Reviews of Dunfermline Public Park
Great park with good playgrounds for the kids and in summer there’s lots of exercise classes on. Steep hill if you’re walking up from the train station which is at the bottom of the park. Great for dog walkers too.
Went for the first time really like it it's up hill down hill great place to jog
Such a beautiful park and it's huge! So glad we decided to take a trek up to the park. Its such a lovely open space would be great place for a picnic.
Nice big section for kids and family. But plenty of space to get away from the noise if you just want to take in the view and if you go to the higher spots you get one amazing view.
The only downside for me is I wish there were more benches especially in the lower sections of the park.
Is a good wee park for wee ones but some of the slides and climbing frames are no longer there. Needs some investment to get it back to being great again
Great varied park with equipment for kids of all ages and abilities! Central as well and well kept.
A nice park to walk in, central to the town and train station but safe for dogs to run about. Quite a traditional open public park. There are other nearby parks with good amenities for children to play but I like the public park for including nice trees, open grass, shrubs and decent paths. Oh and dont forget the bandstand, sadly not being used these days.
Beautiful and clean x. Gorgeous every single evening. Dogs predominantly walked on leashes . Love it x
Nice park to let the kids run about but a shadow of it's big brother the Glen.
Busy little cafe. Coffee to die for. Loved it. Clean bright and staff couldn't be friendlier. Will def be back.
Lovely little park especially if you don't like busy parks this is perfect ideal for a picnic only downside us you have to go to train station if you want toilet but definitely one of my favourites parks
My favorite park to chill and unwind. Good terrain for walks.
Long time since I've been big improvement looking good in the autumnal colours
Great quality park and walk in the woods with the gruffalo. Xxxx
Lovely, quiet green space on the east side of town.
Great view over the river Forth and to see the three bridges
Very nice open park with play areas and picnic areas. The park was very clean and well maintained with street parking close by. The play area was very good with accessable equipment for disabled children to enjoy the same equipment as others.
Great park for dog walking.
Nice place and for a walk and for kids, too, but bring them at the playground only in dry days otherwise they will get muddy. The playground does have no drainage...🤨.
New swing park is great.
Great park, lovely area to walk as well. And not as busy as others (for now anyway), good selection for the kids so this only thing lacking in my opinion is toilet facilities as you have to take the kids to the train station which is quite a pain. Otherwise, great park
Lovely gardens, park, play park, plenty of space for all. The cafe has always been the poor relation though, ok as far as it goes, but could be so much better with a good private outfit running it. The one at Dunfermline library is streets ahead on quality and variety.
Nice big park, loads of green space for dogs, not too crowded and tidy
Good and varied park in decent condition with stuff for kids of all ages. Some seating is available for adults.
Beautiful bandstand, stunning views of fourth bridges, and a lovely school wood to walk round with carved wooden animals and charectures. Well worth visit later sat in may when park festival is on featuring local bands, lots of stalls kids games. X
It's was a very quiet place to walk your dog but it's a bit livelier now the park has been built. School Wood a good short wander with your furry best pal too! :)
The public park is a great asset, especially with the addition of the new play park, but it could use a windbreak of some kind around the play park, some sort of coffee/tea bar and toilets. The park is beautiful but more can be done to make it really great.
Has an amazing park for kids especially if you have a toddler. You don't often get toddler appropriate areas. It is on a steep hill though if you approach from dunfermline train station.
Loved the Gruffalos trail! ♥
Used to get a 5 star rating from me. Still a nice park but not as well maintained these days. The main reason I feel it is not as good is the placing of the play park. Definitely not against it although the cost and labour could have been used better elsewhere! The placing of the play area right in the middle of the park was a mistake. This was one of the nicest areas for walking, near to the old bandstand. But, hey...I'm probably in the minority of those that care?
Great Park, well maintained and clean. It's recently had a new play park installed featuring a flying fox, swings, roundabout, seesaw, slides. Free parking at the train station at the bottom of the hill.
It was full of dunfermline people so that ruined it a wee bit
A great park with lots for the children to do. Unfortunately located in a hollow so can be extremely muddy after the rain.
Great new park although don't go if it has rained in the past 24 hours the place is a mud bath. Clearly drainage was not thought off when designing
Great place if you have kids of two different ages as there's a great park for the under three and a "grown up" park for the larger kids
Nice play park kids enjoyed themselves plenty to do lots of open space good walk for dogs!!
Great park, not crowded and that is the best about it! Plenty walks for big ones and smaller children, nice wee School Wood with statues, school grounds open for kids to be able to enjoy the activities.
Such a spacious green park which has paths which wind through great for dog walking and ball games for the kids good views across the area very nice.
You forget what a beautiful place we live in. The public park is well maintained and enjoyable, always visit the hot house which is worth a visit on it's own. Great walk and lots to see.
Part of my childhood. ..old and new play things...
lots of lovely walks around the place
Lovely walk, with plenty of bins, great scenery and kids play parks
Looked a very decent sized park in central Dunfermline. Part of the pathways project which I think links to the coastal path, I think. Nice park right in the centre. Lots greenage etc great space
Fantastic for a walk with kids and dogs, the park its wonderful and all brand new and well maintained
Great park with everything you need
Well designed play area with excellent play equipment.
What a lovely hide away park, great for dog walking and having a picnic
Nice place for a wee picnic if you're in dunfermline town centre, only a five minute walk, good play park and lot's of space for kid's to run about
Been in and out of this park for years, always a great walk/ run, great for kids, loads of nature, history and romance, love it
Great park for a walk or some exercise. Quite a climb up the hill though
Great place for kid's to run around take a picnic if the weather is nice lots to see aswell
They've added new swings, children love it.
The young ones are gathering at the band stand and under the viaduct. There is a lot of broken glass and rubbish.
Pleasant place to walk or exercise. There is events that occasionally take place throughout summer months. Touch rugby during weekends in winters months.
Lovely wee park
Good for chasing the wee man about to tire him out
Great little park, parking an issue as no dedicated area...
Lovely walk with great views of the bridges and Pentland Hills from the top of the park.
It's the glen ,great park home of the legend that was willie the peacock, if your lucky you may even see disco deek kicking about
Good wee walk was great for the dog too
Good park area, open spaces to walk
Quite a nice place. There is a place for kids to play in and for adults to just sit back and enjoy themselves.
Great place to walk round great for kids too !!
Big wide open space, lots of happy dog walkers. Quite steep in places.
Used to be mainly dog walkers who used it, but now it has a play park which any child would love to visit and a few picnic benches.
Lovely Park for a wander with dog
I went to the park as a little girl and just seeing it brings back so many happy memories.
Beautiful park and the way they've upgraded the kids' stuff is great.
Better than it was only seen 3 needles on my morning walk compared to last year's 15 and a hobo
Lovely park good for kids
Fantastic area to walk in enjoy the squirrels
Great place to let the kids run around, dog friendly too.
Nice Park
Such a nice place for a walk, picnic or to see the Peacocks.
Nice place for a walk but needs more things for children to play on
Good Grounds well kept. Is what it is view off the pentlands & iconic Bridges...what more ya want?
Great place for fun with kids or just for a walk
All round year dog walks. Lovely trees & lower walks along by the water.
Great park changed since I was a boy, but still good visit
Lovely green spaces and nice play equipment, some of which is accessible.
Excellent park for walking the dog or taking the kids to the playpark.
Lovely and they have a new play park for the kids
Great walk, great wee Forrest, well maintained
Some good skate spots. Would recommend for skating
Beautiful place for walk and children
If you've got kids, and you like the gruffalo, venture to the forest next to the school on the east side of the park.
Perfect WITH benches in it, rare for other parks!
Lovely park, was here with work for an easter egg hunt, good day.
Huge open space and very quiet. Great for a stroll with the dogs
Great for dog walking. Good café and public facilities.
Nice day out loads of things to keep kids interested. But expensive ice cream from van
Great place to walk the dogs and stunning views of the Forth and across to Edinburgh and beyond
They need to sort out the muddle patch round the big slide. Wee man was disappointed I didn't let him play on it.
Lovely park to go for for a nice walk.
Swampy, poor drainage at the park. Fife council built it in the lull of a hill.
Beautiful park for all the family.
The park is big and fun to find out things and play in
Great park only downside is the lack of toilets.
Kids love it here plenty for all ages
Good for walking dog. No playpark for kids.
A great place to walk the dog and get some fresh air
Very clean and well lit park
Lots of open space, and places to explore, for those with young kids and older people alike.
Great big green space for walking the dog
OK playback for kids. Some are for taller kids though.
Love. This park for me and grandsons, plenty to do for everyone
Very quick service and I also got a good bye from the staff.
