Reviews of Premier Inn Edinburgh Park (Airport) hotel

With working around the country, the construction company we do subcontracting to always books premiers Inns for the lads who have travel to the jobs. I've never stopped in a better Premier Inn than this one. I've had at least one as good as this one but the location the Amenities & public transport are all really well served here. I don't think this will be my last time staying at this place. Staff were very friendly & helpful also.
A. S.
Best location , near to the airport, right next to the trams which was extremely handy! Rooms are nice and spacious, bed is comfy and showers are nice and clean. Staff were polite also and there is a Costa coffee inside so you can eat food there also. Lifts work nicely and quickly. We were allowed to leave our suitcase there in the last day and pick it up later!
M. W.
I had the best sleep ever and the rooms are nice.
I would not recommend having your meals, apart from breakfast, at the rstaurant. The food was awful and the service just as bad.
Breakfast was a self service buffet and the spread was impressive and delicious
S. M.
great place to stop prior to departure. Does what it says on the tin. Restaurant service was slow and waited more than 30 Minutes for drinks, took 20 minutes before order taken despite asking waiting staff multiple times. Got the tray of drinks myself from the bar in the end! Really let's the place down..... It wasn't busy!
G. W.
Comfortable room. Free parking during your stay. Convenient tram to airport and very frequent trains to city.
Disappointed with breakfast being cold, but they refunded the cost when I complained, so can't fault the commitment.
D. W.
Wow! This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Got a family room, beds very comfortable and rooms very nice and spacious. The hotel seems very new and it has some amazing, clean facilities. The position would have been quite isolated as this area of Edinburgh is kind of dull, however there is a train station right next to the hotel which provides quick, cheap and easy links into Edinburgh. The breakfast we had here was lovely, and well made. This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Thank you so much Premier Inn, you made our holiday so great!
J. W.
Absolutely great Premier, we’ve stayed here numerous times. However, on our last visit we noticed the restaurant is now a Thyme one and unfortunately the menu doesn’t have the same choice as before. So very disappointed definitely not the same excellent experience, thus rating down to 4 star!

When sailing the seven C's of hotels (clean, cheap, convenient, comfortable, covid compliant and catered) this hotel does it all.
Right by the tram station this decently priced hotel offers quick access to Edinburgh. It won't blow your mind, but that's not the point. I came for the rugby and this hotel was a good base and we were able to leave our car there and head off straight after.
N. G.
Great hotel, although booked last minute it had everything needed with the lounge area open with complimentary hot drinks. We parked and used the tram into and around Edinburgh.
S. M.
Great hotel, beds are amazing ! Breakfast really good & staff are very helpful, but other people staying there with children were terrible, running up & down all night ! Couldn't get to sleep ! Our fault, we should have rung down to reception & complained, but we love this hotel, & getting the tram into Edinburgh every day was easy
e. h.
Stayed in a family room, plenty of room even though there is 4 of us. Very clean hotel. The breakfast was buffet and we all thought it was great!
The best thing about this hotel is location. Even though we are not in the centre of the city, its so easy to travel too. Tram, train station and bus stop are literally on our doorstep. We caught the tram it takes around 10/15 mins to get to the centre.Parking on site too.
Thank you for a great stay.
A. G.
Stayed here for three nights in a family room, such good value for money! Best shower in a hotel, really comfy bed and really close to the train station and ten minute's to the centre of Edinburgh. The staff were really friendly and check in an check out was very quick.
S. E. A.
Rooms were just fine! I had some friends come visit one evening and seated at the lobby, one woman walks up to us asking why we were seated there and if we had any reservations. Just thought that was uncalled for. We wouldn't randomly walk into a hotel's lobby to chit chat.
N. J.
Nice premier inn and a very handy location for a short tram ride into Edinburgh or the airport.
Great shower and bed. Nice room. Good breakfast (if not a tad expensive)
Only negative points I found were WiFi was a little intermittent and rooms not cleaned each day, ( is it a hotel or Airbnb?) Lastly check in was a bit of a bun fight, I guess we arrived at a busy time but why have the self check in machines in front of the check in queue? No social distancing at all but we are requested to wear masks.
D. T.
Stayed 3 nights ideal situation for tram, trains, bus route. Restaurant/Pub 15mins walk. Rooms were spotless, helpful staff. Have stayed in area before but would highly recommend this venue if you want value for money and a peaceful night sleep. Shopping complex 10min walk

One of the better PI's... staff always helpful.
One point...
Don't forget to register your carparking... its on a self-serve screen next to check-in.
And easily missed....
For some reason none of the check-in staff remind you to do it... strange eh?
Would have hot 5stars if someone had reminded me...
This seems to be a common theme for PI when carparking must be registered... the more synical part of me may think its done on purpose....🤔
S. L.
It's a Premier Inn. Does what it says on the tin. However, this one is ideally located for the tram into Edinburgh city centre. Saves the hassle of driving and trying to find parking.
F. C.
It was not an expensive hotel but what we paid wasn't exactly cheap ... I would probably stay again but others are more suitable. I liked the tram outside the hotel, it takes you into the centre. Not much to say as it was mediocre.
H. R.
Really good location for the airport and to visit Edinburgh. Great rooms, really clean and modern. One of the nicest Premier Inns we've stayed in, especially liked the attached Costa.
F. T.
Visit this Premier Dec 20th staff were friendly and helpful give us good advice for trains to Edinburgh room excellent, location excellent ,didn't have breakfast but felt it was a bit pricey for us pensioners!!!.
J. G.
It's a Premier Inn, so you know what to expect. But great location by the Edinburgh by-pass, with the hotel adjacent to both train and tram stations making access to the city simple (takes 9-10 mins only on the train, currently £3.30 off-peak return). It's a recent build, so well insulated from any train noise too. Worth a visit of you're passing by Edinburgh and planning a visit.
M. M.
This was not our first stay at this Premier Inn. Its so handy for transport into Edinburgh. It was unfortunate during the first night someone was 'vaping' in their room and the hotel had to be evacuated. Staff were professional.
This was our fourth Premier Inn this holiday.
We use Premier Inns across the country.
I have to say that the staff here are the best most helpful of any we've stayed in. In particular Justina and Charlotte.
Thank you.
M. M.
Always a good experience at Premier Inn. Staff are always helpful and friendly. The restaurant has improved greatly and the quality of the meals is much better. Look forward to returning.
T. R.
Very friendly welcoming atmosphere clean rooms with tea/coffee . comfortable stay close to Edinburgh tram stop so convenient for shopping or playhouse in Edinburgh
K.
Great hotel very clean and perfect location ideally located on the tram and train line into Edinburgh (10 mins on tram). The hotel is quiet and the rooms are clean and comfortable with free parking. Will definately be visiting again when I visit the city.
A. B.
Premier very clean hotel with great service. Good selection for breakfast for the whole family. Loses a star for the mattress not being very comfortable.
A. F.
Great location, next to tram and train, 10 minutes ride into the city. Nice reasonably priced cafe restaurant plus free parking. Rooms always tidy and comfortable for a good price.
p. s.
Great value hotel with amazing transport links into Edinburgh City centre.
Staff were friendly and really helpful. Works always use even visiting the city.
P. B.
Clean, comfy room. Best beds in any hotel.
Good location, only 25 mins into Edinburgh centre.
G. A.
Overall very good. Would like to see more varied main meal menu, and proper toilet rolls, not just thin tissues. Excellent location for access to city. Staff all friendly and obliging.
L. S.
Perfectly placed to get the tram into the city. So easy, staff great, room great, food great, clean and tidy. We would stay again and for the price if your going to the city this is a much cheaper option even with the team price included for the overall total. It took us 5 minutes to get to the city on the tram.
K. F.
Free parking, excellent rail links into Edinburgh less than £10 return, with trains leaving every 10 mins, absolutely ideal for family city break
C.
Stayed here number of times never had a problem staff on the desk always friendly and helpful aswell as the staff in the restaurant. Clean and tidy rooms couldn't ask for more.
F. D.
Just back from a two night stay here. Lovely staff, great food and a clean and comfortable room. What more do you need? Have stayed here before the pandemic too, and they have adapted very well to all the rules and regulations they must now follow. Sad to hear from staff about some customers shouting at them - no one deserves that. Everyone is doing their best in difficult circumstances. Would recommend to anyone, and we will definitely be back. ❤️
S. L.
We booked a Premier Plus room, very nicely decorated and had a few extras including nespresso machine.
N. P.
Brilliant hotel, visited here for the Christmas markets can't wait to come back. Easy access to Edinburgh via Scot rail from edinburgh park
M. J.
It's a Premier Inn. It's relatively new and still looks new. Ideally located for parking up, and getting the tram into town. Good value, quiet rooms.
D. H.
Stayed here multiple times with no issues, staff have always been friendly and rooms as you’d expect. Free parking and only a short tram ride into Edinburgh.
M. F.
Great location, very handy for transport into Edinburgh City or the airport. Rooms very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great too.
A. B.
The only reason the hotel is getting a three star and not a five is because we had a bath that leaked so while I was in the bath my husband had to mop up the floor with towels and wring them out constantly , I was in the bath for ten mins it was a shambles, I had bought bath bombs from lush just to soak in the bath for a while as we have a shower at home so I was looking forward to a long soak in a bath , when we told them they apologized , but my night was ruined .
B. T.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, service in restaurant excellent, especially the young giril, Ruth, nothing was to much trouble. Premier should be proud that she works for them. Very professional
R. A.
Would definitely recommend if visiting Edinburgh. Just out of town with free parking, and a tram stop right outside which takes about 15 minutes to the centre. Would 100% stay again
A. M.
Great breakfast lovely clean room only issue was the heating was way to hot
A. S.
This hotel was my go to place when visiting Edinburgh, however on our last visit I walked into the room bathbomb in hand ready to run a bath only to open bathroom door to find a shower,no more bath,I was gutted, staff great food does not blow you away ,the bath thing means unfortunately I will not be staying here again 😪
J.
Disappointed a bit. Room was absolutely tiny. We payed for a family room and got a tiny room with two single beds squashed together there wasn’t even room to move! We expected to get one of the nice new Premier inn Rooms that we have at our local one, but got a half renovated room with a desk squashed in! Lobby is lovely and Costa is available but the room is awful, so small and cramped and tiny window - service is great and staff lovely but not impressed in the room one bit.
N. C.
Great place to stay. Easy parking and next to train and tram stop. 20 min on tram to city centre
S. S.
Excellent stay if heading to city for a day or 2. Tram is on the door step and every 7 mins .
I. C.
You know what you get with Permier Inn. Beside tram for easy access to centre. Only problem is prices change quickly eg £20 increase between looking in morning & booking in evening
L. C.
This Premier Inn was great! I loved how clean and tidy everything is. A bit of a queue to check in, but other than that i enjoyed my stay. The entrance is very confusing because it is at the other side of the car park- a bit odd but it's ok. Look forward to going again
K. M.
Always good service and perfectly placed to hop on the tram or train. The tram is a in ride into Edinburgh or to the airport.
K. L.
Great comfortable stay at the site, very handy bus route just out the door and right next to the train station and tram stop at the shopping centre. Hotel staff friendly and so we're the restaurant staff, comfy bed clean room and good food to go with it.
J. S. (.
Stay here one usual premium inn hotel, staff were excellent service thanx
T. B.
Stayed in a premium plus room and was really pleasantly surprised. All looks brandnew, brilliant to have nespresso in the room and the better WiFi. Hopefully more Premier Inns will get the plus rooms.
M. B.
A very convenient location and is close to bus stop/ railway station/ tramway. Also has a shopping complex and a Tesco at walking distance.
Reasonably priced with good facilities. What's not to like? Would definitely stay here again.
A. D. T.
Perfectly placed for Edinburgh Airport
A railway station next door so easy to get to Edinburgh without the need to drive
The hotel Looks relatively new clean and tidy throughout restaurant attached food was of good quality and reasonably priced
ideal hotel for an Edinburgh stay
D. R.
Slow checkin but otherwise good.
The bar stunk of roast meat though, the smoke hit your eyes as soon as you walked in and my clothes stank of it.
C. S.
Lovely spot, quiet, easy to reach transport links to city centre. Always a warm welcome here
l. w.
Perfect! Stayed one night for an evening in Edinburgh. The train station is across the street and only 5mins to waverley.
R. P.
We are very impressed with this Premier inn, super clean, in a very quiet area of Edinburgh. Staff ever so friendly and helpful. Speacial thank you to Angeles, top staff. Food has been great and plenty of selection and options. Will visit again.
C. F.
Great location to stay, close to the centre of Edinburgh, only 2 stops on the train, which is next to the hotel, the tram is also near, both 5 minutes, walk. I paid £3.30 for a day return. Bargain. Hotel staff are great, if you need your room cleaned ask at reception, for anything, due to COVID-19. Next to a retail park with tesco etc, only 10 minutes walk away. 👍
C. H.
Ideally located, a few minutes walk to train station, tram and bus service, only 10 minutes by train or tram to Edinburgh and a small shopping precinct across the road. . Modern, clean with a good restaurant and good food, friendly staff, one of the best and largest Premier Inns we have stayed in. Highly recommend.
P. N.
Handy place to take a bit strange...you can then hop onto the tram and get sustenance at 1 of the many places of refreshment in the capital city
N. D.
We stayed here for 7 nights in a family room, the room was spotless, hotel location is perfect, tram stop/train station is a 2 min walk from the hotel.shopping areas within walking distance as well. Staff was great as well. Will stay here again when back in edinburgh 100% !!!
J. T. t.
Hotel was perfect clean and friendly staff my inly issue was the meal I had it was cheeseburger and chips burger was smaller than a McDonald's burger and very small portion of chips not very good value at £11.99
G. C.
Nice hotel, perfect for trams or trains into the city centre.
M. M.
Brilliant place to stay good food in the morning and evening, lovely clean rooms very good TV and cheap 👍up from me, tram service right across the road 40 yards, up steps over bridge 12 minutes to Edinburgh £9.80 family return ticket brilliant
H. M.
Great location, Edinburgh Park train station just across the road (10 mins to Edinburgh Waverley).
Comfy beds, air conditioning excellent breakfast.
S. E.
Clean and tidy with a pleasent restaurant on the ground floor. Breakfast was excellent. The rooms were spotless and the staff friendly.
A. M.
Great location for easy access to the tram system. Only 15mins to the centre of Edinburgh.
N. W.
This was a great hotel with great rooms. The beds were really comfy and a great night sleep. Easy to get to by road or transport. The train/ tram station just a small walk so easy to get into Edinburgh. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really nice. Will stay here again.
I. P.
Disappointed this time putting down to pandemic it was noisy in corridors with kids running about the menu very limited. The location is great for team into city and breakfast is still the best.
C. B.
8 nights here. Lovely hotel. Great staff and great location for going into city. Food good too.
R. S.
Nice hotel with clean rooms and close to Rail/Tram stops
D. M.
We stayed in a Premier plus room, bit more space, tea and coffee facilities and fridge plus chocolate and complimentary drinks in the bar worth the same as the additional outlay for the room. I had the best night's sleep in a long time in the comfy mattress. Breakfast was a little disappointing, it's no longer buffet so I had hoped that the eggs wouldn't look and taste like they'd been around for a few hours but they did. Sausage was nice and bacon but tomatoes and mushrooms were tasteless. Overall though a good stay.
J. B.
During covid restrictions this place isn't as disabled friendly as designed. The doors by the car park are exit only and the walk round to the entrance is quite long. The building itself is well designed thoug, with wide corridors and flat ground floor.
C. W.
Lovely premier inn, great location as so convenient for getting tram into city centre. Not noisy comfy, clean rooms and nice staff, restaurant clean and good priced too
A. M.
A great place for a short stay. Food was good. Staff friendly.
R. P.
Very pleasant stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Super clean room.
We had a very peaceful and quiet room.
Breakfast was Ok. We had dinner only two nights and it was OK.
a. a.
Without a doubt, this branch of Premier Inn is top class. It's strategically located next to a train station, 2 minutes walk to super markets and buses literally stopping outside it's front gate.
It's a modern building with lovely design. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
Reception staff Charlotte was great. She was helpful, professional, pleasant and courteous.
Overall 5 * plus from me.
P. P.
Good check in, Good food, lots of space, all you need from a premier inn 😉
J. F.
Very friendly. Clean, great price family room for late stop on way south.
Right beside Edin Park station.
Breakfast not buffy but served at table. U16s ate free.
F. F.
An amazing hotel with a great night sleep guaranteed! Check in is fast, rooms were clean, great service, friendly staff and a very wide range of food for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner! The hotel is located next to the Tram and Rail station for easy access to the airport and city! Recommended for eager travellers!
L. D.
Amazing location for convenient tram into Edinburgh or airport. Lovely and clean room. Staff always on hand to help. Nice and quiet.
R. A.
Stayed by here a few times and love it. The beds are great I must admit.
However guys your pillows are not the best. Please get decent pillows and I'm sure it will help give your guests that snug comfortable sleep.
The rooms are clean and spacious.
Plenty parking at the hotel.
The tram line is right across the road. Up 1 flight of stairs. There is also a lift if that helps.
Please remember to purchase your tram tickets before getting on as if you don't they will charge you ten pounds.
The food in the hotel is well priced for dinners and drinks are average price as well.
Easy check in and departure. And the reception staff are well knowledge up to help guide on what ever you looking for.
Vending machines are on site as well. Plenty change required folks...
Worthwhile hotel and definitely recommend and we definitely go back. Though next time I'm taking my own pillow with me..
M. K.
Lovely clean and quiet hotel, with very helpful staff and nice food. Very good connection to town centre and airport. Tram and train station next to it.
D. F.
One of the things I like about Premier Inn is that they are consistent. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. This one was no exception. No frills and nothing fancy, but reliable and affordable.
It's situated right by the railway station and tram stop, so getting into the city centre is a dawdle and you can leave your car in the car park (which is free for residents). Staff were friendly and the breakfasts were up to the usual standard.
Only minor downpoint is that the in-house restaurant (Thyme) was a little limited in it's menu. The food was perfectly decent, but if you are there more than once or twice on your stay you might find it a bit restrictive. Not a massive issue as there are other eating options nearby, or eat in the city.
R. T.
Been here and stayed was peaceful and capm experience will do it all over again
C. G.
Lovely new building, clean and comfy rooms. 10min from the city centre. We stayed here during Hogmanay and it was so easy to get to and from the city on train or tram. The staff were so helpful and friendly, loved having a Costa coffee shop in the hotel so it was nice to have a proper coffee on the way out for the day. For a cheaper alternative to staying in the heart of the city, I highly recommend this place!
K. T.
We have stayed here twice now, both times with 2 kids (3 and 5). The location is ideal for us as we get the tram in to Edinburgh (every 6 minutes? And £3.20 for a return). We get to spend the day in Edinburgh and have an early return and wander around the shops across the way.
Breakfast is expensive for what it is, although the children eat for free with 1 premium breakfast it’s equals out by the time you add the free drinks.
The rooms are always clean and have everything you need. The kids can vouch for the cleanliness considering they were playing hide and seek under the beds.
Overall it’s a great, low price and clean hotel close to Edinburgh but far enough away to miss the business when needed.
Will definitely return and this will always be the hotel we choose first.
S. Y.
Stayed here a few times when visiting Edinburgh, a lot cheaper than staying in the city and free parking while you’re here. Rooms are always clean and staff very friendly. Ideally placed next to the tram stop and train station and very easy to get to from the motorways. Also the car park can be booked through ‘your parking space’ (online), not shown on the signs outside and works out a lot cheaper than the advertised company, ideal for when staying in the city.
M. G.
Great stay despite the current situation the staff make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive . The breakfast is table service and the restaurant team are 1st class and bring anything you want . The hotel is also close to the train and tram stops so it only takes 10-15 to city centre. Would stay here again .
S. M.
Great parking. Train tram or bus about 4 minutes from hotel 2 stops to princess Street.
W. A.
The Premier Inn Edinburgh Park is situated just a few tram stations away from Edinburgh Airport and half way to the city. A large parking lot for guests is there, several bus lines have stops and it takes just 3 minutes from the tram station to the hotel. A Tesco Superstore and different shops are nearby.
The rooms were clean and in a very good state, as we knew it from stays at other Premier Inn hotels. For one very special reason we will fondly remember our stay at this hotel. Within one week my wife an I stayed here two times. The room number on our first stay was exactly my date of birth, the room number on our second stay was my wife's date of birth. Was this coincidence, luck, karma? We don't know, but on our next stay in Edinburgh we will check in here again. And we are excited to see what room number we will have then!
D. L.
Very good staff werr very helpful as i have a disability walk with two crutches
N. M.
Overall stay was comfortable largely because location was fantastic. The Edinburgh Park rail station was next to it. Hospitality was average and some of the staff members were caring and some not. Quality of Breakfast was average and one has to pay extra for breakfast. The room which was given to me was spacious. Bus and Train Services were fantastic from this place. Tram station as well is 40 metres away and you can comfortably travel to all parts of the city.
A. B.
Hi so this one gets 4* its the food everything else spot on 1st the fish & chips greasey & rock hard batter. but you do get more batter than fish . The bread & butter omg microwaved to death & the butter had melted on my plate because it doesn't come separate . Next up the burger £12.95 now for tvat money i want quality snap it arrives with a spear coming out brioche bun bacon . Cheese . Beef pati .lettuce sauce . The base of the bun had discintigrated in half while the other half was harder than Mike tyson...microwave again & who builds a burger like that it went through me thinking i was paying hard earned money for that . Needles to say i was on to the waiter like a tramp on chips in the end no charge & did someone say justeat.
A.
Good position, next to train station, tram station and well connected with the airport. Fantastic staff that always went the extra mile during this crazy 'beast from the east' storm, hitting Scotland for days now. Nice, clean and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. This hotel misses the 5 stars on this review because the food served in the 'Thyme' hotel restaurant is consistently bad. Hop on a tram to the center and head to one of many great pubs.
A. C.
Lovely friendly staff, very clean place, comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. I was in a new part of the building which was quite noisy with the high winds that were blowing at the time of my stay, but would definitely stay again
E. M. H.
Great location for access to city and airport. Tram, train and buses all within 100m. Rooms very well maintained and comfortable. Bar with good choice and reasonable prices. Similarly the restaurant. Costa Coffee adjacent. Have stayed here several times and only thing I'm not too keen on is the air conditioning.
J. F.
Great service from linda and jenatte looked after jxp surfacing thank u very much .scoucers liverpool.
S. D. T.
Good selection and ever changing menu every now and then. A few months without dinning at the hotel and looking forward to skip the just-eat for a proper sit-down dinner.
B.
A very good hotel. Affordable prices. Simple restaurant menu.
M. W.
A great location and one of the best premier Inn hotels I have stayed in,
R. W.
Enjoyed my stay here. Convenient railway station opposite with good service to Edinburgh Waverley or Glasgow Queen St
J. I.
Great Premier Inn located next to the railway station and Tram stop. The location makes it ideal for visiting Edinburgh centre without having to use your car. £4 return in the train and it is a very frequent service and it’s only 2 stops. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant.
S. S.
Brilliant service friendly professional staff. Clean rooms great room service. Tram and train stops outside. Close to tesco. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Edinburgh.
B. G.
Best one in Edinburgh Airport area. Worth a stay.
M. R.
A good place to stay for one or two nights between flights, the staff is helpful and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.
The only down point is the quality of the breakfast that equates to a mass produced English breakfast with nothing really special.
D. P.
Premier Inn never lets you down. Comfortable beds.
Lovely buffet breakfast
A. C.
Conveniently placed for the airport and a tram ride away from city centre
L. T.
Good enough quality rooms but if you request the room to be cleaned each day, it is hit or miss if they do it or not.
A. C.
When we travel as a family, we often choose the Premier Inn over other hotels.
Situated a mere stones throw from the airport, didn't take long to pick up the hire car, get to the hotel and settle in. Room was spacious with a large king size bed and a single bed. TV in the room and the usual tea/coffee facilities. Room was relatively clean but the corners and the skirting boards are definitely overlooked, plus there was used chewing gum under the bed. Big downside for me, having survived a house fire as a child, was that the window did not open, completely sealed shut (room 120).
Restaurant was quiet but nearly everything that we selected from the menu was unavailable. Several diners did complain about this.
The staff are fantastic, very approachable, especially the morning crew, and not overly attentive. Had a sick 2yo and the staff couldn't do enough to help.
Tram stop right outside the hotel so for a few quid you can hop on and head to Edinburgh or Glasgow, and they are very frequent so you don't have to wait around.
Hermiston Gait and The Gyle, both just a short drive/walk away.
Great location.
C. W.
Hotel was absolutely clean and tidy staff were fantastic some could do with a smile and a good morning when you pass them but 95% of them are fantastic absolutely a pleasure to talk to yeah the restaurant was busy it does have signs over the hotel saying the restaurant will be busy book in advance which we did yeah you had to wait a bit for food only because the restaurant was busy no issues at all had When we checked in I did ask top floor but the explained when we arrived that your in room 9 but they will move us onto the 4th floor the following day which the day room 428 was our home for 2 weeks the room was great over looking the rail way and trams as well as the shopping centre the tram and train station are a 1 minute walk fantastic for a long train journey from London would I stay again to right I would well done all the staff I spoke with making me and my son feel so welcome all I have to say is the staff that didn’t smile or say good morning. Please train them but honestly fantastic stay week done Edinburgh park
C. B.
Quick check in, breakfast and evening meals were excellent and staff helpful. Room large and comfortable. Free coffee/tea near reception and also milk, tea, coffee and sugar for the room - there's never usually enough. Right next to tram station to city centre.
D. S.
Very nice rooms. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Right next to Edinburgh Park Rail and Tram Stations. Very convenient. Only a 10 minute ride to Waverley on the train and 10 minutes on the tram to the Airport.
E. B.
A lovely hotel situated in a good part of the city no matter how you traveled to Edinburgh. It has a large car park which is safe and secure, the hotel is also close to several amenities in the opposite retail park and a 5 minute tram journey to a nearby mall. It has great links to the rest of the city having trains, trams and buses stop outside the hotel or within a 5 minute walk of the hotel.
T. L.
Usual style premier Inn, this one has a really nice restaurant attached and the staff are as usual with premier Inn, friendly and helpful. I don't like how I can't open a tab and pay at the end of my stay like with pretty much every other hotel, cuts down receipts. The receptionist looked horrified when I asked. Still usual premier Inn standard.
D. M.
Dinner service was quick and the food was enjoyable. Our server Kerry (I think) was bright and cheerful throughout and made the dining experience more enjoyable. For what was a busy period she kept us up to date with times for food and also checked on each course without being intrusive.
M. F.
Lovely handy hotel for the airport. Very fresh and clean. Lovely staff.

I stayed here for one night with my husband and my 3 year old after a visit to the zoo. The hotel is in the middle of a business park and to be honest I didn't really expect much from it but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. We checked in smoothly and made our way to our room on the 1st floor which was a good size for the 3 of us and was nice and clean. We had included dinner and breakfast with our stay and the food was lovely and the waiting staff in the restaurant very attentive . I would not hesitate to stay there again.
J. N.
Excellent and friendly staff. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Ideally located 20 yards from the train station and tram system - it costs £3 and 4 minutes to get to the centre of Edinburgh. Dinner was excellent with a good choice and breakfast was great. Staff are friendly and organised. Book a table if you are staying for dinner as it does get busy. Stayed a number of times while working in Edinburgh and the quality was consistent.
B. V.
We are coming back to this same hotel for last 8 years and never fails. Great staff, cleanliness is at highest levels. Breakfast is always fresh and amazing.
f. h.
Very grateful to PI for being available to book for essential purposes during pandemic. Friendly staff; very clean rooms. Will come back for leisure when rules permit.
L. M.
Check in could be improved as was very slow as the automated machines were not working
R. M.
The staff were exceptional and went out of their way to help with a couple of requests. The hotel is a 5 minute drive from the airport and very reasonably priced. Parking is chargeable for non residents, make sure you get your ticket when you park or check in.
C. S.
I used to work in Edinburgh every so often so this Premier Inn holds a special place in my heart. Needless to say it's an absolute banger, comfortable rooms, very average food and good proximity to the trains, tram and local Pets at Home. You literally can't go wrong.
The only complaint which does not relate directly to the Premier Inn, is the presence of a Bernard Mathews factory nearby that periodically bathes the area in a terrible, almost tangible smell of what I can only presume is mashed Chicken being forced somewhere it was never designed to go at high speed.
E. D.
Superb location to the tram etc. Lovely staff however reception is automated at times which defeats the purpose of reception for me. Our room was in the new wing which was superb! We received a surprise gift in our room after a university interview which just made our stay. Again, lovely staff made the difference.
A. S.
Brilliant place to stay. So close to trams for taking a wee jaunt into Edinburgh. Would stay here again.
m. d.
Stayed at this hotel 3 times now n love it. Rooms lovely but some of the beds are so high you could do with a stool to get on it. It has a lovely restaurant and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
p. w.
Only stayed one night after flying in late with family. When we got to our room to try and sleep a child upstairs was running up n down and screaming at various times. I complained in the morning as we where meant to be in the quiet area. Good night guarantee wasnt given they just said you should have come down although we where knackered. Not great service!!
C. L.
Room good, very easy transport links with the train, tram or bus on the doorstep taking you into city centre. Only thing I can say was slightly disappointed with the breakfast. I've got to say thanks, as my daughter is a coeliac n helped us out during our stay,
R. H.
We stayed here with our 2 and 6 year old girls for a few days exploring Edinburgh. It is a perfect location. The hotel is clean, modern and comfortable with the air conditioning making the atmosphere in the rooms ideal.
The hotel is across the road from tram, train and bus stops making transport into the city centre very easy. We used the tram which cost less than £8 return for the 4 of us which we thought was excellent value. We noticed no noise from the train/ trams in our room.
We will visit Edinburgh again and will not waste any time trying to find a hotel nearer to the city centre.
I. B.
Easy check in, nice staff, great breakfast, no fuss, no problems. What you expect from the Premier Inn.
M.
Overall hotel is rly good, but the rooms are small
M. E.
Good Hotel with a nice restraunt. Helpful and friendly staff. Our only gripe is we stayed in a disabled room, when we had booked a double room and the tv was very small by today's 32" + standard size. Apart from that it was a good hotel and about 60% cheaper than than staying at the royal mile Premier Inn with free parking and train station right on the doorstep of the hotel. Will use it again.
S. B.
Absolutely fantastic premier inn and I have stayed in many. Convenient to shops, train station, Edinburgh. Hotel very modern, spotless clean, staff very friendly. I would definitely return here if I was coming back to Edinburgh and will highly recommend to others.
A. D.
I find Premier Inn hotels extremely comfortable always, this was too. The beds are very nice for a good night's sleep.
The only complaints I had are that the hotel was short on staff and it took almost 1 hours to get several despite having booked table and the internet is slow.
R. S.
Excellent value for money. Very modern, clean and comfortable. The hotel is located a short walk (around 2-4 minutes) away from the tram/train station. The tram is only 7 stops away from Edinburgh centre, and was a 20/25 minute journey.
V. O.
Perfect hotel for families and business people alike. We have been here twice and on both occasions, its accessibility to Edinburgh, its room quality and its good price makes it an excellent choice. It is 20 minutes via tram to the centre of Edinburgh. Tram line is only across the road.
M. C.
Great new premier Inn just off the ring road with nice friendly staff. Air conditioned quiet rooms, good internal bar/restaurant & Costa (day time only). Fall out of the front door to a new tram & rail station for access to Edinburgh Central & surrounds plus shopping & supplies close by.
M. M.
Stayed in the hotel for 2 days in christmas, it is very good and cheap hotel, the location might not be in the heart if the city but the train station is literally 30 seconds walk from the hotel and it take around 10 minutes to reach the heart of Edinburgh. Thought the bed and pillows are a little bit uncomfortable and there is no flip flops provided on booking.
L. B.
Rooms are comfortable and clean. Service is good and location is excellent as there is access to all modes of transport just outside the entrance. Would be nice to be able to open a window in the room for fresh air but there is an AC.
C. B.
Excellent accommodation, close to the airport, railway and trams. Only a short walk to Tesco, B and Q and other shops on the local retail park.
j. s.
I think that this is one of the best Premier Inns that I have stayed in. Right beside Edinburgh Park Station which as a disabled person is perfect. Has a tram into the city centre right near the hotel. Rooms are comfy, food is good, service is good and it's good value for the price.
p. s. l. y. g.
we stayed at this hotel last weekend and I would thoroughly recommend it. Spotless, welcoming, friendly staff and everything you need for an overnight stay .We had a wonderful breakfast . There was so much too choose from. Very convenient for train and trams. Great location for travelling to Waverley, only two stops on train. WE really hope to return soon for another visit.
C. M.
3 stars are for the staff. Friendly and made you feel very welcome. Rooms are getting a bit tired. Flaking paint and squeaking floor boards. Needs a decent chef. Medium steak came out well done and dry. Forgot ingredients on pizza and breakfast eggs were rubbery.
J. M.
A great place to unwind. Large room with quality fit out. It was quiet. The food was good and the staff very helpful. The hotel is right next the the rail and tram lines that take you right into the centre of Edinburgh.
M. A.
Wifi sucks even buying ultimate Wifi is not good.
K. B.
It's about 15 minutes from the city centre on the tram next to the hotel but much cheaper as a result. The hotel is fresh, clean and the food and drink are great in the Thyme restaurant. Exactly what you want from a Premier Inn with the added bonus of a Costa Coffee on-site
S. K.
Stayed here for 3 nights.Very comfortable room, friendly front office and housekeeping staff who is always ready to help. This place is very close to the tram and train station; just hop off the station and a minute walk to the hotel. It takes about 30 mins from Princes Street to this place by tram. There is a shopping centre just opposite the tram station where there is a Tesco and other stores. Very convenient to pick up water and food. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place to stay on their Edinburgh visit.
S. A.
Lovely hospitality, definitely would stay again
M. M.
Parking is on site and free. There seemed plenty of room even though it was busy. The important things were good. For example, the room was quiet, clean, comfortable and everything worked. The breakfast was also good. We didn't eat there because of other reviews that noted the restaurant is busy and fills up. Which was true and there were signs to that effect. I think that's because there is nothing obvious nearby but Google helped us out there and we made a good choice for cheap easily accessible food 15 minutes drive away. The only negative was when we checked in on the Friday afternoon. There were two staff at the counter and they ignored us for a far too long before acknowledging us. Then there was a lot of disinterested gum chewing whilst we got our keys. This could have been easily sorted by just saying hello saying they'd be with us in a minute and smiling a bit. To be fair I saw other people checking in with different staff and all the other staff were really friendly, as was our checkout so I think it was just these individuals. So, overall really good and easy to get into the centre or around Edinburgh with the train in just a few minutes or tram. Also, just 5 mi utes was is a shopping retail park with a large Tesco's as well as other stores.
S. A.
Lovely hotel, very clean. Comfy beds. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Easy travel links right outside into Edinburgh city by tram, bus or train!
J. E.
Decent hotel, but hit and miss with the TVs in the rooms - some of them have been fitted with the decent new standard large screen Samsungs, whereas others have tiny screens in them. Also, book the restaurant in advance or you'll have to wait a while.
K. L.
Room clean and as expected. Helpful staff, including in reception and bar/restaurant. Shame the wait for a table for dinner was so long (9th Jan - apparently there was a staff shortage) but once I had a table it was a great service from Abbie and others. Very attentive and hard working staff. A great location and free parking. Thank you all.
r. v.
I arrived at night and did notice the parking rules ,however next day staff was nice enough to put me through, so be AWARE you need to register your car or pay for the parking if you are no a guest of the hotel
C. B.
Easily found great receptionist very helpful and most welcoming
E. D.
Very efficient budget hotel. Restaurant is reasonably priced. Location is perfect on the Edinburgh tram line for easy access to city center and airport. Bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. Would stay here again.
G. C.
Very pleasant hotel situated in a handy location close to the Gyle shopping centre and tram/train stops. Staff polite, friendly and helpful. Hotel undergoing significant work on an extension but service unaffected. Will definitely stay here again, perhaps when down for another Scotland game.
j. d.
Great location, new and fresh looking hotel. Only downside was the onsite Costa wasn't open when it said it would be. Tram and trains easy to use to get to the main Street in Edinburgh and around £9 return for 2 adults and two children takes about 15/20mins. Would stay again. Didn't try the hotel food so can't comment. Plenty to choose from at the local foodhall in the shopping centre which was all ok.
R. N.
It's a Premier Inn, quite well located for a train into town, our office near the airport or a walk into Corstophine. I was there on a night the computer systems went down. Had to wait 40 minutes in foyer to get access to a room. Staff were nice but overwhelmed by the problem. I was glad I didn't arrive later when it got really busy. I think if it was another kind of hotel the desk staff may have offered us a drink in the bar whilst the problem was sorted. Don't take the computer systems at these place for granted is my takeaway.
E. C.
Good rooms free parking Good staff
G. F.
We stayed 3 nights, room and bathroom were immaculate , we had our evening meals in the restaurant ,which were well presented and value for money. We found all staff a delight and extremely helpful ,our only issue was we were on the 4th floor and had difficulty sleeping ,due to a loud humming noise , we thought it came from the roof area. Air conditioning and bathroom were not in operation so we couldn't work out where the noise was coming from .This is something the
management may wish to investigate. This Premier Inn couldn't be in a better place for transportation .A hop skip and a jump and you've the bus, train and tram , and they
all provide a frequent service to the city .
M. S.
An entirely adequate business/travel hotel. The restaurant tries hard, but gets very busy and there are very long waits for tables of up to an hour, which isn't ideal for tired, hungry travellers.
On the up side, the staff are very cheerful and very hard working, and manage to keep smiling through the challenges.
B. G.
Excellent service food and easy to get a tram to the airport or the town centre
R. Z.
Very clean and nice hotel. By tram or train or even bus. It's so convenient to get to city center Staff are friendly and helpful. Especially a nice receptionist Mariam(I guess). Very professional service. Breakfast is alright. Room size is ok. Shower is alright. If u r looking for good value and live in a premier inn. Also with convenient transport. This is the good one.
F. H.
It is a smart entrance, the rooms are the same as any other premier inn, the food is alright and the people are helpful. It's clean and also near a tram line which can take you to Edinburgh centre. Sort of like any other premier inn.
A. S.
Good accomodation consustently and convenient location next to tram stop. Food can be touch and go. Always problem with booking table to what appears imited kitchen capacity - relative long wait for not above average food... but that is optional to stay. Breakfasts are good.
R. B.
Great location next to Edinburgh park station with handy and frequent trains and trams into Edinburgh or the airport and a shopping centre next door.
When we were there work was being done on the hotel, such as putting in RFID keycards to replace the magnetic strip keycards, part of the hotel was in scaffolding and a building site next door. I hope it was that which caused the kitchen to be so small that you had to book a table and there was no bar meal option instead.
The room was pretty decent, breakfast was standard and pleasant enough.
I've never before encountered a check-in online process for a hotel. I did this and still there was a problem allocating the room to us (and to others) which was clearly down to the Russian sounding lady on the check-in desk who perhaps needed a training refresher that day but we were well looked after when this was pointed out to the manager.
R. H.
Fantastically placed for visiting Edinburgh and being outside the city. The venue is clean, smart, and - as per - the staff are lovely. Do book early as the venue seems popular with business travelers.
We stopped here for two nights and took the train in to Edinburgh. There's plenty of buses and a tram link too. On the other side of the station (Edinburgh Park), there's a large retail park. This has a Tesco store, which is handy should you forget anything.
There was building work going on when we visited in August 2017. This didn't affect our stay and by the look of things, they're extending the hotel.
R. P.
New hotel, excellent stay. Thanks.
R. T.
It was a nice greeting on arrival. Staff seemed generally happy except some of the restaurant staff. Room was used and you could tell. Windows don't open so you have to use the A/C for air flow but it wasn't the most reliable.
W. T.
The rooms are clean and well presented, the staff are always happy to help and are polite, the food is good, however some items are in need of a refresh, there is a main line station about thirty seconds away if you are looking to go into the city, there is a business park over the railway line, which is also very convenient. Overall a good experience.
F. C.
Good clean and comfortable room for our family with everything we needed for our overnight stay. Walking distance to the trams into central Edinburgh which is fantastic. Free parking is a bonus too.
M. W.
Love this premier inn as very handy location. Just off main motorway/bypass but right beside tram line and train station. Also 2 minutes walk from local retail park and 1 tram stop from one of the shopping centres Has free parking which is always a plus in Edinburgh, so works our much cheaper staying here and getting an all day ticket for the tram, which also let's you on the local buses, all for one price. Comfy beds with buffet breakfast where kids eat free with a paying adult. WiFi can be bit sluggish but you can pay for upgraded WiFi, though never had to do this! There is also a Costa coffee shop in the lobby.
M. H.
Lovely hotel located next to a tram stop giving us easy access to the city centre. Breakfast was good and staff were polite and friendly.
J. D.
Booked the premium room which was nice and with extras, the big let down for me was sound insulation. Every step from upstairs, even talking could be heard over the sound of the in room air conditioning.
R. S.
Pluses : good location close to the airport and 20 mins by tram to the center of the city. Great full breakfeast, nice dinner, helpful and kind staff in the restaurant.
Minuses : uncomfortable welcome by the staff at the reception on the day of arrival, cold and humidity in our room without the posibility to open the window and airconditioning produced only cold, we could not set it up to higher temperature.
S. B.
Clean, comfortable rooms that are very quiet in spite of proximity to airport and railway station. Top class buffet breakfast .... still stuffed and its now nearly lunchtime. Will definitely stay here again.
G. M.
4 members of staff stood round me and only one could check me in but was on phone so had to wait until I pointed this out and then I finally got served by a lovely member of staff.
Customer service seriously needs improving here guys.
Rooms very clean and exactly what I have come to expect from Premier Inn.
I. M.
very good option if you are visiting Edinburgh. It is on the ram line so you can sit in comfort as you are taken into the centre of Edinburgh, and stay in a quiet area out of town at a cheaper price.
The facility is clean, comfortable refreshingly what you would like to see anywhere you travel.
M. S.
Good location (2 minutes' walk from the train station) and great price. Perfect if you don't mind getting the train into town.
Room quality is what I'd expect from a premier inn - function over form, and it does this beautifully. A solid pick.
A. K.
Easy to find and park, with a good train connection into Edinburgh. Evening food was good for us, if a bit slow service. Breakfast not as good as it should have been. A bit noisy with creeking floors, but otherwise comfortable and what you would expect from a premier inn.
R. V.
Nothing to do in the hotel, but it was comfortable, I had air conditioning, a good shower and a comfortable bed so you get a good night sleep. Could do with being a bit cheaper as the novotel across the other side of the railway isnt much more expensive but has a swimming pool on site.
r.
Good clean premier inn with premier inn plus rooms
L. B.
Just stayed the one night, very good room had lovely bed. I paid extra for the breakfast and there is good selection for food and drinks.
The front desk staff were very helpful.
E. M.
I went for coffee at Costa as the trains were all disrupted and I had time to wait . Lovely friendly girl serving couldn't be more helpful thank you
S. M.
Nice room...Good breakfast handy train & tram into Edinburgh
A. S.
This hotel was of the quality everyone has come to expect from a premier Inn. The staff where friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was clean and of a high standard. As always the bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of on site parking.
R. T.
Standard Premier Inn offering - only real criticism is that there isn't always someone on the desk to welcome guests. There are self-service check-in machines but they can't go and find the iron/ironing board for you (not provided as standard in the rooms)! Showers are over quite narrow baths and I feel quite unsteady in there - more handles or texture in the base of the bath really needed.
R. D.
Easy and convenient place to stay
C. J.
I feel there is very little reason to write a review on chain hotels. It’s like writing a review on McDonalds.
Needless to say this Premier Inn was like every other Premier Inn. It delivered everything I expected including their ridiculously stingy 30 minutes of free internet.
Location wise however was good, and once the tram network opens will have easy access to the airport. They offer free parking, yet poorly designed, as for some reason they have decided to block all pedestrian access across the car park so you have to walk along the road.
My biggest gripe is the extractor fan in the bathroom was clogged, never been cleaned (though if you are a regular at Premier Inn's, this is typical across the group), along with the awkward placement of the liquid soap in the shower (right under the shower head so it sprays on it when you need to pump out soap (again seems to be a typical across the group).
One minor positive is that we arrived late on a Saturday Night (around 10:30pm) and wanted a drink before heading to bed. Unfortunately the bar was closing (i think we got there around 11pm). One of the bar staff was kind enough to pour us a drink before he closed for the night.
Otherwise if you need a place to sleep, Premier Inn offers all the basic comforts at reasonable (yet slightly high) price tag.
P. C.
Superb with train station right outside for train into city centre for a few quid
S. “. F.
Stayed here a number of times but this time for 3 days and gotta say best visit ever .. As per usual staff were really cheerful and good at their jobs and room as per spotless.. A great place to stay and great value and huge plus also a super easy place to travel to City centre of Edinburgh and the airport ... A very well run ship ... Cheers
d. d.
New hotel, usual P. Inn livery. Staff couldn't do enough for you, breakfast stunning. Links into the city brilliant. Rail, tram & bus right outside the door. Car park 2 mins away. We'll book this place again.
N. S.
Great value for visiting Edinburgh, tram stop 2 min walk
R.
Nice clean room, great location for getting into Edinburgh quickly by train. Nice atmosphere at hotel bar, friendly staff. Only downside was being woken on Saturday morning by unexplained knock on door.
M. D.
Overall experience is good, very good location from Edinburgh City centre and tramline 🚋 system, big hotel, clean, warm & inviting. Food is good but portion wasn't what I would of liked. Breakfast is great
M. S.
I have stayed in many hotels, and I can honestly say, the staff here are brilliant, so helpful and friendly. The hotel is immaculate. Food in restaurant is fantastic. Really can't fault the place
L. W.
Very comfortable, breakfast good. Ideal location as train station was just across the road making easy access to other parts of Edinburgh
A. S.
Good value for money , clean modern room. Staff friendly and helpful. Very good location for getting into town just a pity the trams didn't run a bit later.
G. H.
Very clean, very conveniently located for the airport and city centre and National Rail.Direct tram connection to airport and central Edinburgh. Friendly staff and great 😊 nights sleeps.
R. D.
OK, so this is pretty much 'the usual' Premier Inn experience, but sometimes it's nice to know what to expect. Liked the location just minutes walk from the tram service that gives such a frequent service to the airport and to the city centre
F. W.
Excellent location. Very clean and quiet. Waited a long time for food in the restaurant as they were understaffed but it was lovely when it finally arrived. The breakfast was excellent and good value with the kids go free offer.
G. C.
A good location to have this premier inn with the trains and transport links to the airport and the city. Nice friendly staff, spent 2 night on business, on both evening there was a longer than usual wait for the main course.
D. C.
Excellent location
Great location for a hotel. This hotel offers plenty of free parking for guests. The public transport options are great too. Regular bus services, Edinburgh teams and the train are right on the doorstep. Local taxis are just a few minutes away too.
20 minutes to or from the airport or to the city centre. Hermiston Gait retail park on the doorstep or the Gyle shopping centre just a 10 minute walk.
Close by you have krispy kreme donuts and a KFC.
One of the best hotels in the city.
J. D.
Good place to stay 15 minutes from centre with the tram stop and train station beside. Has a Costa coffee on site if you don't want to use the restaurant for breakfast.
R. L.
3rd time staying there, first class, great staff, very polite, professional and helpful. Couldn’t fault them at all even during these difficult times, Will certainly be back again and hopefully it won’t be too long👍😊
J. F.
From the moment I stepped foot in the hotel I felt welcomed. The room was clean and well equipped. I went down to the restaurant and the manager and other staff were clearly passionate about their service and the food was excellent. Looking forward to breakfast...
B. G.
Nice and friendly staff, at the moment the hotel is being extended but it doesn't interfere with the running of the hotel. Nice and relax place to stay it has a bar and restaurant.. the rooms are nice and clean with basic Wi-Fi in all rooms.
P. B.
As always with Premier Inn, good rooms with very comfy beds, friendly staff and a great breakfast spread.
The bar lounge was also a nice place to chill in.
D. A.
Good food and close to the airport
S. W.
Preferred hotel for business and pleasure trips to Edinburgh. Always welcoming and clean. Trams and trains on the door step for quick and easy travel into the city centre.
G. G.
Stayed in the Premier Plus rooms. Well worth the extra costs. Really nice Premier Inn and in a very quiet area
M. V.
Functional, nice rooms, beautiful breakfast
s. d.
Cosy hotel , a good night's sleep. Shops are a 5 minute walk away as are transport systems. Tram to City takes 15 minutes and trams run very regularly !
J. H.
Excellent had a good nights stay before going airport restaurant was very good got a meal deal 2 course meal with drink and breakfast decor lovely one of the nicest we have been too
Y.
Top class room and staff were amazing couldn't fault one single thing 👌
M.
Good rooms, ample parking and right across from trams to Edinburgh city. Brilliant if you're travelling to Edinburgh by car and will be heading to the city by public transport. It works.
A. G.
Visiting the Royal Highland Show and this hotel was a great location. Handy for getting into the city. Tram stop nearby. Spacious rooms and a good buffet breakfast.
K. M.
First time I've been to this hotel but regularly use premier inn because I know what to expect. Staff are always friendly and polite, rooms are always the same and the buffet breakfast always sets you up for the day
A. T.
Usual premier Inn, close the the Edinburgh Park Station.place is in the middle of nowhere it seems. Hotel is clean and modern. You know what you get with a Premier Inn and this does what it says on the tin! It has a Thyme restaurant and this appears to be a new Thyme menu.
J. H.
Really nice clean, modern hotel in a good location. Also free parking which helped and a short drive into the city centre. Just what we were looking for 😀
Z. A.
Nice premier inn, plenty of room, clean, great location to central Edinburgh just a few stops on the tram which is right across from the hotel
P. C.
Good place, A bit tough way when you come with private car, 1min walk to scotrail and tram station. easy to go downtown, very near supermaket.
better book first to dinner in restaurant.
A. M.
Different going back staff are so lovely and very polite.
B. T.
The hotel is amazingly easy to get to from the airport. One of the nicer premier Inn rooms I have stayed in. Staff are very welcoming, they very kindly kept my bag for me as I arrived way before check in.
A. F.
Got their own Costa, at side of tram, train and bus routes. Shopping centre down the road, out of town shopping 2 mins walk away. Great position for being close enough but not too close to city centre. Will choose this hotel again
R. F.
We went to see Premier Inn Edinburgh looks very nice. We had a meal which was tasty. We were only visiting. Very convenient to Tram and railway
K. P.
Excellent as always Premier Inn! Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had at a premier inn and the staff were very helpful.
H. L.
A lovely place to stay. Close to tram line for both the Airport and City. Very comfortable. Rooms very quiet and facilities very clean. Will stay here again.
J. L.
Perfectly located. Good parking. 50 yards from tram station to the centre of town. Friendly, quiet, good breakfast and Costa Coffee on site. Very good.
E. S.
Nice and friendly service and reception. Very clean. Will use again. Great value for money
j. g.
So handy for main line trains & trams. Right outside front door . Tram £3:40 return to princess st. Hotel serving good wholesome food & drink. Superb.
V. J.
Situates in a very convenient place near to tram line. Travelling to airport by tram is easy. Very nice and clean atmosphere around the hotel . Excellent service at the hotel.
S. K.
Been there few times to catch the flight the next morning. Close to the airport, and easy access to the downtown by tram. Love the breakfast buffet too
A. S.
Nice and clean. Car park is free. Bit out the way but the train is quick and cheap into town
B. C.
Great location for Edinburgh next to the tram stop from which you can be into Edinburgh in10/15 Min's also this hotel does have some of the most comfortable beds you will sleep in just like the AD says
Great time over all had by all.
M. F.
It's a Premier Inn, you know what you get at a Premier Inn and this one does Premier Inn very well. Nice atmosphere and the standard food is well prepared and presented. Clean and new it's right next to Edinburgh Park station and not much else.
S. K.
Glad I chose this place. Nice property, near tram and train. Easily reachable from airport by tram. Polite staff, good breakfast and dinner options. Strongly recommend this place.
m. s.
This is a nice modern hotel next to the train & tram station very convenient to get in town 20 minutes or airport 10 minutes. Has a small restaurant with decent options of food, a Costa coffee shop also a terrace outside. Across the road is Hermiston Gate a shopping centre with a big Tesco, Halford, TK max.
D. w.
Stayed in a very clean and comfortable room overnight on a business trip. Very helpful and pleasant staff.
D. H.
Really comfortable hotel outside city centre tram stop just outside the hotel takes 20 minutes to get to princess street.rooms clean and comfortable in house restaurant and bar what more do you need
S.
Writing this review whilst still a guest, great location for easy access to Edinburgh, lovely room and size, view...specially for our boys is great, looking out over the tram and the railway station...the Mountains in the distance...and a big thanks to the staff and especially the chambermaid service for a daily check on our room...Highy recommend.....
F.
Fairly new Premier Inn beside Edinburgh Park Tram & train stop...ideal to visit the city without taking the car all the way.
Interesting journey in the snow and a bit convoluted nearby among all the Financial Services Offices but good old satnav got us there. Perhaps some grit/salt in carpark would prevent falls on black ice?!!
J. S.
Well situated for getting into Edinburgh and airport. The room was clean but the staff wasn't as friendly as we've experienced at other premier hotels.
A. L.
Very well situation you can take the train to go tow Edinburgh. the bed was not very hard and you can fall asleep. Paid wifi but at least you can surf for free 30 minutes. The breakfast is not very good (not too much things) and maybe too expensive for the quality.
L. c.
Very clean place staff are friendly and welcoming
H. P.
Nice Premier Inn hotel near airport. We stayed there for one night, the nice guy at the reception help us to get another room, because we had booked a normal double instead of family double. Thank you!
N. M.
Meeting room was perfect. Plenty of toilets and within decent distance from the meeting rooms. Would recommend better signage to reception from the car park
j. a.
Great place to stay in a great location nothing but praise for this hotel
J. L.
I stay here every third week for three nights - have done for several years - the team here really look after you, and being on the tram line it is so handy for the work and airport!
C. C.
Excellent as always. We regularly stay here. Means we can have a glass of wine go to the theater and know we have a comfy bed to sleep in. :)
l. s.
Fast checkin. Room lovely. Right beside train tram and bus stops. Great for going into Edinburgh. Great value for money.staff really friendly and helpful xx
H. T.
Clean and staff are helpful. Very close to train and tramline so perfect for travelling from and you can't hear it through the hotel windows.
S. N.
Limited food options (5 items) for evening meal were disappointing, due to lockdown. But all other aspects were very good as usual.
P. R.
Nice and clean but have to book for breakfast, not able to book on the web when making reservation. Times slots offered on arrival 6.30 or 11.00
D. B.
Spend 6 nights here. The hotel & staff are very nice, but the rooms are a bit noisy. Had a bit trouble sleeping here because of the guests upstairs and doors slamming.
S. H.
hotel are pretty good, staff are very helpful and food are very nice. Even better, trains, bus and trams are next to this hotel. Perfect for me. :)
R. G.
Great hotel very convenient for access to Edinburgh city centre with tram services every 15 minutes. I stayed here over new years eve. 👍
I. R.
Functional hotel. Great location for Highland Show. On tram line and train line, near shopping centre. Windows not opening is a bit disturbing but aircon makes up for it. Reception slightly confusing.
C. D.
This is a superb Premier Inn. The staff are amazing, the facilities are spotless and the food is spectacular. Highly recommend this place.
F.
It's location was good near the tram, the family rooms are spacious and clean, service especially the breakfast one was very good, the recepion could be more friendly and smile to the visitors!
S. E.
Convenient for train, tram and buses into city centre. Has bar, restaurant and Costa coffee shop on site. Free parking. Comfortable rooms and friendly staff.
I. L.
Very handily placed hotel. Great links to the city centre with rail and tram links right on its doorstep. Currently has building works going but not too obtrusive.
S.
Quiet, comfortable, spacious room. Good location for tram to city centre and the Gyle. Staff helpful. Good Costa coffee
Nothing
C. D.
Had lovely stay in premier Inn Edinburgh park every thing was fab room hotel breakfast staff only one thing is no open windows as I am closterphobic if it wasn't for Aircon i think I would have left hotel but you do want to consider open window that's the only fault when we arrived at hotel there was a window open so I thought I was ok when I mentioned it to reception she said no windows open in hotel at all so I would consider open windows in some rooms
R. A.
Excellent customer service
Quiet relaxing always plenty of seatings especially outdoors
R. M.
The first time I've used an automated check-in. Excellent experience. Checkout was equally relaxing. The room was clean and quite. Pleasant stay.
M. S.
Walls are a little thin so it’s easy to hear from adjacent rooms and the corridor, and some of the plug sockets don’t seem too safe, but not too bad
M. S.
Second time here. Smaller rooms than usual in Premier Inn, new, clean, great shower. Short distance from airport.
D. H.
Friendly staff, lovely room, nice food, needs some substantial vegan options such as scrambled tofu and Fry's Vegetarian sausages for breakfast, other than that I can't complain. :)
k. c.
Great location for both train&tram into edinburgh. Nice modern hotel with large clean well appointed rooms. Good breakfast with a costa onsite.
D. B.
Nice rooms, fairly clean but not as clean as usual Premier Inn, team (apart from housekeeping lady) seemed disinterested and breakfast was poor compared to most
C. M.
Really good location. Though got woken up two mornings by housekeeping and the a/c is really loud. But besides that really clean and would stay again.
S. S.
stayed here last 3 years when visiting the Christmas markets it is perfectly positioned at a tram stop and is only a short ride into Princes Street
i. l.
A good hotel, 10 min. from Waverly Station, very pleasant staff, good variety in breakfast, very clean but i believe all the hotels in Edinburgh was very expensive.
S. A.
Comfortable hotel for short overnight stay ahead of early flight. Unfortunately, the restaurant service was poor. Didn't bring starter course and went straight to mains, which were wrong as well.
B. J. (.
Usual high standards, very clean, wonderful bed an be pillows. Very close to airport and well priced.
e.
Ideal location and 10 minutes to Waverley on the train every 30 minutes approximately and easy to get to from the bypass.
A. S.
Went to Costa there quite good. Too bad about the parking policy if you are not a guest need to pay 3 quid for a coffee. I usually walk there from the train station
L. D.
Best Premier Inn we have stayed at
J. F.
Was a very comfortable stay, and being right next to the train and tram station is a big benefit.
P. A.
Nice clean and tidy hotel, very convenient for airport and trains, good comfy bed. Free wifi a bit slow
s. m.
Great location. Tram, train and buses run regularly to the city centre and only a short walk away.
I. R.
Very nice place. Friendly staff, very clean and tidy. Quite close to train and tram station if you want to go somewhere.
A. P.
Stayed two nights and only the to sleep and eat breakfast. Both were good. Arruved very late due to delayed flight but still greeted with a smile.
L. W.
Staff were very friendly and rooms were spotless. The evening meal and the breakfast were very nice. Would easily stop again.
E. P.
Great location and extremely quiet, especially the fact that it is near the tram line. Would recommend and stay again without hesitation.

K. M.
Good location for Edinburgh airport and quick transport links to Edinburgh itself. Rooms are clean, comfortable and a good size.
B. M.
Went for drinks with colleagues after work, atmosphere was fine and drinks selection average. Drinks were not cleared from table in over an hour despite it being fairly quiet.
C. K.
Convenient location, right next to the Edinburgh Park train station. New facility, spacious room, comfortable bed, and huge bathtub.
O. W.
Bit pricey in the bar but to be expected. Nice .
L. M.
Out of town but friendly staff, comfy beds, clean rooms and excellently located next to train and tram station for easy and economical connections with the city centre, airport and other destinations
A. D.
If your using the prem plus rooms its a brilliant upgrade from the normal rooms
C. A.

A. F.
Lovely hotel and the staff were wonderful .

J. L.
Would have liked to been able to open window, rooms to stuffy
N.
I stayed here to visit Edinburgh city centre because it had frequent buses trains and trams and the breakfast is great and the rooms are clean but there was probably a family staying above my room because there was thudding and screaming that sounded like children running around late at night but it is not the hotels fault that the guests above me where going hyper
A. M.
Really good quality of rooms and service. Hotel is right outside of a train and tram stations, access to the city centre is really good.
L. M.
Great hotel great staff could br more helpful and good facilities and great meal deal
w. s.
The unlimited breakfast is great and you can eat as much as you desire. It has great beds and plenty of room and has every thing you need in the room
J. M.
Great room and a good location staff very nice and always there to help
J. T.
Easy to get to from city centre by train or tram, windows don't open and have to put the noisy air conditioner on which keeps you awake and wake up with a sore throat.
S.

K. M.

A. A.
Nice and clean.Handy from Edinburgh Airport
M. S.
Lovely place, nice to c wild rabbits in the car park and the fields
S. T.
Staff helpful and responsive. Having requested two rooms adjacent 117 and 119 were on separate corridors? A training opportunity me'thinks?
M. R.
Did not stay overnight , only spent one our in there Costa coffee as I waited for the Train , nice coffee Friendly staff and friendly atmosphere
A. R.
Same standard as would be expected from any other premier Inn. This one is ideal for visiting Edinburgh as it is just 20 meters away from a tram and train station going directly through Haymarket and into central Edinburgh and it costs just £3 for a return ticket.
P. B.
We had a great stay very clean trams service right outside and really cheap £4.00 for all day ticket defo be back
R. H.
Insanely comfortable room, professional staff, perfect temperature (air con!).
Thanks for the great stay, would love to stay again soon
A. O.
Ideal situation next to railway station, tram and bus stops. If you are familiar with Premier Inns you'll find this hotel very similar to the others.
S. Q.
Premier inn is always a pleasant stay. The station is literally a stones throw away. Tesco about 5 minute walk.
Z. A.
WiFi didn't work during our 2 day stay. Otherwise room, service and staff is good.
R. O.
It's a Premier Inn so you know exactly what you are getting. Friendly staff. Restaurant can be very busy - worth booking to be safe.
S. B.
Nice rooms and great breakfast. Well located immediately next to the train station and tram
D. M.
Good value for money with a relaxing atmosphere. Don't give them your email address though because you will be bombarded with promos.
A. C.
Really great breakfast and as expected general quality but the bed a bit too squishy and narrow (unusually).
P. A.
Good food and easy access to city using the tram ( every 7 minutes - all day ticket £6 )
m. m. k.

G. B.
Just excellent, tram and train straight outside, great staff
T. J.
I was on tour for 31 days, and this was the best hotel I stayed in.
D. S.
Hotel good but getting there is dreadful
Need to think about postcode Vs entrance. As postcode won't get you in the building but will get you fined for going down a bus lane
D. W.
Very good for where we wanted to be. Great for our trip into Edinburgh. Very comfortable and very quiet.
J. I.
Excellent, helpful staff and easy access to the tram for either the airport or Edinburgh.
