It’s fine if you need to change buses and perfect it you’re a commuter who does not want to drive right into the city as you can leave your car there and get a bus. It has a nice view of Hill of Beath Hill and some decent vending machines for hot drinks and snacks. Really nice clean toilet too so top marks for that as it’s so hard to get a toilet some places these day due to a Covid restrictions.
C. M.
There is a big parking area.Nice and clean all around.Very good for commuting between Glasgow,Edinburgh,Dunfermline,Kirkcaldy,Perth,St Andrews etc. There is a big waiting room for bad weather.Very close to Asda supermarket and Asda petrol station, open 24 hours.I add photos with buses schedule.Free parking ,unlimited time.
K. A.
Anywhere you wanna get to in Scotland, this is a station that solves all your movement problems. You also don't have to wait long in the cold as you can sit inside the station while waiting for your bus. The buses arrive on time too so it never gets congested.
S. A.
Great place to leave your car and catch a bus.
Massive Free car park available.
Customer toilet inside the waiting room.
So many buses stop here, travelling to all over Scotland.
R. D. D. C.
This is a major hub for buses in the West Fife area with buses going to just about anywhere in Scotland. Naturally if you want to leave your car and let the "Stagecoach" be your royal carriage, this is the place to park in the Dunfermline area. There is a covered walkway between the 6 stances. Be sure to check which one your bus is leaving from. The 747 recently moved from stance 3 to stance 5.
G. F.
Very helpful women here bus arrived and left in time arrived in Edinburgh in 35min. Was warm very clean easy parking car. Great.
s. h.
Credit where credits due, free public toilets at a place like this is almost unheard of these days! More than enough parking for everyone and electric charging points.
Only downside is next to motorway so unsafe to walk anywhere from here, but is possible.
D. T.
Easy and accessible, plenty of EV charging points though the 7KW are pointless as it takes a day+ to charge. Charge Place Scotland says they are 22KW but incorrect.
M. G.
Excellent. 140 miles from home free rapid electric car charging. Good facilities. Stopped there to charge up and have a meal break on the way to Glasgow and on the way home. Would now leave the car there and take the bus if going to Edinburgh.
H. S.
This is a lovely Park and Ride, with a large undercover waiting room and neat, covered bus stop area. The buses are more frequent than at many other bus stations and there is an adequate drop off space. It is easily reachable, just off the motorway.
On the down side, the parking area is large, but already too small because it is such a good and popular facility, and they are quick to issue fines if a desperate visitor parks even in a safe and unobstructive place when no parking spaces are available. The sign to the parking area could be confusing.
P.
A draughty old bus halt but a handy hub for access to all of Scotlands main destinations. Easy and convenient if you use the app to pre purchase tickets.
J. G.
Loaded of buses going all over Fife and to Edinburgh Glasgow and other major towns. Clean and well organised. I can always find a parking space and it's a great way of leaving your car and the stress of trying to park in the Cities.
J. G.
Easy to get to, regular bus service made getting in and out of Edinburgh a breeze
J. B.
Great place for either leaving your car and travelling on by bus . Has 747 to the airport.
B. W.
My local stopping off point for the airport and station bus for holidays trips to Edinburgh or Glasgow when I don’t want to drive etc. Great free facility
R. S.
For a park and ride it sure has plenty of parking spaces which includes many disabled bays and power points for electric vehicles. I do feel these will need to be increased with more and more people turning to electric vehicles. The waiting room are is fine in the summer but extremely cold in the winter. It is very cold especially when both automatic doors are continually opening. The information office looks quite warm though! A few vending machines in place but I would have thought a small cafe in there would be beneficial not to mention quite lucrative. Plenty of timetables to view and easy to read information for departures etc. A TV is also in place so you can watch while you wait. Overall not too bad, but its a place you do not want to be waiting in for too long in the winter months
N. C.
Clean, tidy as always, enough car park, buses are on time. Halbeath is my regular route to connect from Fife to Edinburgh vice versa.
R. F.
Great place to park your car as it lots of space . Clean and tidy. So simple to go anywhere by bus . Ideal for parking for access to Edinburgh airport also Glasgow airport.
A. B. (.
There are plenty of car parking spaces for people using the park and ride. I think the parking may be free to encourage people to use the bus. The stops themselves are all clearly laid out so you can see where the relevant bus arrives. This is effectively a big public transport hub and it works very well.
There is a big building serving the park and ride facility which offers lots of indoor seating, essential in the cold or wet weather. There is still plenty of outdoor seating in what is really a large clear covered tunnel serving each bus stop.
Inside the building there is a staffed information area and plenty leaflets about the various bus services. There are also toilets and various vending machines with snacks eg crisps and sweets and hot drinks.
Electronic screens show what buses are arriving and at which stops so you are never in the dark about which stop you need.
In general I would absolutely recommend the park and ride service. I have used the Fife plus option to go from Cupar / Pitlessie to Edinburgh airport both ways using the X24 or X54 and then get off at this park and ride and get a 747 to take me to the airport and it has been excellent. Just a few minutes of waiting at the park and ride and the 747 arrives and half an hour later I am at the door of the airport. This service has been very well planned and for the price of under £12 for a Fife plus ticket it is an absolute steal.
B. H.
It's is just ideal bus terminus if you want to catch buses gong north to inverness..perth dundee or go south to edinburgh peebles or go west. To glasgow change bus if going further west mcgills buses
D.
Love it and use it regularly to commute to the airport, much cheaper than parking at rip off Edinburgh Airport.
On a separate matter is that airport the most expensive in the UK? I don't know but it's definitely one of the priciest I have been too, if 'Welcome Home' means being fleeced.......hmm!!
N. C.
I use this as it's convenient, short walk from my house, cheap travel to Edinburgh and the buses run later than the trains.
T. T. C. L.
This hub for busses has loads of parking, but it hasn't aged well during the pandemic. It could definitely benefit from a face-lift and some tlc.
B. R.
Great parking. Warm waiting room, clean toilets. Coffee tea dispenser. Downside is waiting outside in draughty, open shelters waiting for bus.
Risky waiting in waiting room until bus arrives as it may not be at stance long.
D. S.
It's a park and ride, you can park your car and ride on one of the buses taking you to various places, mostly within Scotland, but that's OK. Got some useful ev charging point. Not seen the parking full, yet.
A. S.
Great parking if you don't want to take the car. Has security cameras too. Buses arrive from and depart to a good variety of destinations. Has a waiting room and restrooms.
J. M.
Great facility with ample parking, facilities, and regular bus and coach connections.
G. M.
Large parking area, handy for access to airport and good if you don't want to drive into centre of Edinburgh. Conveniently located to main road and buses to all areas
D. H.
Great jet 747 bus service into edinburgh airport, hope there are no restrictions or charges put on car parking as the 28 day open return ticket really should cover the cost of the parking. That should keep people using the service and less cars going into the city. The waiting room and toilets are modern, clean snd tidy. Dissappointed the local bus to Perth no longer stops in Glenfarg, if it did wouldn't have to use the car at all but doesn't reflect on Halbeath Park itself which is a great facility.
G. O.
Open 24/7, offers connections in a safe and pleasant manner along with providing toliwt facili and snack machines including hot drinks. Staff members on sit to Aid in any questions you may have along with power points for electric cars
P. E.
You can sure park and get connected to anywhere in Scotland. Good and comfy buses running the lengths of scotland cities and town.
J. G.
Halbeath Park and Ride is an excellent P&R facility in the heart of Fife. Located just off the M90 and A92, it allows many drivers and bus services to call there. The waiting building is brand new, warm, equipped with a TV, snack vending machines, and toilets. A lot of destinations available frequently: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness, St Andrews.
J. G.
It's ok. Lack of ATM when the buses only take cash is a bit ridiculous though given there's not an ATM anywhere near the site. No refreshments available either except a vending machine.
L. T.
Clean and safe. A fine place to wait for a bus.
w. s.
great place to park for a weekend away just park car and get bus to many places as you want ,and have airport buses running all night cant be bad great friendly staff and toilets if required
S. P.
I use Hallbeath Park & Ride two or three times a week. The only problem I have with it is how busy it is. People who are parking to go on holiday should be asked to park towards the back and leave the spaces nearest the office for people using it for the day.
D. M.
Great transport hub, with plenty parking and very handy info boards for your next bus
D. H.
A genuinely well done Park and Ride. Indoor Seating for when the weathers bad, well stocked Vending Machines, clean, bright and tidy.
Only criticism would be that the stance numbers ought to be clearer marked.
M. R. L. M.
Well organised. Large. It saves on the slow part of driving to the Airport, or to Edinburgh. Relax and let the bus get you there and no destination parking difficulties.
C. L.
Really good hub for busses, always lots of free parking spaces. The indoor waiting area is comfortable and has free toilets that is a massive plus.
S. G.
Does its job, but feels too quiet. Toilets are fine, but no other amenities. Would be nice to have some heating
R. P.
What makes a park n' ride 5 stars? I dunno but its a great place to park, wait, catch a bus and come back again. I'll definitely use it again.
J. E.

Good facility. Buses for Edinburgh Dunfermline Dundee and Fife all stop here. At the moment parking is free.
D. F.
Where the facility has been situated the cold wind blows right through the area {even in summer}. As a regular user of Halbeath P&P , this is most people"s gripe.
B. E.
Large free car park. In good proximity to Edinburgh, Glasgow and the rest of Fife. Good facilities within the building.
D. R.
Way better than using airport parking. Convienent for a lot of towns in east Fife and good links to rest of Scotland.

S. L.
Very convenient with regular buses into Edinburgh centre
C. W.
On whole it does what it says it does. But I'm very dubious about the parking, I think local garages may be using the carpark for storage of excess vehicles. It is almost full 24/7
