Only a short drive away from Cheltenham it offers a good area to hike in the hills or the forest. There is also a small cafe close to the parking.

The views from here are just breathtaking. Plenty of paths to go for walks, let your dogs have a blast off lead and have more that a bit of exercise yourself - it’s hilly.
Careful driving up here though, as the cattle run wild and you’re more than likely to come across a hairy beast giving you a bit of side eye for doing more than 10 mph - and deservedly so IMHO.
The car park has got a decent toilet block and a cafe with parasol seating too.
Did I mention the view? It’s stunning and you’ll get a good 20 minutes warning of the next shower coming your way ☔️☔️

Crickley Hill Country Park (and car park) boasts excellent views over Gloucester, Cheltenham and the surrounding areas, from its hill top location just off A417 and Leckhampton Rd. There are 5 marked walks in total ranging from 30mins to 1hr 30mins, and features both gentle sloping land, and strenuous up and downhill for those looking to get their blood pumping. Great picnic spots with DIY BBQ and toilet block, snack-cafe and information hut, great for family or dogwalkig. Some cycle tracks, and some paths for the less able. Links onto the Cotswold Way.
Downsides are that paths could be marked better (and marked for both directions), and that parking should be free. Instead it is £3 for more than 3hrs.

Parking is limited and road is very windy and little dangerous but view at the top is worth it. Great spot for hiking and dog walking. Can see far across Gloucestershire
