Lovely walks, great for bird spotting and seeing seals. Unfortunately there are no toilet facilities.

A slightly uneven grass & gravel carpark. Easy to find & then a 10 minute walk along the side of fields to chapel.

Specious car park just at the end of the road next to the gates which will lead to the Chapel of St Peter Ad Murum.
Free of charge.

A walk down to the beach, I've never seen shell banks like it. Muddy in parts but it's all part of the adventure! We collected lots of shells and watched the murmarations of starlings along the sea wall. Essex's best kept secret!

St Peters on the Wall. Oldest church in England built in the remains of a roman fortress. Desolate and beautiful. You must put this on your bucket list.

Completed a couple of walks around this reserve. Well worth a visit if you like big horizons, sea air and open spaces

Lots of pot holes and very muddy. But one of my favorite places on earth

Quiet and secluded spot, quite a few visitors over bank holiday weekend but not heaving. Good place for a walk in warm weather but exposed so must be cold in autumn and summer. Some good birds to see including corn bunting, a few waders at the beach which I expect means there will be plenty in winter. Long mudflats, don't get caught walking out on to them, you'll sink in!

Small grassed car park with gravelled centre section. No facilities but it has a large waste container for rubbish so no excuse for litter. Good for a walk to the chapel and shore.

Great place for a walk or picnic on the beach

Nice car park, good access to the remains of Othona Roman fort and the Saxon chapel. Beautiful countryside and coastline, nice and deserted. Get to drive through some quant villages on the way to it as well

Oldest church in Britain....a sight to see.

Free, Simple and easy, but don't follow Google's driving instructions, Mr Google took me to a disused airfield, and sent me on a goose chase, but possibly I should have expected it, since this is darkest, deepest Essex.

So much to see in an area of natural beauty.
So much history too, especially as my dad asphalted the roof on the nearby power station back in the 50's
M. H.
Beautiful so historical and parking easy and free. Great little find

I parked my car here and only got out for a couple of minutes and walked as far as the gate. My car was still there when I got back to it, that's all I ever want from a car park really. Top marks.

Nice unspoilt spot.
