Such a lovely park!
I can't believe how tame the squirrels are! My son managed to get one on his hand.
The lake area is beautiful and the amount of wetland birds is just wonderful.
C. C.
Loved the paint a bat box activity at the animal centre for Halloween... Great idea. And some lovely bat facts, bat activities and beautifully decorated boxes to add to the experience. The information signage for the animals has been improved from previous visits and is clear, informative and easy to gain information from. Loved the large bird aviary. Some areas could've been improved. Then back in the main park, the kids enjoyed the playground and the geese and are ready to come back when they can!

Lovely place last time I was in East Park was 1968, the splash is still in operation needless to say got soaked again at 61. Small fun fair rides great play parks and Swan boat rides zoo, after you've finished all the above get yourself a peaceful walk through the park.
D. C. A.
This park is huge and has a lot to offer all the family. Special animals zoo, play park. Open fields, water chute, Swan rides, cafe and toilets. The kids and adults will love the donkey rides, ice cream, hide-and-seek seek through the old fortress and the massive free water park in summer. Best park in the world. Great way to spend a day. So many more to do than on this list
C. C.
This was the first visit back to the park since Covid and was happily surprised at some of the new things there. The kids loved the play area, seeing the animals, (though there wasn't as many as usual) and the land train ride. With lots of space for a nice walk, or for kids to burn off their excess energy, it's a must for all ages to visit for a lovely day out.

Bit of a disappointing visit to the animal park. The visit needs to be booked online which isn't particularly straight forward. However on arrival they didn't actually check we had any confirmations of booking. Almost all of the enclosures were empty. The aviary was nice lots of birds to see. But beyond that barely anything to look at. The little train ride was the best bit of our day took us all around east park kids loved it and the carousel. Tokens needed for these attractions that can be bought on site from the booth. Other attractions were open such as mini golf and pedalos, food and drink carts. Not cheap. Overall a bit underwhelming but we managed to kill a couple of hours there.

Lovely walk round the park. Lots of play areas, seating areas and a cafe, plus animal area
J. M.
Lovely place for a meet up with family. Plenty to do from walks to rides to playgrounds to animals. Take a picnic and you can have hours of fun (weather permitting!) Fun day out at such low cost. Highly recommend.
M. F.
What a great place! Never really been there before, although an occasional visit here and there. However, I had time today, and as a family we had a great time. While my daughter was in the excellent park with my grandsons, I took my dog for a walk, and it was really pleasant. The warm weather helped, but I think that even in rough weather it would be enjoyable. Free parking, and a small, reasonably priced, permanent fair. I'll certainly be back.
R. A.
A large place with plenty of different area's. Cafe, large lake nice garden areas, good kids play park a popular place with wildlife park all free well worth a visit
T. B.

Really nice day out in sun 🌞. People walking dogs. Families out having fun. Updated with summer pics. Dead pool n iron man made an appearance to.
R. G.
We love visiting East Park. There is always plenty to keep the kids occupied. It's clean and tidy. The water play area is wonderful, lots of different areas for the children to play. We could have stayed all day. It's best to pre book this area as it is very popular and gets full quickly. It is well kept and the toilets are cleaned regularly. The children love to see the animals too.
P. R.
It's a massive park and nature reserve, loads of places to have a picnic, enough room to play football or rugby. During summer hols and half term it has lots of fairs and other events on, there's a large play area for children of all ages to play there is also a cafe with outdoor seating, splash boat and peddle boats. If you like your fitness it's a good place to run round.
J. L.
I view this as the best park in Hull.
Loads to do for all the family.
The splashboat is open throughout the holidays and only costs £1 per person.
If you have kids that love dinosaurs download the Love exploring app and you can go on a dinosaur hunting around the park with the family.
B. W.
East park is such a beautiful place either for the open areas, water areas or wooded sections with plenty of wildlife and it's the 1st time a saw a yew tree there they are rare to see in East Yorkshire.
Y. K.
Lovely place for a family day out, plenty of rides for kids, boat and animals. Lovely scenery, artificial lake and walkways. Free car park. Ice cream and soft drinks at reasonable price. Well maintained and well attended place. All in all a good place to visit for a family day out. MUST TRY !
P. B.
Beautiful park... wide open spaces and lots of wildlife. It has 3 different lakes, 2 kids playgrounds, a nature trail and several gardens. There's also a large cafe and several shops bordering the park where you can get a chippy, ice creams etc. Well worth a visit! 👍🏻👍🏻
S. F.
Lovely park and an excellent playground which our 3 year old loved especially the 'big slide'. Nowt as good as this in Sheffield. Well done Hull City Council!
C. B.
Love this park. So much to see and do. Lovely children's play areas. Lots of scenic walks around the park. Small zoo. Lots of birds🐦. Plus the pavilion cake for a treat after we have earned it 😇.
G. A.
Amazing place over over 120 acres, there's a carousel, water shute a small train that you can travel on boating lake..there is also a small zoo though you do have to book to go in but it is free, plus the usual outdoor playing areas
There is so much space to play games too and lakes with ducks geese and swans on.
J. T.
Lovely afternoon in East Park with my youngest granddaughter! Wonderful place for children to enjoy nature.
l. k.
Kids enjoyed the time spent walking around the animals though not a lot there this time of year. But fun all the same. Also loved the ice cream from the shop near the animal enclosure and very well priced.
L. R.
Lovely place and relaxing. Enjoyed seeing all the animals and birds. Was a bit disappointed with the small ponds near the wooden bridge, where all the frogs was. As littered with debris ppl need to think. Keepers need to keep clean. Lovely cafe
J. M. (.
I love east park been going since I was a kid. It's changed over the years lots of fond memories. My boy Oscar absolutely loves going he so happy and get some much joy from East park.
K. P.
Nice couple hours out with the kids, can take a picnic, plenty of grass to sit on.
The park could be a bit bigger more for ages 4 +
There spalsh Park is really good and it's free you just have to book on the Woodford swimming bath website.
There definitely could be another little park built on there for babys/toddlers as it gets very busy.
The cafe is clean and cheap enough.
S. B.
Very large park with pedalos donkey rides swing park water park carrousel land train cafe . Its huge n very well kept . Excellent for dog walking n children safe ... we enjoyed our trip n will return often ..
P. P.
good for 1 day outing..especially on weekends..children's enjoys this place..Toy trains , boat are attractions..
D. K.
Had a lovely walk around East Park, wasn't real full of people thankfully as my anxiety peaked, but enjoyed the sun and getting out. Shame there wasn't more animals, maybe another time
E. B.
Brilliant park great place for familys and the only plash boat in England
L.
Lots of space to walk around. The animals are only to be viewed Thursday to Sunday. So we was disappointed that we couldn't see them. Lots of things closed also crazy golf ect and water park area.
L. M.
This place is a wonderful day out for all ages and abilities.
On summer days you can have a ride on the land train around the park for £2, they have the pedalo swans out on the lake for just £2, donkey rides for £2 and the famous splash boat flume ride for £1. Everything else in the park is free including the wonderful animal rescue area where you can see parrots, wallaby, llama, goats, peacocks, guinea pigs and various other animals. There is a lovely cafe with very reasonably priced food and drink too and ample parking spaces in and around the park. This place is great to take the kids with woodland areas to explore and a huge fun play area too. There's a large field area where they can play, it's always nice to take a picnic to enjoy and dogs are also welcome.
This place is also very accessible for wheelchair users, something that has become an important part of our planned days out in the past year. Everywhere has safe ramps, including onto the land train so that can be enjoyed too. There is an accessible roundabout in the play area for wheelchairs to be placed on and a large seated swing to provide support to those that need it. There is also a changing places accessible toilet here for wheelchair users.
I highly recommend this park.
K. T.
It was ok as a free day out with the kids. But a bit dirty and very crowded also in the zoo bit most of the animals were missing and I'm not sure of that was just on the day we've visited or if they actually missing a lot if them at the moment.
N. W.
Absolutely love this place anytime of the year. The lake is great for just a stroll, fishing, park run, a fair or a swan boat ride. My kids love the park and there is always something going on there.
m. b.
One of the best parks Ive been..
Beautiful walk around the lake.. boating area.. lots of greenery and picnic spots... The only thing I wasn't very happy about was the people staring at me being the minority there.. but would definitely recommend the park..
P. C.
The children loved the squirrels today
A. B.
It's a nice park nice for a dog walk and if you want to visit the animals, only down side for me is just can get rather busy on hot days
D. W.
Really lovely huge park with animals, lakes, swings, gardens, and outdoor pool and splash boat.
K. P.
As I get older I try to visit east park as often as possible, just lately daily, I slap on my headset and walk around the lake a few times whilst listening to a decent audio book. Currently its Rambo.
I try get there in a morning when it isn't super busy inbetween the kids going to and leaving school. I try to cover 2/4 miles (a few times around the lake finishing up at the pavilion cafe for a hot chocolate). The fresh air and scenery makes for a relaxing walk whatever the weather.
A. W.
Really impressed, from the walk around lake, to zoo. And play area for the kids, and swanns you can hire out to go around the lake, and the areas for a picnic. With parking that is FREE, you can't go wrong.
J. S.
Great place to visit for any age, lots of things to do. My grandson always likes to go to see the animals and play in the playground. A ride on the swans is only £2 each and a £1 to ride on the splash boat.
D. L.
Great park with plenty to do, all mostly free too. Understandably not everything is open/running right now but could easily spend an afternoon or a day here
S. C.
Beautiful setting whatever the weather and teaming with wildlife. Walking, cycling or running this is a great location.
M.
Considering it’s a popular place the park looked like it needed some tlc. Unfortunately the animal centre was closed so wasn’t able to enjoy the full experience
a. m.
East Park is an actually cool place to visit and get some relaxation time.
Century old trees, leafy pathways, Canadian geese and a huge lake.
It is very nice!
It does lack of some amenities, but this situation makes this park less gentrified than other parks in England
J. T.
Really enjoyed the park but was really disappointed when we couldn't get to see the animals, because for some reason they shut at 3pm on a Saturday!
j. o.
Could do with a few more seats especially in the bird walk through, so people with disabilities can sit down

East Coast Run East Park 09/06/2019
This is the 51st run and each year, all the vehicles converge on East Park,Hull from early in the morning and depart the park at around 11 o’clock, for the drive to Sewerby, near Bridlington. Whilst at East Park and Sewerby, you can walk around and admire the quality of the vehicles and speak with their owners. It is a ‘family friendly’ environment and there is so much to see, so allow yourself plenty of time and it’s free to visit !
East Coast Run:10.06.18
This is a brilliant event, now in it's 50th year !.It is free event to visit and there is a vast selection of vehicles of all types, including cars, lorries, bus's and motor cycles. The run leaves East Park at 11.00 and travels to Sewerby ,where the vehicles can be viewed, all for free !.All the amenities at East Park are open and it made a for a smashing day out.

Beautiful place to be for the whole family. Plenty of space to play ball games and some beautiful sights around the grounds... Well worth checking out :)
A.
Beautiful Scenery, Great place for a day out with the family, friends, ect. Wonderful Free to Access Zoo. Swan boats on the lake and Land Train for a relaxing tour around. Splash Boat being refurbished this year which is exciting to see open again. Truly amazing park!
N. K. (.
It is very beautiful, has a giant field to do activities, great for taking pictures and selfies and there is a place with mini fair rides and boat rides around which is a great way to get pictures!

WWe Love having a wander round East park. Loads to do. Feed the ducks and geese. Wander round the lake and flower gardens. Take the kids in the petting zoo. Try archery on a Sunday with the club who are there. Boating lake with swan boats. There is a Renovated splash boat that kids of all ages love. There are some gym / fitness equipment in the middle of the park. Swing / roundabouts / slides in the playgrounds . A cafe area where snacks drinks and meals can be bought. For the quiet a few years there has been no walk threw butterfly house open when IV been so that needs sorting out sometime .. you can jog round the park.. have a picnic . Play footy.. sail remote control boats in the lake and the list goes on . They have regular fairs and shows through out the year...we were there with our bikes for the Easter egg charity run. Makes it good for all ages
J. E.
The animal education centre is now pointless as most of the animals have been removed and you can't go into the enclosed aviary due to the risk of bird flu. The large kids playpark has fallen into disrepair. Some serious work needs to be done to bring East Park back to it's former glory before the summer.
m. w.
Really good to see the animals and even got to pet the goat. Good size fields to play football and other games without affecting picnics. Lovely gardens to walk around. Park was very clean and well kept.
S. R.
East Park is a great open space in the middle of a standard suburban city.
For those who don't know it, it really is a miniature oasis, it has pretty views over a fairly large lake, a fantastic childrens play area, a coffee shop, a few rides, a train ride around the park, and an animal experience/bird sanctuary, a space to exercise (outdoor equipment, space to play sports, or just walk through the secret gardens) .. it's actually amazing that it's slap in the middle of east Hull. Definitely worth a visit.
L. B.
Still a Lovely Park Where you can enjoy lots of thing like keep fit of all fitness levels to playing with your kids and grand kids or just relaxing and enjoying the views of the beautiful gardens full of colour. it has a very nice Cafe where you can buy hot or cold food and drinks with welcoming helpful staff also has a Library right next to it , with bench seats and public toilets spotted around the park and of course the Good Old East Park Shop that we all remember from our childhood days That Sells Much the same as the Cafe PlusThings like Balls and Hoops etc. weather just a leisurely walk or visiting the animals or even fishing or boating the Lakes, whatever you do it pure pleasure at the very least at The East Park.
S. B.
Great place for the family to enjoy and with the dogs can have a good run about. A food place to eat. The photos are from the recent Hull motor show which is apart of certain shows through out the year
D. H.
First visit for years. Very impressed. Park was very well presented and the absence of vehicles in the park meant it felt very safe.
A. J.
Needs a bit more upkeep and money spending on keeping it clean and working properly. Other than that, is a great place to bring to kids or walk the dog
M. S.
Lovely park with a lot to offer and plenty of space and seating area.
s. b.

Great insect and animal exhibit good fun for all of the family.
T. R.
Beautiful park. Great setting for Parkrun. Disappointing that the cafe won't serve tap water...even when you are buying other food and drink. Great for wheelchair users including accessible toilet. The special bikes for wheelchair users to hire are great too but I think you have to register for this service.
S. L.
Great place for a family get together, a walk and a picnic, and much more, a very clean and tidy park.
Z. A.

J. R.
Great place to visit, lots of attractions like the splash boat, nice playground for children, pavilion for buying some drinks or ice-cream.
S. M.
Beautiful as I remember. Although a lot of holes if your wanting too cycle around. Or even push a pram most people avoiding the paths and using the grass. But apart from that was a lovely day and the park was full.
S. J.
Beautiful place with plenty to do for all the family
K. W.
Lovely open air space and amenity. It would be nice to see more money invested in it by the council.
N. F.
lovely afternoon out only thing that spoiled it are teenagers in the kids park swearing and looking for trouble and dogs running free with no leash !!
R. O.
Lovely park, nice and clean and a great place to go with family
C. P.
The park is OK but I just don't understand Hull City Council. The some paths are extremely covered in goose excrement. Power wash the paths once in a while. Depending on wind direction, plastic bags, bottles, cans etc. Scoop it out with a net. Either clean it or patrol the park, catching the people throwing garbage.
L.
Came to meet my freind with my assistant dog in training. We loced it specail why there having dog icecream
G. B.
Very beautiful park, plenty for all the family, picnic, train ride, paddle boats

O. O. (.
It’s so interesting to know that a park of this size and nature can still be found in Hull. My guess is that a lot of people still do not know enough about East Park to explore what it has to offer.
The deposit of nature with the lakes and large area covered by green vegetation all year round had made it a favourite for dog walkers , cyclists and families.
I was so amazed the day I discovered that there is a part of the park worthy of exploration for animal lovers. . I saw a very interacting parrot on my visit. Before it was cut short by a downpour .
I was told there are meerkats among other creatures resident in east park.
I only wander why we do not have a police station within Hull’s biggest natural park to protect the vulnerable especially with the current report of people being attacked at knife point for their mobile phones and other valuables .
My advice is avoid secluded areas while at the park or better still, always stay in a safe company
Finally, only use the park when there is day light
J. B.
Disappointed that the animal area was almost empty but otherwise a great place to run around.
P. S.
It's a great place to visit. It's really big and very clean. It even has a little zoo area with medium to small animals. Caffé and a pond also in the area makes it a great place to visit.
R. G.
Great walk and loads of fun with animals and great park and exercise parks too
G. H.
Great well kept park will be better still when all the facilities there open up. Especially the splash boat which I enjoyed as a child. Can't wait to see my grandson's have ever a go . Just like my children also enjoyed the splash boat. My grandson's will love the animal enclosure once again. Hopefully will be able to see veteran weekend in the near future
D. H.
Wonderful green space within 3 miles of the city centre. Plenty to fill a good few hours including children's play area, animal enclosure, boats on the lake and wildlife to spot.
J. G.
Always a lovely place to visit. Beautiful scenic walks, lovely play park for the kids especially as they've replaced all of the bark with soft dividers and grass. Lovely little shop and café on site. Chip shops and sweet shops nearby. Duck pond with benches to sit on and relax.
j. s.
Was lovely to have a walk around East Park Feb Half Term . We were well wrapped up as it was bitterly cold. Lovely flowers to see snowdrops, purple crocuses & daffodils. Grabbed two hot chocolates & a tub of sweets to have sat in the Winter Sun
g. h.
Plenty to do here. Animal area. Childrens swings etc. Cafe next to library. Model boat pond. Large lake with ducks and in the summer pedalo and rowing boats. Splash boat open in summer whilst children on school holidays. Woodford swimming pool nearby.
L. L.
I love this park, ever since I was a little girl. I go everyday with my camera, and there is always lovely wildlife to photograph. Great for the family, and very dog friendly. Highly recommend 🙂
M. F.
Gorgeous green space. Lots to see and do.
Go see the chatty parrots. So funny. Kids loved their day spent here. Take a picnic or get fish and chips from outside the park ss food in the cafe is very expensive for what you get.
J. P.
Always a good day out and plenty to do! Cafe busy but to be expected on weekends and bank holidays
J. Y.
Fantastic, East Park should be the gold standard for Parks in the city of Hull. Many things for the kids to do, especially in summer. Places to eat, numerous seating areas, a plethora of wildlife to observe. Crazy golf, splash park, boating lake and a well equipped play park. You really can spend the whole day here.
S. A.
Always windy but it's nice place to spend time.
M. S.
Went on the bubble rush. Had a great time. Park was very beautiful.
K. M.
Lovely community park with so much to offer. Great for families, runners or just a nice walk.
T. L.
We love coming here. We travel from scunthorpe to get here. Beautiful big park, nice and clean and tidy, great park for the kids. We Just love it. And they have recently built a massive splash pad area aswell! Only downside is you have to book for that.
J. L.
Great park with loadsa facilities for all ages
A.
Beautiful place to visit, especially for families. This park has always been a favourite of mine and I encourage anyone to visit this park as often as possible. It has also had a "refurbishment" a few years back and now looks even better than before.
N. T.
Lovely place to walk and your dog too!" But they say there dog friendly " they don't have any dog water at the cafe it's ridiculous! You want to stay more if so especially on a day like this!
K. M. B.
This is a beautiful place to chill out, it's huge
K. F.
East Park is a lovely place for a few hours out, it's well maintained, clean and tidy. Plenty to do including land train and pedelos in the summer. A small animal part and plenty of green grass for picnics or a game of football.
z.
Brilliant day. All new equipment been placed in the large park. Hours of fun in there for little and big kids.
Swans boots out also.
Seasonal rides also available at the moment.
Need a toilet attendant. There was no toilet paper at all in any of the cubicles. But it was on the ceiling.
C. S.
Excellent park for exercising, walking, running, walking... Loved
P. J.

Lovly place zoo part was not open which was a shame only open Thursday to Sunday at the time of going.
D. W.
A great inner city park. Ideal just for a walk or somewhere to spend the day with the family. Lots of open space and activities to keep everyone entertained. Great for dogs too.
R. S.
Just moved from the Manchester area to West Ella. Went to this park expecting to stay a couple of hours with the grandaughter. Spent all day there. I would go so far to say that this I'd probably the best council owned park I have ever been to. Brilliant. Credit to Hull
P. S. H.
Great green space to explore for all ages. Plenty of parking.
A. D.
Great park and lovely animals wish there was more to be honest.
P. H.
Took me back to my childhood it has got bigger and better now
P.
Brillaint park for everything, picnics, play park, small animal enclosure, with an indoor bird house. Open Park with cafe. And boating lake, with course fishing.
A. L.
A free good quality park cheap day out. The cafe isn't too bad for a quick bite. Plenty to do. Clean with good facilities. Well suited for wheelchair users
B. R.
We like to take our little dog here, sometimes every week.
It was very busy yesterday, being half term, but everyone was enjoying themselves and lots of grannies and granddaddy taking their grandchildren out.
The only fly in the ointment was the cafe. I'm disabled so can't walk far, my husband joined the queue while i went in to look at the cakes etc. Then i was going to tell him what I'd like.
BUT the staff pounced on me and said there's a queue, I said I know I'm just looking what there is. So she said well you can't do that: I said so how is my husband going to get what I want? She couldn't answer that, but said you can't go back to the queue you'll have to go out the other way. Which means I had to walk right around the outside of the cafe to where my husband was. We'll bring our own in future.. 🤔
J. A.
Pleasant experience. Quite busy, but it was nice weather.
M. H.
Lovely park, clean and an animal exhibition aswell
K. S.
Went for a walk with my dog nice place hope next time I go weather will be better
S. R.
Large park, plenty of space, nice cafe serving takeaway drinks and a small selection of snacks at the moment, typically bigger selection and hot foods when allowed and safe. Large children's play area, small animal area and large lake with pedalo hire when fully open.
T. W.
Great place to visit, especially with kids, lots of space, plenty of room to picnic (may need a picnic rug, goo little zoo, boating lake, model boating lake and a good cafe, goo day out
D. R.
Well kept and lovely place to visit
Went for the autumn colours on the trees. Getting to the disabled parking by the watersplash was a bit like off-roading!
T. T.
Went for the circus Zyair and we were entertained.
G. C.
Love it, best place in Hull to clear your head or go out with the kids. Check out the mini zoo as well.
E. H.
Lovely park with lots of open spaces, a nice cafe and areas to explore. My only criticism is the water area has closed due to hygiene reasons and won't be opening any time soon.
R. C.
Nice Park well maintained lots of different activities
J. G.
Cracking afternoon out, plenty to do and very clean and well looked after
J. B.
Everything was closed, sash boat, paddling area, lovely sunny good Friday, what a waste
A. S.
Very nice park, but unfortunately it has a closing time and I don't understand why. This rule is very annoying. In my country and many other countries you can walk and relax in a park at any hour.
D. R.
What a lush park. Huge space and love the animal sanctuary. The best thing was the marmoset monkey but also some nice parrots a very good place to take your kids or even just a place to go and clear your head if feeling stressed
M. I.
Very lovely park. Much greenery and peace, very spacious, has children's play area. Good for outdoor picnics and walks
J. A. 9.
Always a lovely place to take your kids for bike rides and walks with your dog
S. L.
It's a nice park, been going there all through my life, visited many events there aswell including a circus yesterday which other then the refreshments was excellent value for money and very entertaining
S. G.
Good Park glad we know it's there now
J. U.
Great open space in the city with Cafe on park, animal education & menagerie, lakes & pedal boats
K. L.
Largest Park in Hull.
S.
There were some amazing pictures on Google, which do not match the actual park.
The 9 hole Pirate golf was good as were the Swan boats on the lake. There was also plenty of room to sit and have a picnic, a cheap sweets cabin and various places to walk it all off!
However, the toilets should have opened at 0830 and took until 1130 to open, which is definitely not good enough when you are with young children and don't expect too much from the zoo.
Still recommend a visit though now you know what to expect.
G. P.
We had a great time looking at the ducks, coots, geese, swans and seagulls floating on the lakes. It was muddy when we went but much of the grass was fine to walk on and there are plenty of good paths. Loads of tall, beautiful trees and, best of all, the toilets by the side of the boating lake were considerately open. Hurrah.
H.
Nice place for a picnic
A. C.
An excellent park with a wide variety of activities, including a small zoo type animal area and a coffee shop, a nice place to spend a few hours with children.
J. L.
East park is wonderful. Massive green space. A splash boat . Shops. Gorgeous cafe. Tons of free car parking spaces. A wonderful bridge over a large lake. A farm with animals , birds . Well worth a visit . Go early and spend all day there with the children / grandchildren . There are picnic tables , a boating lake . People take there remote control Boats there. Lots of wide open spaces so take your dog if you have one and don't forget your dog poo bags. Have a great day ....
C. F.

M. S.
Beautiful
S. B.
Lovely place for a family day out for free !
Take some food, blanket, football, frisbee and enjoy some family time.
V. L.
As always East Park spoiled us with a great venue. Thank you!
M. M.
The park itself was enjoyable. But if you used the toilets there was no soap or gel to clean hands. with. Council letting people down again
D. B.
Absolutely love this park, it's so clean, lots for kids to do, plenty of squirrels, ducks, geese and swans and lots of flowers
C. L.
Lovely park. Lots for children to do. Also a little area with birds and wallabies. Boating lake very tranquil
L. M.

G. E.
Love east park! Such a variety of things to do, and places to stop to have a sit down! The cafe is lovely with polite staff and a great selection of food, snacks and drinks! The new play park was being done during my most recent visit and so far it looks like it is going to be really great! Cant wait to take my son during the summer!
J. H.
A very pleasant walk around the park
G. A.
I have always loved East Park, great for kids, a walk, a bike ride, feeding the ducks! Seeing the animals is a must. Whenever I visit Hull I always go with my family.
K. W.
Brilliant park well worth a visit
R. T.
At least 4 goosander on the lake East Park and good service in the café
A. C.
One of my favourite parks in World and I've been to many and live much nearer to some very good ones. My family love it as do the dogs.
It's big, very big and there's plenty to see and do. Great walks plus a lake full of wildlife and if you enjoy seeing animals theres a small animal farm to visit. Plenty of parking and a great little cafe that serves the usual but at really great prices. The park hosts various events throughout the year many of which are unique and well worth attending.
J.
A lovely family park. Quite a bit of parking inside the park. Ponds full of a wide range of water birds, wooded area, paths for children to ride their bikes. Small zoo with birds, wallaby and peacocks etc. Cafe, library and information centre. Very popular with young parents. A great city green area.
H. L.
One of the best open spaces in the country, probably the world in terms of public parks. It has everything from a remote control boating lake to a Cafe, library, well kept gardens, a mini zoo and excellent parking. Different events throughout the year and open every day until half an hour before sunset. Great for dog walking and other activities such as taking children to the play park, you can spend a long time here any time of the year.
T. F.
Lovely park, with a great tribute to one of rock's legends.
M. R.
East Park is a beautiful place to have a lazy day Clean and very green with a wonderful animal enclosure for all to enjoy The cafe is worth a visit for a treat. It's so nice to see it so well used, after all it's the visitors that make it the place it is. It has been a blessing to many many people during Covid a sanctuary from the current situation we find ourselves in. Currently they are building a massive new water play area and the old splashboat is being restored and will be back in action again. Something to look forward to in a brighter future that lies ahead
J. H.
You'll never go wrong at East park there simply too much to do! And you get to meet friendly characters like Sedred ( I named him myself lol)
A. L.
Really good for a day out with the family 👪
S. R.
Always a great clean environment, dog friendly brilliant for kids. Nice cafe or bring a Picnic great for jogging, walking and cycling

Great place always clean and tidy.
Plenty of wildlife to see and feed.
Toilets are clean and tidy.
Cafe has reasonable prices and tasty food.

Information at main gate and also information spread around all areas of the park for everyone to see.
W. G.
great for dog walking and running around the park it has a large lake and a small pool for boating enthusiasts. animal enclosures with bird's etc. splash boat a must do swings slides and other things for children young and old football rugby and exercise machines. good cafes shops all on site have a great day out you will enjoy it with summer attractions during the summer holidays.
L. W.
Great for all ages! I take my children to play in the play area, walk around the park area, to the cafe and to the library. I also take service users here too when the weather is nice and walk around the animal bit. Enjoy feeding the ducks and eating ice cream on a hot summers day. Great day out
H. i. w.
Loved the animal bit and the play area for kids as it's well thought out and the kids loved it. Only thing is say is that there are a few areas run down in the park like the water play bit which in summer when we went would have been greatly appreciated by the hot temperamental 6 years old, but apart from that 👍👍👍.
J. W.
Lovely for family day out. Been using for years. Good for fun days out they have lots of different additives. Peddle boats fun days to veteran weekend also the animal park. Not very big but if you have young chidren. They love the animal park.
P. H.
Great Park and plenty to do for kids ....and lovely to walk your dogs....cafe in the middle is lovely best cuppa tea ever x
G. W.
Great open space with large lake cafe animals and fish and fishing is allowed. Next door to to an indoor swimming pools and gym and has children's play area,s and free parking.
S. T.
Excellent venue for public events. We'll maintained.
A. H.
Lovely to walk round in a beautiful setting and have a cuppa in the cafe, not forgetting the famous splash boat always good for a laugh, just don't sit at the front! well worth a visit
J. T.
This is such a lovely park. It is easy to walk around and there are plenty of benches to sit down on to admire the views. The little land train is great for the children and grandparents. The play park is always busy and although the splash boat was not running due to nesting birds there were still plenty of people taking to the water in the paddle swans. Such old trees in the Park and plenty of shade from them on hot days if needed.
A. B.
Nice park for all kinds of activities! I remember like older folk from hull when they had an outside lido which added to the park and was always heaving in the summer! The boats and especially the splash boat in their best point! They also have llamas and a few animals to look at! Please treat them respect! We are lucky to have parks like this here!
T. m.
Love this place was lucky enough to grow up on its doorstep will always feel magical and forever be beautiful
R. E. Y.
What a great park! Such a variety of things to do. Kids love this place. The parks are very good. The splash boat when working is a good laugh! Lots of space, so never crowded. There are animals too and birds to look at. Well worth a visit!
b. l.
Great park great for kids. There's a little zoo to go see, a big play area water play area when open. Plenty of grass to play on. A splash boat ride for kids and adults and a lake with boat rides. They have different events on just need to check on hull daily mail on Google to see what's going on there.
H. B.
Great place for a trip out with the grand-kids, lots to do and see, even donkey rides. Can't understand why Hull City Council don't keep it tidier though, there's a lot of litter strewn around the park and in the lake
i. k.
Very nice place to take the dog for a walk
C. A.
What an amazing place, there's so much to do and see. Huge great fields so you can take your dog , massive play park for kids, small zoo as well and a boat lake . there's a cafe as well so you can grab a brew and a rest after all that peddling of the boats. Most definitely recommend a visit for all the family.
A. Y.
Beautiful park
Huge and peaceful
S. T.
Grandchildren absolutely love coming here. My how its changed over the past few years. Its really lovely. Fab day out with a picnic.
N. O.
Great open space. Particularly good for children and adults alike
K. S.
Good for an afternoon out lovely place to be. been again today top place
S. W.
Lovely park with a beautiful lake to walk around. Lots of grassy areas, established trees, playgrounds, cafe and lots more including a veteran sculpture and a guitar sculpture dedicated to Mick Ronson. You can have a great day out here.
C. B.
A big green space. Well cared for with neatly cut hedges and lots of trees and grass. I enjoyed walking my dog and stopping for a coffee in the cafeteria. She was allowed to sit inside so that's a plus for me. Good place to let children run around in safety.
L. T.
I was having a nice little walk around East Park, when suddenly, a demented duck came out of the boating lake and started chasing me all the way around the park. I was most upset by this experience, I certainly shall not be returning to East Park any time soon. Sort it out lads!
P. D.
Good place to visit for all the family.greattime of the year for looking All round the park not only for the wild life but for all the family to enjoy all the attractions
R. B.
This is a valuable asset for East Hull but as usual the council have been unable to finish the job properly. Lousy car park and poor signage, dead trees, weedy areas and poor maintenance. I wonder if the Parks Manager is up to the job.
L. C.
Beautiful in the park today, packed with families, couples and people walking their dogs. I think we sometimes forget just how lucky we are to have this in the middle of our busy city. Big well done to all the park staff too who keep it so beautifully clean and in abundance of colour...
N. B.
Really excellent park. We enjoyed the new splash pad which was really well done and clean. The children loved it.
D. F.
There has been a lot of money spent on it of late. There's a nice play area for children and a small zoo.
Personally I'm not keen on the
'improvements' and preferred it as it was.
G. B.
Very family friend, lots of space for ball games and to have pickniks and a reasonable sized park...
You could go in pedalos and there was log shoot...
Recomend it for any age.
L. B.
What a beautiful Park! Visited for the first time today & so surprised how lovely it is. So clean, lots to do & see. Will definitely be visiting again. We'll worth the trip over the humber bridge to spend the day at this gorgeous park.
C. G.
Very large park suitably located in central Hull. The playground is updated with some good rides. The coffee shop is just Ok for drinks and snacks.
C.
Great park, loads to do! Large play area, big ponds and plenty of land to walk around and walk dogs or even have a picnic , also peddlos available to hire and toilets on site! There are also animals at the park we could see them as we walked around but it was closed at the time , animals still visable from their habitats though
M. N.
Beautiful Park fun play area and a great animal and bird zoo. If you get peckish the cafe is well worth a visit with home baked style cakes snacks and meals. A good day for children and adults.
n. s.
Another top job by Neil's Plastering Service
I. B.
Fantastic park with sommuch to do and so.much is free.
The animal area, is so well kept with a great range of animals for a city park.
Lovely lakes, fantastic cafe, clean toilets
Boats, splash ride plus feeding the ducks is great for kids.
An open space they can play safely. My 3 year old loves visiting herw
T. K.
Easy to forget this enormous and beautiful space exists in Hull. Well maintained, clean, with plenty of amenities.e.g. toilets, snack bar. Lovely walk around the lakes/ponds.
R. N.
Great sized park. Lovely to see animals. Slightly flooded however. Some muddy paths could have been helped by a parky shovelling mud out of way. A few hours work would make a big difference to lots of visitors.
S. B.
Beautiful greenery. So clean. Plenty of space to wander and blow away the worries of your day.
Lovely Café and of course, the amazing animals too 😊
G. H.
East park is a beautiful place to visit it's a nice park to walk run cycle and enjoy the the wildlife the trees are stunning and give you shade from the summer sun There's also a great cafe in the centre of the park with vegan options. It has plenty of choice of children's swings slides climbing frames and there's a road train to take you around the lovely lake . Next to park is a public swimming pool this place has everything you need to have a fun day out.
L.
Beautiful park with well manicured gardens and a number of children's play areas spotted around. Their is also a very good cafe that has an ample choice of food so you could have coffee and cake, lunch or just grab a bottle of water to hydrate. There is also a lake that runs the width of the park along the back gates with a white ornate bridge.
Also to the rear of the park is a animal park, containing peacocks ,goats and other animals.
The park has a team of park attendant working during the day to keep it clean and the public safe.
8. H.
Its a lot better than if used to be, but it's still dated and when it's busy it's not easy to use the facilities.
This park is historic part of Hull and it could be better if more money was used in its upkeep, down to the council, not the people who work there.
Great place to chill on a summers day on the main green area.
J. &. R. D.
Easy to find and free parking along inner road. Lots of space to run around. There's a good play area and a boating lake. Also there's a free mini zoo with llamas and peacocks, Guinea pigs and goats. There are monkeys and an aviary too. You'll find toilets at the zoo, boating lake and in the on site cafe.
N. K.
A nice and friendly place to for a walk. There is also a little animal park for children to learn about some animal, inside there is a small bird park with some lovely parrots that trained to say "hello"
D.
Beautiful park and very well looked after
J. W.
Had a great visit today starting with a picnic on the grass, seeing the animals and playing in the playground. Also was a funfair there but we didn't go to that bit. Ice cream van was there as usual, as were the donkeys for rides. Great day out with friends!
G. R.
Great park for all ages
M. W.
Fantastic day out. All amenities are free. Children's animal & bird park, beautiful lake, masses of open spaces to play and free car parking. You can hire swan shaped pedalos, buy seed and feed the ducks and geese. Or chose to take refreshments in the cafe....that has very clean toilets. Plenty of seating if you take a picnic. I deffinate must for any age.
S. H.
Lovely park and animal sanctuary. Be careful with pets off lead as it can be quite busy and there have been reports of poisons left out by twisted individuals. That being said on a warm day it makes for a gorgeous place to picnic and wander.
L. G.
A lot different to when I last came here years ago. Had a facelift and looks a lot better now. I especially like the cafe and library building in the middle with plenty of seating outside and a nice water feature too. The old log flume is still there but as of summer 2019 it was not in operation due to not being able to carry out some remedial work. I think this was due to some nesting birds or some other wildlife issue.
L. C. (.
At the start of lockdown it was open all the time time, now it shuts at 8 and its rubbish, when I get home from work sort the baby and head out for a walk on an evening its closing. Cant see why it can't stay open. Kids climb over the fence anyway ...
S. D.
My favourite park in Hull. . . Its got everything, a small pond for model boats. A large lake for fishing and also paddle swans and of course the famous splash boat. A small train to take people on a tour of the park . . A small animal zoo . . Cafe . . Gardens . . And a large playground for the kids . Plenty of space to take a picnic and make a day of it
P. G.
It's a lovely place to walk around, seeing the animals and birds ducks then awalk around the park . Loads of people go there from young to old , dog walkies , cafe where you can sit and get something to eat or drink then ice cream, yum yum. . Only problem I have is the cafe isn't big enough need more staff to serve . As always queuing outside it's a busy place is the cafe so I think their should come up with some ideas to change that. Hopefully!!!
m. w. s.
Really fun park, feels really calm. Everyone enjoyed ice cream allot, the ice cream was yummy! 😋
C. R.
Great park, little animal zoo, swan boats, water slide which is only open in school holidays. Great play park with plenty of picnic tables, small outdoor exercise area. There is a small shop selling ice creams sweets etc and also sells bags of food for kids to feed swans and geese. Lots of things to do here.
S.
As usual, friendly service, welcome. Clean, ideal for drink and of food during a lake walk.
C.
Lovely park in a middle of the city. Nice views and many places to sit. Has a great kids play area as well as a outdoor gym. Also a cafe on site that serves a delicious range of food and drink.
I. P.
Lovely place to go out on a family trip out, The area is well safe and secure and a very nice ice-cream store on site, with toilet facilities
M. R.
Nice place to go for a walk. And to walk the dog. However although there are no go zones for dogs I personally didn't see the no go zones. So think signage could be a little clearer either that or we didn't see half the park as we saw no no go areas...
The Pavilion cafe was amazing. Staff being Autism aware really helped when a young girl lost her doll in the water feature. And staff fished it out for her. Lots of respect. I'll be going back... Nearly forgot.. The coffee was amazing.
M. C.
Very clean and tidy great for the kids
P. H.
Great park with a good mix of open spaces & activities/play areas. Need to get the water play area back up & running asap to really give it a boost. A bit too much goose pop to avoid on paths & bins often overflowing. Both of which make dog walking more difficult.
D. W.
Love East Park it was so picturesque with the trees changing colour and the leaves dropping. Cafe staff were very friendly xxx
A. S.
Lovely big park just off the city centre. Varied wildlife in the park and a mini zoo open in the spring summer and autumn months. Play areas for children of various ages and a lovely park cafe with very good choices of food and drinks.
A. P.
Love this park. I live a couple of mins away so I go in to the park very often. It's great for families as there is lots to see and do. There's animals, play areas, shops, a cafe, huge fields and more. The staff are friendly and there are help points if you need it. It's a really beautiful place, there's lots of lovely trees and plants, ducks, birds, fish, insects. They run events here regularly over the summer time, big fares and music festivals too. If you're looking for somewhere to spend a day out then come to east park.
M. T.
Free of charge to visit and so much space to explore, play or enjoy peaceful surroundings. A nice cafe and toilet facilities and an animal area to visit. I was a little disappointed with the animal area as there were not so many animals as there used to be. I used to love the Alpacas but really missed them last week. The animal enclosures are becoming overgrown with nettles and thistles which is such a shame.
Great playground areas for kids too and of course the lovely lake to walk around.
L. H.
East Park has been a god send through the pandemic. Outdoor space is huge, ducks to feed, friendly squirrels, play area and animals. We love it here.
B. L.
Always clean grounds plenty to do.
d. w.
Great park for kids, nice walks and afew animals to keep everyone happy
C. S.
Good place to walk to, ride your bike or go by car. Lots to do and see.
Cafe was quiet, the soup was good.
K. N.
Best Park in Hull, no question of it. Come and fill your face in the excellent cafe (wonderful staff), and bring some bread for the ducks!
N. M.
Love the park, really clean and lots of space and things to do and see. We take a picnic during the summer but there is a cafe on site and the kids Have a play area. There is a animal "farm" for the kids to see the animals and during summer there are even more things to do. Our favourite thing about the park is the fair that comes to the park during the year.
A. G.
Love going to East park, it has some beautiful gardens, some of which the kids can run around in. There a huge lake with ducks and geese and you always see lots of fishing going on. It really is a park for everyone especially with their mini zoo for everyone to walk around and see the animals. Brilliant for the family and even has a family playing park, with disability swings in too. It's fantastic for a picnic but of you don't fancy that there's the cafe at the centre of the park.
A. E.
Nice for a lil walk around the lake
D. B.
Lovely large open space. Quiet, belies the fact its along a busy corridor of Hull. Great for walkers, cyclists, dog walkers, picnics and games. New play equipment gives the playground a much needed updated look
K. Z.
Nice for a walk around and the train runs round the park. Plenty of things for children to do and the animals to see and feed the ducks.
C. D.
Great days. We last visited veteran day.
This was fantastic for the kids, lots to look at and photo opportunities, we visit this park very often across summer.
The kids love seeing the animals, and there is always something goi g on across summer.
T. M.
Fantastic local Park, always plenty to do ☺️
P. M.
Great ace for families lots to do and see
R. R.
Absolutely gorgeous park! Loving going there is so pretty! The little farm is so cute animals are amazing! Be aware of people coming with their 8 kids and getting in your way non stop though:)
A. S.
Grandson loved the park and the animals.
K. D.
Great park to spend a day with the family, we usually take a picnic but the cafe has a good choice and good value. The animal enclosure is great and we love seeing the famous parrots. You can get a pedalo to take around the lake. The playpark needs a bit of TLC and money putting into it though.
t. M.
Very good place to go with the family we had a picnic there lost of seats even had a squirrel trying to get some food
A. H.
Fantastic size park with lots for children to enjoy. Play area needs some tlc but the animal centre is good. There's a children's library open certain days and times next to the cafe and the park often has events going on
A. B.
Beautiful ❤️ well kept ,massive open spaces with so much to do,walks, water, cafe, parks, bouncy castles, amazing
b. J.
Great for kids free animal sanctuary ,wet play area swings slides have great venue's on boats play area donkey rides nice clean new cafe loads of parkland to play on could spend a full day there and not get bored.
J. R.
Very enjoyable walk in the park, finished our visit with a lovely snack at the cafe. All the staff pleasant, courteous, good service.Well worth a visit.
l. w.
Toilets need a deep clean but children's park was nice and glad to see splash boat finally up and running ..good day out
P. F.
Easily one of the best parks in Hull - perfect for wandering, exploring random paths with the kids, scooting, cycling (...and brilliant wide roads for kids to learn to ride) and loads more. The playground has lots of good equipment, the animal education centre is great and the cafe in the centre is reasonably priced. Plus, swan boat pedaloes and the splash boat in the summer!
Well worth a visit at any point in the year :)
C. P.
Good wholesome fun to be had by all
S. c.
Lovely day out different things to do for the kids. Take a ride on the swans seats five, on the river, you buy tokens for different things. Lovely place.
G. R.
Plenty to do for all the family at low cost and possible not to spend anything and still have a great day out. Good to see the Victorian log flume operational again
P.
Really good park lots to see and do nice play area for the kids some nice animals to see a good walk round cheap day out there is a cafe there good for dog walks and running our just have a bike ride
The people who are running the park are doing a great job
A. L.
This place is amazing. Such a Grest family day out. We are going to go again once the weather is abit better as when we went it was raining. There's many different animals to look at and my 18 month old really enjoyed it. We didn't get to go around the full park however next time we are in Hull we will. You could make a day out of it here and take a picnic or go in the cafe. There's fields to play football. You can go see the animals or feed the ducks and also there is a water play area and park.
S. J.
Not a bad park, large and spacious with plenty of areas to relax, great if you have children as there is a cafe with toilet facilities, also lots of animals and bird enclosures to keep the kids occupied. One of the better parks in hull
L. W.
Lots of things to do and enjoy with the kids. Lots of open space which is used regularly for events including fun fairs and the annual veterans weekend both of which we have visited and enjoyed immensely. We loved looking at the animals and watching wildlife, we put monkey nuts down and waited for the squirrels to come and get them so we could get a photo. We've splashed about in the water park during the summer as well as having riding the splash boat. We've spent time playing with the kids on the flying fox as well as the other equipment in the playground near the splashboat viewing area and we've had many birthday picnics there too. We even did a photo shoot one day. One of the best parks I've ever been too.

Good for a long walk.
Plenty to see and do.

Absolute gem in the middle of Hull. Plenty to see and do.
J. H.
Great place for all the family. With a play park, small animal centre, water bird pond and a remote control boat pond. As well as plenty of paths and open space for all the family to wonder and adventure for hours.
J. A.
Park lovely but as hadn't booked couldn't see animals grandchildren upset grounds good condition
P. H.
Good to have a wide open green space so close to me

East Park provides a full day out with the family with plenty to do and see. Helps that the weather is good but in any case East Park is brilliant. A cash machine would be useful because the queues for ice cream are so long and if one hasn't cash the problem of paying adds to complications.
L. m. O.
Relaxing and peaceful great place for a community
L. C.
Great for the kids private for young ones ànď the elderly for a picnic great place for all
J. B.

M. P.
Did parkrun this morning, lovely surroundings good fun .
s. c.
Lovely open space with park and small zoo
G. G.
We come here for a few hours every couple of months and every visit is different. This time we didn't make it as far as feeding the ducks or seeing the animals as we were so busy having a picnic, playing in the playground and kicking a ball around.
A. W.
Nice big park plenty of open space for kids to play. There is a large cafe for all your drinks and food it is disabled friendly...there are rocks for the kids to play on plenty of play equipment to use there are lakes that you can fish in ....overall cheap trip to the park
D. T.
Great park, lots to do. Animals, the land train. Great day out. Kids loved it
L. F.
I've been coming to this park since I was a child. It has seen many improvements over the years, more recently the addition of a water park. The splash boat has always been an excellent feature in summer months and the boating lake too. On our most recent visit we had gone specifically to visit the animal enclosure as I wanted to see if there had been any new additions and to take some photographs. There are lots of species to see here: grey squirrels, peacocks, wallabies, alpacas and a very noisy emu. The walk-in aviary is home to Budgerigars, parakeets, cockatiels and more exotic species such as white faced whistling ducks and the Turaco. You'll also find larger parrots such as African Grey's and conures in the external aviaries and marmosets and ring tailed lemurs can also be found nearby.
Parking here is free, there are toilets and a cafe. There is also a small newsagents that sells duck food. Much of this parks open grassed areas are surrounded by ponds/lakes with many ducks, geese and other water birds. Please keep your children close and your dogs on a leash!
M. R.
Nice place for a walk . The carpark situation is not very good at the moment. The main gates ate closed and you have to go through Woodford
E. F.
There's loads to do here for family's and most of it is free, the only things you have to pay for are the land train and the Swan boats but even those are extremely cheap. There's free parking and free entry to their petting zoo area, as well as cheap theme park rides for children. The while place was really well kept, lots of open spaces to play games with the family and dog friendly too :) definitely worth a visit!
K. K.
It was a joy today. Lots of families meeting up. Parking fine. Had not been for sometime.
Oh and Burgess Ice cream. Great.
G. W.
Great place for all the family. You can feed the duck's, run around and play in the playground. There is also a very reasonable price café. I was disappointed with the fact that I had to pay £2 for my 18 month old granddaughter to sit on my knee on the train ride!
S. B.
It is very pleasant just for general exercise! for me walking around & there are spot's to sit down & take time to enjoy with a flask of hot tea. Take all the beauty in.
C. D.
A really great park plenty to do, play ground, animals, cafe and the boat/pedalos in summer. We've also used the disability bikes in summer to (great and cheep but you must book in advance) the park is well maintained its just a shame theres so much litter. Loads of bins people just dont use them.
H.
Lovly place to visit. Need whole day for it.water boats are there to enjoy. Birds and duck. Children play areas. Best place
J. H.

A beautiful well kept park and gardens wonderful boating lake and a great annimal sanctuary! Responsible dog owners are welcome as well as great waking/jogging and bike trails. There is also two fun packed parks with slides and climbing equipment and a little train that goes around the park as well as swan self peddled boats on the lake for hire responsible fishermen can also buy a day ticket
N. K.
Not been there for year's but couldn't believe how much better it's now . cleaned and maintained very well highly recommend for the little ones.
S. M.
A really good park with open spaces plenty if trees and shrubs and a boating lake.
Also has a small animal and bird zoo, with a terrific walk through aviary . great park for kids who like to climb etc...well maintained and a large area to roam , play ball , ride bikes , a truly great urban park.
A. W.
A pleasant place for every age group. Lots of space for young children to run around. A lovely aviary, and plenty of animals to see. The outside toilets could do with an up-grade though.
R. D.
There are often events on here and the park and playground is great for families with small children. The bird sanctuary was closed last time I visited the animal area which was disappointing, but there are still plenty of animals to see. If you go to the cafe on a busy day the queues can be out the door, which is a bit ridiculous if you're only going for some chips.
L. T.
Great Park for a cheap day out, they have animals which are free to see, a walk through bird area, duck pond, play parks and a cafe, there is also rides which have a small fee.
D.
A nice spacious park with lots of things to do with the children. There's an animal centre to Walk around. A lake where you can fish or go on a paddle boat. A play area with swings etc. A cafe if you want a snack or a drink. Walk ways and rocks to climb on. You can spend a whole day there without breaking the bank.
D. M.
This is an outstanding city park that is a true assett to Hull. Large public spaces, a lake, good childrens play areas, a splash boat ride, an animal zoo attraction plus lots of wild swans and ducks. There is plenty for all the family here.
A. W.
East park is large n pleasant. There's lots of things to do. See animals, outdoor gym, nice pond area and a cafe.
They have a colour code system for dogs, they must be on leads in some areas but there's lots of space where you can let your dog(s) run about.
r. s.
Was a nice place token prices are good £1 per token and the Swan bots was a nic experience. The park is a nice place for yong kids and older kids. Also the nature is amazing if yiu love out doors and each time I go I have desuverd even more fun places for kids
L. D.
New water area is great for kids over the summer weeks. It's only open at certain times so worth checking.
L. B.
Very good park and a great parkrun!
A. M.
Great for children plenty to keep them occupied had a nice picnic on the grass
J. H.
Went in Park to watch the 7 Ally's Event. With the trees all lit up it looked beautiful. This should be done more often with relaxing music playing, it would be pleasant to spend the summer evenings having a walk round x
t. q. q.
Lovely park, love the animals can't wait to go in the summer
p. l. (.
Great space lots for kids to do, quiet loads of green space and the opportunity to share time with others or space to be alone spend hours watching and feeding the animals great way to kill hours of time
Y. W.
Lovely park. Great cafe. Not too busy. Lots of families.
L. A.
Great space to visit. We sometimes take a picnic and make the day of it. Kids love the boats, outdoor gym and animal house. There's a decent playground and plenty of space for biking, rollerskating, football etc. Nice to walk the perimeter.
P. G.
East Park is the best park in the area. Lovely greens and trees plus Play areas, cafe, splash boat, gardens, Rockies, lake, birds and animals. We were there for 'Yoga in the Park' . Wonderful place
J. A.
WOW the best park in Hull. Has Animals if you go early before they close around 2pm nice ice creams and hot food in cafe in the middle of the park. They always have events going on so worth checking online to see whats on next before going. There are lots of squirrels running up and down the trees too which is exciting for the kids
D. F.
Great place for photography
E. C.
Great park; café is excellent and they allow dogs. Children's attractions, play areas etc. are well organised and are great for play. There are the ducks and other animals in the visitor centre. Really impressed with how they have invested in this space. Well done!
S. B.
Can get to over crowded on Nice days the easing of lockdown there need s to be measure put in place to ensure people don't get to close after all we are only human but it's not over the virus is still very real and people tend to forget or just don't care anymore
S. B.
Lots to do big adventure playground, water with boats and swans to go on the water, donkey rides, huge open spaces, outdoor gym, toilets, formal gardens - really nice for children and mostly buggy friendly
D. S.
Great park less then a mile from city centre boating lake , nature wildlife centre, large cafe closed at the moment all the swings and things for the kids and great just for a good walk or run etc etc
A.
Easily the best park in the area. Huge play ground, lots of space for bike rides and plenty of picnic areas. Also with a free mini zoo... cant go wrong for a nice day out with the kids
H. E.
Lovely park, beautiful lake with Swan boats during the summer. Nice playground for the kids. There is also outdoor exercise equipment, a cafe and they have events such as fairs, veterans weekend etc throughout the year.
j. s.
A large park with plenty of free car parking. Has a cafe, good food, snacks, ices etc, the staff are friendly and the prices reasonable. Has a boating lake, peddle powered swans, and fishing. A football pitch, chidrens play area, and animal enclosure. Lovely gardens with rock climbing. This park has events throughout the year although the Hull veterans event seems to have lost direction. A good day out overall.
H.
I think it's a really good place for kids to mess around and parents can relax and watch them. However, I feel like there could be more entertainment more often since there's a massive field.
A. E.
Really great park. Spacious and well kept. Animals are well looked after and there's plenty for the kid's to do. There are lots of events throughout the year, and places to sit and relax, especially liked the Mick Ronson garden (when I eventually found it lol)
S. S.
Good park with a great aviary and a huge pond.. there are ample places to picnic, also you can fish and kids can play on the impressive amount of park rides. Other animals include guinea pigs, iguanas, Rhea (an animal similar to an ostrich) goats, wallabies and llamas.
K. R.
Revisit this place a lot aswell as the playpark and ice cream shop.
P. D.
kids love going to East Park spend the day there
R. W.
Really good animal area which is free! I would quiet happily pay a few quid to get into but free is always good too. Good walk around feeding squirrels with the toddler he loves it and the park area is good too!
S. G.
Always love the animal walk through
P.
lovely to see families out enjoying the sunshine, beautifully kept park the cafe is lovely,
S. H.
Large park with lots of walkways to go for a gentle stroll. The park is also excellent with lots of different things for little ones to enjoy. The animal area is also great with lots of different birds and some other animals to see.
E. T.
Lovely park but so much going on at the minute. Muddy and paths u can't get through because of so much flooding water. Puddles everywhere xx
E. “. B.
I like taking my kids here. There's lots to do in summer time. There's an animal park, pedalos, splash boat, lots of geese and ducks, a café, ice cream shop and lots of event days too. Also donkey rides in the summer time.
A. T.
Lovely park but badly run. You can't go on the bikes unless you book, which is awkward for a disabled person who doesn't know how they are going to feel at any time or day. Therefore it is prejudiced against certain people
G. S.
East Park was quiet, sunny and warm. Plenty of trees turning colour and lots squirrels about. Spent a pleasant couple of hours walking around taking photos.
L. W.
Shame the walk through aviary was closed but other than that a great time was had. We enjoyed the splash boat, the guy that runs it was great! So funny! The new climbing frame in the play area was a hit too! Great cheap day out.
M. S.
All round great place to visit and is free to go and park what's not to like about that. There is an animal Avery to see that is also free, massive park for the kids.
Would definitely go back
M.
Overall it's a really nice park to visit, from the wildlife to the children's entertainment the park never let's me down. Would definitely recommend to people who like to be out and about.

Fantastic for all ages. Something for everyone.
P. W.
Spent nearly four hours in East Park today. Very pleasant day with the grandaughters. Fed ducks and squirrels. Pre booked animal enclosure. Very good.
C. H.
Nice on a sunny day parking a nightmare
G. A.
Fantastic place to take the kidsc this summer. Didn't manage to do and see everything so will be back soon.
G. D.
Great outdoor natural space with friendly squirrels. Great for dog walks and the kids park / animal enclosures are great too for a couple of hours out.
S. M. K.
Great location and interesting featured Animal Park with a Boating Lake and Water Chute. Large open spaces and quiet spots with scope for cycling and joggers. A newly refurbished Woodford Leisure Centre is nearby with easy walking distance. Excellent Cafe and lots of Cherry Blossom Trees in season. 10/10
C. B.
One of my favourite parks in the city, it also hosts several events throughout the year including the hull show, and has had recent expansion. Though some of the animals don't seem to be there any more there's still plenty more to see, not to mention the aviary and a decent cafe with outside seating. A stones throw from the leisure centre.
M. G.
Wide open spaces wirh good play and educational facilities for kids of all ages
D. D.
I love spending time here, lots of open space, play area a little boggy at times. Hopefully the council are making more parking spaces. I spent my youth in the park, as an older visitor I've noticed changes. The Rockies have not really changed, except for the smelly tower. The animal enclosure is always on our list, the Mick Ronson guitar, and an Ice cream from the shop by the lake
S. C.
A fabulous park in Hull that offers a variety of experiences, from seeing animals to dog walking to paddling in the swans on the lake. It's a lovely piece of greenery and leisure in a busy area of the city. Great for families, couples who want a walk in a lovely park or a fitness enthusiast.
S. K.
Fantastic park , has a lake and play areas 4 children, cafe is very good. Great place as dog's are well come great time out 4 all.
P. B.
Always a relaxing walk with plenty to see.
e. f.
a very big, great park
M. C.
The zip wirer has gone, the trampoline and the monkey bars have gone I know this is due to vandalism but if they made the park more interesting then nobody would vandalise. Also the geese are a problem they are alright near the lake but they scare young children in the play area and because the younger children try to make the geese go away the geese get distressed so they bit the children please fix this.
M. E. O.
The park is beautiful and big enough. There is a library and a cafe. The cafe might be the only toilet facility the park has. But we couldn't use it as it was closed even at 4:30pm. You can park there in ample space. The park closes at dusk. It is late October. Today they closed at 6pm. Remember they will close the main gate 30min before. So you have to remove the car 30min before the park closes.
L. F.
Always enjoy my visits to the park. Lots to do with my son, feed ducks, visit animals. He's not tall enough for the splash boat yet though! I'm also finally trying parkrun so another good use of the space.
N. K.
It was a lovely day but the fun fair was very disappointing it cost 2.00 for five minutes on the trampoline then my grandson wanted to go on again. So I played another 2 pounds but he got off straight away and the didn't refund me the tokens do it cost me 4 pound for 6 minutes on a trampoline bearing in mind my grandson is 2 and a half
He then wanted to go on the bouncy castle which cost me another 2 pound only for him to get off after about 2 minutes still didn't refund me so it cost me 6 pound for 8 minutes on the rides. I wouldn't ofili ded if they were busy but there was nobody at all on either the trampoline or the bouncy castle . The fun fair was nearly empty. My grandson was on the trampoline and bouncy castle alone so I couldn't see the problem In him staying on yet they charged me for 2 goes on the trampoline. I couldn't believe it when the asked me to pay again for another five minutes or take him off
He was devastated it's a complete RIP off his families of 2 and 3 children could ever afford to take there children is beyond me. The park itself is amazing but the fun fair is a total disappointment and a RIP off
🤨🤨🤨

Very well kept park with a boating pond, playgrounds and a nice café. Free parking available at Holderness Road.
M. D.
A great place to take the kids. I love the animal enclosure. I saw baby peacocks for the first time there and my granddaughter loves to feed the ducks. Duck food can be bought nearby.
J. T.
Lovely park. Attractions are a little overpriced but overall a lovely day out. Nice cafe, good surroundings and grounds are well maintained.
