Reviews of Premier Inn Edinburgh Leith Waterfront hotel
J. D.
My friend and i booked in for four nights. We always stay in premier inns and rooms have been clean and staff friendly. Unfortunately on this occasion my friend in the single bed, which was pushed up against an extremely cold outdoor wall, decided to pull the bed away from the wall. She was horrified to find substantial amounts of rubbish etc down the side of the bed. As a cleaning service was not on offer we promptly returned the bed to it's original.position. very disappointing but didn't stop us enjoying our stay with this unusual drop in standards. Lication is brilluant. We drove there but used the lical bus service most of the time
J. G.
The staff were so helpful and the whole place was spotless. Bed was very comfy and room nice and warm. The adjacent brewers fayre provided a really nice breakfast and staff there were also very helpful and friendly. Would definately use again
M. B.
Great place to stay. Check in was quick. Room appeared to be clean. We had a room facing the sea so the view was fantastic from the room.
I. I.
Typical Premier Inn. We found it clean and the staff very friendly.
We were on the 2nd floor (top floor) and as we were in almost the last room in the corridor it was quite a long walk from reception. Large free carpark. Judging by the number of vans in the car park it was obviously popular with workers
D. C.
Stayed there for 2 nights, staff was very friendly, room was very clean, great rooms, was in a quiet area too.
Carpark is free but gets full pretty quick as it shares spaces with the restaurant next to it, but i didn't have any problems.
Will definitely be going again.

Lovely location, and quiet at night. Unfortunately the rooms were not cleaned well before we started our stay and the beds did not seem to be of the same standard as other hotels within the chain. Tired decor and over soft mattress. However very friendly staff and great selection for breakfast.
S.
The staff were SPECTACULAR. I wish I'd caught their names, the lady who checked us in had her birthday on 18/8, same as me. She was welcoming, gave the children colouring and maps, organised balloons and a banner in our room. Absolute star.
Every other member of staff we spoke to was fantastic too, they honestly did the Premier Inn brand proud.
The hotel itself is standard Premier Inn. Comfortable beds, reasonably priced. Immaculately clean.
M. K.
A great location for families with bus services right outside the hotel heading to the city centre and attractions.
An unlimited use family day ticket was only £9.50
The hotel itself was big with its own parking, but make sure to register your car for the duration via the reception or scan and register barcode.
Rooms were adequate and comfy, however the cleaning and servicing regime was a little lapsed, and also had to keep requesting basics each day from reception. However apart from this, still a good stay and would recommend to others.
G. G.
Spot on. Nothing was too much trouble. All you had to do was ask. The staff were always smiling and happy to help. The room was clean and all our needs were catered for.
G. J.
Not the cleanest. Cobwebs about and hairs in the bath. Bed very creaky. Tea and coffee in room is, per most budget hotels in fairness, very poor. Very low prices. No frills which is fine. Staff all lovely to my knowledge. Disappointed/10
M. S.
We had a room with a nice view over the sea and the harbour.
The room was up to the normal high standards of Premier in.
The staff was really helpful and friendly at checking.
Shame they only give you two coffee pouches, for a room with two people it’s never enough.
A. C.
Great place to stay at Newhaven Quay. Nice rooms, fans available if required, we always stay here for the Loch Fyne Seafood restaurant.
E. M.
Great location. Room clean and tidy on arrival and staff very helpful and friendly. Only disappointment was the pub adjoining, Brewers Fayre, tables always booked so you have to be quick. No curry on offer for the whole of our stay, fish limited offer and breakfast was rubbish when you could only get a 10am slot. Hardly anything left, only plain yoghurts, no flavours, no bananas. Worse breakfast ever! We have stayed in many premier inns!
A. H.
Great views here and a great location for a long coast walk. There is even a beach within walking distance where locals regularly dip their toes in the sea, Granton Beach.
The accommodation is standard Prem Inn, great staff, clean rooms, you know what you are getting with a Premiere Inn.
There are some great food options nearby for breakfast and evening meals too. The Haven and Basil's do great breakfasts.
B. R.
We stayed from the 29th Nov-3rd Dec 2021 and found this to be excellent choice of hotel, friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable accommodation, ask for a room on floor 2, odd numbers above 207 to 221, and you'll have a good view of the three Forth River Crossing bridges in the near-distance.
N. D.
The hotel was fine, the room very good. The restaurant was not so, the food was good, but it was very cold, the front doors were wide open, which I am told they have to be due to covid, however I doubt there was any heating on. It was so cold that I had to go to put my coat on.
R. C.
In a great spot right on the water. Just a couple of miles outside the city and parking is free for hotel residents. The hotel itself lives up to the usual Premier Inn but the staff are a cut above. We stayed for four days and all of the staff members we spoke to were lovely.
T. D.
Arrived 24/11 for a couple of nights. Very disappointed with the reception. 6 workmen were checking in. Not one of them had a mask on and were never challenged by the staff. When I questioned a member of staff I was told it wasn't compulsory although they had signs up saying a mask MUST be worn in public places. I thought they would have at least mentioned it to the 6 men . We got our room and changed it because we were next to a the lift.
J. T.
The staff were very welcoming and efficient. The room was quiet and spotless. Big buffet breakfast in the Brewers Fayre.
H. B.
Great location. Easy walk to Royal Yacht Britannia. 24 hr Asda Close by. Fish market with great restaurant and takeaway close by along with a Brewers Fayre. Bus stop (No. 10 bus) outside for trips to and from Edinburgh City Centre which takes about 25 minutes.
D. M.
Very helpful as we arrived before check in time but said we could park the car and showed us where to phone taxi from, for free.
R. E. I.
Great experience, lovely room with sea view. The best staff i ever met...friendly, polite, welcoming and smiling. Definitely will be back here.
C. M.
Used this Premier Inn so that we could have the chance to visit a couple if castles on the long drive home. The room was adequate but I have experienced better from other Premier Inns. It was handy to getting in to Edinburgh centre.
D. C.
Not bad. Friendly staff and free parking but other than for Newhaven, the location is a bit odd. I suspect this hotel will make a lot more sense when the new tram service opens.
T. C.
Room is clean , staff is very helpful... but for business is not good if you looking for good internet... is not working good, is slow, I buy for 30£ monthly and is still working very bad , company where Premier inn is deal is soo bad and money is not refunded!!! Hotel will be nice if thing about good internet !!! This why is not for any business people!!
I. H.
Great location, just out of the city and plenty of buses regularly passing by..Clean comfortable accommodation and the staff could not be more helpful..We will be returning if we visit Edinburgh again..Thank you..
J. J.
The only real downside is the rooms don't have air conditioning which is a bit uncomfortable if it's very warm, but hey it's Scotland so that probably isn't too often ;)
S. F.
Not the very best Premier Inn I have been to. Though convenient, close to city center with a car park.
L. L.
Absolutely brilliant place. Very welcoming, clean! Request a sea view also, I didn't pay extra and look at that view
D. T.
Good premiere Inn, love being next to the waterfront. Ready access to public transport and a range of food within walking distance.
L. K.
Very clean with lovely, friendly staff. Not much in the immediate area and walk into Leith in the dark isn't the best. But fine if you don't mind walking into town.
L. G.
Lovely view clean and in a quiet are local bus service to town centre didn't want to come home thanks to my gorgeous boyfriend for bringing me
M. P.
Excellent budget hotel great staff comfortable clean rooms easy access by bus to Edinburgh stops across rd
R. J. F.
Convenient, not too dear, restaurant good, good view west.
P. L.
Nice clean hotel just out of the way by the coast. Just 10 minutes drive from Edinburgh city centre.
I. M.
Great value for money, clean room, comfy bed, good facilities, would happily use again!
G. M. 1.
Usual premier inn experience, friendly helpful staff, but not as quiet as other Premier inns we've stopped in, hence 4 star not 5 could do with upgrading
D. C.
You can't beat a premier Inn, despite the look on the outside (which doesn't matter because when you sleep you don't see it) the room was amazing and the bed super comfy and comfy seating for relaxing before bed. Staff also very friendly and happy to help.
k. m.
Staff very friendly, always available if you need anything extra or information. Rooms clean.
c. b.
Great room overlooking the lighthouse.
Just wish you get the room cooler as the windows only open 2 inches.
K. P.
Lovely location. Nice and clean. Roomy bedroom. Fantastic breakfast. A short bus ride into the centre of Edinburgh. Pubs and restaurants close by
A. H.
Staff were great but not enough of them. Room wasn't ready even though we arrived an hour after check-in. Didn't get breakfast that we booked in advance. Didn't get room key till next day so someone had to keep letting us into our room
N. J.
Amazing service from Charlotte on reception.
Sorted out a booking problem, that was all my fault! Thanks a lot.
i. t.
Great location, comfy rooms and a reasonable price.
K. G.
Stayed several times - always clean - friendly staff- great breakfasts. Excellent value for money in a great location.
T. X.
Cheap and clean, this is what you want. I give 4**** as the room was very warm ( no air con ). We had a fan but it didn't make much difference...
L. S.
Very good hotel. Free parking. Lovely walks by the sea. Good restaurant The Fish market close by. Regular bus service into Edinburgh £1.80. Staff very helpful.
S.
My brother, sisters and I were only staying for a night for our youngest brother's funeral. Chris, Daniel and John went out of their way to smooth out this sad and shocking event. They kindly re-arranged our rooms so we could all be on the same floor overlooking the sea.All three debunked the myth that this younger generation is too self-involved to show empathy for others. We sat on the quay side watching the sun go down eating the best fish and chips in the world from The Fishmarket. Thank you Scotland, my brother was so happy in your company.
a. M.
good stay. very clean, safe & secure hotel. All the staff were so helpful and accommodating and the room was very clean. Room was a very decent size and modern , prices great, Ideal location and affordable!
K. B.
Great place to stay only a 20 minute bus ride to the city centre.
Really quiet and loads of free parking spaces.
E. 7.
A good value Premier Inn room. Would be 5 stars but one of the beds supplied for the children was not quite as comfortable as the other beds in the room (think it may have been a camp bed). Otherwise had all the usual facilities and helpful staff. Brewers Fayre next door was fine but the Starbank Inn just a short walk up the road was worth the visit.
D. P.
Always good value and consistent. Love the lack of hassle Premier Inn gives you.
C. W.
Still not cleaning room. If you need
Clean towels you just asked and get
Them at reception same with tea etc
M. S.
Lovely helpful staff, nice rooms, good size and comfy beds, nice location......very impressed
P. P.
Nice check in, Nice view of the sea 🌊 from my bedroom window 🪟
L. L.
Great stay, staff were busy bit always polite. All did great even in the brewers fayre pub even when other customers treat them badly. 10/10 to fantastic staff!
A. B.
Absolutely stunning place. The views across the water behind the hotel are stunning. Hotel very nice and you get a nice meal in the Newhaven quay next door. Definitely recommend. Stopping for 1 night at the end of the month on the way to Weymess Bay and already booked in for 4 nights in February
B.
Very comfortable and clean hotel. Asked for extra pillows as we only had two and it was no problem. The staff are amazing and we definitely recommend this hotel. Lots of great places to eat within 3 mins walk so don’t rush to the Brewers Fayre next to the Hotel. Buses right outside the Hotel take you into Edinburgh or Uber for around £13
B. M. M.
The staff could not be more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
Highly recommend the rooms overlooking the Forth.
Very comfortable rooms with all essentials taken care of at a value price.
S. L.
Clean and tidy, standard room. No air conditioning at this hotel just an electric fire.
COVID clean. Receptionist very friendly. On way system in place. Sanitizer stations also.
Waterside view would have been lovely but we are overlooking the car park and reception area.
J. P.
Monika, Tomasz and Chris went out of their way to look after us and did an excellent job! We had come to Edinburgh as a family to attend our younger brother's funeral, and we needed a "home" for a few nights to find peace and quiet, which they so perfectly provided. They found us rooms overlooking the water, which made Premier Inn look more like a five star than a three star! If we were ever to stay in Edinburgh again, it's a no - brainer, Premier Leith Waterfront! Thank you!
B. B.
Great location for going into the city, staff very helpful
N. F.
Attentive, responsive staff coupled with facilities where you know what's promised is delivered. Premier Inn is nothing fancy, but for a reliable, consistent comfortable stay you can't do better in the budget market.
A. S.
Couldn't fault this hotel at all. Got a room with a brilliant view. The two young gentleman that were at reception when we arrived were so lovely, friendly and welcoming. The view from our room. We went into the brewers fayre next door for our tea, was very good. Would recommend it.
L. P.
Great place to stay, convenient bus stops nearby for travel into city centre. Will be back
C. D.
hotel was very clean and helpfull following covid 19. brewers fair next door evening meal was ok but limited. Breakfast was not so good, both mornings sat at our table and waited over an hour for our food we got some drinks then we got some of the breakfast ordered but cold we got some more drinks got no toast when we did on butter had to ask for butter
I think some training is needed on how to serve on table at a time with you full order
C. G.
We always stay here.
Good quality hotel with very little issues
D. F.
We have stayed here twice and have found the staff to be very pleasant and accommodating. However, the hotel could use redecorating and the carpets scrubbed/replaced. The Brewers Fayre food at this location is appalling to say the least. We have dined for both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was the better of the two by far. Service is slow, food is tasteless and the atmosphere loud and certainly not for those who do not enjoy this type of environment. Most Premier inns are great, this location not so much...Wouldn't stay at this location again.
a. a.
It was brilliant. Reception staff Aniko and Monica were so so so helpful, pleasant and professional.
They are doing a very good job for Premier Inn.
I found this location good with free parking and access to local amenities.
S. G.
Really good value, good location, staff made you feel very welcome
S. L.
It's a premier inn, what more can I say, doesn't have its own restaurant as its a brewer's fayre next door
R. A.
We are regular Premier Inn customers sadly this isn’t the best we’ve stayed in. We already knew there was no air con but that’s fine so what didn’t we like.
The bathroom was dated, standing in the bath for a shower is okay if you’re stable on your feet but the bath gets slippery with no anti slip surface in the bath. I cant remember the last time I stayed in a hotel with no toilet roll, instead they have Kimberley Clarke tissues.
The bed felt smaller than a king size, it probably wasn’t but I’ve stayed in Premier Inns before with larger beds.
The floors and walls have no sound proofing, be prepared to hear every footstep in the room above or do yourself a favour and get a top floor room.
The Brewers Fayre next door wasn’t very busy, you’ll understand why if you eat there, average food served luke warm and lengthy waiting times.
The good points; the staff are friendly, the location is perfect, ample free parking spaces, decent size TV and channels and although the rooms are a bit dated they are clean.
M. i. E.
Pleasant staff warm comfortable room
I. P.
Clean. Good location. Try and ask for a sea view room on the 1st floor or 2nd.
j.
Clean room. Good location. No complaints :)
P. B.
Very nice Premier Inn, friendly, helpful staff, highly recommended
M. H.
Just fine. As blant as it gets. Very dated and not the most inviting place. Nevertheless there was nothing really wrong with it and the bed was really comfy. The location is a fair bit away from the centre but the bust connection is excellent. It is also lovely to stay by the sea harbour.
T. J.
Excellent place to stay whilst visiting Edinburgh. Staff were superb, both day & night, nothing was too much bother. Short taxi/bus journey into city with plenty of free parking. Brewers Fayre next door..good food & bar..just what you need after 3 hour journey. Highly recommended will definitely stay again.
J. T.
Room. Very. Good. Clean and comfy but myself and most of our group were very disappointed with the meal in the restaurant in the evening. The rare steak was burnt to a crisp as we're the sausages. The garlic chicken was dry and there was no garlic. My meal was forgotten as was drinks order and when we complained nothing was done. Reception staff were good. Can't say the same about the restaurant staff.
S. M.
Stayed here a few times, room is comfy, clean and spacious.
The breakfast at brewers fayre next door was disappointing, obviously short staffed, majority of tables had dirty dishes on them and were still there when we left. There were no clean glasses or mugs, no teabags left, no fruit salad and not a great deal to choose from for a hot breakfast, when staff(one girl) if they had more food coming they said they had run out and they still had 90 minutes of breakfast time to go . Very disappointed 😩
P. T.
Modern very clean accommodation, helpful check in girl .
T. K.
When we are in Edinburgh next time, we will return to this hotel) I liked the comfortable double bed) Clean and cozy)💜💜💜
G. H.
Great relaxing place to stay with easy access to the city.... Loved it
I. H.
Nice quiet hotel lovely waterfront views
A. H.
It's a premier inn! lovely view over the water
B. M. M.
The staff could not be more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
Highly recommend the rooms overlooking the Forth.
Very comfortable rooms with all essentials taken care of at a value price.

Great staff view of the sea next to a bus stop and good food
N. F.
Attentive, responsive staff coupled with facilities where you know what's promised is delivered. Premier Inn is nothing fancy, but for a reliable, consistent comfortable stay you can't do better in the budget market.
I. R.
P. Inns are always a comfortable sleep. Real bonus having the fan in the room on a hot day.
G. N.
Nice place, good location.
Everything you'd expect in a Premier Inn delivered again.
P. G.
Comfortable room and beds as you'd expect with Premier Inn; you can't really go wrong. Opening windows, plus a fan in room! Excellent. It's attached to a Brewers Fayre which again for pub chain food is pretty good. Menu has been changed recently, some nice veggie options added too. Good service, nice staff. Would definitely come back.
T. K.
When we are in Edinburgh next time, we will return to this hotel) I liked the comfortable double bed) Clean and cozy)💜💜💜
J. r.
Room is lovely and clean, staff have been very helpful, room was short of a few things, soon sorted after we'd asked. Breakfast was so good, we've barely had to eat for the rest of the day. View from the room on to the sea is lovely. Within walking distance of the ocean terminal shopping centre and the royal Britannia. Would definitely stay again.
L. B.
Service in both reception was excellent. The booking machine was not functioning properly and the staff member dealt with it promptly. The room was quite large. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Best sleep I have had away from home. The view from our room was fabulous. Right on the waterfront. A 15 minute walk to The Royal Yacht Britannia Would recommend this hotel
A. P.
We were staying overnight as a family of 4 with two adults and two adult kids. We booked two rooms side-by-side and were delighted to find the two rooms were connected so made sharing luggage a lot easier! The rooms and ensuites were very clean and the beds were comfy. The only downside was it got quite warm in the rooms due to no air-conditioning (assumed).
M. B.
We arrived at a very busy time, room very hot, had to ask for extra pillows.
D. C. P.
Near best Fish & chips in Scotland
Welch's The Landing
I. H.
Nice quiet hotel lovely waterfront views
R. 7.
Friendly check in staff (I think her name was Patty), really enjoyed my stay in this hotel - it’s cheap, clean and cheerful.
Stayed here for a night during my trip to Scotland - used it as a good base for Edinburgh - there’s a bus stop over the road that gets you straight into the city centre.
I will be back!
S.
Use Premier Inns a lot throughout the year. A little disappointed in this one felt that it needs updating.
Staff & cleaning personnel really helpful.
They have rooms with sea views, which I wish we had, as our room was last one on the block Room 248. If you don't fancy a hike to your room this isn't the room for you.
D. P.
Always exactly what you expect from a Premier Inn. Very quiet setting. Rooms of one side have a nice view over Newhaven harbour. Good bus service to and from Edinburgh City centre but if you are fit it's walkable in under an hour. Google maps can give you walking routes along some peaceful walk/cycle paths.
c. h.
Nice clean and modern hotel. The staff are friendly and the room is very nice with a large flat screen freeview TV. The hotel is by the water and docks and it is a lovely location, and only 20 minutes bus ride from the city centre. Overall this is a very nice place to stay.
a. f.
Really good staff, lovely location, a good base for exploring Edinburgh
G. G.
Went for a breakfast good quality and value
c. r. (.
The staff here are fantastic, very hard working and friendly,as are the staff in the adjoining Brewers fayre where you have breakfast. Easy walking distance to amenities, and great bus service to the sights. Situated in beautiful surroundings. Would highly recommend to all ages to come to Leith!
H. S.
It was nice apart from our baby had to sleep in a travel cot despite the site showing a comfortable cot. It was very uncomfortable for baby and thus no-one really slept well. But that aside objectively it was fine and well priced at 140quid for a family of 4. With a bus stop just outside to get into the city.
R. T. G.
Great value for the money. The bed is awesome, the breakfast is great and if you're lucky to get a room with a sea view, like we did, the better. We'll surely check for Premier Inn in all our future journeys, completely happy with it
M. H.
A lovely location, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room has a very nice view of the sea. The restaurant (a brewers fayre) has a good selection of food and beers. Breakfasts are really good. A 20 minute bus ride into Edinburgh city centre and a 15 minute walk to Ocean Terminal to see the Royal Yacht Britannia.
C. B.
Much better than the Premier Inn at Portlethen.
This has restored my faith in using Premier Inn again.
F. G.
Lovely staff and hotel was immaculate
P. L.
This place is fantastic value for money. Just outside of the City centre, the beautiful sea views make up for the bus journey you require to see the main sites of the City.
The staff were warm, welcoming and very friendly. The rooms were clean and the comfy bed is the reason that I look to stay in premier inns ahead of other competitive hotel chains.
P. M.
Excellent location. We stayed for 3 days and We ate here every day with the grandchildren it’s just easier they have a good menu with plenty to choose from at reasonable prices and after dinner we took a walk round the harbour. Very enjoyable.
R. F.
The bath had scum around it on arrival so needed to scrub it before running.
The rest was good, great views of the sea, tv, tea making facilities, soap dispenser, lovely staff at reception and great breakfast buffet and meals deals where kids eat free with every paying adult.
P. K.
Stopped for a Coffee before going to Loch Fyne Restaurant
C. H.
Standard Premier Inn nothing special. Clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and good shower. Many options for food around and easy access to the centre of the city. My only complaint is whilst they do provide WiFi, it's not particularly useful for anything in this day and age. It's a bit of a cheek to ask you to pay £15 for a week of usable Internet is more than a bit overpriced.
G. M.
Pleasant and helpful staff, clean rooms and a great pub next door offering reasonably priced food. Added bonus is the bus stop right opposite the hotel to go into Edinburgh.
T.
Perfect for a nights stay. Clean and tidy rooms and the staff were great. Well worth the money spent.
S. R.
Very noisy hotel. Tapping all night long in our room from the roof. No idea what it was but it was but it was so annoying . Bed was comfy though and it's good if you want to see another side of Edinburgh.
M. K.
Very comfortable very clean very well organised at this time we all have to be very set the people around and ourselves thank-you premier Inn for going the extra mile and special thanks to John on reception and the girls for their help
D. B.
Comfy bed, nice room, great location right next to Leith Harbour and the frequent number 10 bus service for trips into Edinburgh. There was some noise in the morning due to construction work across the road, although I believe this has now been completed. I'd stay again, but I'll be asking for a sea view room next time!
M. L.
Had a great time with the kids food was good too x
L. S.
Good place and rooms where all sanitised to very high standard very much impressed staff was very friendly and helpful.
C. P.
The rooms and staff were nice, but the location has you far from the city center. The #10 bus route comes right to the hotel and there is a grocery store a block away. Included a pic of the #10 route as this was the most convenient/primary service we used during our stay.
M. G.
Premier Inn cleanliness, no frills, but very quiet, and if you're lucky, you'll get views facing the sea. Brewer's Fayre conveniently located next door. It's about a 25 minute walk into Leith Centre. Great value for money. 🌟
A. V.
Hotel good. Very clean and rooms nice and cool.
Breakfast good and breakfast staff helpful and friendly.
However... We went in the Brewers fayre on our first evening there and left quickly as the staff were abrupt, rude and so unhelpful.
D. J. G.
Great meal, lovely staff and beautiful location, get a pic of the lighthouse
S. E.
Lovely clean great team willing to help
A. C.
Just what you expect, in a decent location with free parking and WiFi. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive.
M. T.
Welcoming friendly staff Chris was very accommodating changing our room to a sea view. Room 103, comfy bed, quiet, good shower, nice and fresh.
R. M.
Spent 2 days here, could not fault it, breakfast was excellent rooms were spotless. Shower was amazing. Free car parking. We will be back.
R. N.
Comfy bed, clean and decent sized room at a good price. Food was fantastic, as was the service. All you can eat breakfast, with plenty of healthy options. In a decent enough part of town, with a short drive to Princess Street/the castle.
V. B.
Hotel is as you would expect from Premier Inn, clean and comfortable. We didn't use the adjoining pub so cannot comment. It is approx 3 miles from central attractions. Number 10 bus stops opposite the hotel. You can come back on either number 10 or 11. Taxi ride is approx £13 one way. We have no negative comments.
s. t.
The view from the hotel is right across the water you can see the forth road and rail bridges, it is also easy to get the bus straight to the city centre, no.10 outside the hotel close to the royal yacht. The staff in the hotel are all lovely especially Martha at reception she found out it was our wedding anniversary and left a box of chocolates a balloon and a card in the room for us, the hotel had just been painted so was spotless and so was the room. The restaurant was clean and food was delicious I would go back there any time.
J. G.
Pleasant setting on the harbour side. A decent fish restaurant and good chippy within a hundred yards plus of course the Premier Inn brewers fare pub. Clean hotel. Friendly staff. Free parking. Asda nearby. What more do you need?
J. B. S.
Clean, comfortable and friendly staff
P. R.
Lovely stay in room 133 staff happy pleasant & VERY helpful..
Could'Just' see the sea If'we looked to the left out of our window..don't like the view of a skip straight opposite our window Or the Blue Window frames instead of their usual white or Aluminium.. But our Room lovely & clean..Bed very comfy. But certainly don't recommend Brewersfayre as badly in need of refurbishment apart from eating our breakfast which we had booked & payed for online we chose to eat out elsewhere..
T. W.
We spent the night at the Premier Inn, here which was good enough. Where the visit was let down was the associated Brewers Fayre when we attended the Sunday morning breakfast. Very bad. had to wait 30 mins for a seat. no communication from the BF staff as to what was happening - there was after a complaint was made to the premier inn staff that we were briefed as to the problems they were having (staff shortages! Anyway, this is not a criticism of the Premier Inn, although it baffles me as to why they have an association with Brewers Fayre who provide breakfast etc to their customers. As now you the Premier Inn are being linked-in to the bad service experienced at the adjacent Brewers Fayre
J. S.
Normally a good experience and convenient for the city centre without actually being in it (much easier if travelling by car). Last time however the hotel was heaving with a very noisy school trip plus we had problems with our room (dirty plus very noisy from a coach left right outside our window with the engine constantly running). After a battle with the reception staff they finally changed our room. Will reserve further judgement until we visit again - previous visits have always been fine
M. B.
The rooms were clean and the bed was comfy to sleep in. The staff were also friendly and helpful when needed. Unfortunately the corridors leading to the rooms did not smell very pleasant, and the brewers fayre connected to the hotel was quite dirty.
S. A.
We had a large family room on second floor. Check in quick and easy. Gave us all bus details. Room lovely and clean. Large tv on wall. Can't fault at all
J. R.
A good nights sleep may be guaranteed but a parking space is most certainly not!
Rooms were as expected and clean, but very limited parking considering the number of rooms in the hotel coupled with the fact its shared with attached restaurant.
C. A.
Lovely clean room and friendly service,I felt very safe from covid as it is very well explained and organised...
I. S.
Clean; handy for Ocean Terminal. Friendly staff. Shame staff at Brewers Fayre next door refused to serve us a drink as we hadn't booked a table...!
L. D.
Cant beat a premier inn, does what it says on the tin well. Great location with nice views and still easily accessible for central Edinburgh. The perk of free parking makes it cheaper to stay here than in the centre of town.
O. M.
My family room was absolutely fine. Massive flatscreen TV, lovely beds, clean bathroom with hot water at all times. Occupants in the room above were extremely noisy during the night and I encountered miserable guests in the reception area whose faces would have curdled milk, no doubt due to breakfast at nearby Brewers Fayre being cancelled due to an emergency, but this was not the fault of Premier Inn who provided free continental brekkie to those affected. Being zero degrees at the time of my stay and overlooking a harbour there was water on my window sill but I just mopped it up with a used handtowel and left the window slightly open during the day. The reception staff were friendly and professional despite getting constant flak for the temporary lack of cooked breakfast. I would stay again.
Btw, for breakfast there are a few options all within a five-minute walk of this hotel, harbour-side. Avoid Asda for brekkie unless you are on a budget.
C. A.
Stayed here on my first ever trip up to Edinburgh. My friend has been to Edinburgh many times before but as he had never stayed here I decided that we should. Excellent location right on the waterfront. Little harbour adjacent as well. Bus stop literally over the road served frequently daily.
The staff were friendly and offered us a lot of information and advice on places to go for a drink at night as we weren't sure where te best places were. Plus its slighy cheaper than Premier Inns in closer to the city but certainly not less accessible.
G. H.
Great relaxing place to stay with easy access to the city.... Loved it
A. R.
Nice welcome and had a great sleep as the bed was amazing, nice large room and a great shower, all you need for an overnight.
A bit further away than we realised but a good bus service.
J. D.
Reassuring PI with free parking. Great setting and nearby neighborhood pub and inn along with fresh fishmonger and internationally known Loch Fine restaurant. Negatives, are having to leave PI by taking a few steps to Brewer's Fayre chain for breakfast, again reassuring food. Our room, 104 was directly above the main entrance. No major issues for us on this visit however it can be used as a meeting point / smoking area with a bin closer to the building than where we would have liked it to be. An issue over our meals was immediately resolved by duty manager Keith. Getting around, bus 10 can be found a few feet away however, walk 10 minutes to Ocean Terminal and pick up bus 35 to Abbeyhill / Cannongate for Holyrood Palace or, bus 22 for Leith Walk all the way to meet Princes Street. All in all an enjoyable break.
A. E.
Good Premier Inn with free parking although parking becomes full quite quickly so you need to get there early. Plugs by beds and adjoining Restaurant. Also just round the corner from a shopping centre which provides more dining options
P. T.
Modern very clean accommodation, helpful check in girl .
J. T.
Exactly what I expected from a Premier Inn. Really like the beds and extra pillows. Enough parking available.
Location of the room was a bit of a trek from reception, would have been nice to have a side entrance closer to the room.
S. G.
Unable to rate this hotel as I have never stayed there. But usually premier inns are good.
B. G.
Very nice setting beside the water I managed to have a room with a view of the water. Brewers fair pub attached to hotel nice choices on the menu plus different days have different offers on the menu. Adsa is very close by as well as a David Lloyds gym. The whole area has been quite even thought it's school holidays. Rooms are nice with tea and coffee making facilities. I don't think much to the heating system they have but it seems most hotels have the same system not worm enough for me, if to worm they have what I would call a state of the art fan. Over all this would be a great place to relax this has been my 2nd visit for the purpose of work in less than 3 weeks I would consider visiting again but for pleasure.
V. P.
Very Covid safe and clean, amazingly helpful staff - they really looked after our every need, nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful location along the riverside.
P. S.
Good place nice and quiet area too
P. P.
Not the best of the company’s properties in the city, or the most convenient, but positives include quiet location, adjacent family food pub, reasonably close 24 hour supermarket, and a very nice setting, with many rooms benefiting from a view across the estuary to Fife. Frequent bus services to/from the city, takes about 10-15 minutes.
M. D.
Always stay here when visiting Edinburgh.
Nice location with quiet surroundings and plenty of shops close by for food etc.
Bus link is close by and a 20 minute ride has you in the city centre.
Very easy to get to being slightly out of town.
Plenty of good free parking at the hotel as well.
Definitely recommend.
A. G.
Very clean and comfortable room. From it's location there's easy access into the city centre and onto Leith. Friendly and welcoming staff
H. G.
Great breakfast. Staff really enthusiastic. Maybe put two people on the hot breakfast section to speed it up. Also took ages to pay. Disappointing when in a rush up north
J. G.
I liked the hotel. As always clean comfortable well decorated and tidy rooms. Clean bathroom. Kettle in room. Bigish pub for food. I managed to watch an england game (pre world friendly) on one of the TVs in the bar.
G. N.
Nice place, good location.
Everything you'd expect in a Premier Inn delivered again.
L. B.
Great stay. Everything as it should be.
C. D.
If anybody is trying to find good deals on hotels visit HoteIRᴀven. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!
Pleasant setting on the harbour side. A decent fish restaurant and good chippy within a hundred yards plus of course the Premier Inn brewers fare pub. Clean hotel. Friendly staff. Free parking. Asda nearby. What more do you need?
I. R.
P. Inns are always a comfortable sleep. Real bonus having the fan in the room on a hot day.
P. a. J. C.
Clean, friendly and v good value. The breakfast was excellent.
There was an Asda very near by, which was useful (open 24/7).
M. B.
Staff helpful eventhough working under the rules of covid
R. Y.
I received everything I expected from the 2 night stay across Hogmanay. Staff were friendly, rooms were to good standard. Next to the sea. My only complaint is that my room is the furthest one away from the reception!
H. R.
We got very lucky and had a room over looking the estuary which made for a spectacular and private outlook. Great location where you can walk and Edinburgh and Leith, the new shopping centre is a good place to go for tea as the adjoining pub is to be desired.
S. D.
Convenient clean and comfortable really good value place to stay. Staff friendly and helpfull and I would stay again. Only criticism is the brewers fayre next door...not good.
M. S.
Normal premier inn experience. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Now with free 24hr wifi. In a pleasant, quiet location, with several good restaurants. Avoid city centre prices, but very accessible, frequent bus links to the rest of Leith and City centre.
J. M.
Excellent value, very clean rooms and comfortable beds. Staff extremely helpful.
C. C.
I have to say the friendly atmosphere and colleagues were great and especially Macaraina like the song she said so helpfull and pleasant we will definitely return to this premier Inn again.
M. C.
This was very clean and the staff were very friendly
L. W.
Great place for an over night stay. Bus connections to city centre, walking distance to ocean terminal and Royal Yacht Britannia. Comfy bed, good night sleep and helpful staff.
L. B.
Never disappoints.Excellent staff.Perfect location.
L. A.
Have stayed here on many occasions for family get togethers and leisure. Cant fault the accommodation, food and lovely staff. Highly recommend. Bus stop outside to take you to princess street.
V. T.
Good as ever, had to wear masks in corridor, but as soon as you got to your room can take it off, brewers farye right next door
J. S.
Great staff, changed my room with no fuss for a top floor room. Will definately go back, room was very clean
p. b.

Great staff view of the sea next to a bus stop and good food
S. w.
Clean comfortable, lucky enough to have a lovely view of the water. Breakfast was excellent and kept us going past lunch time.
H. C.
Loved our stay. Busses run regular right outside 10min from Edingbough. Rooms were spotless, bed was comfy, defiantly stay there again 👍
A. G.
Visited 9th to 11th August for the Tattoo and Fringe Festival. It's the 3rd time we've stayed in the hotel and once again, can't fault the hotel and would recommend the hotel to anyone. I would also like to thank Rhys on the front desk for all his help, he went above and beyond in helping us!!!
H. M.
Stayed here a few times. Nice location.
L. H.
Typical Premier In but in excellent location, and worth asking for a sea view. Clean and efficient, comfy bed etc. booked well in advance to gain value, not sure it would merit 4 stars at full rates though. Been twice, would return.
W. S.
Quick check in. Lovely room with bath and shower. Double bed and two singles. Breakfast at Brewers Fayre next door.
S. A.
A premier Inn, a big premier Inn. Not much else to say. Happy friendly staff, it's clean and does exactly what you expect
R. P.
Large room, comfy bed, full bath tub, and friendly staff. Located right on the water which made for a nice evening stroll. Bus stop was at the end of the driveway too!
P. M. M.
Great place to stay in Edinburgh with a vehicle. Few in town hotels have car parking. The bus to town goes from just across the street. The price is cheap and the ride into town is a good way to get a feel of the place.
T. T.
Not up to the same standard as other Premier inns we have stayed in. The area around the hotel was untidy with particularly around beefeater.
Staff very nice and helpful.
J. P. H.
Great location by the harbour. Comfy spacious room. Next door is a Brewers Fayre restaurant. Bus service stop near to hotel at the front.
M. E.
Awesome place . Very helpful staff. Had room 203 with a sky light was a huge room.lovely at night sleeping under the stars . Change my room with a sea view after day a beautiful room with a sea view.
F.
Very pleasant friendly staff.
Hotel very clean and covid friendly
N. M.
Great location for a premier inn with reasonable transfer times into Edinburgh Town Center for a low price, with a bus stop located directly outside the entrance. Number 10 buses are every 15 mins approx and take you directly into the town center of Edinburgh. Very recommended if you want to visit Edinburgh on a budget, and don't want to pay the privilege of staying in the main town center. The low price of this Premier Inn (and it's a good quality one) make the travel costs attractive.
D. V.
New premier inn. Helpful staff. Easy bus into Edinburgh. Good cafe near the bus stop if you don't want to eat at the Premier Inn grill.
D. H.
Good food nice staff larger glasses in fridge nice touch nothing really to complain about very nice position next to a little harbor and the sea. A few fish/seafood bar's restaurant's just outside
H. S.
Staff were friendly, room was spotless and beds very comfortable. Best nights sleep I've had in a while
j. h.

R. P.
Staff very friendly, helpful and followed covid guidelines
Room very clean
J. Y.
Excellent service plenty parking good food . Would recommend .
s. s.
Few problems but staff efficient and sorted them out. Shame vans were parked outside the room blocking the light. But all in all clean and comfortable.
M. K.
The Premier Inn in Leith is situated right on the Quayside near the LightHouse and the old town. It is an area of Edinburgh that has seen significant investment in the last twenty years and the effect of that really shows. Nearby is a mall where the QEII is birthed, shops and galleries and a wonderful stretch of the Firth of Fourth to walk along. There is also the Botanical Gardens in less than five minutes drive away.
The hotel itself benefits from a large chain determined to give a low cost alternative without hammering down the quality. In fact the quality is good, the hotel is clean, beds comfortable, on-site breakfast and evening meal are more than average and above all the staff are extremely helpful.
A great alternative to City Centre Edinburgh at about a third the cost in busy times.
Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the water.
L. L.
A short bus or taxi ride into Edinburgh centre 🤔
s. q.
Great place with great view staff was lovely apart from one but won't let one bad apple spoil the rest that done amazing job
S. G.
Great place to stay not far from the city centre, staff were amazing and polite would definitely book again
S. M.
Hotel nice clean with a brewers fayre next door. Food ok at reasonable price. All staff attentive. An asda is walking distance as an alternative for food snacks and supplies if needed.
I. D.
This was a fantastic place to stay. On the coast, good continental breakfast, children's soft play area, free wi-fi and very competitive pricing.
Y. C.
Not bad at all - friendly staff too. Nice Water Front view. Fantastic restaurant called Light House, just across the road.
M. K.
Fantastic location to base yourself if you've driven to Edinburgh. On site free parking. Bus to the city centre stops right outside the hotel, with a fifteen ish minute trip into the heart of the city. There's an Asda a five minute walk away if you need to top up on refreshments.
M. W.
Nice rooms & located near the Britannia exhibition. Also on a great bus route to princess street in Edinburgh centre. Good place to stay
M. H.
Located next to the sea. Great view from the room. Clean and tidy. Well decorated. Good customer service
a. h.
Enjoyed my stay other than the fact that I was put into a disabled room which I effected the shower in the room which are usually very good but this shower worked off the taps resulting on a loss of pressure
R. T.
Very happy with our stay last week, especially one member of staff, Kirsty, who went above and beyond to ensure our evening meal was enjoyed by all in our party.
P. H.
Very comfortable and quiet, no bar area in hotel so have to use Brewer's Fayre next door which closes at 11pm. Restaurants close by but not much else.
J. D.
Lovely hotel. Shame about the Brewers Fayre wanted a dry martini and lemonade and doesn't have martini. Also trying to eat and kids running round the restaurant playing rig.
A. M.
affordable place located in a beautiful pier area. a bit far away if you want to go sightseeing in the city centre. the staff is great and extremely attentive. recommended if you are on a budget.
J. B.
Perfectly good for what we needed. The hotel was great and very quiet. Our room was the furthest one away from the entrance.
g. p.
Good location and you are able to park your car there on the morning and get the bus to the city centre. Staff are very helpful

O. S.
As expected clean and tidy room, helpful staff good breakfast amazing location sea view room.

j. m.
Lovely setting, friendly staff, pub food in the evening, rooms overlooking the entrance can be noisy. Ask for a room with a view over the river.
s. q.
Nice place but room wasn't up to standards to other premier inns the bath was dirty( you could feel the dirt on bath the toilet wasn't very clean and around the sink was dirty.
S. R.

Will definitely return!
K. H.

D. W.
Had a great time staff allways making sure you had everything you needed thanks
R. S.
Clean and comfortable rooms. Slept well. Great breakfast. Its what you expect from a premier inn.
M. H.
It was nice and clean and staff we're friendly. Only complaint is that the restaurant was very dirty! Don't think the carpet had been cleaned in along time!
A. R.
Great location. Very comfy.
A. C.
Good service, rooms with view of harbour. Quite a way from the city centre but there is a bus stop just over the road (can take the bus to Princes St)
L. P.
Staff polite and helpful even when working under pressure. Hotel very clean. Beds very comfortable.
L. R.
Room was clean except for the toilet that was filthy with brown stains on the seat.
Also looked like it had been attempted to be cleaned with some pink cleaning fluid as the lid was pink from that , doesn't take much to change a toilet seat
D. H.
Great location for a stay in Edinburgh, easy walk to Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre and the cinema. Good transport links in to town. Nice walk in to Leith
M. P.
Nice, clean tidy hotel. Simple but effective. Lovely views out the room windows.
M. S.
Room service is great but one of the beds in the room I was located in you could feel the springs underneath the bed when you were lying. Great holiday though.
T. C.
Beautiful location on the waterfront. Friendly service. Clean/comfortable room. No complaints

Rather odd place with strange nonchalant staff, that I assumed worked there, looked like it might have been a half-way house, judging from some of the guests that came and went, didn't really feel comfortable from a safety aspect.
