Really comfortable 4 star hotel. Would have gave 4 ⭐️ but for the chaos with the one working and tiny lifts. Meaning only one family at a time could use it. So you could be waiting for half an hour just to go up the lift. They obviously have had this problem for ages as the management have put signs on the wall saying “don’t fancy waiting on the lift? Use the stairs “ Which with prams and toddlers is not a choice. So be prepared to wait with your children which the management of this hotel need to address better. Eventually after a few days a lift engineer appeared and got the second lift working which for a hotel this size is essential and needs repaired instantly. All the staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly. But especially the thin waitress in “the tap” restaurant who has long brown hair. I’ve never been served by a more friendly person, so helpful and friendly to the children, such a kind person who really is the star of the hotel!!! The pool is pretty good quality with its adjoining jacuzzi. Almost always busy but just big enough to deal with this. Rooms were quite dusty and carpets need replaced. Also, if you arrive to late to not get a parking spot in the hotel car park it’s your tough luck and your asked to park in a NCP car park half a mile away. This was a nightmare because it would have meant walking back up the hill with all your bags and children in the pouring rain. The only way the hotel helped was to give you a discount for the ncp car park and let you use the luggage storage room. However, it’s basically up to you to find a space somewhere else and walk back to the hotel in whatever the weather is. That also needs addressed by the management. Not good enough!!

The decor on a modern Scandinavian / British style is up to par. Keep going! (Original) Hôtel très moderne et idéalement situé au centre de Édimbourg. Les chambres sont absolument nickel, le petit déjeuner est de très haute volée avec un choix énorme. La déco sur un style scandinave / British moderne est à la hauteur. Keep going!
