items).
Whole day is not enough to see it all. We were there from 10am to 5pm and had to return next day to see this vast area. Even more buildings are under construction...
We were speechles. Museum is free for visitors. Parking cheap £6 in April 2022.
All buildings had their staff and volunteers super knowledgeable. They exceeded our expectations answering any questions we asked for. They were genuinely happy to speak with us. We had a feeling that whole day was privately tailored for us making it very special. THANK YOU 🙏🏻😘

St. Fagans National History Museum is definitely one of the most beautiful places to visit in Cardiff and even perhaps in Wales. The nature and real life centered Welsh life museum outdoors is a great concept. Over 130 acres of land to explore. The museum itself is free, though you've to pay for parking; there is also an annual parking permit you can purchase, allowing you to do multiple visits at a cheaper parking rate.

An excellent museum, even on an overcast Wednesday in March. Will certainly visit again.

Excellent walk through the ages learning about Welsh history. It is a fantastic day out for the whole family and you only have to pay for the parking which is£6. I would highly recommend a visit.
T. W.
Good day out lots of history to look at lovely gardens and waterfeatures

A must see place of true and fascinating interest. Great family day out. Grab the children and granny!! It's free!!

Always a lovely day out.
Loads of history, loads of wildlife, a quaint little bakery and sweet shop.
Be sure to stop and take a look at nature you'll be surprised what you see when you take some time to listen and look.

As much as I enjoy st Fagans, i was disappointed to see that their park, just after entry, has no adaptive play. I had a little girl who could not play like her sisters and had to miss out. Quite disappointing.

Great experience for all ages. A must when visiting South Wales. One day is never quite enough time to visit everything including the castle.
S. H.
Really enjoyed . Especially the Makers market

I have already written a review of this place. Have a look at my other review for details. We as a family love it here and it is well worth the visit. Easy to get to with sign posts off the a4232 or sign posted from the Culverhouse Cross roundabout.

had to pre-book which is fine as long as you know.
love visiting, but think more could be done with the initial entrance space, seems such a waste why not put some art on the walls?
bakery was running out of supplies, which is surprising when you know exactly how many tickets you've sold.
despite this still had a great day and the value of money is amazing.
can't wait to experience The Vulcan. :-)
J. k.
Paid online easily before arriving and a friendly guard there pointed out the parental parking and offered a double space near him if none where available so we could still get out son out of the car seat easily and get his pram out
O. S.
An excellent day out. Well worth the parking cost

The castle and gardens are really nice. The rest of the building are closed so we could only see the outside. Overall as you only pay for the car park it was really great value. But I'd image when is all open fully it will be a 5 star day out
S. C.
My favourite place to take friends for a walk and a drink. I also love browsing through the second hand books in the cafe and buying small gifts in the gift shop.
C. B.
It is always delightful to go here. This time I was fascinated by the wool loom demonstration. So many treasures there.
R. P.
Great day out for the whole family! Aside from the main attractions, there are two playgrounds and an indoor gallery, and plenty of picnic tables. Well worth the visit even if all attractions haven't reopened fully.
E. L. W. G.
Lovely day out, absolutely free but you need to pay for parking. Lots of lovely buildings all spread out along the place. Perfect for all ages, and abilities, pushchairs and wheelchairs work well here too!
S. N.
Had a free wheelchair for mum, which was really appreciated, and had a lovely day. The staff were really welcoming. It wasn't too busy either. It's amazing that it's free! Just £6 to park the car.
J. N.

Lovely history place, lots of interesting details about everything
C. M.
Great Museum. Loads to see. Downside is the cafe (only one open because of C19 can't be helped). However, service extremely slow don't know how they'd cope when museum opens to full capacity? Food over priced and not particularly appetising.
L. M.
Great few hours spent here, FREE to get in, we didn't have to pay for parking the car either as we have a blue badge. Some parts a bit hilly but mostly on the flat.
A. c. r.

D. C.
Great day out pay to park everything else is free you have to book a parking space and the restaurants are open covid restrictions apply
A. D.
Very good though spaces are a bit narrow and there aren't enough parent and child spaces - only about eight and they should be nearer the entrance because one has to go through parked cars with a pushchair and the normal spaces are too close together to get a pushchair in-between
M. T.
Interesting museum. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good food from the snack bar.
I. R.
Great day out. Not all open due to covid restrictions but very informative none the less.
