Reviews of Chapel Street Multistorey Car Park

The most secure and monitored car park in the UK and I think at one time the world!
Your car is not getting nicked from here - metal barriers on the exit, ANPR on the go and cameras everywhere.
It's located for a quick walk into the Cathedral Quarter or main City centre.
It's a typical price for an inner city carpark so don't moan you have been warned.
The only downside is that it was built when cars were much smaller and it's pretty tight around the corners, especially with low metal railings and concrete guides - plenty of free paint left behind by drivers showing us all how tight it is.

This was an excellent carpark. I must say. Well lit, well protected and highly recommended. Easy to find and affordable. Really felt good leaving me car here. I wouldn't park anywhere else in the area other than here

Conveniently located and reasonably priced. I've parked here a lot. It feels like a safe location for the car and me.

Ok prices but tight spaces and not many pay machines

Typical multi storey car park. Well located, used by Jury's Inn for residents. Cheap for a city centre car park. Easy to get in and out of.

Much better than it used to be, far more secure and doesn't smell like a toilet. Winner, winner chicken dinner!
W. M.
Secure. I actually thought it was closed but the cage doors slide open on getting a ticket. Reduced price if you stay at the jury's Inn.

Good location for the Jurys inn. Also easy for the city. The pay station is on the second floor and not near the entrance.

It was only half full and appeared very secure

Handy location and very secure. Not sure what the max time is without being charged but managed to drop off my son for training at DEDA across the road and wasn't charged.

I've never heard it called chapel street car park before. Us locals call it the park safe car park or bold lane car park. I didn't know what it was till I clicked it n looked on the map!!! It's apparently the safest car park in the UK.

fair price, good spaces

Incredible secured car park with parking space alarms doors which require an active ticket to reenter the car park on foot and on site security guards they also insure the security of items within your car (so long as they are in the boot) fair prices also

Always park there when in Derby due to its safe and cheaper to than the into/derbion centre

Typical multi storey car park. Well located, used by Jury's Inn for residents. Cheap for a city centre car park. Easy to get in and out of.

Pay station not easy to locate quickly - better signage would help. We thought that being a single person there late at night might be a bit intimidating.
H. C.
Just be careful of the door handles and handrails as 'cleaning operations have found hypodermic needles '
But apart from that cheap and central with a card security entrance
M. B.
Really cheap parking. Parked overnight whilst at Jury's Inn (across the road), charged £1.30. Only negative is the tight corners when going up or down levels.
J. N.
Seems secure, but it's a bit cheeky that they charge for bikes (same price as a car). Especially as their website specifically estates that they don't.

Very Handy to find & Excellent over night parking. Totally recommend.

Brilliant car park, very secure and quite cheap, ideal for overnight stay

The lift breaks down a lot. It has improved in the last couple of years, security has got a lot tighter making it a lot safer

Stair wells didn't smell of wee that's unusual for a multistory carpark
C. S.
Multi storey to the north of the Cathedral Quarter. Secure parking with pay as you leave.
R. B.
Stairs smelt of wee. Parking bays small fairly expensive but felt safe.
A. L.
Handy for town, but the place smells rank.
P.
Spaces can be a bit tight, but there is normally plenty of spaces at the weekend.
D. C.
Small spaces. Smelly stairwells. Reasonable prices.
