Reviews of Bellahouston Park
C. K.
It's a lovely park but such a shame it's not kept cleaner. Lovely views from the top of the small mound in the middle. Perfect for dog walks.
There's a play park and it's ok, however we've found there's lots of rubbish, including broken glass every time we go. Such a shame as it really is a nice park.
A. S.
The Bellahouston Park - very nice and friendly place for everyone. If you're looking for peace and relaxation, you will find a quiet corner on a hill with benches and a beautiful view of the city panorama. For children, a large playground behind the sports center.
J.
Lovely park. Attended for Green day and there was plenty of space with 3 exits. There's also a kids play area and a designated dog park. Grass wasn't boggy, there's plastic underlay to help with heavy rain/boddy-ness
C. D.
Only been here for a couple of gigs. Had a great time! First time we went to see The Cure, one of the best bands I've seen live. Then Foo Fighters the next night, just as well I wore my wellies. lol.
Then seen Greenday last year, the queues for the drinks were unbelievably busy and very limited drinks. The T-shirt stand was cash only which is weird since most places only take card now, so I missed out on buying a t-shirt.
A. G.
walking in this park always relaxes me. and it is very clean
R. S.
Giving it five stars for the elephant and the dodgy sculptors lol
c.
Easy to access by public transport and car with a few car parks around Bellahouston. You'll fins a leisure centre, some sculptures, a walled flower garden, house for an art lover and a few cafes (house for an art lover vafe is lovely but with ecceptionally slow and disorganised service). There's a dog park with high fences and a double kissing gate to keep them safely in. There's well maintained paths and forested areas as well as open field space. Unfortunately there is always a lot of litter and broken glass and not all dog walkers are responsible so if you're looking for a park to picnic in- keep looking! But if you want to go for a jog or let the kids gain confidence k their bikes its a great choice. At the moment there are some flooded, boggy areas due to ongoing water works (expected to go until 2023 according to a grounds maintenance person but that seems unlikely...)
C. B.
Brilliant place. Was here for the Green Day gig and it was superb. Only let down was the bars were mental busy and wait times seemed like they took forever.
Done amazing work on the grounds though as I was expecting it to be muddy with all the rain we had but it was fine.
S. H.
Great gig (Green Day & Fall Out Boy) the park was really well configured to support the event. Clean, simple to find where I was going, well organised. Great venue, amazing event.
M. R. S.
Great park in Glasgow. Will see people running and training in this park. Near Glasgow Life sports and badminton facilities. Good place to look after your mental and physical health. The park is also dog friendly
C. M.
I was at the front steps of the Palace of Art, however, I was really looking for A House for an Art Lover. I have a friend who has a pottery piece in an exhibition there. But House for an Art Lover is deep in the park and I was myself, and there appeared to be works in the park, so I decided to opt for the nearest bus stop and get a Paisley bus.
N. T.
Oasis in the middle of Glasgow. Plenty to see and interesting plants too. House for an Art Lover in the grounds worth a visit to see Charles Rennie Mackintosh's brilliant design only built at the end of the 20th century.
j. f.
Looks like a winter wonderland in he freeze. Fab outdoor art works around the House for an art lover.
I. K.
Such a great park, lots of space to do walking, love the garden, bit, flowers in it are absolutely gorgeous and its so well kept, just wish there were more toilets in the park tho
a. s.
Very nice place to visit.
Almost all kind of activities are available here.
A very good cycling track.
Children park/play area has bit less things to play, like marry go round, or big slides but still goo.
W. D.
Nice varied park, sadly no water features (unless you count rain). Walk round it in 30 minutes.
P. H.
Great park was there for a running event. The park was well set out and maintained
A. G.
Love Bellahouston Park! Great big play park... lovely walks and gardens. Forgot a pic of the elephant though! The play park is fab for all ages
S. J.
Good park for all the family, lot of respectful dog owners and plenty for the kids
m.
The park of my youth. This is a great park, well tended and with lots to see. The House for Art Lovers is the major thing, plus lots of less well know sculptures and monuments dotted around.
J. R.
Great open space right in the middle of the south side of Glasgow. Has a running bicycle track all newly done Sports Centre lots of AstroTurf parks for football a pavilion that does lots for kids Boxing,Karate,Judo and other martial arts. Or if you want a piece full walk you can walk from the paisley Rd west side over the tree topped hill to Mosspark Boulevard.....Lucky for me it’s my front Garden 😉
L. A.
It was freezing cold and raining and we still had fun. The best thing about the play park is the space to run. The twist climbing frame, the Viking house, the wooden arch, alien space ship slide and zip slide (and more) are spread across a grassy hillside. It can get a little muddy in places but it's just wonderful to run around and a perfect place for hide and seek. When it got too cold we went to the House of an Art Lover cafe for excellent cake and scones. It also has an outside sitting area for those smart enough to go on a sunny day.
C. G.
Unsure as it was like a demolition site. Went to collect a trailer of alcohol following the late cancellation of RHCP concert due to covid.
M. R.
This is a fun friendly park with flat areas and a hill to walk up. There is a free outdoor fitness equipment area, a gym with swimming pool, the cycle track, a cricket ground, the walled garden has beautiful flowers and benches to enjoy the sun. It is a fantastic space indeed.
There are lots of dog walkers who are friendly too, and the various fitness groups and runners. A park with lots to do. Parking is free and if you fancy a bit of skiing there is a ski slope and for those who love art, the House of the Art Lover resides here too. Mazes, children's playgrounds and make sure you see the elephant too. If you find the tea chests (art installation) have a little read of some of Glasgows history. It is fantastic. So there, I think I have sold it enough. Enjoy it and say hi.
G.
Was here for a gig and it was a great venue! There were plenty of toilets and bars so you didn't have to que too long and while at first I thought it was odd that the stage was set up against the longest part of the park, instead of towards the back, this worked really well as it made in front of the stage huge and meant it didn't seem that crushed.
Also, first time in Glasgow and it was mint! Really enjoyed it!
H. M.
We have yet to make our way the whole way round but so far we have had a wonderful time. Lots to do and lots to see and the wee one had a blast playing and looking for bees. Cannot wait to revisit.
M. N.
Great location for a festival but the field needs better drainage. We were there for the summer session, watching the cure. Whilst the music was great the 30 minute queues for 6quid a pint beer wasn't same with the toilets. Was only one heavy shower but the field was a bog, ankle deep mud on all main walk routes.
T. A. B.
Great big park with plenty of green open spaces, wooded areas, hills (some of which are quite big), a gym, a swimming massive pool with a hot tub that massages you with bubbles, and a great big water slide, a racing track for bikes, a maze, two kids play area, and a few smaller fenced in places where you can safely let your dog off.
There is also great access to several fast food places from chip shops to KFC, and a massive Asda only 15-20 minutes away by foot.
The park also has small art palace which was made for the 1938 Empire Exhibition held in the park, along an unrelated skiing course, and many other great activities.
There are also quite a few statues, monuments, and art pieces displayed around the park. This is a park with a real history and character to it. Not the best Glasgow has to offer, but one of its many hidden gems.
This one really feels like several sizeable parks all rolled into one. There’s a little something here for everyone no matter who you are, whether your interested sports like skiing, swimming, racing, want to take the kids for a day out, or are simply looking for a quiet place to read a books.
The whole park is open, little to nothing is sectioned off, but everything seems to fit into its own little niche.
L. m.
Beautiful park 👌🏼
K. L.
Lovely play park. Great for toddlers. Exciting large elephant on the grass which can be explored and touched. Quirky attractive play park with something for all ages. We finished off with lunch and teas at House for an Art Lover. Friendly efficient service. Good menu. Comfortable, calm, child friendly environment. Interesting gift shop too. Recommended.
C. &. J.
Not the most ornate or elaborate garden we've ever visited, but expertly maintained, and with all of the benches around the garden's edge, this is a quiet, serene space to sit and while away the day. The trash scattered about and even a pizza box glued??? to one of the benches was unfortunate.
R. P.
Good park for a walk. Not much in the way of facilities. Food outlets could be imprived. Nothing apart from House for an Art lover or possibly Palace of Art both very close to each other. Other side ofvthe park has nothing
S. B.
Lovely walk, although some of the cyclist are too fast voming around bends down hill, nearly had collision and I was walking!
C. C.
It was good to walk in everything good small play area outside the swimming for the children and good football pitch aswell just wish there was more things in park there isn't enough for kids to do in park anymore some parks somethings new but not much
K. m.
Great park. A wide variety of things for family's of all ages. Well worth a visit and seeing for yourself.
J. S. b.
I've wandered and cycled through the park, but it never fails to impress me with the number of facilities within the park gates.
There are two sports facilities, indoor and outdoor, a running /cycling track, dry ski slope, venue for open air concerts, the House for an Art Lover, council nurseries (plants) and a fairly new hospice with a very good cafe. All within the park gates.
Ps. Two Popes have preached there as well.
T. V.
Lovely big park well kept, dog friendly. You can also wander around the grounds of the delightful Hiuse for an Art Lover.
V.
It's a beautiful lush green park with woods and a walking trail. Glaswegians are lucky to be surrounded by mother nature. It's also a dog friendly place and a perfect place for children to run around or play in the play area or simply go on a walking trail. The tall dense trees in very few meters provide shelter from the rain and on sunny days perfect place to have picnics.
A. M.
Lovely open park - good for walking dog / cycling / cricket / football - has house Charles Rennie Mackintosh built House for an Art Lover - well worth the visit & lovely tea room. Do not miss the video documenting the 1930's expo held in Bellahouston Park - near the Rennie Mackintosh house.
M. I.
Beautiful park, but no public toilets found and no coffee points. No playgrounds.
C. C.
Walked round the gardens then had lunch which was delicious then walked through the park
S. B.
Good big park for kids, taking the dog a walk, or just a leisurely time yourself
P. D.
Visited Belahouston Park to go to the House for Art Lovers. The house itself was fabulous so were the staff. We arrived just befor 12 and literally had the house to ourselves which was a big bonus. There is a lift to upper floors and public toilets. The restaurant was nice but we managed to get a table outside. We had an booked an hour before as we were told it was popular and it was. The food was lovely and service good. Servers were completely lovely.
Afterwards we had a wander around the grounds and whilst they were lovely and enjoyed the sculptures we were saddened at the amount of litter and graffiti on the sculptures.
N. M.
I attend and volunteer in a special walled garden within Bellahouston park opposite the dry ski slope and I really love the place but you need referred to that particular walled garden from one of roughly 10 charities. There is another public walled garden before the dry ski slope on the same side as it which is nicely kept. The house for an Art Lover is a house designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, they do tours and have a cafe, it's nice. There is a hospice withing the park too opposite the ski slope which is very welcoming and has an awesome cafe!
The Palace of Art is actually a sports centre and there is another sports centre with Swimming pool etc too, it's ran by Glasgow Club. The park is big and used for music events throughout the year.
S. M.
Lovely park with wonderful gardens, a good play park for the kids, loads of paths for flat or hilly & more challenging walks with beautiful views from the top.
Great food at the Art Lovers Cafe in Charles Rennie Macintosh’s House for an art Lover. Plus Bellahouston Park has a really interesting history… worth easing up on before you visit.
S. M.
Lovely park no matter what the weather
H. F.
Great space . Pity in glasgow you always find litter and dog poo .... we should be ashamed. Its time we cleaned up glasgow!!
D. S.
Great park of a walk with the children and great facilities
G.
Great place for a walk 👍😉
L. G.
Great place for kids 3 swingparks in total and good for runners always busy... 😁
F.
Parked at House for an Artlover and was really trying to see where the railway line was as a Steam train was passing through today. We (my grandson & I) walked round the house & he was delighted to see "A giant's foot" then a life size elephant! Then he saw the play park....all in all a great visit!
L. &. L.
Cricket Game at BellaHouston park on a sunny Saturday ,love it , beautiful park
M. M.
Lovely walk, great park for dog walking, cycling, jogging/ running, enjoying outdoor activities- there was a Zumba class happening, high fenced area so dogs can be let off lead in a safe environment. Tidy manicured gardens, lots of seating areas and fresh air. Casual chatting with other dog users. Something for everyone to do and share the space.
A. D.
Great to get a decent walk up and down hills when not raining
G. R.
It's smashing big park with a hill and forest in the middle Great panoramic views of the city. Item of modern art are throughout the park, including the exquisite House of an Art Lover and adjacent walled garden
r. C.
Was there for a gig but lack of Internet coverage meant our tickets wouldn't work without hassle and some of the shops couldn't take card, dissapointing when the gig was promoted as cashless. Very impressed with the park though, ground was solid despite days of rain prior to the event due to the ground reinforcement works
C. K.
I went to the hospice for a memorial day for my son and had a lovely lunch.the hospice is open to the public to use the cafe and is dog friendly. Beautiful place to visit and rooms can be hired for private dining .staff are all very helpful and friendly 🙂
E. C.
I was very hesitant about a concert here but there's PLENTY of space and you never feel too crowded (unless you're in the front row of course). BEWARE THOUGH: When I was there, there were so many people at the concert (FOB/GREENDAY/WEEZER) the EE cell towers were unable to handle the traffic so they all went down. But overall a great and safe venue.
J. R.
Came here for Green Day and it was amazing. Plenty of space despite there being so many people and even though it had rained all day prior it wasn’t muddy at all.
J. H. T.
I am daily walker there, nice, maintained and peaceful environment.
B. M.
Family friendly cycle circuit used by all.Lots of space in Park for walking etc
S. L. V. (.
This was one of the nicest venues I have been to for a large concert. We attended the Hella Mega gig and the security were all very friendly and kind and when my friend passed out on the barrier, they lifted her out, fed her chocolate and made sure she was ok and RETURNED HER TO HER SPOT - which is unheard of!! Had an amazing time and would absolutely come back.
J. B.
Great venue for live bands. Summer sessions even was well organised and respectful of the area.
G. H.
Great concert venue setup. Good organization, great bathrooms and vendors, putting American venues to shame. Had a blast, wonderful time, great show.
V. T.
Very pretty in the winter, and lot of fun.
J. B.

M. F.
First time shooting in Glasgow for some months and it was a delight! Bellahouston Park is amazing. It surrounds possibly one of our new favourite weddings and conference venues House For An Art Lover. Beautiful!!! Our bride and groom had the best time at the wee playpark.
M. a.
Lovely place to go for maybe a wee bit of reflection
H. B.
Beautiful park, great for a walk
K. S.
Went to see The Cure here. Toilets were good but the ground got very muddy (understandable for all the rain we had)
F. C.
Bellahouston park has been neglected over the last couple of years with COVID, the gardens have been neglected as is the maze, hopefully it won't be to long to get back to where it should be, it has a very good play area for children.
c. w.

Grew up walking round this park daily, it’s good to stretch the legs but could do with a bit of funding to change some things
m. x.
It's okay it was nice but the staff at the café were rude
S. R.
Went here for the Eminem gig. A great venue for live music. Obviously wet and muddy, but that's to be expected. Plenty toilets and food and drink outlets.
M. S.
It's a very nice and peaceful park. You can do what ever you would like to do. Have a training or just a nice walk after your dinner. Lots of sports activities. !!!

Hella Mega tour Glasgow- all bands were brilliant especially Weezer, Fall out Boy and Green day. Waited two years for this tour and 5 years to see Green day we worth the wait and venue was well planned and organised
C. A.
Lovely park for a lunchtime walk 🌳
S. M.
Always beautiful and endlessly fascinating with the sense of a history that's gone without a trace.
Great for dog walks and friendly chats!
M. D.
Was at Green Day gig and as long as weather stays dry it's a fantastic venue for a large event like this.
I. S.
Very nice park for a walk.
I. G.
Fantastic outdoor space and leisure facilities
P. M.
Beautiful location for an event, but it was spoiled a little by taxis cancelling because they’d gone to the wrong part of the park.
S. D.
Great place for a wonder. Great sporting facilities available and the park itself has loads to offer.
p. p.
Lovely walks, maze needs fixing.
E. Š.
A great park for a walk. Has a dog park and playground located within as well as an outdoor gym. Nice place for a family day out or a romantic picnic.

Saw the hellah mega tour and it was insanely busy but awesome
•.
It was great seen some people absolutely mwi it was hilarious
F. D.
Lots to do and see Sculptures and House for an Art Lover. Walled garden.
I. G.
Great park, lots of different paths and areas to explore, relatively well maintained. There is an extensive playground but I've docked one star because a couple of bits of equipment are broken which is a bit of a disappointment but given the volume of kids that play on it it's no real surprise. My favourite parts are the walled garden and the long avenue up to the elephant sculpture. Enjoy!
C. M.
Nice place in the summer when we get the weather great for a walk and it's also a place to relax
S. D.
Best place for exercise value for money place just 27GBP per month it includes gym swiming squash and badminton. If you want to get guest just need to inform them in advance so that they would allow n its free, per day if you want it would cost 3 GBP. Its best for kids and adults too to maintain fitness even you costume for swiming and gym too.
l. b.
Didn't see much of it because there only for a concert but looked nice what I seen
S. W.
It's a park, nothing more to it function wise. During the day it is a hive of activity from joggers to dog walkers. At night it's all junkies and 14 year olds who try to knife you if you don't go buy a pack of smokes for em... typical glesga!
A. B.
Excellent
D. M.
Great park and ski centre

D. A.
Grandson enjoyed the park immensely
N. O.
Spectacular place of sports and fun
J. H.
A lovely park. Some of Glasgow's heritage here is The House for an Art Lover CR Mackintosh. Nice cafe and Shop. Museum. Lots of people visit the Walled garden, and the Walled garden is special when the flowers are in full bloom.
G. W.
Good place for a short stroll around a green space with a wee hill with some mildly interesting ruins. There is a good smooth training track for cycling, skating etc and a wee outdoor gym. There is the snow centre and House for an Art Lover and a sports centre all bordering the park. Only lost a star as their were a couple of dodgy looking lads and a random fire that had been set in said ruins.
N. S.
Went visit Prince and Princess of Wales Hopice contained within this beautiful park.
G.
Massive park great for families
A. A.
Original flavours - mix grill must be tried

J. d.
Great Park and a great closed off section to walk your dogs i highly recommend going to it.
S. H.
Amazing place for passing time with family and friends and kids as well
R. L.
Really pleasant park and much bigger that it looks. House for an Art Lover is worth a visit. Litter picking and bin collection was a bit lacking around the place during our visit which was a shame.
J. S.
Good fun at play park

Watched The Cure.... one of the best managed events ever. We were blessed as the sun shone too. @summersessions thank you x
M. A.
Really good night with hella mega concert. Had no issues getting in or out
T. C.
Very large park but mostly taken up with wide open spaces good for playing sports, hosting concerts, but other wise of little interest. Some more intimate walks at the top of the hill and historical interest as site of the empire exhibition of 1938. A few remnants remain but park also has the house of an art lover and the artificial ski slope.
J. M.
Went there for the Hella Mega Tour was Amazing
C. B.
Lovely park with nice walks and gardens. House for an Art Lover on the grounds which is great for food and coffee. Dry ski slope there too - fun to watch even if you're not trying it out yourself.
I. B.
Went to Green Day, Weezer, FOB gig, canny place, well organised.

Another beutifull place in glasgow within the city boundry
a. C.
Good for long walks
E. S.
Good for walking snd dogs.
D. M.
Was a wet windy day but that did not spoil the day. What I would say is the sign posting for car parks could be clearer.
J.
Wonderful 400m track, lots of cyclists. Parents should make their kids wear helmets on it though, as I've seen a few close calls. Rest of the park is nice too, but can't say I've seen much of it!
v.
I love taking my kids to this park my nearly 2 year old loves it theres an actual swing park but I prefer to just sit on the bench at the grass as it's so much quieter. Theres loads of benches so adults can also enjoy sitting and chilling.
G. G.
Love taking my dog here, it does have a off lead section but after a bad experience with another dog I don't go in there anymore with my dog. Has plenty of pathways so great for cycling walking wheelchair users.
R. H.
Great wee park. Love the special dog park within the park so my disobedient pooch can run off some of that energy without chasing every jogger and cyclist that comes by.
G. C.
Basic but useful. There to sell at fair
C. S.
Lovely park especially on a day like today. Just right for a nice walk round.
M. J.
Stunning
Pity about the upcoming removal of the cherry trees for the water pipes.
K. M.
Beautiful place and short walk away is the prince and Princess of Wales hospice great value cafe and Beautiful building x
D. G.
All the bands tonight were fantastic
H.
Amazing place with big playground. Beautiful park❤️

Beautiful big green space. Lots of things to see and do (gardens, House for an Art Lover, dry ski slope etc). Ideal for a walk with the dog or alone day with the family in nice weather.
A. C.
Love this park, always visit house for an art lover and try and have a cuppa and a cake in the cafe. Quite often the have gluten free cake, so that's a bonus.
A. B.
My Granddaughter loves to visit nosey the Elephant
J.
Small play area for kids.
J. R.
Went hear for a concert was fantastic saff where very helpful
M. M.
Amazing time at comic con in Bellahouston Park. Met some great people and had a great day.
B. B.
Good for Dog Walking (pooing) . Not good for children , my Dog doesn't like them .
C. R.
Had a great holiday staff were very helpful apart from Bar staff no interaction and doore
j. j.
Great size of park, plenty to keep kids occupied for hours. Public toilet closing times need a serious review. Way too early at locking up, esp during long hot summer holidays
P. P.
There is so much that has happened here. The exuberance of hope in the shadow of war that was the Empire Exhibition. The surrounding domestic modernism of Mosspark. And Govan, a place around a great river where the largest of wars were engineered. C'mon, we can walk around all day and it will never be enough. P.
R. 5.
Awesome place for events much better than Hampden
D. W.
A nice park.
D. S.
Very nice park during the daytime. Not so very nice at nights especially Friday ans Saturday
The local teenagers use this as their drinking ground. Very off putting if you fancy a nightly stroll. One wonders how they manage to get the drink or what their parents think when they arrive home tipsy. Nice park but spoiled at the weekend. Maybe council or Police should do something about this issue.
S. T.
Great park - cafe in the sports centre excellent. All weather pitches, Rennie McIntosh house - art themed kids play park. Dry ski slope. outdoor 400m velodrome. Cricket pitch - huge open grass areas - wooded hill in the middle and wide open paths.
J. G.
It was very muddy for the Cure concert without enough walkways. Was also badly lit on departure so potentially dangerous. I'm sure the park is a good place to visit and unwind but more needs to be done for events there.
B. M.
Great park with great facilities for families. It has an excellent sports centre with a running track and acres of great walking space.
N. M.
Brilliant park, one of the best in Glasgow. Great place for dog walkers, families or out for a stroll. Beautiful buildings and you can get lost there(in a good way). Love it!
A. C.
For where it is, it's surprisingly peaceful
F. R.
Aaaaamazing place for walks, sports, children play and dogs. Lots of playgrounds, hidden treasures and wee lovely places. There is a great view from the hill at the rest of Southern city. Inside the park can be found Mackintosh Gallery and museum with a stop for a cuppa.
A. M.
Nice peaceful park with lots of seats to rest on if you get tired easily or just want to sit and watch Glasgow life pass you by.
a. k.
Fantastic park. Did not see very much of it as it was late when we arrived. Would like to go back again. I didn't know it has a dry ski slope. Would recommend this park to my Son and Grandsons. Looks like a place to suit children of all ages.
M. S.
Showing signs of neglect which is a pity. The large flat expanse by Mosspark Boulevard is a bit bleak and at the moment is having major works done on the ground. Perhaps to do with its use as an event venue.
The hill is more interesting with rhododendrons, etc. The sunken garden needs attention to clean up the inscribed blocks.
I know the council is planning to shut libraries, and community halls, etc. so parks are suffering too.
S. B.
I go there a lot as it is very varied for walking including a good hill for waking upto a great view of mountains in the west and Eaglesham Moors in the south. It's good for dog walkers and has a walled garden with wonderful flowers.
T. M.
It's great to have the park, and facilities especially where it is just a shame so many people are abusing both it and the surrounding area
M. G.
Lovely big park but lacks toilet facilities within the park. If you need to spend a penny you'll need to go to one of the buildings ie the sports centre, Palace of Arts.
But the park itself has great facilities for everyone.....play parks for the kids, outdoor adult gym for the bugger kids, ski centre, gardens, allotments etc
R. O.
Fantastic park for a visit. If dog walking, plenty of open space and the ability to see for some distance. Particularly liked the cycle track.
c. c. a. t.
Plenty of lovely walks and places of intetest to visit within the park. Beautiful walled garden to sit in and read and enjoy the flowers. Children's play area. You can even book to go dry skiing
J. M.
Beautiful park in the south side of Glasgow. Refreshments and facilities are available within the Health and Fitness suite. Lots of very pleasant areas to walk or cycle.
L. G. o. M.
Great for walks, leisure centre and palace of arts both in grounds. Dry ski slope, free outdoor gym equipment, separate dog park, running and cycling tracks. Concerts during the summer and several athletic events. Toddlers gated play park and separate park for older children. This park has it all!
B. P.
Lots of space for a pleasant walk with various attractions for kiddies
H. B.
Not many parks offer such a variety, the park itself reflects a charm as captivating as many do, however to top this, not hard to do really, it offers artificial ski slopes, the House For An Art Lover, good old Charles Rennie McIntosh, with restaurant, function suites, and history, ah, the good old days! plus an intriguing garden maze. The queue starts behind me.
t. w.
Plenty to see and do. Plenty of free parking around. Sports centre available with swimming and gym.
K. W.
Visited to use the (free) dog run for photos. Lucked out and got it to ourselves for 45 minutes. Big park with various paths, Palace of Art, House for an Art Lover (with café), Bellahouston Sports Centre with pool. Small parking areas at various entrances with larger one at sports centre. Picnic tables dotted about and kids play park.
P. G.
Good for a run or walk. Amazing swing park for kids. Also a ski slope, a leisure centre with pool, football pitches and The House of an Art Lover. Good wee cafes on Paisley Road West.
M. T.
Really nice park for a walk with many daytime amenities. Theres a play area, a cycle circuit, a rose garden and enclosed flower garden, an outside gym, a year round child friendly ski slope playing fields for ball games, house for an art lover which you can tour or have a 5 * affordable meal at, an art gallery, bellahouston Glasgow life gym with swimming pool and steam, and Palace of Art Glasgow life for yoga and martial arts etc. There are also tennis courts and an enclosed football practise area. There's really something for everyone!
L.
I've had many happy years in the park with my family and friends, recently we got old cine films copied on to dvds and dongle. It's been great to look back then go now to see all that's new then see how many memories I still have. It's always such a friendly place with so many people to talk to. I hope it gives you all as much happiness and memories as it's given me.
D. M.
One of Glasgow's many great parks. The Victorian Walled Garden, is particularly worth a visit, but be aware that it closes quite early, so why not aim to be there in time to have lunch at House for an Art Lover, adjacent to the garden (booking for lunch is advisable, especially Fri/Sat).
There's 2-3 miles of paths in the park, mainly on the flat, there is a small, but steep, hill, but you can avoid that. There aren't any public toilets, but I think you can use the ones in House for an Art Lover or the heritage centre when they are open.
C. H.
Large park on Glasgow Southside with interesting walks up the Central Hill from where good views South to the countryside are available. Memorial to the Empire Exhibition of 1938 is poor, giving next to no information, and while the House for an Art Lover is excellent it contains the only (pricey) cafe in the whole park.
D. N.
Used this place during the Glasgow model show. Good location away from the busy chaotic centre, good parking. Didn't use the sports facilities obviously but from what I saw it was modern, clean, well maintained and bright. Also has toilets and baby change and in addition a decent cafe.
S. W.
Great park for walks with my family
C. E.
Decent sized park on the West Side of Glasgow near Ibrox. Houses the local leisure centre. Plenty of room to let the dogs run and some decent walks.
You can get a good view of the sun setting if you climb the hill behind the leisure centre.
I. L.
Lovely park with lots to do. Three play parks, a maze, sunken garden, bike track, bowls, football pitches... It has a sports Center with a great pool, and a cafè. There is the palace of arts which is another place for sporting excellence in the park. There is also the house for an art lover, that is popular for weddings and events and also has a gift shop, and a lovely cafè.
K.
House of the Art Lover in grounds. Worth visit, use visitor headphones for description of contents. Restaurant quite nice but upmarket. Shop excellent. Mixed terrain and wooded areas give some tranquility but local motorway noise.
E. B.
House for an Art Lover, an amazing exhibition of the famous Charles Rennie Mackintosh's creations inside the one house. Great entry fee price, only £6 for adult and £4.50 for seniors - pretty sure there is a family ticket too!
J. T.
Upon arrival you could mistake the cages around the "grass" as an 'eyesore' in reality they obviously have not let the grass die, smelling of compost. This pungent aroma is actually because they like to replenish the grass they care so much about. Don't they? Whilst you ponder this the outdoor ski area will no doubt keep you guessing. With beautiful scenery to enjoy, and lovely walks this space is worth a visit.
b. c.
Great venue to see a band.
S. M.
Great for a walk, pretty big park for keeping fit. There's a swimming baths and the palace of art with loads of different classes and place to eat, there's also football pitches for 5 a sides. Great place.
N. K.
It's a beautiful park ..nice place to spend time with family. ( Club , Children play area & football ground and lot)
K. R.
As a concert venue it would be fantastic if it's dry. However the weekend of The Cure and Foo Fighters was decidedly wet so under foot conditions were not the best. The organisers made a good effort to cover some of the bad areas with hay and extra pathways which was great but the section leading to the exit where most people parked was like a swamp. Even with boots on it felt at times like I was going to lose them!
A. M.
Went to a gig to see Foo Fighters. Access to the area cordoned off for this was easy and well sign posted, lots of security to help also. Food and toilets easy to access as well. Great gig. Will come back to another. Way out was easy as well
c. m. d.
Good enough for two popes and an emperor/king also has nice walks a ski slope a rene mackintosh designed house and a Palace dedicated to the art of boxing. It has also hosted some very popular bands over the years
A. K.
This area is used for events a lot but part of the ground has been cut up in long strip of turf recently and has been poorley relaid making the ground very uneven. In the park is also children's playgrounds as well as nice walks.
B. F.
Lovely park and great little walled flower garden. It's a fair size so plenty of space. It being September holiday weekend, the walled garden closed on a Friday at 3pm, staff member so pleased to inform us. Close early on a sunny September Friday holiday - really!!! Someone needs to remember the public, Shame on you.
S. N. J.
Visited the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice and was shocked by how beautifully thought out and constructed this place is, staff were great and do a sterling job, the facilities here are better than any 5 star hotel ! Please contribute towards this with any donation you can.
P. S.
Good, huge park with lots of walking paths and some interesting sites. Big enough to get away from the loose dogs off the lead.
S. R.
Great place to walk, all round a fantastic park
E. W.
Went here for Glasgow Summer session to see The Cure perform ( along with support band Twilight Sad & two others) Amazing concert by an amazing band Considering the huge crowd everything went orderly. The prices for food & drinks were way too expensive. Some plastic ground covering heading to toilets & food but other than that the ground was very muddy. Their was a sectioned off area for disabled but I was astounded when I heard a woman in a wheelchair say she couldn't get in for the toilet to that area because she wasn't on the list.!!!! Unreal .Apart from that staff were helpful especially when large volumes of people were all leaving at the same time.
N. Z.
Its my first home in UK
d. c.
Lovely big park that is always well maintained
J. T. P.
Pretty neat little park. It has several little monuments and interesting statues and even got a nice maze to walk around. Outdoor gym equipment and all. The cafes and galleries are currently closed but they sre worth have a look when they reopen
R. E.
Very hard to rate it as a park as we were there to see Foo Fighters & the whole concert area was a total mud bath due to much rain & many feet. (Foo Fighters were amazing fyi)
T. B.
Love this park great place to take the dog she loves running about sections of it are fenced off at the moment (August 2021)due to a sewer pipe being put in but it's a big park so still plenty of space to wander there is a life size statue of an elephant a cafe the house for an art lover a ski centre and beautiful big trees to wander among we highly recommend for a day out
J. E.
Lovely park to walk plus sporting venues including a dry ski slope. Went mainly for House for an art lover, a must for fans of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Easy access by bus from the city centre.
S. L.
Another beautiful park in Glasgow with so many amenities for the public. Many acres of beauty which makes it a very peaceful place to visit....
L. A.
Got there but couldn't find the event. I stopped in every carpark, asked a lot of helpful people even had a lovely long walk. It is very green. But alas, the signage, map and GGC's listed event without venue or directions let me down. Prepare for adventure and lots of great local people as confused as me.
a. w.
Lots to do in a huge area from an outdoor velodrome to bowling.
A. W.
I spent a lot of my childhood roaming this large , spacious and green space, so it fealt nostalgic to be back and its changed a lot with much more activities including a gym, sports fields and of course the Bellahouston centre. The grass looked longer giving it an unkempt feel and the hill was smaller than my youth, did somebody cut the top off? Glaswegians should take a bigger advantage of this excellent space
D. J.
Been going here on and off for years. Have to keep an eye out for dog dirt even though there's a specific dog place in the park, and have to watch out for broken glass especially in the aftermath of the summer concerts. Apart from that it's a good park
D. K.
We enjoyed our first visit to the Glasgow Ski centre in -5°C today. Tubing is great fun especially for the kids. The attached coffee shop is warm, clean and serves good coffee, soups and light food. Good views of the slopes too from the shop
J. T.
Green day
L.
It's a good park, but it seriously needs improvement such as lights, can barely see where I'm going half the time.
M. L.
The Cure were great,it's a splendid, well organized music venue. Top class. Nice first aid staff. Thank you to the young man from first aid who checked up on us, twice just to be sure all was well.😉
l. m.
My son & daughter in laws wedding there today, couldn't fault it. Stunning venue lovely staff, amazing food and just all round beautiful place for a wedding
C. W.
Beautiful green area not far for busy main roads and motorways. A great escape from everyday life in Glasgow. Lots of space for all sorts of activities. Football, rugby, a throw around or dog walking. As well as just a nice cycle through the park. Theres a lot of hidden gems and also it's a great venue for music events for people who enjoy being out in the fresh air and listening to the live music.
E. B.
Great place to exercise at any pace you want from a leisurely stroll to a full work out, 👍
J. M. (.
One of Glasgow's greatest parks, loved by dog walkers and runners. Next to the Bellahouston sports centre and the 5-aside playing fields at The Palace of Art. Great gardens, an adventure playground, dry ski slope, and Charles Rennie Mackintosh's House for an Art Lover...and look out for the metal elephant !
H. N.
Great park , with great walking routes , alot of history to learn , its equipped with gym machines outside, has lots of sports things and a couple of play park for the kids overall suits everyone
t. s.
Nice park, maze needs some work it could be so much better. But overall nice park in a busy area to escape from the hustle of life.
R. H.
Great place any kind of sport canteen decent
C. O.
Great park for fitness, or fun. Lots of facilities. Sports complex with parking, dry ski slope, swimming pool, sauna, multiple fitness classes, martial arts, and gymnastics, not to mention the beautiful surroundings.
L. B.
Good fun nice people to help if you get lost big track and Boling green
G. W.
Good park with a nice sport center and art house attraction. Lots of space to play games in, an outdoor gym and lovely walks, kids play parks also there. All in one of my favorite parks in Glasgow
E. P.
A lovely park to walk round especially when the gym is closed not too hilly just enough to make you work hard tho lovely garden too
T. A.
Very pleasant place to stroll. Varied topography with a few hills to make walking a bit more interesting than the typical flat grassland.
J. C.
It is a huge park with lots of different forms of entertainment like a skate park, swings, etc. Plenty of space to walk your dog on or off the lead.
A. M.
Great park for walking and running in. Fantastic place for concerts. Good seeing lot of activities for children at the weekend. Swimming, cycling, running, football training.
P. K.
Great Park for Sport and Culture.
N.
Play Park was wonderful kids had a great day and the park was not to crowded so there were plenty of benches to sit and watch the world go past
L. H.
It was a great time, we were taking part in the bubble rush x
T. C.
Good place to walk. Viewed many people playing different sports.
J. S.
Children loved playing and running around, has a nice public garden was a nice walk
R. M.
Always enjoy Bellahouston park. Family friendly and huge amounts of space. Facilities for picnics and ball games are in place. Beautiful views from the top of the hill and really easily accessible for most of Glasgow.
D. S.
Great park for an after work stroll or some time enjoying the sun on a bench.
Usually not too busy which is a plus.
E. L.
Excellent Park
S. J.
Beautiful open spaces, shady woods and paths. Lovely place. Pleasingly clean and tidy!
E. T.
Bellahouston park is a great place with dreamt hills to go up while sledging the football park is also really good fun to play in this park is also amazing if you want to have a nice calming walk.
V. L.
Love the park. I live close by so it's handy for walking the dog. Also in the rare nice days we get it is great for having a walk and a picnic with the grand children.
N. B.
Great for people of all ages. Loads of places to visit, and 5 different playparks for kids to play in.
I. M.
A good sized open area with a Ski centre that has 3 slopes and a Victorian walled garden. A really nice walk! give it a go if you get the chance
A. M.
It’s my local Park I like it it’s well organised green and clean, good for the kids
D. M.
Lots of lovely mud and a great sounding stage!!
C. W.
The gardens are beautiful
J. H.
Nice park, a bit of Glasgow culture ad heritage here.
Children park and Charles, Rennie Mackintosh. The House for art lovers. Nice cafe and Museum.
L. P.
Love this place a few parts closed off at the moment but still a nice walk
S. C.
Great park with loads to do.
S. O.
Great for walking 👌
D. P.
Great park to go for a walk at lunch times. There is also a play area for kids and an outdoor exercise machine facility. Right at the top there is some lovely gardens and sculptures hidden.
S. S.
Park is looking good, been much improved since my childhood!
It was really busy in the sun.
Only things stopping the 5th star - signage is a bit run down and difficult to decipher, walls by the main gate looking a bit wonky and in need of some TLC/grouting.
A. M.
Love Bellahouston Park. Had a lovely stroll in the beautiful Spring sunshine with my friend and my puppy. House for an Art Lover cafe serving hatch opened. 2 cappuccinos, 2 empire biscuits and a puppycinno! Bliss.
D. R.
It feels safe walking here on late evenings along the road. Generally people about. Kelvingrove park feels very unsafe comparing the two. Gangs of young bully kids in kelvingrove
G. B.
Very clean and great for walking the dogs. Lots of areas for them to explore
R. O.
Lovely wee park, great to cycle round too
M.
Great big park good for a walk
A. M.
The Cure at summer sessions was amazing! Well run event with plenty of food and drink offerings and toilets! Great location for outdoor gigs.
d. v. n.
Green day gig amazing
I. M.
Beautiful example of Rennie Mackintosh art. Well worth a visit and get the tour hand set giving you a description of various rooms. With a cafe/restaurant on site with a great menu.
I. S.
Nice venue for a wedding, the wheelchair access needs a strong person pushing.
S. M.
Could be 10 times better only if the powers that be would be of same post code as other parts of Glasgow been ģoing there for decades apart from a basic swimming not much difference
R. E.
The Cure. Say no more. The greatest band in the world delivered an awesome concert here.
It would not of mattered if the park was a rubbish dump, the fact The Cure played their concert here was all that mattered.
A. S. (.
Amazing + the garden near house for an àrt is beautiful
L. B.
In need of a bit of TLC. Lots of works going on to improve the drainage, but much of the hill had dead branches and litter all over the place.
J. K.
So the concert, The Cure and support acts, The Twilight Sad (Superb), Mogwai (good) was overall very good. £5.50 for a pint...a bit expensive. £10 for a sub par sweet chilli chicken and rice...outrageous. It rained on and off. The park was just a big mud puddle.
But it was a great day...then the trek out by Pollok Park and wait for a taxi....knackering.
Wouldn't change a thing.
K.
Really big park. Lots going on and lots of facilities nearby like a leisure centre and also a gym. Would definitely not going there.
P. T.
Nice Park with lots of space for jogging, dog walking, children's play area etc. It could be packed with people on a sunny day.
h. r.
It's barely maintained and constantly encroached on by commercial developments but a great big park and well used. There are hardly any bins in this park so expect rubbish all over. Lighting is patchy.
t. g.
One of the many great parks in Glasgow. Great for a walk or running/cycling. If you've not been for a while give it a visit
P. S.
Great park such a nice walk and also cafe to get a cuppa
J.
I have had to shower my dogs nearly every day after visiting this park. I do realise that it's not the parks fault it's the weather there is just so much mud!!!!
K. S.
Have nice memories of this park. Had a family picnic there.
A. R.
This is my favourite park in Glasgow. Lots of facilities, including the outdoor velodrome, the cricket pitch, outdoor gym, wee playparks and muckle big hill in the middle. Love it.
J. M.
Nice park, plenty of walks. Artificial ski slopes and kids play park.
N. K.
It's beautiful to walk threw and has the art park for a bit of culture plus the sports facilities when opened. I am a Glasgow club member and would recommend Glasgow club to anyone.
D. O.
Was here for a bike race, so didn't get to see too much of the park. However, the part that I did see was clean, well kept and just seemed like a nice place to spend a summers afternoon
I. B.
Views are simply magestic!
A. B.
Had a great walk around Bellahouston park today in the sunshine. There's a lot of work going on at the Mosspark Boulevard entrance with it being fenced off at the moment.
S. A.
Great open space in the city, with sports facilities, a dry ski slope and the recreation of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's design for A House for an Art Lover.
a. A.
Excellent for sports
F. N.
Such beautiful Park its great for cycling, running and Blading as they have a running track also they have a bike club so you should totally try that out
R. A.
Great environment for a concert, I went there for The Cure, and I was delighted to find that Mogwai was also in the lineup. I discovered as well two extra scottish bands that were new to me, and they were Twilight Sad and The Joy Formidable who were a discovery for me as a keen listener to band from the Glasgow scene.
E. D.
Great Park for walks and has a cycling track.
P.
Big park not far from Glasgow centre. Good for dog walking. Great coffee and food at House for an Artlover. House itself is a must see
M. D.
Very large park lots of different activities are held in it you'll always find something to do if you visit.
C. W.
Amazing space for concerts. There for summer sessions. Foo fighters were brilliant. Best gig I've been to.
D. M.
Class
j. s.
It's not really the park, although the park itself has had more than it's fair share of celebrity status with visits from Popes to rock bands and now boasts the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice and the House for an Art Lover. The park also has the Bellahouston Sports Centre, of which, I am a member. Not only does it have a gym and a 25 mtr pool, but also a myriad number of classes for young and not so young alike. Fancy 20 lengths before your work, it's open at 06.30, fancy destressing after you hard day, this is the place to free up the excess energy. Give it a go. JimS
K. O.
It's okay - for dog walking and running it's great, but nothing else really there - would benefit from a large kids play area
A. B. W.
Great for love gigs
A. M.
Lovely park, pool and cafe not open yet as maintenance work being carried out on pool. Look forward to it opening again. 🐻🏴🦄
A. D.
Lovely Park, great for a day out. Loads to see, beautiful views and several play parks for younger kids.

Nice park but lots of rubbish lying around, the maze is very run down
A. B.
Great for walking the dogs interesting bits to the park also worth some research
J. S.
Lovely day out. First time I've been, bit difficult to find your way about. Playground good for the kids.
N.
Really nice park in Glasgow. I feel this is one of the safer parks and it's a great place to take your dog for a long walk. The park is generally quite populated.
L. F.
Goog park for outdoor activities, it is scenic, ski slope, House of an Art Lover. Has acafe and a restaurant.
E. M.
Lovely park, lots of things to look at and lovely bite to eat, coffee, cake in the Art Lovers Cafe at the House for an Art Lover, give it a try, you won't be disappointed 😊
A. B.
Fabulous park lots of space and little bits to explore. Also worth a wee Google of the history of this place
S. T.
Good Park for a walk with kids or a dog. Very good for running around or inside as some challenging hills etc
r. m.
Huge, well-maintained park offering golf, kids play areas, sports centre etc.
M.
Nice park. The walled garden is worth a visit especially in Spring when in full bloom👍
l. n.

Great park for everyone, several playgrounds for kids and easy to walk around.
M. H.
Plenty of space and things to do in park, sports centres, palace of art,etc etc worth a visit
M.
Large park in the Dumbreck area of Glasgow. Very well maintained, with beautiful garden in the summer months. Within the grounds is House for an Art Lover, with gift shop and tea room within.
B. M.
Great place as a concert venue. Having said that it's no fun being knee deep in mud during a typical Glasgow summer. Better buy a pair of wellies.
A. S.
I take children to the park with lots of resources for them to play on with different age appropriate items to play on.
J. C.
Beautiful
J. M.
Great facilities. Friendly helpful staff. Fun little mini lodge for the party food. Kids had an amazing time.
D. P.
Great big park with vast amount of areas for children to play.
S. M.
Nice open spaces with tarmac paths to run or cycle on. A 400m tarmac track used for cycling, running or power skating. No lights for night training however.
L. C.
Lovely park, well provided for dog walkers. Parking could be more clearly signed for those who do not know the area.
S. B.
Great place to take dogs, go a wee cycle/jog, basque in the sun (when you get the 5mins a year to do it), or even just to take a stroll. Also good venue for gigs/Papal appearances.
C. M.
Beautiful trees, bushes and flowers. Well tended especially the Walled Garden. Lovely walks.
B. A.
Lovely large park. Quiet and clean. The walled garden is like a sanctuary. House for an Art Lover a must see.
S. C.
Lovely , huge area , wee bit of rubbish but q clean really
S. I.
Lovely variety within the park - walled garden, sculptures, fabulous playpark, walks, woods and views.
M. S.
We had a great time our friends were up from Wales. Worth the wait. All the bands were good. The cure brilliant 👍
L. D.
What an amazing night at the cure concert summer sessions at bellahouston park in Glasgow .the event was well organised and there was plenty of stuards about to ask questions or guide concert goers in the right direction to the different eaterie stands or bars .the VIP area was very good and a wristband is given to out on to enter this area where there is flushable toilets and bars stalls etc .wear your wellies if you are going here as it's very muddy. There is a happy bus service on all weekend for the summer sessions leaving from Glasgow buchanan bus station to bellahouston park if you are going to the foo fighters Saturday the 17th of August 2019. When the concert finishes around 10 30 there are happy buses to take concert goers back into the city centre costing about 5.00 .a great well irganise event .in the non VIP area there are portable loos .and a bar etc food area with pizza doughnuts soft drinks etc .
M. B.
Lively gardens . Best playground in this side of Glasgow. Free entry art galleries. Nice coffee shop at Ski centre
M. M.
Unfortunately very busy, when we visited so only had quick coffee and left. Lots of people having full meals and it would appear to be very popular

Lovely park with wide areas of open grass, some excellent playgrounds for children and good hills for climbing.

Cracking park, another reason Glasgow truly is the dear green place.
Glasgow Life run weekly fitness classes in the Palace of Art (a remnant of the Great Exhibition of the Victorian era I believe) including some free outdoor 'Parklife' classes too.
There is also the beautiful House for an Art Lover, designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and containing a lovely gift shop and café. If there is not a wedding taking place you can do an audio tour of the upstairs interiors which are well worth seeing. And there are art classes for all ages and stages run in closeby buildings - leaflets are within the House for an Art Lover.
The park has art and sculpture within in - I found a lot of that near House for an Art Lover and there is also a good playpark just behind House for an Art Lover too.

For the first time ever the portable loo's at an outside gig were clean with loo roll even at the end of the night. The hand wash basins were outside, well done to whom ever implemented this.

Great place for a stroll, nice tearooms and plenty of facilities. Bit far out from the centre of Glasgow for the casual visitor, but brilliant for those staying near by.

Good park with loads of places to see and relax, and great for people who want to keep fit with a bike track, Gym and a small outside gym for a sunny day

BEAUTIFUL PARK BUT WHERE HAVE ALL THE GARDENERS GONE? HAVE THEY BEEN REDEPLOYED IN A MISERABLE ECONOMIC MEASURE? THAT'S A FALSE ECONOMY. GLASGOW DON'T LET YOUR PARKS AND YOUR PEOPLE DOWN!
A. M.

Visited walled garden and children's playground, both well worth a visit.

Lovely park although ruined this summer with the concerts. The council seem to be in no hurry to repair the damage. Such a shame.

Great place to relax and stroll about. Avoid the art part, for they know what they do.

A stunning park, winter or summer. Also has the 'House for an Art Lover' which is beautiful and has a great restaurant.
G. J.
Great wide open spaces to walk in. Followed by coffee at the Art Lovers Cafe.

Lovely walk
J. F.
Nice park no public loos

Great concert and in the arena was good. The bus shuttle was poor, no buses and the organising of the queue was shambolic, no signs, no stewards and no information.
J. G.
Relaxing walk some veiw from the top of the park in a clear day... Under repair at the moment nice to see its getting looked after... 👏👏
M. W.
Enjoy daily walks here. Plenty of benches if you wish to sit and just chat.

Childhood play place .lots of professional dog walkers though one had 8 and little control but beautiful place visited by John Paul 2 and many rock stars

We had not been here for such a long time. We were not disappointed, food was excellent!! And staff couldn't have been more helpful. Great place. Will be back.

Lovely park, but the grass is getting very tall, would be better if someone come and cut!
