Not a bad park but is lacking In the basic equipment you would expect form a park. There are currently no swings at the park and what is there is limited. Small amount of seating so will be hard to sit when busy. The only play park in the area, there is a coffee shop 100meters away and there is ample parking close by.

Really liked the place! Nice walking tracts and water facing sotting areas. There was a fun fair for kids when visited. Much enjoyed. Can take ride for boats as well. Nearby shopping centres and places to eat is plus point!

Great chill spot. Visit the Norwegian Church for a warm cup of coffee or tea and a snack. Steeped in history and part of Roald Dahl's life. It also has a lovely craft shop above the cafe for those unique gifts.

Amazing area, you can get some launch or dinner from a different restaurants. Also you can get some rest at different cafes. Sometimes happened different events are held at this area.

Even as the temperature is starting to drop as winter gets closer. it's refreshingly relaxing.

A great day for young children. Paddling pool, man made sandy beach, games rides, boat trips, food market, cafes and restaurants. If the weather is kind well worth a day out. Park in the red dragon centre 5 minutes walk away to safe a heap of pain. Then get a couple of takeaway coffees from the red dragon centre on way back to car and they will stamp your ticket for free parking.

Great place to come on a good day, still great on a bad day but do wrap up as it can get very choppy so near to the Bay. Lots of shops nearby and good places to eat. It does get very busy when there's warm weather so please plan ahead and check parking 👍

The only things of worth in the whole area are the Norwegian Church (nice coffee) and the old Pierhead Buildings, the rest is a jungle of junk, a carbuncle of a place devoid of character with the cancerous Welsh Assembly at its centre that really needs "lancing"

The picture of the Waterfront Park is of the Norwegian Church that as a child I saw at the old Dock gates entrance to the Cardiff Docks. The Norwegian Church erected in 1868 by Herman Lunde of Oslo. Was originally the Norwegian Seamen's Mission church for the Sailors of Norway and a place they were able to relax with other Norwegian Sailors and write letters home and read Scandinavian newspapers after their long journey to bring Scandinavian timber to Wales for use as 'pit props'. It was moved to its present position when the Cardiff Bay came into being. It is now a lovely Coffee Shop and Exhibition Arts Centre. Well worth a visit as it holds a lot of history not only for Norwegians but for the people of Cardiff. The Waterfront park is a lovely area for walking around and sitting watching the sailing boats and the water taxies shuttling to and fro from Cardiff Bay to Penarth Head and Penarth Marina and also Cardiff City Centre.
