Brilliant park in Hessle. Our first visit. Loved it. Large area, lots for kids to do. Lake , paddling pool( summer only).Lots of play equipment, exercise gear, geese and ducks. Recommend.

It's nice place for visit with family or just alone, for rest from city loud life. Here plenty place for walk with a dog, run or just enjoy of nature. Here also is a place where kids can play, a same time parents have time just for yourself. I recommend this place for visit and enjoy.

Great place to visit for families or in our case our 3yr old grandson with lots of energy to burn. Lots of activities & safe play area. Picnic area Wide open spaces. Large pond with ducks geese & swans. Overall a good place to visit for an hour or so to take away the lockdown blues.

Beautiful park although neglected in parts still lots of beautiful trees shrubs and wildlife. Lots of cheeky squirrels and saw a beautiful fox. Wonderful to have such green spaces in such a built up busy place. Visited again lots of ground works taking place, the area were the animals where, which was run down is now refurbished and awaiting its new residents. Lots of families in the park, and people enjoying a beautiful open area.

beautiful park, lovely to see the meerkats, they are very well cared for, the geese have lots babies, sadly the atmosphere was spoilt by an idiot wheelying through the park on a fast motor bike very scary with so many children running around

Thought this would be a great place to take the grandchildren out for a walk, unfortunately as we arrived it started raining, we still had a walk around, the slides and swings looked good and safe, there's plenty of green space and quite surprised how big the lake was and how many people were fishing around the lake, plenty of geese and ducks to feed, pity was the bird avery was closed for refurbishment, there are public toilets, a place we will visit again hopefully in sunnier times.

Pickering park is fantastic! Loads for kids to do, and a free day out, the park caretaker was a nice chap to.. Pool only open in the summer holidays as far as i know but the park is massive and could easily spend the whole day there..

Huge, open area with a small play park for young children. The paddling pool is open in summer months and is large enough for a couple of dozen kids to splash around in. There used to be an aviary but hasn't been in use for a couple of years, although, there looks to be some renovations taking place. The little fishing pond near the whalebone arch is in dire need of cleaning. This used to be my favourite park growing up, but needs some serious caretaking and rejuvenation.

Love fishing at Pickering park. The lake is lovely. The paddling pool on a hot summer day is great fun and very clean. Sadly, The little pond near the animal enclosure is riddled with rats. They actually start coming into clear view and slowly edge closer to you if you hang about and have food.

Fantastic amazing place. I like to go to the top of the hill and sit in the Asian garden and watch the wildlife. I haven't been on it yet however i will when i go bk on the show boat and get some great photos. The cafe there is fab excellent food and drink. It has a 5 for food hygiene. Grand place.

We love Pickering park. Dogs love meeting with other dogs (and owners) and our grandchildren love the playground and squirrels! Hope to try the paddling pool in the summer. Just wish the aviaries had inhabitants.
