Great place to walk the dog. Can easily spend over an hour here walking.

Lovely little walk around Alney Island. Nice off-road route to Maisemore and back too taking in Richards wood. I once saw a man wearing a wet suit and carrying a surfboard, not an everyday sight in Gloucester, but he was chasing the Severn bore. My dog loves it.

Lots of routes here with a lot of wildlife to see, if you have an keen eye. Suitable for pushchairs on most routes and easy parking is available. The reason for the lower rating is due to the amount of rubbish and fly tipping we saw. Hope the council can sort this out as it would be quite the gem due to its proximity to the city centre.
